A Favor for a Favor (All In, #2)
From the New York Times bestselling author of Pucked and A Lie for a Lie, a new stand-alone romance about trading favors, battling wills, and winning love. When I joined Seattle’s NHL expansion team, I thought it was the start of something great. But nothing ever goes the way you expect. Take my introduction to my new neighbor. She came rolling in on the hot mess express at midnight, making a racket while she tried to get into my team captain’s apartment. Did I mention that he’s married to a woman who definitely was not her?Imagine my surprise when I end up with an injury that has me out of the game for weeks, and she’s the one to offer to help me. I should probably add that she’s not the captain’s mistress. She’s his sexy, pastel-haired younger sister. So we come up with an arrangement: she rehabs me so that I can get back on the ice sooner, and she can add a professional athlete that isn’t her brother to her client list. Seems simple enough. As long as I can keep my hands to myself and my hormones in check.

A gritty romance filled with lustful banter between two characters that fight their attraction, but slowly open their hearts for more... Okay, okay... I mean like HELLO?! Can Helena Hunting stop it with the perfection that is her writing? Officially my first favorite book of 2020 and I am not regretting anything... I mean, why would I? Helena never seems to disappoint you at all when it comes down to characters that seriously have the best of the best in chemistry. My gosh, nothing can go wrong A gritty romance filled with lustful banter between two characters that fight their attraction, but slowly open their hearts for more... My gosh, nothing can go wrong with this book. Stevie and Bishop have this banter to them but has you twisting and turning for more of the story because all you want is for them to just rip their clothes off and rub against each other... yes... I said rub against each other. Obviously they do more than that **wink wink** and I just love everything about it.From weirded topping pizza's, to boxer shorts that will have you drooling over what is packing on the inside—Helena brings a brand new witty banter of a novel that will bring your knees weak and wanting more of Stevie and Bishop. Especially when the truth prevails about who Stevie is related to, the one person in which Bishop dislikes the most. But that does not stop them from catching each other from far away, from each other's peep holes wanting to know who comes out first to get the paper, or from trying to deny that being just friends is just not enough for two people who's physical attraction is beyond more then just sex, but so much more. And that's the endearing part of it all, just loving more and more of what Stevie and Bishop become. This romance novel is one that you do not want to miss out on. And yes, though it is part of a series, you can read it as a standalone, but I would not recommend doing so since the first novel is incredible as well! Thank you to SBPR for the copy, I am excited for everyone to throughly enjoy this story as much as I did... and my eyes and hands are ready for the third novel, because I can already tell that Kingston will be my ultimate favorite with how sweet and such a gentlemen he truly is. Helena, GIVE. ME. THAT. BOOK. RIGHT. NOW!ARC kindly provided by Montlake Romance, in exchange for an honest review...Follow Me On:Instagram ❁ Twitter

5 STARS I need you to stop touching me!” It’s stupid because I’m still holding on to her, not the other way around. “Why are you yelling at me?” she shouts back. “Because you’re half-undressed in my tub,and I’m a guy, and apparently my dick is a fucking sadist. It honestly feels like my balls are on fire right now. A semi has literally never been this painful.” “Well, close your damn eyes and think about dead things.” FAVORITE. HELENA HUNTING BOOK. EVER. How do you even top this? This book was 5 STARS I need you to stop touching me!” It’s stupid because I’m still holding on to her, not the other way around. This book was EVERYTHING. The blurb was amazing but it didn't even begin to do this justice. I loved the first in the series, but this story just owned me. It was enemies to lovers with a slow burn to beat all slow burns. It was full of banter and humor and all of the sizzle. GAH! I seriously can't right now with all of my feels!!These two were easily my favorite characters that Helena Hunting has created to date. Stevie is RJ's younger sister from A Lie for a Lie. She's feisty, sharp-witted, and currently trying to move on from walking in on her boyfriend having sex with another woman in their bed. The bed in the apartment they just moved into together. The apartment that they got because of a job they both got and will be working together at. Good times. As she runs away to lick her wounds, looking a hot mess, her brother offers up his condo to her. So of course as fate would have it, what happens when everything that can go wrong does and you're looking a hot mess trying to get the key to work to your temporary new gigs? You run into your ridiculously good looking but terribly tempered neighbor. To say that these two get off on the wrong foot would be a serious understatement. While Stevie is dealing with her new normal, she now has to deal with her grumpy new neighbor that happens to assume that she's his married teammate's sidepiece. So suffice it to say, he's not that happy to see her. No matter that the relationship between RJ and Bishop is antagonistic at best. These two begin an intricate dance of antagonism laced with enough sexual tension to set their condo building on fire. It's enemies to lovers at it's very best. With amazing banter, sizzling chemistry, and all of the funny barbs and one-liners. When Bishop gets dangerously hurt during a game, he's desperate to get back on his feet. And then Stevie offers him her help. She's a physiotherapist specializing in sports therapy. It's a great arrangement. A favor for a favor. She'd help get him back on the ice, and he'd give her the chance to work with her first professional athlete and make a name for herself without her brother's help. Thus begins an even more intricate dance of denying their chemistry as they're forced in tight quarters and to be around each other a lot more often.Bishop was such an amazing hero. This man is brooding, and while looks are deceiving, he's not the typical man-whoring athlete. He takes care of his younger brother and focuses on his career. He has no time for a woman, until one quite literally stumbles into his life. This was such a delicious story. I don't even have all of the words to describe how good. The chemistry was incendiary, the humor was on point, and the story was addictive. Pure perfection on pages. I can't recommend it enough. If you've been living under a rock and haven't read a Helena Hunting book yet, then this is the perfect one to hook you with!ARC courtesy of publisher in exchange for an honest reviewFind me on:

