We get visits from old favorites (love SebYo the unicorn), but also get a feel for stories to come (Jason Clarke is so yummy). Even though I read the ebook of this title first, the audiobook is more than worth the credit since it features over an hour of exclusive extras at the end, including bloopers, songs, and even a little something something for all the couples we meet in the book. My favorite was the interview with Shane East and Andi Arndt, which was done masterfully and hilariously by Joe Arden. I may have snort laughed at some of the answers, especially the options for what Arden would name his wedding planning business ;) Audios don't get better than this!*****Instant Gratification was a fun and sexy friends to lovers/best friend's little sister romcom! Readers were first introduced to our heroine and hero (Truly and Jason) in Satisfaction Guaranteed, but this one can definitely be enjoyed as a standalone.Lauren Blakely really makes our hero and heroine work for it in this one and I loved their playful banter and back and forth. The build up really set the stage for the fireworks that explode once these two give in to the connection that they so obviously share. I have to say that Jason's dirty talk was H-O-T! There isn't a lot of drama in this one, but I did feel that the will they/won't they angst was frustrating at times. It felt a little too drawn out for me, but it was worth it in the end.Truly was a fantastic heroine! I loved her drive and ambition and her relationship with her brother, Malone, was so sweet. Speaking of Malone, it was wonderful to see him (and other previous Lauren Blakely characters) make appearances throughout the book. I love how connected her books and characters are. The epilogues (yes, plural!) were perfect and some seeds were planted for future books. I'm definitely excited for Josh and Haven's enemies to lovers story next!3.5-4 stars*I voluntarily read an advance review copy of this book*

Instant Gratification is the second book in the Always Satisfied series by the fabulous and talented Lauren Blakely. Queen LB strikes again with her wit, sexiness, humor and memorable characters. This friends to lovers romance is sweet, sexy, funny and steamy! It can be read as a standalone, but I don’t know why you would want to do that. Go and read/listen to Satisfaction Guaranteed. Queen LB strikes again with her wit, sexiness, humor and memorable characters. This friends to lovers romance is sweet, sexy, funny and steamy! It can be read as a standalone, but I don’t know why you would want to do that. Go and read/listen to Satisfaction Guaranteed. Story:If you already did then you remember Jason, Malone's best friend. The sexy Englishman who's a best-man-for-hire and a savvy business man helping men one podcast at a time. He's also friends with Truly, Malone's sister, and therein lies the trouble. They are just friends except that one night they shared months ago. The night he can't stop thinking about and never lets an opportunity to remind her go by. So, they hang out, flirt, pass innuendos but stay in the friend zone. Until they need each other's help. He needs a plus one to a few weddings and she needs help with a new bar concept. The sexiness and chemistry gets the best of them and they can't keep their hands off each other. But Truly is his best friend's sister. They can't be more than friends. Right? Oh so wrong! But they put up a good fight. Their need is just stronger than their will to fight it. They are hot, sexy, fun and flirty. But one of my favorite things about this couple is the are in the Bacon Haters Club! I thought I was there all by myself! Ok, seriously. Jason with his sexy accent and intelligence is swoonworthy. Truly with her beauty and smarts is the total package. I'm looking forward to more in the series and I loved seeing Charlotte, Nick, Ryder, Sloane, Malone and the whole gang!Audio:Once again, Queen LB has delighted us with this all star cast with Shane East and Andi Arndt leading some of my favorite narrators and a few who are new to me. Shane and Andi really became Jason and Truly. Shane's sexy accent is so delicious and he is a master at using just the right tone and inclination in his voice to portray his emotions. Andi, as always, is just fantastic. She and Lauren and are match made in heaven. And when you add in the rest of the cast, I was smiling, laughing out loud and my ears were so happy! (Joe and Zachary had me laughing out loud, Jason Clarke's sexy British accent had me fanning myself, and Lili Valente's sultry voice was perfection.“What’s wrong with the two of you? You look like someone told you that you have to eat bacon for the rest of your lives.”Truly gives a forced laugh. “That does seem like quite a jail sentence.”He smiles and studies us curiously. “I feel like I should order bacon just to drive you crazy.”“I’m not ready for that kind of punishment,” I quip, He’s too charming, too amusing, too easy to be with. He’s like a bag of popcorn. Have you ever tried to eat just one handful of popcorn?Charlotte: Anyway, just keep on this falling-out-of-bed path and you’ll be fine. As long as you don’t slip onto his dick again, you can totally be friends forever!Truly: Thanks for the tip. I’ll try to avoid falling onto his cock.Charlotte: Well, you do have a history of accidentally landing on it.Truly: Purposefully. It was a purposeful landing.Charlotte: Own it.

Lauren Blakely sucks us readers into her story land and you never want to leave. You should definitely read this book, but I would say read book 1.

