Kozart
Kozart Savage is the world’s biggest rock star. At twenty-five, he’s got it all. Money. Fame. And the adoration of fans everywhere. He thought that was enough to make him forget his past. Enough to transform his distrusting heart. Turns out that’s not how it works... Then he meets a bridesmaid hiding out in a hotel bar. Probably the only girl on the planet who doesn’t know who he is. But she seems to be the one girl who can give him something no one else can. Aubrey Prescott just discovered her boyfriend cheating—at her sister’s wedding. Trying to escape humiliation, she seeks refuge in a hotel bar. While trying to figure out how to pick up the pieces of what was supposed to be an amazing senior year in college, a handsome stranger interrupts her wallowing. A stranger who quickly makes her forget why she’s there. One who, after an unforgettable night, disappears without a second glance. But walking away doesn’t always mean letting someone go.

Nathan’s latest title. Kozart Savage is a bona fide rock star. Looking from the outside, he has everything. Unfortunately all the fame and fortune that comes is not enough to fill the gaps in his soul. Until he finds the only woman in the world who doesn’t know him but makes his complete. After finding her boyfriend infraganti, at her sister’s wedding, with one of the bride’s maids, Aubrey Prescot fled to the hotel’s bar to drown her sorrows, until a gorgeous stranger crashes her pity party of one. He not only makes her laugh and feel beautiful, he helps her save face at the wedding, and spends a wonderful night with her. He left without a goodbye, until a text message from an unknown caller appears on Aubrey’s cellphone. J. Nathan knows how to weave a hooking yarn and her story of a rock star falling for the kind and caring Aubrey is executed flawlessly. I loved this story so, so hard! I loved its rhythm and flow, and the way Kozart didn’t want to reveal his identity to Aubrey because he felt comfortable with the girl who saw the real man. Kozart and Aubrey together were wonderful, their banter in person or texts was spot on. I loved how sweet and thoughtful Kozart was with her. I admired Aubrey’s strength and found her sarcasm charming. I read this story in one sitting loving every minute of it. I also enjoyed reading about Aubrey’s friends and family. I given the chance, I can’t diced if I’d want to read about her friends first or about Kozart’s bandmates. Kozart is a standalone rocker romance by J. Nathan. It is a perfect rocker romance told from the both point of view, and has a delicious happy ending. No cliffhanger. ARC received for reviewA great friends to lovers story. Kozart had a sh!t childhood and Aubrey had a sh!t night. As their friendship develops so does their love. Of course, there has to be rock star drama thrown in, but love conquers all in the end. I wonder if the author has any plans for the rest of the group or for her friends to get HEAs.