I can get over the four-hour flight delay from LA to Seattle and sitting beside a man who smelled like old cheese and three-day-old underwear on the plane. But add in one of my suitcases taking a detour to Alaska—or maybe it’s Nunavut; who the hell knows?—and the fact that my remaining suitcase now has a broken handle and is missing a wheel, and this day just keeps getting worse. The icing on this crap cake? Less than an hour ago I walked in on my boyfriend, Joey—now my ex—plowing into someone who wasn’t me on our brand-new living room couch. The one my brother bought for us as a housewarming gift. I guess that’s what I get for surprising Joey by arriving two days earlier than expected. On my birthday.“Are you sure you don’t want me to come to Seattle and beat this douche down? I can leave first thing in the morning.” My brother RJ is at his in-laws’ house for the weekend, which is an hour and a half outside the city. That he’s this fired up on my behalf makes me feel marginally better about the whole thing. However, my brother is an NHL player, and a father and a husband. Allowing him to beat up my ex for being a douche and a cheater may assuage my decimated ego and help heal my broken heart, but it’s not a great idea. For one, if RJ lays a beatdown, there’s a good chance he’ll wind up charged with assault. Then his face will be splashed all over the media, Joey will make a spectacle, and I’ll get dragged into it. The last thing I want is my face on social media in connection with my famous brother and my slimy ex. So as much as Joey might deserve a broken nose and black eye, I’ll say no thanks to the potential fallout. “I sincerely appreciate your willingness to engage in violence on my behalf, but I don’t think it’s worth the assault and battery charge.”“I hate that you’re dealing with this on your own, and on your birthday, Stevie. If I’d known you were coming early, I would’ve planned for us to be around this weekend. What if I come get you and bring you back to Lainey’s parents’ for a few days?”“It was a last-minute change of plans.” And obviously not a great one. “And it’s nice of you to offer, but the fact that you’re setting me up with a place to crash is more than enough.” I sincerely love my brother, but I am definitely not interested in hanging out with his in-laws during my postbreakup moping phase. “Besides, I start work at the clinic on Monday, so that would be a lot of back-and-forth for no reason. I promise I’ll be fine.” I watch the numbers flip by as the elevator ascends. Soon I’ll be able to have a nice little meltdown after my craparific day. “I’m almost at the apartment. Why don’t I call you in the morning?”“Okay. I’ll be up for a while longer, so if you run into any problems getting in, send me a message. The lock system is tricky until you get the hang of it.”“I’m sure it’ll be fine; thanks again, RJ.”“Anytime, Stevie. You know that. I’m really sorry. Happy birthday, kiddo. We’ll have dinner, and I’ll get your favorite cake when we’re back in town, okay?”“Sure, sounds good. Thanks again. Love you, bro.” I end the call and tip my chin up to keep the tears from falling. The elevator chimes its arrival at the penthouse floor. I suppose the one plus to finding out my now ex-boyfriend is a cheater is that I get to stay in a much nicer place. At least until I can find a new apartment.I adjust the broken handle of my suitcase as the doors slide open and roll-drag it and myself out of the elevator. I’m exhausted times a million and looking forward to a cathartic snot sob session. A pint or five of ice cream would also be nice.I wish I could adequately appreciate the splendor of the open foyer, but my morose mood does not allow me that indulgence. As I step onto the soft, luxurious carpet, the broken wheel of my suitcase gets caught in that two-inch gap where the doors open.“Seriously?” I yank on it, struggling to dislodge the broken wheel while the doors start to close, bumping against my bag before they slide open again. I toss my purse on the floor so I can wrestle it free, but it’s jammed in there good and tight. The elevator beeps loudly, signaling that the doors have been open too long. It’s late, almost midnight, and I’m hoping these walls are soundproof because I’m causing quite a ruckus. My suitcase finally pulls free, and I stumble back, tripping over my purse and landing on my ass. At least the carpet is soft and the floor is clean. I lie there for a few seconds, waiting for a piano or a safe to fall from the ceiling and land on top of me, because it’s been that kind of a day. When nothing else bad happens—for now—I pick myself up off the floor and decide the best way to deal with my suitcase is to slide it across the carpet to avoid making more of a racket than I have already. Unlike in a regular apartment building, there is no long hallway on the penthouse floor. Instead there are four doors in the open foyer—two on the left and two on the right—making it easy to locate apartment 4004. I guess that means it’ll be quiet, if nothing else.In the middle of the foyer is a glass-topped table with an enormous arrangement of flowers, which accounts for the heavy perfume smell. I skirt the table as I slide my bag across the carpet toward my temporary new home, then remember my purse is still sitting on the floor by the