Thank you for the opportunity to read this early copy, and to say goodbye to familiar friends and foes of the House of Night!*Love, loss, faith and forgiveness are themes that beautifully greet and depart characters in Found from the House of Night Otherworld series by P.C. and Kristin Cast. Adventures with vampyres, immortals, and a some fascinating humans continue in the Otherworld as our favorite Nerd Herd, and Other Kevin and company once again find themselves battling forces of darkness. Another element at play making its return is old magick, and the use of which continues to increase its price of payment in exchange for use, and the stakes are higher than before. However, with love, friendship, and the strength to move forward our Nerd Herd and Otherworld friends work to yet again restore the balance of light and darkness. Also, in addition to our usual cast of characters we are reunited with new additions from Forgotten who you will find yourself as invested in as the original Nerd Herd, and villain at play. While I wish not to reveal too much or spoil any surprises (trust me when I say that this book is full of them) there were some elements I want to highlight. For one thing, I truly appreciated that all of the characters were as familiar as when we last met them, and we can seemingly pick up where we left off. Core elements of the plot and their ties are graciously left with reminders for those who need a quick refresher so readers do not have to worry too much about rereading prior to starting this novel, but I do recommend reading the other installments first if you haven’t already. Also, I appreciate once again how characters from two worlds have their own personalities that allows them that distinction as being separate characters from their counterparts. As a final note, I appreciated that two mirror worlds not only could be distinguished between one another, but that the events there and characters within were easy to follow as alternate realities can definitely get confusing (and as always I appreciate the humor taken with this issue as in previous installments)! I would recommend Found to any and all fans of the House of Night series, and especially to those who have been up to date within the Otherworld series. This novel is one that adults and teenagers can definitely bond over together, and is sensitive to topics such as grief, and opens doors to conversation on how we react to or can handle grief in a manner that allows us to move forward. I also appreciate that this book really touches on how to have healthy relationships, and how to mature through relationships that makes for an excellent source of inspiration for young adult readers contending with those issues. As always, I appreciate the care taken to characters both young and old, and those of all walks of life as we are once again greeted by the familiar phrase of “Love, always love”.

Interesting ending. Does this mean there might be more books set in this universe?

This one was tough for me, took me 3 days to finish, when it's usually in the same night. I find I don't really care for the different worlds, the same characters, it gets easy to forget who is who, which world character is talking/acting. I will say that I did like the ending to this one, liked how so many of the characters are getting a second chance to do the right thing with their lives.

Started the HON series in my 20s and am finishing the second series at 39. Definitely not too old to still read it. I shed a tear or two at the end of this book. I'm happy that certain characters got the endings they did. Hopefully someday there will be more books to read in this world.

How can that ever be stronger than the power of love?” After I finished Found, I just sat there quietly for a short while and thought to myself that this book was definitely the most perfect conclusion to the House of Night Otherworld series, as well as the House of Night series in general. I loved this book so much! It gave each and every character the perfect closure and I honestly could not have hoped for anything better.(view spoiler)[My favorite aspect about this book was undoubtedly seeing Other Neferet and experiencing her redemption arc as it unfolded. More and more I could really start seeing the differences between Other Neferet and Neferet in this book, from the genuine love and care that Other Neferet was able to feel, especially in regards to Other Lynette, to the sacrifices she made for Lynette as well as her aversion to unnecessary violence. Although she had definitely allied herself with evil and Darkness, you could tell that she made evil choices purely out of considering them necessary, and she did not revel in it as much as Neferet did. It was incredibly beautiful and poetic how Neferet let herself open up more and more to love and Light until eventually, the love of Nyx flooded back into her heart.I was also very shocked when Neferet asked Lynette to Imprint with her, which I found genuinely sweet and intimate. I’m not entirely sure whether Neferet and Lynette’s relationship is just platonic, or whether they might eventually turn into lovers, but I loved seeing their bond and love grow. Seeing Other Aphrodite when Kevin stepped into Nyx’s Realm to cross worlds got me very emotional. Their conversations, especially the last one when Kevin crossed back into the Otherworld for the final time was incredibly bittersweet, but also gave both of them much-needed closure. When she told him to find love again and that she would be waiting for him, my heart just hurt so bad. I’m really glad that Kevin found a chance to love again (this time with Other Shaunee), but his and Aphrodite’s love for one another was just so pure and I am definitely not over her dying yet.“I don’t know how strong my connection to spirit is, but I know one thing for sure. The love I have for Aphrodite is unbreakable, and I will pay any price to see her again.”Speaking of finding closure with one another, Other Stark was also able to find closure with Zoey when they had their conversation with one another. I really love how this series really highlights how important and impactful our choices and free will are to our own experiences and lives. Although the Otherworld and the “regular” world had tons of similarities and parallels, you can really see just how different someone’s life could be if they had made different choices. P.C. and Kristin Cast also beautifully show that there is no such thing as only “one true soulmate” for everyone, but that our choices and our surroundings do change us and shape us into who we are and who we end up loving, and I find that message to be incredibly beautiful and empowering. Finally, the part of the book that definitely had me most emotional and teary-eyed would have to be the ending, when Aphrodite granted Neferet a second chance at life, as well as when Nyx descended to bless the humans, vampyres and fledglings. I was definitely not expecting Aphrodite to grant Neferet a second chance. For the most part of reading this book, I was expecting Neferet to end up sacrificing herself for Lynette and then entering Nyx’s Realm. And I most definitely was not expecting her to revert back to being sixteen year old Emily. I found this to be absolutely poetic and beautiful. And because I just love happy endings more than anything, I was super duper happy when Rephaim was granted freedom from his penance, and that Lynette was also granted vampyrism. Seeing Lynette and Emily happy together in the end was probably the thing that made me most happy and that beautifully rounded off the story of the two Neferets. I was both surprised and intrigued that Emily was granted an affinity over Old Magick by Nyx. This definitely swings a door to further books wide open (as P.C puts it). I would love to read more about her development, since this affinity is definitely going to intertwine with her general development, and whether she will end up choosing Light or Darkness again. (hide spoiler)] Thank you P.C. & Kristin Cast for crafting this beautiful Otherworld series for your fans. I absolutely loved all four books and definitely await more books in the future!