How many ways can you say you LOVED it? Lauren Blakely has a way of taking familiar tropes and elevating them, making them smart, sassy, sexy feel-good romances with characters you totally want to hang out with, and Instant Gratification by Lauren Blakely absolutely fit that bill to a T.Sure, the best friend’s sister trope has been done over and over, but Lauren’s stood out with her perfect take on the trope. Instant Gratification is the second in the Always Satisfied Series , and it easily stands alone even though it is closely related to the first, Satisfaction Guaranteed (see my review). Malone, the hero in the first book, has a twin sister, Truly, and his British best friend, Jason. Jason and Truly have always secretly perved on each other, and even had a 1-night-stand at a wedding, but they never let it happen again out of respect for Malone. Charlotte: As long as you don’t slip onto his dick again, you can totally be friends forever! Truly: Thanks for the tip. I’ll try to avoid falling onto his cock. Charlotte: Well, you do have a history of accidentally landing on it. Truly: Purposefully. It was a purposeful landing. I loved Jason’s jobs! He is a best man/groomsman-for-hire! What a great idea for when the groom has fewer friends than the bride or no friends at all. He is also on a podcast on how to be the perfect gentleman. With his accent, it totally works for him. Truly is looking to expand her bar business, and is working on a proposal for an English pub. Who better to help give her an authentic feel than Jason, a Brit? Jason also needed a plus one at some of the weddings he was booked at, so who better to take than Truly? This may lead to trouble folks! “He’s too charming, too amusing, too easy to be with. He’s like a bag of popcorn. Have you ever tried to eat just one handful of popcorn?” This one was a little slower-burn than some of Lauren’s books. Though all of her stories have career-minded couples, Jason and Truly are so focused, they don’t want love to distract them.As always, Lauren brings the HEAT. “All I can think about is how to get this dress off you.”“And have you figured it out?”“Oh, I absolutely have. I’ve mapped out the fastest way to undress you. In my head, you’re already naked.”These two are perfect together. Everyone sees it but them. But how would Malone feel? After a bad experience in the past, he and Truly agreed to never date each other’s friends again. "How could I do this? And by this, I mean engage in earth-shattering, toe-curling, bend-me-over-the-bed-and-take-me-hard sex with my brother’s best friend. By the way, did I mention the sex was incredible?" Likes: •Smart, sexy and fun. •Pretty low angst. •Made me laugh. •Can you say HOT? •Amazing side characters. •Visiting with characters from the previous book and even older series. •The full-cast narration. Dislikes: •None. The Narration: Oh, how I love a full-cast narration! Especially the way Lauren does them. You can tell they are in the same room because the characters play off each other. I will say, in this case, I think it’s better sped up. Because you have multiple speakers having conversations, it sounds much more natural sped up, otherwise there are pauses between each speaker. Since talking over each other, the way real conversations are, is a little too messy sounding for audiobooks, speeding it up really helps. Otherwise, the narration was INCREDIBLE. Shane East and Andi Arndt did a great job as the leads, but the side characters were phenomenal as well. I especially loved Jason Clarke with a British accent. There is no doubt about it, Lauren Blakey's audiobooks have officially ruined me for any others. I wished I had the cast list when I was listening, so I created one!The Down & Dirty: Once again, Lauren Blakely took a familiar trope and made it something completely unique and totally special. Smart and sexy, with great supporting characters, you can never go wrong with Lauren Blakely whether you read or listen. Add to that a phenomenal cast of narrators, and Instant Gratification is instant gold. I actually slowed my listening because I didn't want it to end and unlike other audiobooks, I really wanted to pay full attention and enjoy the full cast. I am SO EXCITED for Overnight Service!Rating: 4.5 Stars, 4 Heat, 5+++ Narration Purchase Instant Gratification by Lauren Blakely  Visit anasattic.com for daily sales, freebies, reviews and recommendations.

Yeah, okay. That might have worked if these two weren’t constantly in each other’s presence- working out, flirting, hanging out, flirting, and now working together, and flirting. They just can’t stop the FLIRTING no matter how hard they try. Or not try. And the teasing, good lord could these 2 tease each other. It’s a wonder they didn’t combust from all the sexual tension rolling off of them- they really did have some great chemistry.Instant Gratification was entertaining and I enjoyed how focused they both were, on their jobs and succeeding at whatever they put their mind to. While I liked both Jason and Truly, this book didn’t grab me like previous Blakely books have. Although brother’s best friend is usually one of my favorite romance tropes, there are times, or rather books, like this, when I’m reminded that it can also be completely frustrating. But surprisingly, it wasn’t for the reason you’d expect in this one. I know this review is kind of all over the place, but this book was a hard one for me to put my feelings into words. I liked it, then it was okay, then I loved parts, but then I didn't. I think I'll give it another shot on audio- I haven't listened to one of the fullcast audios and I'm quite intrigued.

Instant Gratification brings about the story of Jason and Truly. He is a dapper English gentleman who is living in Manhattan giving help to the masses on manners and men’s advice, she is the owner of a Gin Joint. They have many things in common especially being workaholics. Jason’s best friend Malone happens to be Truly’s twin brother, the main reason they feel they can not be together. Truly doesn’t want a repercussion of when Malone dated her best friend and it ended badly. So because of this Instant Gratification brings about the story of Jason and Truly. And it wouldn’t be a Lauren Blakely book if there wasn’t plenty of banter as well. I quite enjoyed this book, it took me a little while to connect with the characters and their dilemma but I got there before half way. Then I was hooked to see how this couple would end up and I wasn’t disappointed. I also love how we get little cameos from characters in previous books. It feels like you’re revisiting great friends. Jason really was delightful and caring on all aspects of his life but the affection he had for Truly was endearing. She was instantly enamored with his accent but also his charisma and work ethics. I do love an epilogue so I was extremely satisfied with the conclusion. I also appreciated the little snippet of what’s in the next book.

