Wicked Gods
Nowhere is safe when the gods are wicked.Since the beginning of times, there has always been two sides: Norms and Idols. But never have the scales been so unbalanced as they are today.I’m a Norm, which means, I grew up in fear of the Idols and their godly powers. And now, I’m going to be surrounded by them, day and night. I’ve been offered a place at the prestigious Gifted Academy, an opportunity very few Norms get.To survive, I must become invisible. But my hope to get through the academy unscathed goes down the drain when the most powerful boys in school set their eyes on me.They hate me simply because I’m a Norm. If they knew who I truly am, they’d tear me apart limb by limb. But I’m done cowering away from Idols. It’s time for the Norms to fight back, and it all starts with me.*Wicked Gods is a steamy, paranormal academy RH bully romance.

Wicked Gods by Michelle Hercules was my first read by this author and exactly what I needed! I don't know about you, but when I'm stressed or going through a difficult time, there are certain subgenres of romance that I reach for. This book happens to incorporate two of them. It's a paranormal, reverse harem, bully romance, and I enjoyed every minute of it! Daisy is a Norm which means she is on the bottom rung of society with no preternatural abilities. To make matters worse, her parents were murdered right in front of her eyes leaving her to fend for herself at a young age. She also has a little sister to take care of, and being a norm makes that extremely difficult. Daisy's job as a waitress barely covers the bills, and just when she thinks her and her sister are going to get kicked out of their residence for lack of rent, someone offers her the chance of a lifetime, a scholarship to attend Gifted Academy. She'll have to quit her job and reside on the school premise, but her sister will be able to remain in their home due to the money from the scholarship. Going to this school is her best shot at doing better in life and keeping a roof over her sister's head, so she can't turn down the opportunity. Why would she want to turn down the opportunity anyway? Well, Norms don't attend Gifted Academy. Idols do. Idols are the members of society descended from gods that possess supernatural abilities. Most of them have little regard for norms and treat them poorly. They see norms as less than them in every way.Because of that, Daisy expected bullying to some degree, but four boys in particular,  Rufio, Bryce, Morpheus, and Phoenix, set out to make her time there a living hell. They want her gone immediately, but Daisy doesn't scare easily. She knows what graduating from the academy can do for her, and she's not going anywhere. Wicked Gods held my attention from the first chapter to the last! Michelle Hercules' writing is captivating, and I honestly never got the urge to put the book down at all once I started reading. The world she created is interesting and intriguing, too. I loved learning about the Norms, Fringes, and Idols and the way they interact with each other. The boys and Daisy have great chemistry and banter, and there is a good bit of mystery involved in this story which just made it even better. The book ended on a cliffhanger that made me want to pick up the next book immediately. It's not out yet though, so I have to wait. Thankfully I won't have to wait long! Book 2 is coming soon! If you're a fan of paranormal, reverse harem, bully romance with a dash of mystery, this is the one for you!

Michelle Hercules has brought forth and amazing new addition to the Reverse Harem/Bully Academy Trope, and I absolutely LOVED it!Daisy has grown up in a world where Idols rule, and Norms are the scum under an idol's shoes. Idol's are strong, and no Norm can actually hurt an Idol, so her father's work was critical to helping the Norm world bring some control back into Michelle Hercules has brought forth and amazing new addition to the Reverse Harem/Bully Academy Trope, and I absolutely LOVED it!Daisy has grown up in a world where Idols rule, and Norms are the scum under an idol's shoes. As a young girl, she watches as her parents are murdered by Idol's because her father was studying to find a way to destroy them. Idol's are strong, and no Norm can actually hurt an Idol, so her father's work was critical to helping the Norm world bring some control back into their world. Ever since Daisy had seen her parents murdered right in front of her, she has been on the run with her younger sister, doing everything she can to help keep her safe. While working one day, Daisy finds herself in a really tough situation, face to face with 4 extremely strong and terrifying Idols. She ends up having to gather her things and try to make some quick money to get both herself and her sister out of Saturn's Bay, because if found, she would most likely be killed for the mishap she had. Shortly before making her escape, she is offered a position at the Gifted Academy. The Academy that the same 4 Idol's who want to kill her, attend. She is terrified, but takes the spot that she is offered, in hopes that a good education will help her better help her sister Rosie in the future. When Daisy arrives at the Academy, she knew it would be bad, because Idol's hate norms, but as it turns out, it was a lot worse than she could've ever imagined. Slowly but surely, she builds a hate-love relationship with the 4 Idols she is so terrified of. Rufio, Morpheus, Pheonix, and Bryce enjoy giving Daisy a hard time, but no one had any clue as to what was really going on, and why Daisy of all Norm's, was invited to go to the Gifted Academy. This book had me SO hooked, from page 1. I could barely put it down to try and adult! If you love a great Reverse Harem/Bully Romance, I HIGHLY recommend giving this book a read. It is everything you could want in the trope, and the cliffhanger was hardcore, but SO worth the read. I am already dying for book 2 in the series!Make sure to give Wicked God's a chance, I promise that you will not be disappointed!

Different factions with so much hatred and animosity. Tension and destruction fills the air along with malice and distrust.I freaking loved the storyline. From the bullying to the secret shared moments each appealed greatly to me.The characters at the start confused me. I couldnt differentiate between the four boys and it took me a while to set them apart in my mind.Once that clicked and their intentions masked or otherwise became clear I fell deeper. I've nor read Michelle before. The cover grabbed my attention first and foremost, and the blurb made me want to read it.I'm so glad that I did! I desperately want to give it five stars but the fact that I was lost in the characters for so long took that away but it's an incredible read definetly worth of 4.5 stars!