Oh wow. It's over. So bittersweet.(view spoiler)[I felt that P.C. and Kristin did an amazing job finding closure for nearly every person and situation with this book, if not the Other World Series. I loved James' growth, even though it seemed rather fast. I loved watching Other Shaunee learn the lessons that this Oh wow. It's over. I loved James' growth, even though it seemed rather fast. I loved watching Other Shaunee learn the lessons that this world's Shaunee already had to face. I loved watching the Other World counterparts falling in love and moving past their heartbreaks. And Rephaim and Stevie Rae! What a sweet thing for their relationship. It warms my heart to imagine them cuddling together all night now. All my favorite characters seemed to get a better grasp on themselves and their power. The reunion of Zoey and Health!! Major teary eyes. Their love is so sweet. While I absolutely love the way that Stark and Zoey are with one another, I really loved Health and Zoey's relationship and unconditional love for one another. It seems like one that will last centuries. Only getting a few pages of them made me long for the good old times before the end of Tempted. Not to sound like a whiney, ungrateful child, but I wanted more. Regardless, they did leave on a good note. It seems like the two of them got some solid closure, though I'm not sure anyone can really, truly move on from a love like the one they had/have together.I love that Zoey found another way to travel between the worlds. I can just imagine all the fun times they'll have getting together, celebrating life's milestones with everyone. It'll almost be like seeing your distant relatives a few times a year, for Christmas or Easter. Other Kevin and Grandma Redbird will get their Zoey back, even if only a few times a year. Maybe Health will even make an appearance...well one can hope and dream. The only thing I did not like about this book as much was the fact that, besides mention of them here and there, Shaunee and Shaylin are not really in the book. Nor are Nicole or Erik. I grew to love those characters and was a little sad that, in potentially the last book from the HoN realm ever, they were stuck in their respective areas because of weather. Can't they control the weather with their powers, if they really tried? Maybe the Cast ladies did this on purpose, but it's still a little upsetting not really getting to say goodbye to them.If they do end up making more books in the HoN realm, I hope it's later on in their lives. I hope everyone gets to grow a little more. It's crazy to think that the original twelve novels, and these four, have only taken place through a year and a half of their lives. They've dealt with so much heartache and pain that I hope they get a long time to recoup, and then some. Maybe on the Isle of Skye!? Not to mention that, while I absolutely loved growing with Zoey in the awkward teen years, I want to see her as an older, more mature vampyre than her eighteen-year-old self. How will she and everyone be in ten, twenty years? What new conflicts will the Nerd Heard need to face? (hide spoiler)]That's this book though, isn't it? Bittersweet, because I (we) have grown so attached to these characters. I've grown up reading them. I loved the original series when I read them as a kid, and rediscovering them (and the Other World Series) now has brought so much nostalgia for me during this wild time. I think this will forever be my favorite series about vampyres, because it is so, so much more. It's about love--always love