Lauren has done it again. Instant Gratification is a friends to lovers/best friend’s sister story. Truly is the sister of Malone, the hero from Satisfaction Guaranteed and Jason is his best friend. Watching them try to navigate around each other and not act on it was fun. The push and pull between Truly and Jason was great. The story was wonderfully written. It was nice catching up with old friends and making new ones. This book was funny, sexy, romantic and so swoon-worthy. You will not be disappointed in picking this up. LB does it again. Her tropes always feed my anti-insta-love soul. Second chance. Friends to lovers. Storylines that cater to a history of emotions.Instant Gratification is just that, although initially our characters just want a little fun for fun's sake. There's an obstacle. His best friend, her brother. I enjoyed the story, its characters, their chemistry, their easy friendship, and the supporting cast. It was easy, fun, and heartfelt.

2.5 starsIt’s unfortunate that I couldn’t like this book. From the start, I had trouble falling into the storyline. Maybe it’s just me, but I felt like this book focused more on the business aspects of both characters’ rather than the romantic aspect. Don’t get me wrong, I like when the characters don’t live in a vacuum and function like normal people, but I wanted more. Know what I mean? I wanted to see the two have more meaningful moments. Maybe go get breakfast together or workout at the gym. 2.5 starsIt’s unfortunate that I couldn’t like this book. From the start, I had trouble falling into the storyline. Don’t get me wrong, I like when the characters don’t live in a vacuum and function like normal people, but I wanted more. Know what I mean? I wanted to see the two have more meaningful moments. Maybe go get breakfast together or workout at the gym. Those things are mentioned in passing, but I wanted to read about them as they happened.PROS:1. Both of the main characters were likable. While I loved Jason, I did have some issues with the way he spoke sometimes (see Cons). Truly was likable because she was confident, strived to accomplish her goals, and was always planning what to do next. She may be a workaholic, but so am I, so I could relate.2. Jason’s business was a bit different, so it was nice to see Blakely branch outCONS:1. At times Jason would say things that I would deem inappropriate for a friend-relationship. Though Truly would think he was just being funny, most of the things he said would make me cringe if my guy friends said them to me. Yes, they have a romantic history, but that is beside the point.2. This book starts off slow. I just coupled't seem to get into the book.3. The relationship between Truly and Jason needed to have more importance. Meaning, there should have been a greater reason for why the two kept away from each other for so long and for why they break up in the middle of the book. I mean, Truly’s brother says that Truly and Jason’s attraction for each other is apparent, and he isn’t upset by it. Right then and there Truly and Jason should have gotten together. When they break up, the things Jason says are totally untrue, and I don’t know why Truly didn’t say so. It seemed almost like she didn’t care one way or another.4. The side characters weren’t needed. I know some readers may be excited because old characters are back, but the whole time I kept asking myself, “Wait, who is Charlotte again? What is her husband’s name? How is she connected to the current characters?” This happened for most of the side characters. I recognized their names, but I’ll be darned if I could place them. Maybe if Blakely gave some background on these characters, it would help.5. Jason’s job as a Best Man made no sense. I mean, maybe that is how people do it in the big city, but in my small town your best friend or brother/sister is your Maid of Honor or Best Man. I just couldn’t find this believable.6. The part where Truly and Jason were afraid what Truly’s bother Malone would think of their relationship was so cliché. I’m tired of reading this trope. Just be honest with your brother, because he only wants what is best for you.I really tried to like this book. I’m usually a fan of Blakely, but lately I feel like her books are missing something. An ARC was exchanged for an honest review.