Well, I feel like this hit every rockstar fantasy that I could think of. Grand gestures, a realization that you're the one, being swept up in the whirlwind of a high profile romance. I loved it all!! I am still smiling while I am writing my review. What a great book!I love the way J Nathan pulled me in with this one. The synopsis obviously had me excited for how the book was going to go, but knowing how she has written before, I wondered how she was going to get the story across with the grit it needed. A rockstar and a college student? I mean, c'mon. If you think about it, that would be a very difficult thing. Studying, tests, world tours, traveling, love, drama....and other women. Mmm mmm. Newp. That was going to get hairy pretty quickly - AND I WAS HERE FOR IT!! (I'm still smiling)While the story was getting set up, the meeting between Kozart and Aubrey was nothing short of smile inducing and giggle producing. I absolutely adored their meeting and their banter was spot on!!! It was completely pivotal to the entire storyline - but also what carried it throughout, and that made me sigh. Their dynamic worked so well for me. I didn't question much, and if I tried to - there was a viable explanation immediately following. I just loved the flow of the book, the story, the love...ALL of it!! It made my day reading this one. (and....still smiling)Kozart was not your typical looking rocker to me, so the cover threw me for a loop when I saw it, but as I read his story and his personality came out, it was so fitting for him. For him . I was absolutely smitten with Kozart. I liked his vulnerability. I liked the way he was truly the "Rock God", but I enjoyed the more intimate side of him that came out when his world got rocked by Aubrey - pun intended. I think the best part, for me, was that sense of normalcy only Aubrey could provide. She was just a little more and her strength and understanding made me love her. But, along with that comes the worst part, and that was realized early on. The added scrutiny you would get being in the public's eye - talk about intense!! To be in their position? What a conundrum - not only was he in, but she was too. Holy cow. J Nathan gave me a story that had me thinking and smiling 95% of the time. Clearly there is some drama to work through, but that was easily followed and understood. Even though I may not have liked it, it was a nice, due course that needed to play out in the story and it worked perfectly well. (and I'm still smiling...see a pattern?)I'm pretty sure J Nathan is the sweet to my bitter. I like the angsty, heavy hitting books (she writes the perfect sweetness with a hold on your heart). I like the triangles (she hates) and love the alphas (she loves). I am pretty sure we are soul sisters (stalker? same thing) because #margaritas. This was my favorite book by her and cannot wait to read more. I am sincerely hoping she gives the band members each a story as well because I like what she's done with Kozart's story, but there is more to be told."Failure's not an option."~BEEPURCHASE LINKS:AA LINK: https://amzn.to/2JFuxAdiBooks: https://apple.co/30RMJODKobo: https://bit.ly/2JJAAGnB&N: https://bit.ly/2JJBHFVPaperback: https://amzn.to/2Jy7Hu6ENTER HERE TO WIN AN ECOPY: http://bit.ly/2xIYRnW

3.5 stars. I really enjoyed Kozart and Aubrey's story. It was such a good mix of humor and heartache. Especially Kozart and his past. His character progression was great. I just had a problem with the plot point that caused the angst. It seemed pretty unrealistic and weak to me. Music fans don't really care if the musicians are in a relationship. I'm just glad he finally came to his senses and realized he is allowed to live his own life.

Very good new adult rockstar romanceI completely enjoyed this romance between jaded rockstar Kozart “Z” Savage and college student Aubrey who meet in the bar at a hotel after Kozart starts getting sick of the rock ‘n’ roll party, sex with groupie lifestyle and Aubrey finds her boyfriend cheating on her at her sisters wedding with another bridesmaid.Aubrey is a bit drunk and is a Country music fan so she has no idea who she is talking to, and Kozart likes that, he also feels like standing up for Very good new adult rockstar romanceI completely enjoyed this romance between jaded rockstar Kozart “Z” Savage and college student Aubrey who meet in the bar at a hotel after Kozart starts getting sick of the rock ‘n’ roll party, sex with groupie lifestyle and Aubrey finds her boyfriend cheating on her at her sisters wedding with another bridesmaid.Aubrey is a bit drunk and is a Country music fan so she has no idea who she is talking to, and Kozart likes that, he also feels like standing up for her so he takes her back to the wedding so she can show everyone she is not defeated. From there they start texting and learning more about each other. I like the fact that the relationship develops before they actually have sex. Also Kozart has some issues from his childhood in foster care and Aubrey helps with those. They deal with issues about him being famous and paparazzi and not wanting it to get out that they are dating as well as issues of him being on tour an possibly seeing other people. It is very well done and I ended up really liking both characters.

Kozart was a great take on the rockstar story. I liked that this was a bit different, a bit sweeter than many of the books you’ll find in this trope. Kozart, the man, isn’t your typical manwhore rock god, who thinks he’s God’s gift to women. Yes, he pretty much holds the world in the palm of his hand, but he needs more than the fame, fans, and fortune being in a band brings him. Enter Aubrey. Although their relationship may have started out unconventionally, I liked that they worked their way back to friendship and then to much more than friends.Of course you can’t have a book about a rockstar without at least a little drama, and while it was somewhat predictable (why didn’t you just trust him like he asked Aubrey?!?) I appreciated that it wasn’t drawn out. I really enjoyed Kozart and Aubrey. They were exactly who the other needed, even if a relationship was the last thing they were looking for.

