3.5 Yummy Easton Stars I love the Paths of Love series. I fell madly in love with Daniel and Viv. Rooted for Stone and Muriella's HEA. Enjoyed the sweetness of deep love and second chances with Juliana and Mitch. And I have been looking forward to Sassy, tough Mulaney, and bad boy Carlos getting their own books. Though it makes me sad to say, as much as I liked this book, I didn't love it like I loved the others. Don't get me wrong, the plot and the writing is good. Though it makes me sad to say, as much as I liked this book, I didn't love it like I loved the others. Don't get me wrong, the plot and the writing is good. I really loved Easton, but Mulaney kinda got on my nerves. Which really shocked me. I loved her in past books. The problem was next to cheating my second biggest reading pet peeve is cowardly behavior, and Mulaney's running in fear from her feelings was too much for my liking. Easton really carried this book for me. He was sexy and loyal and loved Mulaney something fierce. I loved how he pushed Mulaney's buttons, but knew when to give space, too. I really really loved that even while he gave Mulaney space to deal with her fear he didn't come off like a doormat. Which sometimes happens when one mc is pushing and pulling away in a love story. Easton had dignity and confidence. I totally loved him. Mulaney I had a harder time with. At times in the read I was reminded of the Mulaney from books past. Strong, smart, sassy and unafraid to speak her mind. Then at other times I wanted to shake some sense into her. I loved Easton and Mulaney together when she pulled her head from her butt and gave into her feelings. They had good sexual tension and made a great couple. The plot was really good. I was shocked at who the "Bad Guy" turned out to be. I loved getting to see past couples again. Anytime I get more Daniel is a total win for me. The part with Ruby broke my heart. I was glad it didn't go the way I feared. I love me some sassy Ruby. Easton's parents were so supportive and sweet. I ate up every moment with Carlos. OMG the the tension between Carlos and Holly. I can't wait to see what is happening there. I really need more Carlos in my life. Overall a pretty good read. While this book isn't one of my favorites in the series, I'm very much looking forward to the next one, and would highly recommend this whole series if you are looking for a sexy contemporary romance with delicious heroes. https://jessicasoverthetopbookobsessi...

Getting to dig deeper into her character and discovering what was behind that shield if ice queen had me discovering a completely different side to her, a side that I really liked and found relatable. And Easton was just as fun to read about. These two had some intense chemistry that led to amazing sexual tension between them. The little hints of his and Mulaney's past had me captivated and the first time I read their story I had to stop myself from speed reading just to see if my theory about them was correct. I loved that reading experience and how invested it got me into the story. Along with the other little mystery going on through the pages that I was equally intrigued with. Overall, this book is a really fun and sexy read and one I definitely recommend reading. I would say that it could be read as a standalone but I do think that reading at least Three Dates would give you more insight into these characters and have you enjoying them more. SO many questions starting out... I absolutely love these kind of drama-filled love stories. It's set at a family owned oil company in Houston, and I swear, it gave me all kinds of "Dallas" vibes--in the BEST possible way... (like first season Dallas). There's glamour, intrigue, SEXY, and so many questions to keep you flipping those pages. I love when a heroine is strong and feisty, and Mulaney is that in spades. Easton is perfect for her... Mystery abounds in this story! How can you trust your father, when the family business has been sold to another in NY? Why all of a sudden the company has been sold instead of a merger as previously planned? This story is full of mystery, intrigue, accusations, lies, and surprising twists. Grahame Claire puts everything in perspective in the end , with many " I didnt see that coming! " moments! Each book in this series gets better. So far, this is my favorite. This book is amazing. I hardly took a break once I started reading.! Easton and Mulaney have been in each other's life for a long time. Their families are friends, they work together, they are intertwined in almost every way. There is a bit of trouble brewing for The Carter's energy company and they figure out that they must work together instead of against each other and actually communicate to get to the bottom of it. I think Mulaney is one of the most stubborn heroines ever! She's a runner. S This book is amazing. I hardly took a break once I started reading.! I think Mulaney is one of the most stubborn heroines ever! She's a runner. She made me so mad, but I didn't hate her. I didn't like her much in the beginning , especially in the way she was with Easton, but I understood her pain. I saw a different side of her with Leona. She's an amazing aunt. Easton is awesome! He didn't deserve what Mulaney put him through, but he took it because he knew she was it for him and I think he understood her. It was wonderful seeing The Jacobs family as well as Daniel and Viv again! Ruby is somebody I want to know in real life and Stone, I think he will always be my favorite! I loved seeing and getting to know the rest of The Carter family! Although the Carters need to learn how to communicate better. I hurt for what they are going through. Oh, I can't forget Ragnor! What a beautifully written animal, I can picture him so clearly! His behavior and the pain I actually felt from him made me cry ! I can't wait for Carlos and Holly! I hope Carlos will lay a smackdown on Drew! I wouldn't want to mess with Carlos! Heartbreaker is a wonderfully written book that demonstrates love and loyalty in every capacity! I loved the love, the intrigue, and the growth of all the characters. This is a must read!

The writing and characters in this book are exceptional. You learn to really love family from their story, and rightfully so. For Easton and Mylaney, they have a love most of us search for faults and all. I can not wait for the next book and hope this family never runs out of books. Hint hint. I highly recommend you read this great story. I promise you won't be disappointed.

We first met Mulaney in Three Dates and I knew she was going to be a force to be reckoned with and she certainly didn't disappoint. I love smart, tough female leads who fight their softer side only to show us that they love just as hard as they work. And Heartbreaker/Mulaney fights hard for who and what she loves. Easton....oh Easton, he has so many traits I love but the big one for me is his desire to love Mulaney without trying to change her--everyone needs an Easton in their life! I love the Jacobs and Carter families so much and want to be part of their group. I can't pick a favorite among these Paths to Love books because they're all perfect in their own right. My suggestion is to get them all and start reading right now! These authors have quickly risen to the top of my "must read" list of authors of all time. Absolutely Incredible! 10+ stars!