elevators. The key card they issued at the front desk seems to have migrated to the bottom of my bag. I shift around the contents searching for it, but it’s like it belongs to Mary Poppins with how much crap I have in there. I use my suitcase as a chair, the flimsy plastic exterior cracking loudly as my ass hits it. Oh well; it was destined for the garbage anyway with how mangled it is. A jagged piece pokes me in the butt, but I’m too tired to move. The key card and my phone have both magically disappeared into a quarter-size hole in the lining of my purse. It takes me forever to fish them back out. I pull up the instructions on how to open the door, since apparently this building’s key system requires a step-by-step explanation. After dragging myself to my feet, I key in the six-digit code, swipe the card, and turn the handle, but all it does is beep at me.“I just want to lie down,” I mutter to the door. I give the code a second shot, but I get another longer, louder beep. “What the hell? Why won’t you open?” I whisper-yell. Each time I make an attempt to get in, the beep grows louder and longer while my patience wears thinner.I yank on the handle, frustrated. I don’t want to call RJ again because I should be able to open a damn door on my own. I’m probably missing something small. Also, it’s late, and he has a toddler who doesn’t always sleep through the night and loves to get up at ass o’clock in the morning. Kody is super adorable, though, so his rooster-level early rising is mostly tolerable. The door directly across the hall swings open. Awesome. Now I’ve woken my temporary neighbor. Talk about bad first impressions. I turn with the intention of issuing an apology, but my mouth is suddenly desert dry.A man stands in the open doorway. A very, very large man. My brother is a big guy; he towers over everyone with his six feet two inches. But this annoyed-looking man’s head barely clears the doorframe. He’s also broad. Excessively broad. He’s an excessive amount of man in general.Beyond being ridiculously tall and broad, and irritated based on his scowl, all he’s wearing is a pair of boxer briefs. I might be able to get over his overwhelming size and his insanely gorgeous dark-brown, sleep-tousled hair complemented by fiery hazel eyes, a rugged square jaw, and full lips. I can also deal with all that toned muscle and his rippling abs and bulging biceps, finished off with a nice dusting of hair that leads my eye from his navel—it’s an innie—down to his boxer briefs. But that’s where I get stuck, because his crotch has the phrase BEWARE OF FALLING ROCKS with a rockslide right where his peen should be. So now it looks as if I’m checking out his package. I kind of am.“What the hell is going on? It’s almost fucking midnight, and you’re out here making a goddamn racket. Some of us are trying to sleep.” His voice is deep, gritty, and loud. He crosses his bulky arms over his cut chest, which should help cover up some of the nakedness but only seems to draw attention to how thick his arms are.Also. Wow. Talk about hostile.“Sorry. I’m having some problems with my key card and my suitcase.” I flash the key card and motion to my destroyed bag. I’m suddenly super sweaty. Likely from embarrassment over getting chewed out by a hot guy in his underwear.Hot-underwear man scoffs. He doesn’t acknowledge my apology. Nor does he offer his assistance or tone down the dickbagness. “Where the fuck you get that key from?”“How is that any of your business?” I scroll through my messages, trying to figure out what I’m doing wrong with the key card and the code so I can get into the apartment and away from this grade A asshole extraordinaire.“It’s my business because you’re up here on my floor making an unnecessary amount of noise, and I’d put money on it that you paid someone off for that key card.”I pause my message scroll so I can glare at him more effectively. “Excuse me?” This guy takes the jerk cake with his asinine accusations. Such an epic waste of hotness. He tips his chiseled chin up, glares down at me, and jabs a finger in my direction. He really is intimidating. “Which one of the security guys did you pay off? Or were there other favors involved?”“Favors? What are you even talking about?” I’m super confused right now.Underpants a-hole leans against the doorjamb, smirking as his eyes move over me. I’m wearing jeans and a T-shirt with a cartoon birthday cake on it. My hair is tucked into a beanie since I’ve been traveling all day and the humidity has not been kind to it. “You think I haven’t seen this a million times? Chicks are always bribing security for keys to get up here.”“I did not—”He cuts me off before I can put him in his place. “Look, sweet cheeks, I don’t know what you’ve been snorting or mainlining or whatever, but there’s no way you’re getting in there without a code. And even if you do, I’m gonna go ahead and say that this whole shitshow”—he points to his face and motions toward me—“is one hell of a boner-killer, so stop embarrassing yourself and take your broke-down ass back the way you came.”Did he just say my face is a boner-killer? I have so had it with assholes tonight.PREORDER Amazon US → https://amzn.to/31LPGjqCA → https://amzn.to/30zMMgTUK → https://amzn.to/2QlrVOrAU → https://amzn.to/2IhEofrAmazon Worldwide → mybook.to/aFavor4aFavor

