Sinister Wizardry (Royals of Villain Academy #3)
Do I want to spend my summer with my vicious classmates at Bloodstone University—better known as Villain Academy? No, thank you. But I've got to find a way to tackle my enemies before they try to destroy me again, and the trail to potential answers starts there.I've had it with taking the high road, though. Come at me, and you'd better believe I'll hit you back just as hard. Maybe that'll mean I have to tap into my dark magic instincts more than I'd ever have planned to, but I'm not letting one more person I care about get hurt. That also means I've got to steer clear of the one guy I completely trust, or I might ruin his life too. With two of the other scions vying for my attention and the last shifting his campaign against me in an unexpected way, I've got my hands full as it is. I can't say whether I'll survive everything this summer has in store. All I know for sure is it's going to be a hot one.*Sinister Wizardry is the third book in a university-age paranormal academy series. Expect magical villainy, a tough heroine who bends to no one’s will, a dollop of steam, and a slow-burn enemies-to-lovers reverse harem romance where there'll be no choosing required.*

Overall 4.5 starsNote: I received this book from the author and I voluntarily give this review, it is my honest opinion.I have never been more stressed out by a book series in my life. Royals of Villain Academy has put me through so much emotional turmoil and I love it.Sinister Wizardry is the third book in the series and it was good but I was full-on excited and had anxiety every time I picked up the book. It has been like this from the beginning of the series because I wasn't use to reading about an environment so openly hostile, plus I never read a bully-romance before so I'm not used to that either, so yeah I was stressed. However, I really enjoyed the story and with every book, the overall story just gets better and better and Sinister Wizardry is no exception.Rory is figuring out how the fearmancers work, she starts to get pretty good at her magic and her personal life is starting to get a little better but there are still problems. One is the fearmancers being horrible, Malcolm Nightwood and his never-ending plots and Rory's bio-grandparents are back. Throw-in a school project that is horrible, the clues that Rory's former advisor gave her, new people cropping up in her life, Rory has a lot to deal with. Things may have died down for the summer but this may just be the eye of the shit-storm that is about to head Rory's way.Pros:Interesting plot, quick read, Rory is a kind but sassy lovable character, the steamy romance, magic, the redemption storyline, the murder mystery aspect, and the unbelievable plot twist.Cons:Overlooking the bullying aspect that I don't care for, nothing, I don't have any complaints.Sinister Wizardry was a quick, fun and exciting read that I really enjoyed and after that shocking end I can't wait to read the next book in the series

Rory's story continues on but this time she has a few more allies, if only she could sure she could trust them. Back at the Academy for the summer after a quick visit to her ancestral home, she is thrown back into wizard politics when the summer project involves affecting a Nary (human). She comes up with an idea that will meet the required criteria and still keep her from violating her personal code. All four of her fellow scions are also on campus and they are confusing her more than ever. All four of her fellow scions are also on campus and they are confusing her more than ever. Connar makes it clear that he meant it when he said he was on her side from now on, though it takes her a little time to believe it. She and Jude are on the outs over his stunt at the concert that hurt her Nary friend so badly that she had to drop out of the school. He is trying to make amends but it might be too little too late. Declan has to keep his distance because of her grandparents seeing her with him at her mansion. He is still doing research for her, but he can't interact without jeopardizing his position. Malcolm is still a wild card, but they seem to have a truce of sorts. As her project and her magic start to come together she is still searching for the truth about what happened to her mentor. He left her some clues, but she is worried about sharing them with the guys since they seem to lead back to current ruling families and she knows that family loyalties run deep. The final page will have you screaming at your ereader.I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.

If you think Rory was going to get a break in this book then you are WRONG! Things do start getting better regarding her relationships with her fellow scions, however she still has to keep her wits about her. Not to mention top on her mind is learning who killed her mentor and why?!?! What doesn't help are her money thirsty paternal grandparents and the surfacing of her bio mum's supposed longtime best friend who is also a dreaded black suit. Who can she trust and who should she keep away from! If you think Rory was going to get a break in this book then you are WRONG! At least the guys are starting to see the real her and NOT what their parents are brainwashing them to think. Here's hoping they can finally work together to find and get rid of the true evil undercurrent at work. Just my theory...I'm wondering if the joymancers were innocent of the charge of murdering her birth parents. Something else truly dark seems to be at play. Here's hoping the younger generation figure out what's afoot in the next chapter of this exciting series! I love Rory's heart and spirit. How she looks out for those she loves and those that need help. All combined with immense inner strength! Three cheers for Rory!! I can't wait for the next book, and seeing how she and the guys continue to grow!