Instant Gratification, Lauren Blakely's latest masterpiece is ready for your listening pleasure. Turn down the lights ladies and gents and get comfy, this book is going to take you to a place of aural bliss. Usually, when you hear the word "instant" you gaffaw because who wants something to happen instantly? However, when you hear the first few sentences narrated by Shane East, you'll get it. And you'll get it darn good over and over and over again . Blakely has a way with words, we all know thi Instant Gratification, Lauren Blakely's latest masterpiece is ready for your listening pleasure. Blakely has a way with words, we all know this. She has mastered the troupe of "friends-to-lovers", "frenemies-to-lovers" and "forbidden romance." I love that these characters take you on a journey with them in each standalone story while connecting you with new characters and those you've met before. My favorite part was hearing from Mr. Nick Hammer and Spencer because they introduced me to The Queen of Rom Com. Plus it was great to hear Sebastian York reprise his role as Nick. Ok, back to the writing. Reviews are supposed to focus on the writing and the story and all that, and I will, but I'm going to just break this down in simple words. Here are the TOP SEVEN reasons why you need to get gratified: 7. Andi Arndt sings and when I say sing it was full, our loud hilarious. I swear I had that song in my head for days and then I wanted pancakes. "Come get yo pancakes, I know you want'emmmm." Trust me, the song will follow you for days, but it was so fun listening. It is great when a performer gets to showcase their other talents. 6. Vikas Adams and Gigante. Just fantastic narrator. His Spanish accent and his comedic timing is pure perfection. Blakely wrote this script and I feel like he was made for it. Just super fun. He had to be one of my favorite characters. Oh wait, wait until I get to the others. Gah I can't pick a favorite. 5. Ryder Lockhart performed by Mr. Webber. Yes, Zach is Ryder and I didn't even care that originally it was Sebastian York. Everyone nailed their part and I just enjoyed everything he brought to the characters he portrayed. I mention Ryder because he is my 2nd favorite LB guy. 4. Jason Clarke...I don't think I need to elaborate. The guy is talented and he just nails every scene. Oh yeah, Jason is BOSS! 3. The story was well thought out and scripted for audio. The full cast that Blakely has adapted has given her a boost in the ranks of most anticipated audiobook releases. 2. I have to mention Shane East again because this is his first leading role in an LB book and he carries it so well. His tone, pacing, that accent his humor. Well done. 1. Like most LB books, I identify with at least one character. This time, I think I can relate to both Truly and Jason. Both are workaholics and at times don't know how to relax and live. When things seem to go downhill, one retreats back to work mode while the other just accepts it. This is me. I am a reverter (it's a word) and in the story I found ways that I can change my though processes and work through issues without having to choose one over the other. I think Blakely tries to add a little therapy to the stories for people like me. At least it didn't cost me an arm and a leg. Long story short, this book was funny and sexy. Listening to narrators outside of their known genre is priceless. I look forward to hearing more of their stories soon. Now, go get your instant gratification and thank Lauren later...

I was so happy to read Malone, a veterinarian, and his fiancé, Sloan, appeared in this, as did Nick and Harper from Mr. O (Nick, Truly and Malone are cousins). As you can tell, I am a big fan of Lauren Blakely and have read every one of her books. I love her take on rom-coms and re-visiting old friends I met in her earlier tales. Her writing style is unique, witty, and engaging, and she always writes characters I admire and would want to be friends with in real life. You understand how they are feeling and why, and are always on a journey with them as each chapter progresses. In Instant Gratification, which is a stand-alone, Truly owns her own bar/restaurant in New York which Malone often performs in as a lounge singer. I love how business savvy, determined, and independent she is, all while still making time to spend with her brother’s best friend, Jason, a sexy Brit, who happens to be her good friend as well. They have such a wonderful, fun relationship, and an obvious emotional and physical connection with insane chemistry! I also liked how honest they could be with one another about their feelings.I love their support of one another, their banter, and how easily they mesh and get along. They acted on their feelings only once, but decided to keep things platonic as to not risk a fall out if they were to date and it not work out. The slow burn of them being intimate again kept me up all night turning the pages! Jason is such a flirt all tied up in one smokin’ hot package!Jason has an interesting career hosting his own “Modern Gentleman’s” blog which led him to stints on a radio show as a contributor. I liked how classy he was in the streets and a dirty talker in the sheets! He looked out for his younger sister, Abby, in medical school in London, and took on even more work as a “Best Man” for hire to help support her financially. Josh is a hero I admire in every way. He was smart, sensitive, caring, loyal, entertaining, and a good friend and brother.During his stints as a fake best man, he started to take Truly as his plus one, and that’s when things really started to heat up! Lauren can write sexy times like no other. You will blush even if you are reading alone! This book will keep you on your toes at all times because during his side gigs, you will be introduced to other couples such as Chip and Ashley, Gavin and Savannah, Enzo and Valerie, and Amelia and someone she just met. Through her business as a bar owner, we also got to meet Marcus, a bartender turned podcaster, and Coco, a restaurant reviewer. Josh, a sports agent and friend of Jason’s, and Haven, his nemeses, are also featured in Instant Gratification and have an upcoming book of their own in November 2019, Overnight Service, which I can't wait to read!If you love love, then Instant Gratification is a must read! It has all the feels and will have you routing for Jason and Truly to have their own HEA!