He automatically thinks the worst of her. He later learns his new pink haired neighbor is his teammate’s little sister, but not before he makes a terrible first impression.Stevie Bowman is a 24 yr. old woman who is fresh from graduate school and about to start her new job as a physiotherapist. She’s just arrived in Seattle, and nothing goes as planned. She’s an emotional mess, and her professional hockey star brother offers up his empty apartment for her to stay in. When she’s at her lowest, she meets her insanely hot new neighbor who is also full of attitude. He might be a jerk with a horrible personality, but he sure is easy on the eyes. Suddenly Bishop is benched after he gets injured. He needs to get back on the ice sooner rather than later, so when his feisty neighbor offers her PT skills to him, he will do anything to heal faster. This includes trying to be professional, and resist the undeniable attraction between them. Rehabbing an NHL player will be great for Stevie’s career, but trying to ignore the chemistry that sizzles every time she puts her hands on him is about to drive her crazy. He’s a gorgeous man, and it’s hard to pretend she doesn’t want him desperately. As they get more attached, and their connection grows, they have trouble fighting their feelings. -I've spent more than a month thinking about all the things I want to do to you. I plan on dragging it out for hours.-"My whole world is better with you in it, Stevie." A Favor For A Favor (All In Book 2) by Helena Hunting is a fantastic enemies to lovers sports romance. I enjoyed her temperament and her choices, and I loved her as an individual.Bishop is a bit surly, which is understandable based on his current athletic and life changes. I fell in love with him and he fell in love with her. Some couples just have it on the page, and Stevie and Bishop do. From the banter to the sexual tension, I was enthralled by the evolution of their relationship. It was a fantastic and entertaining romance that I couldn’t put down. Helena Hunting has a knack for taking unique and interesting characters and giving them depth, real 3d layers to who they are. Their flaws are relatable, the characters are lovable, and she gives a romance that is applicable to all people. That is why she is a favorite of mine. ARC REVIEW

