An entire volume dedicated to Chrono's past! So sweet, so sad, so good. We see how Chrono lost his horns, we see why the series has 'Mary Magdalene' as part of the title (look in the second C), we see where the watch came from. And now we're off to fight the final battle~!This series has 8 volumes.

I've been enjoying the Chrono Crusade series on the whole so far. Some parts are better than others, but the series itself is strong and entertaining. In a succession of circumstances best left as a tale for another day, I had enormous trouble getting my hands on a copy of Volume Six. I managed to snag all the others, including Seven and Eight, just fine, but I couldn't read those two without having read Six. So, I jumped through all the hoops life kept holding in front of me and I finally have I've been enjoying the Chrono Crusade series on the whole so far. I managed to snag all the others, including Seven and Eight, just fine, but I couldn't read those two without having read Six. So, I jumped through all the hoops life kept holding in front of me and I finally have Six in my possession. Of course, I read it the first chance I got.It was easily worth the wait as this is the best volume in the series so far. It picks up where Five leaves off, with Rosette diving into Chrono's mind in an attempt to bring him back. This in itself is a journey, leading her through Chrono's memories and showing her bits of his past that give her a chance to understand him a little better. One of the most important things she witnesses is time he spends with a certain someone... time that ends in tragedy, and explains why Chrono does what he does for Rosette. And though her time begins to run short, Rosette chooses not to hurry, wishing to see as much as she can. The whole sequence is a great example of how perfect manga can be for pure storytelling, and it makes us care about both of these characters more than ever.Chrono and Rosette: Together againOf course, things are still happening in the real world, and these things are putting real pressure on the Magdala Order. And the Sinners are still out there, up to know good... and Joshua, Rosette's long-lost brother, has yet to be liberated. This volume contains a couple of real surprises, and very welcome ones at that, and though Rosette pretty much acts the way she always does, she's finally allowing her more vulnerable side to show without being so self-conscious about it. She's progressing as a character, and though this volume isn't all about her, she steals the spotlight every chance she gets. The wait for Volume Six was a long one, but the waiting paid off. I certainly can't wait to dig into Seven!

To opravdu oceňuji.

I still can't get over the fact that Chrono is like super old, and whenever he uses his powers he can go from a 12 or 13 year old to an adult. He has a pretty intense past, and I can tell why he wants to protect Rosette so much so he doesn't let the same thing happen twice. It was really cute when Rosette both walked over to Chrono in their mind, and in real life, and then she kind of smushed his cheeks. :)Also the part when Rosette fell backwards, (in their mind) and was falling in real life too, I still can't get over the fact that Chrono is like super old, and whenever he uses his powers he can go from a 12 or 13 year old to an adult. He has a pretty intense past, and I can tell why he wants to protect Rosette so much so he doesn't let the same thing happen twice. It was really cute when Rosette both walked over to Chrono in their mind, and in real life, and then she kind of smushed his cheeks. :)Also the part when Rosette fell backwards, (in their mind) and was falling in real life too, and then Chrono caught her. ☺ So cute...