I loved this book! I've read J. Nathan's For You series and really liked it, but this blows those out of the water! Kozart and Aubrey were amazing characters, well developed with great chemistry. The back and forth narration was done so well and my heart broke for both of them. Aubrey is such a strong female and her sarcasm was fun. Kozart is sexy and sweet and I totally fell for him. I highly recommend this book!

"Because he would break my heart. Maybe not purposely, but it was inevitable." As I've come to expect from this author, once I started reading putting the book down was no longer an option. She threw me right into the scene where Aubrey gets rescued by a rock star at her sister's wedding, without even realizing who he was. Even if he had told her, she still wouldn't have known who he was. I'm sure that's where the attraction started for him. How refreshing it must have been to not be groped by groupies but instead try to convince a beautiful girl that rock music is better than her beloved country songs.I must say, I was entertained from start to finish. The banter between Kozart and Aubrey was so fun. She didn't fall all over herself trying to please him, she threw sass, and he liked it. He felt like he could be himself with her, he didn't have to perform for her. But, once she learned the truth, would she still be interested? He was on a concert tour, and he couldn't stick around to see where things could go between them. So, best not to make any promises, right?I loved this story so hard. I'm smiling right now just telling you about it. I didn't want it to end. I don't know what the author has for us next, but I'm ready. The line forms here...

I was gifted a copy for an honest review.I love a rock star book and I really enjoyed this one. Once I started, I couldn't put it down. They do eventually get their HEA which is great as they are suited (much more than her douche of an ex!)

What an amazing book this was. Let me start by saying J Nathan is a new to me Author and I really loved my first book!!! I was really looking forward to reading it after I had the blurb. And what I found while reading was how real and raw both Kozart and Aubery were. Being a super star isn't all Rainbows and Unicorns and for Kozart things were starting to get old, that is until he meets Aubery. I. LOVED. that she dodn't know who he was. I cannot wait to see what others think

They meet in a hotel bar and she doesn't know who he is which he is intrigued by. She's a country music fan and doesn't listen to anything in his genre. So, when she acts as if she likes him, he can actually believe it's sincere and not because of who he is. For Kozart, this is something he can usually never really be sure of. They both have extreme trust issues for different reasons. Obviously, Aubrey has a hard time trusting because of the betrayal by her ex-boyfriend. Kozart grew up in foster care and things were never good. Then when he found success, he could never be sure if people liked him for who is truly is or the celebrity. Even though Kozart has some cocky, alpha male behaviors, he can also be super sweet and really shows that side to Aubrey at times. When he does, you just want to curl up and savor it. He can be very swoon-worthy. That said, he makes some foolish decisions as well. Unfortunately there are times when I found myself shaking my head in frustration. I realize it helps to give the storyline a little more pop if they go through some bumps in the road, but this one felt so preventable that I had a difficult time getting behind it. Regardless, I really enjoyed the book as a whole. As a country music fan myself, I loved the blending of country music into the storyline. It definitely enriched the experience of the book for me. Aubrey and Kozart's relationship is such a fun one to watch develop and they definitely have some chemistry! It was truly satisfying when Kozart and Aubrey find their way back to one another. They were a couple definitely deserving of their HEA.Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Aubrey is having the crappiest day ever and is solely focused on drowning her sorrows. I loved that Kozart’s presence pissed her off at the start. The banter was pretty good from the get-go. I loved the ‘i’ll add that to my dating profile’ gags they did throughout the book. It had a nice humour level. Nothing too quirky. I’ve read a lot of ‘weird, quirky heroines’ lately and it can feel a bit over-laboured, but this was good. There is low level drama which is quickly resolved. I hate it when the hero fucks up because I often can’t forgive them as quickly as the heroine. I was on a knife-edge of not being able to forgive the H but in the end I could see it was a tough call and it all worked out. Luckily Kozart had been so nice to her at the beginning that I cut him some slack. That first night, Aubrey basically makes a total fool out of herself yet Kozart is the perfect gentleman. You think the two will never meet again as Aubrey goes back to college intent on forgetting about the whole mess even after she finds out who Kozart is. But of course it doesn’t play out like that. Kozart immediately realises that when he’s with Aubrey his insomnia disappears. So they embark upon a long distance friendship where she helps him sleep. Along the way they have quite a sweet romance. I think for the rockstar genre, this felt much softer than some. It had a NA feel to it. Aubrey is at college and their relationship has a slower, getting to know each other feel. It’s a friends to lovers book really. I ploughed through it like it was soft butter. I love the genre and I loved this.