LOL!Stevie and Bishop kind of hate each other on sight. But in Bishop's case, it could be excused, he thought she was a puck bunny trying to break into Rook's apartment!Their 'courtship' is so hilariously adorable for the reader. I just loved watching them fight and flirt and argue!Amazing Rom-Com!Of course we have some not-so-funny problems too - like brother Nolan's disease and Shippy's injury and Stevie's idiot ex and how Stevie's brother kinda hates Bishop.I felt that Stevie's behavior regarding the whole having-a-famous-brother/boyfriend thing is a bit exaggerated and silly and immature. Ok - it made her highschool time horrible, but still, she's a grown up now and I think she's just too weird about that whole thing. That bothered me a bit, especially toward the end - but at least we don't have this extreme ridiculous over the top misunderstanding or fight or whatever other books love to have! ☺I still really loved reading it.Also - Pucked Violet is in it a few short times - in all her unfiltered glory! LOL!☺A FAVOR FOR A FAVOR was such an adorable + hilarious Hockey Romance!!! I loved it!! Run to your nearest amazon for your own Shippy - he'll be sold out in no time - and this one is MINE! 💜 💜

After an incident with an ex Stevie is left with no where to stay and no one to go to except her brother who just so happens to have a penthouse empty but once see gets there she meets the neighbour, the neighbour who isn’t too friendly. As things get off on the wrong foot Stevie stands her ground and gives him as much as he gives her. She’s badass and won’t take shit from anyone especially not him. Bishop is an NHL player, he’s big and intimating and a huge asshole. After getting a hit in hockey he’s out with an injury and help comes in form of an unexpected woman. He’s cranky and irritated almost always but he’s damn hot whilst being that way. I love how he is on the outside and is completely different on the inside. There’s more to this man than meets the eye and it’s fun getting to see it. The back and forth between these two is absolutely brilliant, I absolutely love banter between characters and these two hit it on the head. I loved every moment we get between them. Their funny moments, the sensitive moments, just everything. They’re so different in many ways but similar in others, they compliment each other well and they’re just perfect. They were both struggling with real issues throughout this book and although it’s sad to read I love that Helena included them.I also adore that their relationship was gradual, slow and steady throughout the book, there was no rush for them to bed each other and the build up was just spot on.RJ makes quite a few appearances in this book and I love it. He’s protective and cares so much for Stevie like a big brother should. He’s made some mistakes but we see him make up for them. Also I just want to add in Kingston, I truly hope we get a story from this man because he intrigued me so much. He’s kind of reminds me of Darren (Pucked Over) he keeps himself to himself and honestly, that makes me want to hear his story more. Helena truly did an incredible job of bringing Stevie and Bishop’s story to life. This is actually my favourite from this series so far even though I loved RJ and Lainey’s book so much. A Favor for A Favor is a sports romance filled with fun moments and sad times. It’s a gripping romance that’ll leave you needing more and it’s without a doubt one of the greatest books of 2019/2020

The pace of the story is good and makes it easy to keep up. It is also a story that will keep your attention. In my opinion, it is better than book one. Also, I am interested in reading more about some of the side characters especially Kingston. I hope he gets his book. I loved how their relationship progressed from hate at first sight to friendship to falling in love. This book is very funny. With some important subjects in it as well. I especially apricated that we see diabetes representation. Something that is very important and rarely saw in novels I have read so far. Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for the copy of the book in exchange for my honest opinion.

I absolutely adore the PUCKED series by Helena Hunting and these spin-off books are seriously giving me life. A FAVOR FOR A FAVOR is Bishop and Stevie story and it is FREAKING HILARIOUS. In all honesty, I just don't think I like RJ from the first book and that was cemented with this book, too. He's a pretty shitty brother to Stevie and there was no reason for him to be such a dick to Bishop, especially considering how sweet Shippy actually. Ugh. We love a patient, kind-hearted man-lump who pines over a pretty girl.I loveeeeeed these characters together! They meshed so well and their banter was so entertaining. Even when they were in the midst of heated passion, they still made time to bicker with each other. It was really fun. The slow burn was kinds grueling, I just wanted them to KISS, goddamnit. It was worth the wait because the smut was dang sexy. A 7/10. WOoo! I just wished we got more. It wasn't enough. I liked that this relationship had to be built up by friendship first. It made it all the more sweeter when they finally got together.Sigh. I just love everything to do with hockey and I love the fact that this is a series now. I can't wait for the rest.

He is a member of Seattle’s NHL expansion team, of which Stevie's brother RJ is the new captain of. He assumes she is RJ's mistress and treats her not so nice, and he doesn't like RJ in the first place, so he is being extra about it. I really enjoyed their first meeting, because it also showed that Stevie isn't a woman you can treat like that and get away with it. There was definitely a strong attraction between them, but Bishop's attitude hinders from anything happening. After an injury Stevie offers to help him with rehabilitation and he accepts because he wants to get on the ice as soon as possible. I enjoyed seeing both of them lower their guards and get the know each other. The pacing of their friendship/relationship was slow and steady, and I really liked that. Besides the growth in their relationship, I also liked seeing their personal development throughout the book. Both are dealing with some stuff and I was happy that those things were highlighted as well. I especially enjoyed the sibling love between Stevie and RJ, and Bishop and his brother Nolan. The side characters were great as well, and I am especially intrigued by Bishop's friend and teammate Kingston. I want to know more about him, and I really hope he will get his own book. A Favor for a Favor is a light and fun contemporary romance. The banter between Bishop and Stevie was great, and I think they make a great couple. I can't wait to read more books in this series.