She gets the chance of a lifetime to enroll in the Gifted Academy, which not a lot of norms get, ever. This is terrifying but also a great chance to allow her sister a better life. She knew that there would be ridicule, but when the strongest and hottest idols in the school can't seem to get her off their mind, they try any means possible to do so and it is not pretty. There is also something fishy going on at the school and people are being injured, who is causing all of this?!All in all, I am so freaking excited to read this entire series. We are given POVs from Daisy and the 4 idols and get to know everyone better and uncover hidden motives. I cannot wait for the second one especially with how this one ended-- I need to know what happens! Great story Michelle Hercules, I will be following this series closely! <3PS: Thank you to Social Butterfly PR and Michelle Hercules for allowing me an ARC of the book to read and review it honestly!

A story that will suck you in! Daisy’s journey is one of a survivor. Her interactions with the four Idols keeps the reader on his/her toes. This book was fantastic! I absolutely love Daisy who is the badass doesn’t take any crap from anyone FMC. She is so strong and sassy! She puts her family first which is part of why she accepts a full scholarship to the academy. I think the world that Michelle has created is unlike anything I have read before. It is full of ups and downs and I was constantly on the edge of my seat! I don’t want to give anything away, so I will just say this book is a must read!

Awesome book! Daisy is so strong and determined for a “norm” and I love how she always stood up for herself. Her Idol boys have a lot of making up to do though in my eyes. The things they have put Daisy through are unacceptable. I don’t know how this will all play out but I know there are lots of agendas going on inside the academy. Can’t wait for more!!!!

I have no one but myself to blame for reading these kinds of books. I don't like saying guilty pleasure because I wont feel guilty for things I enjoy but some how these fall into that category for me. Its not necessarily the books fault on this one. It follows the formula I think people like when it comes to this type of book, the whole Bully romance academy shtick. I am so over them yet I get desperate for something to read so I say fuck it and then the entire time im annoyed for reading it. 99 I have no one but myself to blame for reading these kinds of books. I am so over them yet I get desperate for something to read so I say fuck it and then the entire time im annoyed for reading it. 99% of the time the girl is always such a cry baby push over and I mean I get it the guys are full on cruel assholes... but that's the thing they are such assholes to me I dont ever see how they are redeemable .. at all like sorry but no. I keep reading these because I hope to find a girl who takes all the have to give looks them in the eye and just laughs and laughs because they are so pathetic and moves on and finds a hot guy group off to the side to date and have fun with because they are nice. (view spoiler)[the guys in this are just fucking pieces of shit? like straight up like maybe they have some oh.. this is mean moments in their head? but then they do it anyways... as well as no one else is in their head ? so only us readers are seeing blips of their "humanity", so they just are still a straight up asshole? and the one guy is just a bystander and lets it happen and were supposed to be like oh but hes nice to her.. like no hes not. I feel genuinely scared for girls who read these and think this is okay. I'm all for a bit of fantasy read but I knnnoowwwww there's girls out there who wont get that and this this is okay in real life and that's the part I cant deal with. Also one guy is seemingly getting raped by his father?? as if that horrifying and disgusting thing is supposed to make us forgive how horrible he is to the main character I can feel it being set up so she finds out and she feels bad for him and see's him in a "new light" and forgives his shit treatment. like no I can feel sympathy for a character but cant forgive the actions. uhg (hide spoiler)]safe to say idk if i will read the next, it was kind of all over in the fact idk what the point even was? Like I think there's a kind of mystery running in the background on who she is or a secret order or something. I think the start had potential but then it was just back and forth between the guys inner monologue how they want to kill her but fuck her first but shes so gross but so hot. to the MC just kind of woe is me trudging through school having random interactions. for one moment I thought she would stick to her guns and be over them but then they gotta fit the "romance" portion of these bully romance books in somehow.

4.5 starsPretty good, super interesting world, fleshed out characters, and a pretty intriguing plot. Knocked off half a star for cliche, flat girl bullies. They always seem to be written as bitchy whores in order to make the MC look good. It'd be nice if they were more complex than simply just being mean and shallow. It's like they're a hive mind and share one personality. I don't like bully books, but lately since the bully academy fad in RH i've been forced to read more of them while waiting f 4.5 starsPretty good, super interesting world, fleshed out characters, and a pretty intriguing plot. Felt kind of like a paranormal archeological trip into reading.I struggled to get really imto this book at the beginning but I kept with it and about a 3rd of the way in my perseverance paid off. Everyone in this book has their struggles and most of the plot machinations appear to be Machiavellian in nature. I still am not sure where exactly it is leading but I am looking forward to the next moment of discovery.

This is an awesome read. It grabbed me from the first page to the last. And a real page turner. Its got humor as well. The Author has done a awesome job at world building as well as bringing out the Characters to where you see the emotions, and personality. I definitely recommend this read.Shauna Joesten

O.M.G this book is so AMAZING. I was hooked from the very beginning and even now I've finished I am still in this brilliant story! I love Paranormal Romance, then throw in bully romance I am all over that!! But this book was so much better than I could have ever imagined. You need to read this book!!!Loved every second of it!

Wickedly good! There's so much I need to know! This story grabs you right from the beginning and won't let go. I loved Daisy so much. The guys I had to warn up to but they are really starting to become some of my faves, especially Bryce. Can't wait for book 2!

Amazing I couldn’t put this story down. Daisy is exactly what every bully romance needs. She won’t give up she is a fighter and these boys learn quickly to get on the right side of things. Still not sure who to trust but can’t wait for more.
