This makes my heart so happy; thank you for this slice from my childhood and all the different illustrators. This picture book celebrates the fiftieth anniversary of Sesame Street and it's catchy theme song. You can hear the tune in your head right? "Sunny day, sweepin' the clouds away..." Was dying to get my hands on this because Christian Robinson, Emily Winifieled Martin, Kenard Pak and Sean Qualls were all in the same place! Pros: illustrators are obv great and the concept is cute and nostalgic butttt there's one fail. It's pretty difficult to determine which illustrators did what (illustrator's names aren't listed in corner of works and there's no table of contents--you can find illustrator bios in the back.

So awesome how they did this with a variety of illustrators, one for each spread. A couple people I'd never heard of, a couple that were easy to tell who they were, and some surprises! I wish it came with a CD with the song, though I guess for just one short song that would be not much for a whole CD. Maybe there's an audio version?

I liked seeing how a variety of artists chose to illustrate each spread of the Sesame Street theme song. Some were familiar and others new to me. Each illustrator has a brief bio at the back of the book.