    I. Am. Bawling!I'm so happy with how the series ended! Everyone got closure and after reading these books for the last 12 years, I believe they deserve it! I only have a couple of gripes about the book. One being that we don't see the OG Shawnee at all in the conclusion and she has been around since Marked, so that sucks. She deserved to atleast show up at some point in the book other than being mentioned as busy. Her character wouldn't have let her friends battle Neferet alone, so not thrilled I. Am. She deserved to atleast show up at some point in the book other than being mentioned as busy. Her character wouldn't have let her friends battle Neferet alone, so not thrilled about that.Another thing was I wanted there to be atleast ONE main character death. These books have been a huge part of my reading life for like I said 12 years. The only thing I find annoying about the magic system is that they can always bring people back to life or see them after death. There's no loss or finality in their deaths which in my opinion cheapens it. Also, not fearing for their lives makes any dire situation less engaging because Magick can always bring them back. If they do write another installment to this series, I hope they put an end to resurrecting characters and let them die a dramatic, heartbreaking death in the name of Light and Love.My last gripe before we get to the things I loved, is the way Other Neferet and Lynette talk about the five girls who they use. P.C. and Kristen are all about empowering women and love, and i feel that it goes against their message to tear these women to bits for being who they are. Yes, they are portrayed as terrible people, which they are. I agree with that much. I'm just saying, tearing them down for the way they dress, and what they like to do and the confidence they have in themselves is counterproductive to building women's confidence in who they are. They were overly vain with the self portraits around their home, but if i were as comfortable in my own body as these women, I would like to think I would have photos of myself in my home as well.Things I LOVEDOther Neferet's character arc! YES YES YES. I love that she was given a second chance. Not just by saving her life, but by reversing the clock so that she could be a whole different, best version of herself. I loved her relationship with Lynette and that it saved her. Lynette stayed by her side through the good and the bad. If lynette would have abandoned Neferet when she was still on the wrong path, she never would have seen who she was meant to be. She needed to be 'Redeemed' (😆). We even got to see change and growth in her 'children', it was unexpected and awesome!Less political B.S. I love the escapism of fiction. I hated the political nods in the previous books in this series. I'd be all happy reading in the fantasy world and then BOOM real world would be brought up, and it was really disappointing. Im so happy that they left out the political issues we have today in this novel. Thank you for that.Overall, this is my favorite book in the entire HON world, including the OG series. I'm so excited for the TV show, so much that I am considering getting cable when it comes out and I havent had cable since middle school. I hope Netflix picks up the show so I can binge the hell out of it.🥰My perfect cast:Zoey: Jenna OrtegaStark: Noah CentineoKalona: Ian SomerhalderStevie Ray: Jessica AmleeNeferet: Scarlette Johansson Shawnie: Paige HurdDamien: Ansel ElgortJack: Tom HollandAphrodite: Ashley Benson

I think Found may have been my favorite of the four in the Other World series. Or it could be something else. No matter what it was, I loved it.I loved being able to see what could have happened to the characters if they had chosen different paths or if they hadn't met others that helped them. Two people that immediately come mind are Neferet and Aphrodite. In the Other world, Neferet killed Zoey so Aphrodite never had the chance to meet her and become friends with her, essentially saving her life. So she's just a shell of what she could be had she had love and friends in her life.As for Neferet, we get to see what happens if she had let love into her life rather then holding on to the anger. Kind of quoting what Nyx says in Found- what if Neferet had chosen to heal rather then choosing vengeance? What if she had chosen mercy rather then cruelty? What if she had chosen love rather then hatred? Well in the Other worlds version of Neferet we get to discover what would have happened had she chosen Light over Darkness. Things that I loved in Found are able to be found aplenty, but I think my favorite thing was the last chapter. Other Neferet finally choosing love and Nyx over Darkness was what I wanted when I started reading this series so it was amazing to finally have it happen. When Aphrodite granted her a second chance, I did not expect to have a freshly Marked Neferet in the place of the previous Other Neferet, but I was ecstatic. It was made all the better when Nyx gifted Lynette with a fully changed Vampyre Mark so that she could help Neferet/Emily be better and follow Nyx.Rephaim being forgiven for his past so that he doesn't have to change into a raven at sunrise and being gifted with a vamp Mark as well so that he could spend the rest of his long long life with Stevie Rae was what I always hoped would happen to him. Both his and Lynette's Marks sound beautiful and I now need fan art of them.I also loved that Nyx just basically banished Batsh** Neferet as if she never existed. There wasn't anything that I truly didn't like about this book. I hope there will be more to come in the future.

Every book in the HON/HON Otherworld series is so beautifully crafted and truely takes you to each place and makes you feel a little of what each character feels.