I would give this more than five stars if I could.Having read Satisfaction Guaranteed, I was definitely looking forward to getting to know more about Jason and Truly. That being said, Instant Gratification IS a standalone. I'm just a Lauren Blakely junkie-and it's writing like this that keeps me coming back for more.Truly and Jason were just so fun. There's this intense undercurrent between them that they both KNOW is there but agree not to act on. The banter and flirting between them just felt so completely natural. I believed in their relationship and loved watching it evolve. They definitely had some sexy times in the bedroom as well, I definitely fanned myself more than once reading these two! This plot is so unique and fresh. I was fascinated by Jason's line of work and LOVED getting to meet all these new couples. They were just a hoot. The story moved along perfectly and the writing? I can't rave about the writing enough. This story is has so many moving parts but is so well crafted that it just flowed. I did not want it to end.I have to admit that I squealed a lot while reading this book. Why, you ask? Because there are glimpses into characters from previous Lauren Blakely books that I just loved. If I could jump into the book world and hang out with characters you can bet I'd pick this book so I could be with this crew. Now, I was fortunate enough to receive an advanced audio copy of this book as well as an e-ARC. I cannot scream from the rooftops enough as to how amazing this audiobook is. This is a multicast affair and wow, these narrators just NAIL this performance. Listening to this book is like listening to a play. The performers here, led by Shane East and Andi Arndt, just knock it out of the park. If you've never listened to an audiobook before I absolutely encourage you to try this! If you already love audiobooks...get ready for them to be taken to a whole new level with this one. This is definitely one I will listen to over and over. This book is one of my favorites. Instant Gratification is the perfect mix of humor, sexiness and sweetness. I couldn't keep the smile from my face and I know I'll go back and read (and listen to!) this again and again. I'd give this more than five stars if I could. I loved and absolutely highly recommend this book.**This and other reviews featured on our blog, Booked All Night, http://www.BookedAllNightblog.com**

I love when the implications of a story’s title don’t quite ring true…when it seems to indicate one idea but then as the book begins and continues, that meaning holds little significance and, in fact, leads to a much more complicated understanding. Instant Gratification, the two word title of Lauren Blakely’s latest release, seems to imply that pleasure is experienced ‘without delay or deferment’ and when it comes to Blakely’s hero and heroine, Jason Reynolds and Truly Goodman, even though they gave into their desire for each other one-time, they immediately declared it an ‘incident’ that would never be acted on again, meaning that what could have been described as ‘instant gratification’ now becomes ‘delayed gratification,’ but hopefully not ever due to a number of mitigating factors - one being the fact that Jason is Truly’s brother’s best friend. There’s attraction, chemistry, and a more than friends’ connection between Truly and Jason, which means that it’s going to be way more difficult for them to remain just good friends when they can’t stop thinking about their one night together and how desperately they both seem to want more from each other, and the fact that they spend so much time together and even become key players in each other’s businesses complicates an already tenuous situation, but I feel like these two intelligent individuals can figure things out in a way that doesn’t destroy the people they care about but also gives them a chance for more. I found Jason’s business quite intriguing and he seemed to have it down to a science, offering services that, surprisingly, were in demand, and while it’s a strange occupation, he kills it, which makes sense given his dapper looks and sexy accent.Truly’s drink recipes are a nice touch and relate to not only her business but also to some aspect of the story line, making them interesting as well as thought provoking. I’m a huge fan of Lauren Blakely’s romantic comedies and one of the main reasons I find them so entertaining is because of the way she writes the hero’s point of view. I love how she takes readers inside her male characters’ heads and offers honest and hilarious insights about the male gender and their idiosyncrasies. I also enjoy Blakely’s books because even though they may start with similar plot lines, the unique conflicts and/or content that’s added keeps my interest and offers quite a few varying perspectives, which is not something that most writers provide. 4 Poison Apples (The Fairest of All Book Reviews)

I love brother’s best friend romances and I LOVE friends-to-lovers romances. With her new release, Instant Gratification, Lauren Blakely combines the two tropes into one sexy forbidden romance, following two friends whose libidos are in a battle with their consciences. An off-limits romance has never been so alluring than in this achingly sweet, outrageously steamy, oh-so-swoon-worthy rom-com.Longtime friends, Jason Reynolds and Truly Goodman, have effortless chemistry, exchanging whip-smart banter with practiced ease and delighting in teasing each other mercilessly. If there’s a flirtatious undertone to said teasing as well as a hint of undisguised innuendo sprinkled throughout their conversations, it’s because the recollection of their one night together refuses to fade away. But a fear of betraying Truly’s brother, who just so happens to be Jason’s best friend, ensures their relationship remains strictly in the friend zone…or at least that’s the plan. When the charming, gentlemanly Brit recruits the cool, confident bar owner to help with his side gig as a best-man-for-hire, their innocent role-playing as a couple is more like foreplay, especially with Jason using their night together as ammunition. He taunts Truly with X-rated memories, ensuring that their red-hot encounter stays fresh in her mind (not that she needed any help with that). Jason may have sculpted his career around being a modern gentleman but Truly undoubtedly brings out his naughty side. Their romance might start off as a slow-burn but the ever-present sexual tension between Jason and Truly quickly turns up the heat factor. With protagonists that are multidimensional, intriguing, and compelling, an extended cast of characters that provides endless entertainment, and a love story that’ll have you swooning, fanning your face, and grinning from ear to ear, Instant Gratification is another must-read rom-com from Lauren Blakely. If you’re in the mood for a humorous, lighthearted read that hooks you from the start and keeps you captivated until the very end, you need to add this book to your TBR list! *complimentary copy provided by publisher for an honest reviewRating: 5 Stars