I could not love Jude or Connor more!! They are just so delicious in their desire to woo Rory! I love that the group dynamic is changing. I so wanted Rory to shake up this world and rock the scion's foundation!! The tender moments we see from Connor in this book just make him this huge teddy bear and I seriously want to hug him!! Both he and Jude are serious contenders for book boyfriend material!! I could not part from this story for very long, I just had to read those captivating words!!!

Summer Term at Blood UI couldn’t wait to dive in to this third installment in the Royals of Villain Academy Series. Sinister Wizardry sees the five scions back on campus and competing in a special summer project. With Jude and Connar trying to make their amends, Declan trying to keep up appearances, and not to mention some newly discovered sexual tension with Malcolm this summer term is bound to get interesting.I love how this story navigates all the tension and confusion all of these criss crossing affections cause. It also brings back those crap-tastic opportunist grandparents of Rory, along with an old friend of her mother. All these people are trying to get her attention or favor in some way, or are they just trying to manipulate and use and destroy her? Looking forward to the next book to see how this pans out!

Rory is has had to stay at Bloodstone University aka Villain Academy over the summer to try and find some answers to outstanding questions as well as find a way to tackle her enemies. Can Rory survive this hot summer?I really loved this instalment of the story which saw the relationships between the scions and Rory develop which has great promise for later books in the series. There was a massive cliff-hanger at the end of this book which means I really need to know how the next one starts now. Well written and very enjoyable, it was really nice to see Rory coming into her own powers and yet still keeping her identity and personality. Whilst it is a reverse harem book, it is a very slow burn and so there is nothing particularly unusual in the story. A recommended great story.

Wow what can I say, this series just keeps getting better and better as I try to figure out what is really going on. Really need a score sheet with this series and a lot of hope that Rory and her fellow scions will come out on top and really be friends. And survive! At least most of the scions seem to be on her side as Rory tries to uncover the truth and get other answers about the crazy world she was born into. I love the mystery, suspense, and the magic as Rory tries to stay true to herself and the morals she was raised with. I love that I question exactly who the good guys and the bad guys really are. The writing is great and the story just sucks you in for each book and this one was even better as more history is revealed but it leads to even more questions. Just a great series that does like its cliffhangers but I have to side with the idea that they are what adds to the story. Just a great story and series that I liked it and cannot wait to see what happens next.

Wizardry summer school....you know Rory is not going to pass up the chance to explore the campus with less students floating around all the time. After all, she is burning to find out who killed her mentor! And extra practice and credit for the summer project couldn't hurt, right?! There seems to be a turn around of opinion and feelings among the scions. But can Rory trust it, can she trust them? A lot of action packed in this one. Royals of Villain Academy 3: Sinister WizardryEva Chase 5 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐For a summer term at Villain Academy a lot of stuff went down. Rory decides to attend the summer term. She does her best to stay away from the trouble makers. Jude and Connar has her back and everyone knows it now. The relationship between Rory, Connar, and Jude get steamy. An intense encounter between Rory and Malcolm changes things for Malcolm. He has finally seen the error of his ways. The ending shocked the crap out of me. I am loving this series! This is the third book in the “Royals of Villain Academy” and so much goes on I’m still reeling. Especially after that cliffhanger ending! I love the magic Rory is using to fight back against the mean girls and protect her friends. Ms. Chase has to come out with the fourth book soon so I can find out what happens!I received an ARC from the author. This is my honest review.

Oh Ms Eva you are so deliciously evil! This book is a real page turner! I must say I love how Rori is growing and learning. Her interactions with the other scions are both intriguing and entertaining. But it seems like the more answers we get the more questions we encounter. Everything keeps building and building right up to the unexpected end. I was so frustrated when the page would not turn and the book ended! When is the next book?

The story picks right back up and we are following Miss Rory as she attends her first summer school session. With less students on campus she can take a bit of a breath.... or can she? Pushy grandparents, the mean girl group, and other various things keep popping up. Will the Scions ever come together as a group? Who knows.... I can't wait to see what is in store for us next!!!I was gifted an ARC and will gladly leave a voluntary review.

I am so hooked on this series, it just keeps getting better and better and I'm sucked into the story from start to finish. This one is fantastic. I loved getting more insight into the boys, especially Malcolm. The grand parents are a great addition to the characters too. The plot thickens and it gets darker and darker, but I love it!

I am seriously so in love and completely addicted to this series so dang much. I absolutely adore Rory and the fact she won't let anyone change her views and stands up for whats right. After the last book shes still trying to figure out what was going on with her mentor and what he knew along with learning more about how to use and strenghten her magic. Can not get enough of these books and already am so ready for the next one!!