I think I might have to give up on this series. I thought that A Lie for a Lie was just okay, but this was just boring. With the synopsis giving up a super funny meet cute, I seriously thought I would enjoy this. I never cared for either one of our main characters. They felt so cookie cutter and had nothing alluring about them. My two biggest issues were RJ from book one and how the blame was shifted to Bishop. While I didn’t love RJ from A Lie for a Lie, I thought he was okay. In this book, I I think I might have to give up on this series. In this book, I REALLY didn’t like him, He came off so pretentious and thought everything was about him. I was over him and his self absorbed self. When things came to light, everything was blamed on Bishop as if he did everything himself. I didn’t like or agree with that. It takes two to tango but everyone was like “poor Stevie”. Y’all, I can’t. Overall, this felt like it took forever for me to get through and I can’t recommend it. I doubt I’ll even remember this book for the plot in about two weeks. I fell in love all over again with Helena Hunting after reading the first in the series and the second installment is just as delicious. Get ready for this slow burn sports romance because it's a wonderful experience you don't want to miss!A Favor for A Favor is the second book in Helena's All In series and it follows the story of Stevie Bowman and Bishop Winslow. Stevie is RJ's sister and she is not at her best moment. Her boyfriend just cheated on her and her new neighbor is a grumpy man who is not much a fan of clothes (besides ridiculous underwear). Both make assumptions about each other and that starts the animosity between them. Bishop gets injured while playing and now he needs Stevie to help him with his recovery. That’s the start of their slow burn sexual tension and angsty love story. From across the hall his body is a lot to handle visually, but this close, good God, this man is stacked. Muscles layer over muscles, everything tight and defined. He’s just... a lot. And that is what makes A Favor for A Favor such a beautiful story: the slow burn and the emotions together with Helena's humor and these amazing characters. The development of Stevie and Bishop's relationship from hate to friendship to love was so well done. All the moments and chemistry between these two are to die for and the whole story keeps you so entertained and hooked to it that I just could not stop reading! Bishop is a lot of things: sarcastic, assholey, determined, hotheaded, and a mammoth of a man. But his kiss is all the other parts of him I’ve gotten glimpses of over the past several weeks: sweet, gentle, soft. At first, anyway. Of course, leaving aside how I also loved to catch up with this whole crew of awesome hilarious people, the best thing about this book is the couple. I love how Stevie and Bishop grow together and peel the layers of their personalities with each other. And when that slow burn finally explodes, OMG! So hawt and just so intense! There is also a bit of drama that kept me at the edge of my seat towards the end but I completely understand what and why it happens and it makes the happy ending so much sweeter. “My whole world is better with you in it, Stevie.”“Mine too.” Therefore, my rating for A Favor for A Favor is 4.5 STARS because it’s the perfect addition to the All In series. A fantastic enemies to lovers romance, with a couple with burning chemistry, funny moments, great secondary characters and all the feels! Helena Hunting keeps surprising me and I am so glad I decided to read this series. Now I literally cannot wait for the third book, it sounds forbidden and I am all over it already!CHECK OUT MY BLOG HERE:

Stevie moves to Seattle for a new job as a sports physiotherapist, but when she decides to surprise her boyfriend Joey (on her birthday no less) she finds him playing away from home. But when Bishop strains his groin Stevie has the greatest solution, she'll help rehab Bishop in return for a recommendation from a hockey player that isn't her brother. There's plenty of snarky attitude from Bishop and Stevie, lots of swearing and lots of references to Bishop's peen - after all the man does wander around his apartment dressed only in his underpants - but then that's exactly what I expect from a steamy hockey romance. If you like a bit of attitude, over-protective big brothers, underpants with funny sayings, and scorching hot hockey players I'm betting you'll love this fun and flirty romance - it brings the heat to the ice!I received a free copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in return for an honest review.Bumped for release and edited for typos.