Plus Truly and Jason have a secret single night of unforgettable, fireworks booming, earth shaking history so it gets even better. However, their fear of things going wrong and making it messy with Malone has held these two back from pursuing a real relationship.Jason has a strange side job in that he hires himself out as a groomsman. He is charming, has sex appeal and is British (ooh that accent!). He also many other jobs included being a writer and recording podcasts, all about the "modern man".Truly is a wonderfully modern woman in that she is smart, funny, tough, independent and to top it off she owns her own bar. She definitely does not take anything from anyone because she can't afford to. She has ambition and works hard for what she has.Truly and Jason are really good together and make good friends but even better lovers. Their attraction to each other is palpable and it hard for them both to ignore, the more they are around each other. They give and take with witty banter, flirt like the day is long and have a ton of sexual chemistry that is ready to bubble over and explode if the right spark gets near them. That spark may just be started when Jason needs a date to a wedding that he was hired to be at and he asks Truly to accompany him. Their eyes are filled with non-friendship feelings, their words are suggestive and they are having a hard time keeping to their agreement of "one and done".As usual Lauren Blakely has written an interesting story with wonderful characters and included a few characters from previous. I really enjoyed reading this witty, funny, emotional, and steamy romantic friends to lovers and brother's best friend story.I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own but I hope they help you to grab a copy of this book and have a great reading experience.

But he also has a unique side business of being a groomsman for hire. He is a charismatic, flirty Brit that just oozes sex appeal. But he is adamant that he is not looking for a relationship.Truly Goodman is Malone's sister and Jason's other best friend. But she is also a woman he has been attracted to for a while, and they have acted on it in the past...not that anyone else knows. She owns her own bar and is just a much a work-a-holic as he is. She is funny, smart, ambitious, and no-nonsense.These two are supposed to be off-limits, but they are so good together. They have common interests, camaraderie, flirty and fun banter, and a boatload of sexual tension. But they keep walking the line of the friend zone, but start slipping off more on more. It is angsty with all the back and forth and fighting their own feelings. But they both have several reasons why they think they should not be any more than friends. But in the heat of the moment sometimes those reasons get a bit blurry. But they also second guess themselves often. There is so much push and pull...I want it. I need it. I can't have it. I had it. I can't have it again. I need to stop wanting it. Now I want it again. But I'm not supposed to want it. But I do still want it...and round and round they go...This is a sweet, funny, sexy, swoony, and angsty best friend's sister and friends-to-lovers romance. It is told almost entirely in this transplanted Brit's point of view with some creative ways to get into Truly's head. I am sure the audiobook is just going to be that much sexier with his British accent narrating the majority of the story...Holy Moly Swoon! They both will have to figure out how to let go of their fears and find a balance in their lives, as well as come clean to those around them if they really want a chance at something more. But there is a lot at stake. I really loved these two even when I wanted to shake sense into them or hold an intervention. Some of the people Jason meets along the way also give him new insight into the meaning of true love. And their friends have a lot to say on the matter too. I loved hanging out with old and new friends and seeing the connections. Truly and Jason had such hot chemistry and a great base in friendship. This book made me laugh and smile, but touched my heart too. Follow Me: Reviews by Tammy & Kim (Rachel and Jay) | Facebook | Twitter

I was so happy for Jason and Truly to get their story and hope you enjoy it as much as I did.Truly Goodman is a workaholic business owner. She owns and runs Gin Joint and spends every waking hour making her business grow. She doesn't have time for love or romance but she still has a very vivid memory of the time her and Jason crossed their "friends only" line and had the best sex of their lives. Jason is also a workaholic but for different reasons. He is juggling two businesses to pay for his sister's college expense. He is putting her through medical school and it isn't cheap. He keeps hoping for his big break but thus far it hasn't happened so he has no time for love or romance either but he also remembers every little detail of the night he and Truly spent together. Neither one is willing to risk their friendship and also ruining the relationship they each have with Malone. Love will come later in their lives once they get their careers where they want them, right? Well the love Gods don't alway follow our plans so cupid has other ideas for Jason and Truly and love it is. It was so much fun and joy watching these two characters dance around each other so to speak. The back and forth banter they share is filled with so much attraction and passion for each other you expect them to ignite any moment. We are treated with old favorites from other books as well in this story, which I always love when characters are tied together and we get to revisit with old friends and we meet new characters that I hope we get to see more of in the future. I loved this story and hope you do as well.I received an early copy to read and review and give my honest opinion. It's definitely a 5 star read for me, I highly recommend it.

This is Jason Reynolds and Truly Goodman and Instant Gratification is a friends to lovers story that ticked the boxes for me. Jason is Malone’s best friend and Truly is Malone’s sister so these two have met frequently and at one point had a wild night of passion. It was great to see Malone and his fiance Sloan making an appearance in the book as well, it is one of the things I enjoy about Ms.Blakely’s stories, old friends are always popping in to make an appearance which really adds to the enjoyment. There is so much to like about all the characters characters Ms.Blakely writes about and I would be happy to have them as my friends. Truly is a successful business woman who owns her own restaurant and bar and is independent and focused, whilst Jason has a unique job as a Best Man For Hire along with doing his podcast’s and is just as successful. The relationship that they both have with Malone is heartwarming and adds an additional layer to the book. The banter between Truly and Jason had me in stitches at time, it is obvious that their relationship is founded first and foremost on a strong friendship that morphs in to so much more. The camaraderie between all the friends and their support of one another is just as amazing. Did I mention the chemistry between Truly and Jason? No? Well it is electrifying and there were times that I could feel it sizzling around them. Instant Gratification will make you laugh, it will make you smile and at times may frustrate you but most of all it will entertain you.

