Charming. Romantic. Christmassy and winsome and touching, to boot. I loved returning to Hearts Bend, TN, in Rachel Hauck's The Christmas Wedding Dress! JoJo tugged on my heart from the opening pages and Buck had me swooning in full force. And the mystery of the wedding dress was as enchanting as ever. Such a perfect holiday read!

'Heaven is breaking into our world.'I never miss a Rachel Hauck book. Never. When I open a new book by her, I feel like I've drifted into the sublime world of peace, great spiritual connections and characters that just take up residence in my heart. Buck Mathews has always loved JoJo as well, but hasn't really realized it. But there is a big obstacle standing in their way. Can they find a way around it? God has some surprises for this precious couple. Hauck brings it once again with her trademark touch of the Divine in each book she writes. It's so wonderful to see this in her books. It is incredibly precious to me. It's amazing to see how she lets God work in her books and the lives on her characters. I read this one in a few hours. Loved every moment. I highly recommend this novella. *My thanks to the author for a preview copy of this book. The opinions stated here are entirely my own.

ReviewThis is the novella that follows the Wedding Collection series (Christian Fiction Romance series). I finished reading that series in 2016 and I loved returning to this small town. I enjoyed getting to revisit this magical dress and some of the characters we got to know from The Wedding Shop. I can’t say too much without spoiling it, but if you’ve read the rest of the books you won’t want to miss this Christmas addition! Such a sweet, uplifting tale perfect for the holiday season. JoJo has real reasons for feeling apprehensive about moving forward with life and love. I loved The Wedding Dress, it made me so hopeful and filled with joy, and this holiday tale took me back into the story and brought back the same feelings again. Readers will be touched by JoJo and her story. My only complaint is that the book isn't long enough, but I knew how long it was when I started, so I will just have to wait a little longer for Hauck's next full-length novel. Until then, this is a lovely way to spend a few hours.I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book, all opinions are my own.

A cozy feel good novella. The story was very sweet and dealt with some emotional things at times, and the moments between JoJo and Buck were tender and heartwarming. The only thing is that the problem that prevented her from wanting to be with him was solved in a hurried way for me, but it was a good and cute book.

This Christmas novella is such a sweet addition to Rachel Hauck's Wedding Collection. I enjoyed the characters, especially the chemistry between the hero and heroine. It was fun to "visit" the close-knit community of Hearts Bend again, especially during the Christmas season. What is holding JoJo back from letting go and falling in love?Hauck is a master at character development, and this novella is no exception. I have yet to read a book of hers that I haven't thouroughly enjoyed and hope that this story continues in the future. That wedding dress is spectacular, and the idea that a dress could almost act as a character...yes, please! So, folks, don't count this novella out--you get the same quality writing and characters to fall in love with as usual! I absolutely loved the little touches that bring the reader to understand that there is no fear in love. (1 John 4:18) Hauck is not afraid to deal with tough topics and difficult issues of real life, and for that I am grateful. To end up with a satisfying ending that also doesn't hide the fact that there will always be challenges in this life is one of the reasons I love Rachel's work. ( And the purple shirt guy will be familiar to readers once they understand how he works. ;) )I was an early reader, thanks to BookFunnel and the publisher. All opinions are my own.

Though I have not read any of the previous books in the series, I was able to enjoy this one. In fact, I found it a bit giddy-making.The heroine, JoJo, is hiding out in her small hometown of Hearts Bend, Tennessee. Big city life left her feeling ashamed and out of sorts after a sexual assault. She hasn't really been able to trust many men yet (outside her family) but when her high school crush who is now a country super-star, Buck Matthews, returns to town...will this finally be their chance to get it right? This one does feature the supernaturally magical WEDDING DRESS that somehow manages to fit every single person who tries it on regardless of their height or size. The dress, I'm thinking, is supposed to represent Christ's righteousness which cloaks his bride, the church. This one packs a LOT of charm and tenderness. It would make a super lovely holiday film. I think it would translate to film well. I would recommend it to anyone--Christian or not--who enjoys watching romantic Christmas movies.

How could anyone not enthuse over this very special story? Even me, Scrooge-ish as I am, fell in love with the town of Hearts Bend, its residents, and the legend (facts) of a significantly, supremely, special wedding gown designed and sewn in 1912, in Birmingham, AL, by a black seamstress [read between the lines]: a gown which has endured 108 years and multiple brides, each with her own special story. This treasured story is a Novella in Rachel Hauck's THE WEDDING COLLECTION (3.5).

I loved them as a couple and rooted for them from the beginning of the story. Jo did irritate me a tad towards the end of the story with her unwillingness to compromise, but in the end, she came around! I also really enjoyed the mystery and intrigue of the Wedding Dress and how it added to the storySo, if you’re in the mood for a great Christmas novella, I’d say try this one out!I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

“Everything she needed, everyone she loved, was right here in Hearts Bend. And The Wedding Shop was her favorite place in town. Especially at Christmas.”I love Hearts Bend, and returning to it in this Christmassy, romantic and whimsical story was just what this book reader needed.Rachel Hauck pens a story that is perfect for the Christmas season, really any season. Ms. Hauck seamlessly tied together the previous books into this one in setting, characters and continuity. Through flawed “Everything she needed, everyone she loved, was right here in Hearts Bend. Ms. Hauck seamlessly tied together the previous books into this one in setting, characters and continuity. Through flawed characters, Ms. Hauck shows God's love for us and our need for Him. Whether we've allowed fear to weigh us down, as JoJo has or for Buck find out what is really important in life. I've loved Rachel Hauck's books since I read Diva NasVegas now Nashville Sweetheart back in 2007. What keeps me waiting on pins and needles for a new release by Rachel Hauck is her heart and love for God that she weaves into every book she pens. I highly recommend this book!!Disclaimer: I received a copy of the book by the publisher. I was not required to write a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