Finding out she's his team captain's sister makes him regret their first meeting, but not enough to decline her offer, let her help with his PT and give her a glowing review, allowing her to move up without her brother's help. Of course, it also gives him a chance to appreciate her assets and show off his unique underwear collection. All Bishop has to do is keep his hands to himself.I was presented an opportunity to read A Favor for a Favor as a standalone in the All In series and, well, who can say no to a romance from Helena Hunting? I did not read the previous novel, but I can say this one truly is a standalone and I don't feel like I missed a thing. A Favor for a Favor is Stevie and Bishop's story, there's nothing meet-cute about it. These two are sarcasm, wit, and electrifying chemistry wrapped into a beautiful, slow burn package. In her classic, comedic way, Helena Hunting gives readers an enemies-to-lovers romance that finds a favor turning into a friendship that taunts them both with more. Stevie is headstrong, fairly independent, and has a whole lot of sass. Bishop is handsome, certainly cocky, and has a bigger heart than a teddy bear. I loved Stevie and Bishop, both as individuals, and as potential partners. They're both hilarious, so full of attitude, and their dialogue is fantastic. You know the chemistry is there, but the push and pull between them as they hate on one another is just too enjoyable. I loved how their story played out, it felt natural and so fitting, especially for their roles in the greater All In series.A Favor for a Favor was such a fantastic, laugh-out-loud read. I stayed up all night reading, something I haven't done in a while, and fell for Bishop and Stevie just as much as they fell for one another. Helena Hunting absolutely nailed it with this one.ARC provided.

So thrilled that I was incredibly wrong. After devouring A Lie for A Lie, I was excited to jump into her upcoming release. A Favor for A Favor had everything I relish while reading one of this author's tales - A cast of colorful and looney characters; A broody-hot and lovable hero; A spirited and sassy heroine; Comical banter that had me chuckling as well as a captivating story-line brimming with sexual tension and off the charts slow-burning chemistry. From this couple's awkward beginnings to witnessing them fall hopelessly in love, I've enjoyed every moment of Bishop and Stevie's journey. Meeting RJ (Rookie) Bowman's little sister in the first installment, I immediately liked her spunky character. A recent graduate who's down on her luck, Stevie is determined to establish a career in the sports field as a physical therapist without the help of her famous brother. A strong-willed, intelligent, quirky, and witty tough gal who possessed a gentle and vulnerable side, she embodied everything I admire in a strong heroine. And when challenged to a face-off with her beyond vexing and contentious new neighbor Bishop, the plucky Stevie is not easily intimidated to go toe-to-toe with him. I love how she's fearless and unafraid to combat her belligerent (but funny) adversary. The banter between these two was hysterical. When Bishop suffers from an on-ice injury and in desperate need to speed up his recovery, Stevie is there to turn his misfortune into an opportunity to put her therapy skills to work. It's only a matter of time that these two enemies foster a friendship bursting with heaps of sexual tension, which eventually leads to something more. Bishop "Ship" Winslow was a hunk of a hockey player that I totally fell for, but I have to admit, it wasn't easy. First impressions of Ship were not favorable as he was judgy, offensive, abrasive and hot-headed. However, it didn't take me long to love him and see all the sweetness hidden beneath the brawn. A guy with loads of responsibilities and worries, Ship's priorities were his career as well as taking good care of his brother Nolan. Deep down, he was a big-hearted guy and once the animosity towards Stevie waned, it was a treat to see the loving, passionate, and gentle side of this hero. Together, they made for an adorable couple. Another fun and light-hearted romantic comedy from Hunting that I thoroughly enjoyed, this was a fantastic read. Flirty, sexy and amusing, A Favor for A Favor quickly became another favorite for me. I loved seeing some old friends from the Pucked series - now older and more mature - as well as getting to know some new and exciting characters. And Shippy's boxer shorts... absolutely ridiculous and hilarious. I can't wait to get my hands on the next book in the series.  I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy courtesy of the publisher