From friends to partners in business crime to one night stands to lovers to haters to life partners. The full spectrum of romance. It was easy, intense, adorable and hot as hell. Lauren Blakely created a beautiful and heartwarming that tugged at my heart. The secondary characters were amazing. I was laughing like crazy. But they are adults and can forget that ever happened, right?I loved Truly and Jason! The sexual tension between them is thick. They had one very hot night together, but both felt like they couldn’t go there for real because of Truly’s brother. Though they ignore that night and don’t speak of it, neither has forgotten it, and the chemistry between them is high. There was so much back and forth between them. They may have had off the charts chemistry, but it also took a lot for them to even think about trying something. That back and forth made it feel like they were always on the edge of something new, just waiting for the courage to take the leap. Spending so much time together sounded like an easy feat until their attraction came into play. These characters were introduced in Satisfaction Guaranteed, but their story is complete with only this one book. The characters from SG were back on the outskirts, though Truly’s brother, Malone, played some pretty big roles in the reasoning keeping these two apart. This was a great mix of fun, sass, and heat. Truly and Jason have great banter even before the sexual tension ramps up. They are friends first ad that relationship is important to both of them. As they explore what could be between them, the heat only grows hotter!

Listening to all of the characters come together was awesome and made me want to go back and re-listen to their books again.I love a friends to lovers story and this one has a bonus best friend sister too. The chemistry was so real between Truly & Jason. I love that they have great banter and are both so much alike that they get each other. I could relate to these two more than most of LB's characters because career come first for them. It was refreshing to be able to see a couple work without giving up their passion for their careers. The best things about this book for me was getting all the friends in one book. I missed so many of these couples over the years and having them all together again felt like visiting family. They all connect on such a great friendship level. This made the book so much fun and was a reminder about how witty and playful all of these characters were. Lauren Blakely did a fantastic job at bringing them all together and making it feel so natural. The narration was incredible. Every character had their own voice and all the narrators were amazing!!!!!! Lauren always takes such care of us Audiobook fans. This book felt like it was written for Audio, no he said she said. It was made clear that these two were made for each other, but trying to fight the feelings, the attraction, the sexual attention between them both was insane. It was forbidden, they shouldn't feel this for each other. Best friends twin sister? It's a no go zone. But they couldn't help but crave each other. These two had insane chemistry from the beginning. The sexual tension thick enough to cut with a knife. It was addictive and it is one of the many reasons I love Lauren's books. She can pack the heat, the intense chemistry into a plot and have you flipping pages, have you going crazy almost. The push and pull between the two characters were insane. It had me losing my shit to be honest. I wanted them so had, I cheered for them and it felt as though it was a constant push and pull with them, and I floved it! Gah! The author keeps me wanted to come back for more when it comes to her books. They aren't heavy reads, for the most part, it was a light-hearted, fun and hot read, but still holds a storyline you can't help but invest your time. I have become a Lauren Blakely junkie lately. especially in audio. If you want a fun, hot, laugh out loud and even a little emotional at times kind of read then this book is for you. I loved the wedding scenes with all the quirky clients, and also the many hilarious characters Jason and Truly created for themselves. Truly is a master mixologist, and her creative recipes and narratives were a fun addition to the story. This romcom has everything I crave in my stories. It has a fun and heartfelt story, real people who are interesting, and easy to care for, witty banter, loads of sexual tension, and smoking hot passion. I really enjoyed catching up with many of the friends and family in the Blakely world, while meeting new intriguing friends like Josh and Haven who will have their own story coming soon! I absolutely loved this multi cast narration! I thought it might be overwhelming but I easily fell into the rhythm of this extremely talented cast. Each character had their own distinct voice and was performed flawlessly. I loved this heartfelt, fun, and sexy romance brought to life by Andi Arndt, Shane East, and the rest of this amazing cast. They’re friends and help each other out. When Jason needs a date for a wedding, Truly goes. When Truly needs help getting idea for her new place and needs a pub crawling friend to help her, Jason’s there. Such a great foundation to build upon. If only, Jason wasn’t Trulys brothers best friend. Oooopss. Yup, several of my fav troupes all in one. Friends to Lovers. Check. Brothers best friend. Check. You don’t just get all the dirty talking, you get a great romance as well. Great thought out characters that you come to love. Jason is helping his younger sister with med school (cue the awwwws) and Truly loves her brother and never wants to disappoint him. I love good family ties in a book! I also loved seeing some of the other characters as well. Charolette and Spencer, Malone and Sloane. Loved seeing cameos of them. Another thing I love of LB books, they are all stand alone but interconnected with others and we get to see some of out past favorite characters! If you love steamy friends to Lovers, a Brit with a filthy mouth and a heroine who gives it back just as filthy, you’ll love this book! Promise!