Mulaney Jacobs (first introduced in Three Dates)and Easton Carter are made for each other. Now all he has to do is prove it to the hard-headed, career-orientated, fiercely independent Mulaney. As recently appointed CEO of Easton's family's company, Mulaney believes she has no time for any kind of commitment and past heartbreak has affected her every move since her teens. Her intense fear of lack of control in her life makes her untameable and the added perceived concern about possible preferential treatment in the company holds her back from accepting Easton as a partner. Meanwhile, Easton knows she is his match in every way and has no desire to tame her whatsoever. So when they're forced to work in close quarters Easton uses every tool in his toolbox to prove to her that she can trust him and let go of her fears. His unconditional love is a breath of fresh air and it's truly heartwarming to watch their love unfold. But unforeseen forces are at work to tear them apart and cause dissention within the ranks. When trust gets compromised will their relationship survive uneasy suspicions? I truly couldn't put this book down. I just had to know what happened next and I stayed up all night to find out. One of my favourite aspects of this series is that previous fan-favourite characters make appearances in each other's stories so we get little tidbits about ongoing storylines. The love between Easton and Mulaney gave me all the feels and I can't wait to see if they make appearances in books to come. I highly recommend everyone find a book boyfriend like Easton Carter so do yourself a favour and pick up your copy of Heartbreaker ASAP. I received an advanced reader copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

So when Easton dropped the bombshell to everyone, I was thinking to myself...The beginning of the story, for me personally, felt slow. There was a great deal of information and detail that had an important place in the story but the pace and the hidden past made things feel like they were dragging on. I think about half way through the story, the plot picked up its pace. I did enjoy the entertaining interactions between the main protagonists and their families, particularly Mulanely and her relatives. The large family is always in each other’s business and it’s endearing how much they care and are there for each other. There is also deception taking place but the question is who is actually carrying out the deceit? This story had everything: meddling families trying to play cupid, a stubborn heroine with some insecurities, a patient hero who is determined to get what he wants and plot twists to keep you guessing. There are many barriers for Easton and Mulaney and not always barriers they created for themselves. It was a good story about how you should never give up on what you want. While your mind battles against you, your heart often knows what you really need.

From there the mysteries of the company and Easton's family keep piling up. So from the get go this had me intrigued I wanted to know what Easton wanted to know as well as Mulaney who has worked for the company just as long as he has. The relationship between Easton and Mulaney is very tense, they have chemistry and attraction but Mulaney has closed herself off from that especially with Easton the boy she grew up with and works with. She is jaded from a past that has kind of traumatized her from future relationships even if she wants Easton. Easton wants Mulaney, he wants a life with her and wants all that comes with it but he doesn't let anything like her resistance throw him off his objective which is to have her finally be his. There is a lot of push and pull between these two especially since they are trying to navigate a new situation they are in with the company. There are so many twists and turns in the story it keeps you on your toes and guessing what in the world is happening with this company?! Some times Mulaney got a little annoying just because she would not give Easton any chance at all then she would say something mean to him, but other than that I loved these two together and was glad to see how it ended and was a little sad to see the cause of all the drama was heartbreaking.

Great read - fantastic characters - interesting plot! After reading two previous books in the series I couldn't ask for less. This book is exactly what I wanted it to be and more. I completely haven't expected Mulaney's story to be the way it has been plotted and presented in this book. Story of two stubborn people, stubborn because of different reasons. They are headstrong and successful and got feelings for each other but were afraid to act on the chemistry and strong connection between them. Heartbreaker by Grahame Claire was a page turner. Mulaney Jacobs and Easton Carter work together in his family’s oil business. Their families are close, and they’ve known each other since they were children. They get a major shock when Easton’s dad announces that he has sold the company. Mulaney and Easton have a prickly relationship. Heartbreaker is full of twists and turns, corporate intrigue, and hidden truths. Nothing is as it seems. The tension between Mulaney and Easton ratchets up. The fa Heartbreaker by Grahame Claire was a page turner. Mulaney Jacobs and Easton Carter work together in his family’s oil business. Mulaney and Easton are a complex couple. That’s putting it mildly. They’ve known each other since they were small children. With there relationship changing over the years, it’s hard to pinpoint when everything changed. From good to bad to great to horrible... you get the picture. The very first few pages sure sets the tone of this one. This story had some twists and turns I was not anticipating! I love when a book can trip me up! And this is hard to do in a romance novel. Heartbreaker was possibly my favorite in the Paths to Love series. It's hard to choose a favorite, but I couldn't put this book down. Mulaney is hard-headed, career-driven, and a one-woman wrecking ball, but she's staunch in her love and support of her family and those she considers family. Easton is the perfect man for her. He's fierce in the business world but when it comes to Mulaney, he's patient and understanding and that's just what a woman like her needs--an immovable force, willing to gi Heartbreaker was possibly my favorite in the Paths to Love series. I loved her. I loved him. I loved their story. I loved HEARTBREAKER!

Heartbreaker took me on an unexpected journey filled with suspense that kept me reading way past my bedtime. Easton and Mulaney had so much chemistry it sizzles off the page. I loved how Easton never gave up on Mulaney, no matter what. There were several times I wished I could have come through my Kindle and shake some since into Mulaney but it just made the inevitable that much sweeter. Heartbreaker is the third book in Grahame Claire's Paths To Love series but can be read as a standalone, thou Heartbreaker took me on an unexpected journey filled with suspense that kept me reading way past my bedtime.