I so wanted to love this book. This author has written books that intrigued me but this fell flat. The premise is like so many rockstar books.... rock star and an average young woman.... There wasn't any unusual angst but an ex boyfriend (no real problem,) and manager/publicist who watches his image. So average rating for not great but good.

Rock vs. CountryWhen a rock star walks into a bar he sees a woman face down on the bar with a frilly dress and heels to match what is he to think? How about that said woman was at her sister’s wedding and she catches her boyfriend with another of the bridesmaids and only to make it better her boyfriend is now her sister’s brother-in-law. Another part of their first meeting is that Aubrey has no idea that the guy who took her back to the wedding to help her get some dignity back was a famous rock star that just about everyone on the planet knew and would have loved to catch him. Kozart didn’t want to be caught though and Aubrey didn’t like rock…she loved country music. The childhood of Kozart left him damaged but would Aubrey be able to pull him through? This book kept me turning pages because it was that good.

WOW! Just WOW.I read a lot of NA books. I find them to be light and fun and it's a great escape. J. Nathan takes her NA books to another level, though. When I download a new J. Nathan book I know I'm gonna smile and fall in love with her characters, but more than that- I know I'm gonna get such depth of emotion. I know I'm gonna read a book that will stay with me for a long time to come. Kozart by J. Nathan totally exceed my already high expectations.Kozart starts out with the perfect meet-cute. WOW! Aubrey is trying to-be passed out at a bar after being humiliated at her sister’s wedding and in comes Kozart, a rock-star who she doesn’t even recognize, to save her. The dialogue between these two will keep you smiling all through the book. (Seriously great dialogue!)Aubrey is a heroine I love and can admire. She’s self-assured, has great friends, and won’t let herself be taken advantage of. I really enjoyed seeing this strong young woman take on Kozart. As for Kozart – oh my gosh, he broke my heart as I fell in love with him. I thought he would turn out to be the stereotypical rock star – arrogant, with lots of girls all over him. But he was such more. He has a sh*t past and we soon find out, he is so much more that what the world sees. And ladies? As we discover who the real Kozart is, I guaran-damn-tee you, you will fall in love. When he says to Aubrey, “I thought you’d fight for me” well I swooned like a Victorian heroine! Oh the feels. Kozart is wonderful story that I’ve already read twice and I KNOW I will keep re-reading. I just love the characters so much. I especially loved how J. Nathan took her time letting the characters get to know each other. This is way more that your typical rock star NA romance. It’s a solid 5-star, top read for me. Go one-click! You won’t regret it.I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this novel. I am voluntarily and freely providing an honest review.

This was my first J. Nathan book and I really enjoyed it! I went in pretty blindly and could not put it down. I don't typically seek out rock star romances, but this blurb pulled me in.Kozart and Aubrey meet, when she just witnessed her boyfriend cheating on her. She meets Kozart but she doesn't really know who he is, which intrigues Kozart even more. This book has gave me all the feelings. Lots of laughable, sweet, swoony, frustrating, emotional moments. I loved these moments they shared. Them fighting their attraction but him needing her as a friend more than anything. His need for her to be able to enjoy the simplest thing in life was quite adorable. I really felt for what he's endured in the past and what he needs to push past to be able to open up for Aubrey to be in his life.J. Nathan did a fantastic job of their love story, and I enjoyed every bit of it.