5 SMOOCHES!It’s not a secret that I’m a huge Lauren Blakely fan, but of all of her awesome books, and there are so many, it’s her male point-of-view stories that are my favorite. Blakely’s innate ability to get into her hero’s heads and giving her readers their thoughts, feelings, reactions and realizations genuinely and authentically. There is something about experiencing the story solely through the hero’s perspective that makes it completely addictive to me, and no one does it quite like Laur 5 SMOOCHES!It’s not a secret that I’m a huge Lauren Blakely fan, but of all of her awesome books, and there are so many, it’s her male point-of-view stories that are my favorite. There is something about experiencing the story solely through the hero’s perspective that makes it completely addictive to me, and no one does it quite like Lauren Blakely.Instant Gratification is a combination of two of my favorite tropes – friends-to-lovers and best-friend’s sister, and Blakely blended them perfectly. Jason, a modern gentleman and best-man-for-hire, and Truly, a successful business owner, had such delicious chemistry. After one sizzling night together months earlier, they decided it better to focus on their friendship. But that kind of chemistry was hard to ignore. I loved how Blakely paired this couple, and between their witty back-and-forth bantering, their smart conversations and that simmering attraction, it was becoming increasingly difficult for them to remain in the friend zone. After reading Satisfaction Guaranteed, I was really looking forward to Jason and Truly’s story, and Blakely delivered the fun, flirty and fiery romance I was hoping for. She just has this way of telling a story that is uniquely hers, and it never fails to make my heart happy. A fabulously executed romantic comedy, Instant Gratification had exactly what I look for when I pick up this genre: well-developed characters in a smoking-hot romance with enough of that ‘will they or won’t they’ push and pull to keep me on my toes. Five smooches from me for Instant Gratification by Lauren Blakely!~Danielle Palumbo

Instant Gratification is a sweet and funny friends-to-lovers rom-com. The story was filled with the usual wittiness and humor, but also with the additional drama of falling for your best friend’s little sister. I had so much fun reading this feel-good romance.Jason was a charming Brit who had always been attracted to his best friend’s sister, Truly, for the longest time and the attraction was mutual. However, they each had their own reasons to keep themselves within the friend zone. Their chem Instant Gratification is a sweet and funny friends-to-lovers rom-com. However, they each had their own reasons to keep themselves within the friend zone. Their chemistry and connection was obvious. I loved their flirty banters and sexual innuendo. It was endearing to see two candid and genuine friends trying to figure out how to fit each other romantically in their busy challenging work lives. It was wonderful to see some characters from the Big Rock series and other previous work made appearances throughout the book. It was delightful to see how they were doing beyond their HEA. I loved how the author is continuously building her fictional world in New York City and let the characters check in from time to time. We also got a glimpse of the main characters from the next book in the Always Satisfied series and I’m eager for Josh and Haven’s upcoming enemies to lovers story.I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.Follow Me: Maggie’s Escape Book Blog | Facebook | Twitter | Goodreads

This book gets 3.75 stars from me, rounded up to 4 stars. This book features a mostly likable couple, and they have some hot scenes. It did seem, especially at first, like they were more in lust than in love. They were both just too concerned about their work to allow themselves time for love. They did both realize later that it was a mistake to let work control their lives, and I finally started believing they were in love then.I liked them, but I thought they should have talked to her brother a This book gets 3.75 stars from me, rounded up to 4 stars. This book features a mostly likable couple, and they have some hot scenes. They did both realize later that it was a mistake to let work control their lives, and I finally started believing they were in love then.I liked them, but I thought they should have talked to her brother a lot sooner -- their angst over hiding their relationship from him was just unnecessary. I did like that they were both so lighthearted and open to having "fun" together, and they were often really funny. My rating system is below.1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it.2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws.3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating.4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one.5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.

” Love is distracting, but it’s also something wonderful.”Instant Gratification is the second book in the Always Satisfied series by Lauren Blakely. It is a fun, light and sexy best friends to lovers story. There is also a trace of forbidden romance in here (Truly is a twin sister of Jason best friend, Malone). And both of them shared something naughty in the past. There is something very addictive in Lauren Blakely stories. Maybe it is “no big drama” theme or the value of friendship. And both of them shared something naughty in the past. There is something very addictive in Lauren Blakely stories. Maybe it is “no big drama” theme or the value of friendship. Her heroes are mature and in this way deal with their problems, no hiding, only listening to friends advice and their hearts. Jason and Truly are supposed to be off-limits to each other, but even their friends know how good they are together. When Jason agreed to be Jason plus one in his “Best Man for Hire” business, they could not stop the scorching hot chemistry and pull between them. And when Jason talked dirty, you had to give up. Sparks flew and they both decided to give ourselves a chance. Both of them are very successful, witty, funny, ambitious and looking to expand their own business. But when life started to throw obstacles at then, Truly and Jason started to second-guess their relationship. Love was supposed to make you strong, not weak. Will they overcome their fear?I have to say, it was hard for me to connect with heroes and get into the plot. In the end, I liked the Truly and Jason story, but I enjoyed the previous ones even more. But Instant Gratification gave me an insight into the meaning of true love (it doesn’t know the age) and value of true friendship. An arc kindly received in exchange for an honest review. Thank you so much.