„Everyone has a demon or two, Stevie. You just gotta learn how to live with them and find other people who think all your good parts outweigh the bad.” I have no idea how Helena Hunting does it, but every single one of her books brings me such indescribable joy that it’s able to put a smile on my face even on the worst day. Her typical sense of humor makes me crack up, her sarcastic inserts make me snort, and the ever-present sexual tension makes me fan myself constantly. A Favor for a Favor is another epic book that will make you laugh, swoon and burn from all the sexiness!I adore Stevie, her need for independence and doing her best to make a name for herself. She’s confident, feisty, sassy and sharp-tongued. She gives as much as she gets and doesn’t let anyone belittle her. I had many moments when I wanted to high-five her and buy her a drink. Bishop appeared at the beginning as this grumpy, broody and rude jerk, but with every turned page we get to learn that he’s actually very sweet and loyal. From growling grizzly he has shifted into care-bear. He’s the type of hero you fall in love with hard. Their first encounter was a complete distarter. Wrong assumptions mixed with instant attraction resulted in hilarious insults and constant banter between Bishop and Stevie. But then it changed into frienship combined with mutual professional help. Their relantionship development was so entertaining, funny and sweet! I couldn’t get enough of these two! The chemistry was completely off the charts and their sexy times were indescribably HOT!Helena once again claimed her title as a rom-com royalty. Her witty and brilliant writing style shines bright in A Favor for a Favor and brings incredible pleasure from reading it. This slow burn, enemies to lovers romance is a must read. It's funny, steamy and totally addicting. I couldn’t put it down!*ARC received in exchange for an honest review via NetGalley.

I loved this book so much! I was extremely lucky to have the chance to both read and listen to the audiobook of A Favor for a Favor. This enemies to friends to lovers romance hooked me right in and was just the kind of slow burn romance I was looking for. It's filled with all of Helena Hunting's trademark wit and humor and there were so many times I burst out laughing while reading and listening to this one. This is book 2 in the series, but it can be read as a standalone. Characters from the I loved this book so much! This is book 2 in the series, but it can be read as a standalone. Characters from the previous book do appear though, and that is where we originally meet the heroine, Stevie, so I do recommend reading A Lie for a Lie for maximum enjoyment.Bishop is my favorite type of hero - loyal, caring, hilarious, supportive, truly an all around good guy wrapped in a grumpy, ornery, alpha package. I loved that he didn't have some crazy history of puck bunnies and that his main concern was always for his family. The back and forth with Stevie was the best and their innuendo and banter only ramped up the anticipation. What I appreciated most though, was that Bishop listened. I really felt for Stevie and understood why she made the decisions that she did to try to escape from the shadows. Sure it was frustrating at times and I thought she was a little dense to Bishop's actions, but at the same time I can see how confusing it all could be given her history and the start of their friendship. I was disappointed to see Rook act the way he did after falling for him in book 1, but as a younger sister myself, I can see that his heart was in the right place. I enjoyed seeing Alex and Violet from the Pucked series again, but it's Kingston who has definitely piqued my interest (who wouldn't love a well mannered gentleman who drinks milk at the bar!?) I really wouldn't be upset at all if he ends up getting his own book. ;) The casting of Erin Mallon and Jacob Morgan was fantastic. Both can perform male and female characters so well and they also deliver on all the feels. Their comedic timing is perfect for the lighter moments, but they also can convey so much emotion with the inflections of their voices. This is an amazing narrating duo and I definitely recommend enjoying this one on audio if you have the chance.Audiobook ReviewOverall 5 starsPerformance 5 starsStory 5 stars*I voluntarily read and listened to an advance review copy of this book*

A Favor for a Favor is a captivating read with a hero who is practically a nudist with very interesting underwear and a sarcastic heroine who does not back down. This book was just what I needed. It had everything I wanted and more... Unputadownable!Bishop Winslow, hockey player, makes a huge mistake by mistaking the woman who is currently residing in the apartment opposite his as his captain's mistress. Because the first meeting being disastrous, a battle seems to be initiated between them. They find pleasure in trying to rile up one another until Bishop sustains an injury and his neighbor take pity on him. It's then that he finds out that his neighbor is not his captain's mistress but in fact his sister and he read the situation all wrong. But like he always does, he get his foot in his mouth. Stevie who is a qualified physiotherapist offers her assistance to Bishop until he can get back on the ice and in return she will get to work with a NHL player. Their therapy sessions end up being torture for the both of them because the air seems to always be charge with sexual tension and their lack of clothing does not help matters. They start spending every available minute together which Stevie's brother does not appreciate, animosity in the air, and makes his stance on the two of them known.I love the fact that Bishop always showed his jerkish behavior but around Stevie he was different. e was still a jerk but was an adorable jerk towards her. They opened up towards each other and ended up forming a beautiful and hilarious friendship. Stevie was full of sarcastic remarks and her banter with Bishop made my day. I couldn't keep the smile off my face. I loved the slow build of their relationship. They found each other insanely attractive but they did not act on it for multiple reasons. This book was brimming with sexual tension and I loved it! Bishop is a special kind of character that was incredibly endearing. This book is definitely going to be one of my favorites of 2020.
