This book felt a little boring. I don't know if it's because I have read 4 books in this series back to back but this one one felt slow and anticlimactic. And that's crazy because she was accused of murder. That's kind of a big deal and they were all acting like it wasn't. It was just a weird situation and I don't think the characters reacted like they should have. The last book doesn't come out until October... I should have waited to pick this series up until it was finished because I will probably never pick up the last book. I will honestly probably forget all about this series by time October 23 comes around.Thats not to say that I haven't enjoyed this series, because I really have. It was kind of a surprise to me but I really enjoyed them. It's been a long time since I have read physical copies of books so quickly. So that right there says something because I could not put them done. I do recommend. I just read so much that I forget things.

It's kinda cool that almost every fearmancer at the academy is scared of Rory now. I'm so ready for the older barons to get what's coming to them. Oh and that blacksuit, Lillian, that was Rory's mothers best friend, she needs to die! The relationship between Rory, Connor, and Jude get really steamy and the "L" word gets said. Things with Declan get alot more interesting. What's going on with Malcolm and Rory, well it's complicated. The ending is a cliffhanger, but I don't believe it's real, it's a trap! •••••• I highly recommend this book/series! ••••••~~ I have Kindle Unlimited, and I used that service to read this book. ~~

I am obsessed. This series is one of my favorites right now. I love the characters, that they are flawed but still fabulous. That they overcome. Halfway through the planned books in the series I have no idea what is coming next. But I cannot wait to find out.

I was on the edge of my seat wonder what will happen to Rory, how far those plotting against her were willing to go and if her guys would stick by her this time. I swooned at the romance, was furious by the treachery and was shocked by the plot twists. After the events in previous books, Rory finds herself in serious trouble that she might not be able to get out of, at least she has her fellow scions. After Rory has been charged with a horrible crime she and the guys are trying to put together a strategy that not only saves Rory but tries to pinpoint the specific members of the group that's out to get her. However, Rory's problems don't end with wondering who she can trust but it's also dealing with her fellow schoolmates who are starting to change their attitude about the naries (non-magical) and not for the better. Rory is trying to not only prove that she didn't commit the crime she is accused of but she is trying to prove to her schoolmates that she isn't the monster that they think she is.The plot was so good, I mean all the plots have been good but Horrid Charms managed to have me on edge but also manage to keep me calm all at once. I was intrigued by the mystery surrounding how the nefarious characters were framing Rory and also how she was going to get out of the situation. The story was very enjoyable especially when it came to the steamy romance, Rory and the guys have reached a turning point and I enjoy them together so much. They help Rory and Rory support the guys and brings out their best sides. Jude is bae, that is right while I really do love the other guys and how they support Rory is amazing but it was Jude who stole my heart in this one.Horrid Charms was a quick read that I thoroughly adored especially a certain scene in a scion lounge. While I did figure out the cliffhanger plot twist I still enjoyed the story and how the story arc got resolved. I have no idea how many books are in the Royals of Villain Academy there are but I am willing to go along for the ride.

Her fellow scions are along side her and offering assistance with anything she requires, be it gathering information, brainstorming or bestowing a kiss or more. We see more of the corruption in both the joymancer and fearmancer worlds, proving that both are horribly flawed. But... which side is the lesser of two evils? Rory will have to sort that out as she continues to navigate her new world. I love the multiple points of view as reading the inner thoughts of Rory's guys keeps you glued to these pages and giving a few awes along the way. There were so many tender moments that you can't help but want to be in Rory's shoes during those scenes! I have to gush over the fact that this is not soley a passion driven story, there is story depth, memorable characters and a plot that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Not all RH series can boast of those qualities!! Bravo to Ms. Chase who sets the bar exceptionally high!!! 💗💗💗💗

Rory has been framed for murder and must figure out a way to prove her innocence. It is clear the current barony is behind the murder and charges, but Rory has a hard time figuring out who else might be in league with them. I like how it seems that Rory has finally figured out that there are good and bad people in every society within her world, whether it be the Naries, the Fearmancers or even the Joymancers. I'm interested to see if she abandons her original plan to the Joymancers infiltrate the school. It seems like that is where she is headed, but she's stubbornly clung to the idea that Joymancers must be better people just because her adopted parents were good people. Now that all the Scions are starting to pay close attention to her values, it should be interesting to see which direction she leads them. It looks like the next book in the series comes out later next month. I've got it on my TBR.

I adore Eva Chase, and it’s series like her Royals of Villain Academy books that shows why. Superbly written and totally fun. What more could one ask for? Oh yes, great plots, a neat overarching story line, fantastic world-building and wonderfully crafted characters. I suppose having all of those too definitely helps. So now we are up to book 4: Horrid Charms. Rory is back and continues as the perfect example of the sort of kick-a** gal I love the most. We’ve got steam as our slow-burn enemies-to-lovers reverse harem romance heats up even more. We’ve got action galore as Rory works to clear her name of a false murder accusation. We’ve got intrigue, villainy, thrills, magic and delights. Frankly, we’ve got pretty much everything we could want and it’s all superb. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises. The book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book in this series.

Another great book in this series. When we last saw Rory she was being drug off by the blacksuits, blamed for Imogen's horrible death. Fortunately for her, Declan, Connar, and Jude are on the job. Declan soon finds the legal information he needs to get her released until her trial and the others are on the search for anything to help her prove her innocence, but it isn't going to be easy. To Rory's surprise, Malcolm seems to have changed his tune and is trying to redeem himself in her eyes. She Another great book in this series. She is not sure she either believes this about-face or trusts him to remain on her side, but she is willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. As her day in court grows closer she despairs of convincing the judge that she was set up. She makes one last attempt to convince a reluctant witness to testify for her, but she isn't holding her breath...I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.

Just when you hope she is over the worst another blow appears to set her back again. This is an epic story which is also a slow burn reverse harem, but as we get further into the series the players (and battle lines) are becoming more set and understood. Well written and very enjoyable, it helps to have read the earlier books in the series in order to understand what is happening. Contains some sex. Definitely recommended.

Rory really cannot seem to get a break. Everyone in power seems to after her again. Her fellow scions from school are more on her side and helping her beat the murder charge from the last book. This one has more nail biting then full on action compared to the others as they all try to figure out how to save Rory. Liked all the interactions as Rory gets closer to "her" guys. It was just a fun read that kept me reading in one siting to see how it would end and what would end up going wrong as some Rory really cannot seem to get a break. Held my breath hoping all the boys are really on her side and waiting to see what twist would show up.

Absolutely Fantastic! I adore this series! Rory is so strong, and such a nice person, and I love that about her. I love the way she’s inspiring her guys to be better people, and protecting the naries, all while trying to prove her innocence and fight the evil Scions. Villain Academy 4Rory is back, but she's been imprisoned for a crime she didn't commit. This book was great, the only part that I am wondering about is why the victims family weren't involved at all, even in the courtroom. The anxiety of the elder scions hatred and continued attacks has me rooting for Rory even more. Malcolm is redeeming himself, his father I'd love to see his son kick his rear both magically and physically .

I want more! Rory & the scions have come so far and I feel like this book was truly the turning point for all of them in some way or another. There is a mystery to solve and I feel like they can finally all work together toward their goals. Things have never been more dangerous or tense but I have zero doubts this group can handle it all while navigating some very tricky feelings lol I can’t wait for book 5!