I received an ARC of this book and this is my voluntarily, honest review of it.J. And now that I have read it, I’m very happy to say that I enjoyed this story also very, very much.‘Kozart’ was a pleasant surprise to me because when I started this book I had this idea in my head about how this story would go, the idea coming from previous ‘rock star’ stories that I had read from other writers. Most of this stories are emotional and a bit dark and edgy but this wasn’t the case with this story and I LIKED that!! ‘Kozart’ was more of a sweet, fun story but it also had a few emotional scenes in it. I loved every bit of it. Both, Kozart and Aubrey’s characters were very likeable, I appreciated their honesty towards each other and the friendship that slowly grew between them. I loved the fact that Kozart trusted Aubrey enough to show her his vulnerable side. Aubrey was a down to earth girl, who just knew how to handle this hot rock star guy. The interaction between the two of them was great. This new adult story is told from both POV’s.So if you are looking for a dark, emotional rock star story filled with drugs, cheating and hate don’t even try this book but if you are looking for a sweet, emotional and fun story, give this one a try! If you’re a fan of Jamie Schlosser’s books, you really have to try this book too, you will love it!I’m already looking forward to J. Nathan’s next book.

I liked Aubrey the girl was entertaining you never knew what was going to come out of her mouth, “I did ?” Laughter burst out of me. “Even when I’m drunk I’m awesome.” Kozart is just a smart***, “well, right now, I’m liking having you pinned between me and this window.” Kozart isn't one to share, “I’m thinking you won’t be needing that profile anymore. Unless you wanna see me kick the *** of any guy trying to get near my girl.” I liked this book, I loved Kozart.

I love a good rock star romance and Kozart was that and so much more! From the very first page I was hooked into these two characters and their story. I devoured this story, it was such a fantastic, enjoyable and engaging read. I adored every page of this book. These two together certainly gave me the tingle vibes. Every J. Nathan book I pick up, I fall in love with. This one was no exception. Plus I love rock star books!! Kozart and Aubrey's journey will have you swooning and rooting for them. It was a fun story with enough angst to keep you reading on, but with a perfect ending. Well done!!

I loved their banter when they were beginning to know each other. When things started to get heated up and they face an obstacle their anger feels a bit abrupt, I think with a bit more build it would have flowed a bit better. Other than that I liked how there wasn't a lot of back and forth with their feelings (which sometimes happens in romance books). The ending was of course HEA and I wished we got a bit more. Whenever I wish for more with H/h that is how I know I enjoyed the book!J. Nathan is a relative new author for me. I've read her For you series that I enjoyed especially For Emery (if you like her work I'd check this one out too). Her writing is getting better with each new book she writes. Looking forward to more books from her!

Kozart is my first book by this author and it most certainly will not be my last as I absolutely loved this rockstar romance. The book had sweet, romantic moments with just the right amount of drama to keep the book interesting. Kozart aka Z Savage is not your stereotypical playboy rockstar, which is one of the things that I loved about him. He had a difficult past that will pull at your heartstrings and the author does a great job showing how his childhood affects his ability to fully trust peo Kozart is my first book by this author and it most certainly will not be my last as I absolutely loved this rockstar romance. He had a difficult past that will pull at your heartstrings and the author does a great job showing how his childhood affects his ability to fully trust people. Aubrey is a smarty pants and full of sarcasm - both qualities that I love. She is a country music fan and doesn’t immediately know who Kozart is when she encounters him at a hotel bar the night of her sister’s wedding. Given that her boyfriend cheated on her at her sister’s wedding, she carefully guards her heart. Kozart and Aubrey make a great couple and I enjoyed their flirtatious banter via text messages and in person as well as the sweet moments and the steamy moments between them. I also liked the secondary characters in the book and I would love for this author to give them their own stories. Overall, I really enjoyed this rockstar romance in that the characters were likable, the storyline was interesting, and the book moved at a good pace. I received Kozart for free and I am looking forward to reading more books by this author.
