Dangerous Desires is book two in the Dangerous Beauty trilogy by J.T. Geissinger. To start off with, I just want to say WOW! This author! She writes the most beautiful words! This would be classified as a romantic suspense but I don’t think it matters what genre she is writing in. Her words are just perfection. This book starts up right where the previous book left off. But here is where I have to say BUT! Because if you think you knew where things were going to go, you are in for a big surprise. Dangerous Desires is book two in the Dangerous Beauty trilogy by J.T. But here is where I have to say BUT! Because if you think you knew where things were going to go, you are in for a big surprise. This book is one surprise after another. We are introduced to a new character, Killian, whom I’m pretty much in love with I might add. Eva is probably the bravest woman I have ever read about. The love she and Naz have for one another is breath taking. There is nothing these two won’t sacrifice for one another. What I love, though, is that they never lose the humor that they share with one another. They could be in the most stressful of situations and that banter is still there. Naz is every bit the alpha, I’m the man and I’m going to protect my woman mentality. He goes nose to nose with Eva more than once because she will never again relinquish her power to any man, no matter how much she loves him. She wants to stand by Naz’s side, not behind him. She wants to bring down the man who forced her to live with pain and torture the last seven years and she will be a part of the process. “I know this is the only heaven a man like me will be granted, so much more than I could ever dream or deserve.” Naz also has all the words. That man! I swooned so much it’s a wonder I didn’t pass out. I really can’t say much more, other than to prepare yourselves for a crazy, wild ride. And prepare yourselves to sigh, swoon, gasp, smile, maybe even laugh out loud. This book/series has every single thing that I love. But I really have to again give all the credit to this amazing author for writing all the words. Yes, there is a cliff hanger. There is one more book to go, Dangerous Games, due out later this year. It can’t get here fast enough. For more about this book and so many more, come and visit me at Carol's Crazy Bookish World.https://www.facebook.com/groups/44036...

I devoured this one!I've been utterly antsy to get my hands on the second installment of this trilogy ever since the jaw dropping cliffhanger in book one. Naz and Eva completely stole my heart in the last book, but it was nothing compared to what I experienced with their story in this one.Eva was ready to make the ultimate sacrifice to protect the man she loves, even willingly hand herself back to the devil again. But just as she's determined to protect Naz, he's just as determined to protect her. But in order to protect the woman he's fallen so hard for, he needs to find her. And it's extremely hard to find someone when they go through a lot of trouble to ensure that they can't be found.I don't want to give too much away about the plot in this book, so I won't say anything about it. What I will tell you is that there's a secondary character that was introduced here that I'm fairly certain I'd give an ovary to get a book for. Talk about your enigmatic and mysterious characters, because OMG! I NEED.Eva and Naz are just as potent together. Their cute joking insults and their undying devotion for each other is captivating. You can't help but fall for these two. They are both so fiercely protective of each other. I love that Eva is no one's victim. This woman is a survivor and a fighter where Naz is a natural protector. And together, they're absolutely incendiary. I’m in love. I’m so fucking in love. If I lose her, it will end me. I devoured this book in one sitting! I couldn't put it down. And twist after delicious twist, it continued to own me until the very last page. Now if I could just survive the unbearable wait until the conclusion.ARC courtesy of publisher in exchange for an honest reviewFind me on:

Talk about being on the edge of my seat! I don't think I have devoured a book so fast! This starts right were we left off in book one. So yes, you gotta read book one first and this is not the last in the series. This is a trilogy. If you aren't much of a fan of trilogy's, I promise this one is worth it. This is such a consuming story I wish I could find more books like this one. The heroine is in a very dangerous situation and the hero is desperate to protect her. I swear there were moments in this book where I could hear the music in the background that warns you something is about to happen and I had to brace for impact. I just have to mention that I absolutely love the addition of the new character. I'm so intrigued by him. I will pray to the author Gods that he survives in this series and gets his own book. The third book can not come fast enough! I absolutely loved this!

Her innate ability to read people helps her to discern the murky character that holds her captive but fails her when it comes to another. There are some intense scenes so surprising, as well as shocking, that I found myself mentally looking around every corner afterwards.Naz is left scrambling to figure out what is going on and in the process we’re given some amazing images of how is mind works when it comes to protecting Eva. It’s the kind of stuff that’s my bread and jam. I loved his protective mindset. ”Tell him if Eva’s in anything other than perfect health when I get there, I’ll cut off his arms and legs and hang him on the wall and name him Art. And then I’ll kill his entire family, all his friends, his pets, and everyone he’s ever worked with. And then I’ll burn down his house and take a rocket launcher to that f---ing ship and send it to the bottom of the ocean with him lashed to the mast, and his bloody stumps will attract all kinds of hungry sea creatures who will eat his god—mn guts out and lay their eggs inside his skull and gnaw on his bones. And then I’ll drag up his picked-over carcass and cremate it and make urinal cakes form his ashes and p!ss on his remains every day for the rest of my life.” And when this couple finally find a place of temporary peace, it was beautiful! They are just so good together, each emotionally healing the other. I loved knowing right here and now that they were meant to be together. ”I love her so much in this moment, everything I was before is incinerated. I came into this room one man, but I know I’ll emerge from it another, a baptism of love so hot it’s a fire that scorches me to the bone and leaves whatever I was before a smoking pile of ashes to be blown away by the wind.” Like the first book, we have the fun banter between Naz and Eva. Their constant teasing was a soothing balm to the danger that surrounded them. It’s a constant roller coaster ride of wit, deep emotion, and the horrors they face. What was already an amazing series was pushed into the stratosphere when the Killian element was introduced. I’ll leave that plotline alone since I don’t want to spoiler it more than to say…scary, sexy, fun, interesting…more please? This has a fast pace to it. Once you start, you will not want to stop. The rhythm is wicked fast with sharp edges to keep you on your toes. And then…bam! Yep, cliffhanger. At least this time I knew it was coming. But gah! Now I’ve gotta wait for book 3!Dual POVSafe (view spoiler)[no ow drama; om causes some serious jealous possessive moment with the H that was wonderful and so much fun to read – he “blackmails” h into kissing him and he doesn’t try to hide the fact that he’s infatuated with her from the H…he actually rubs his nose in it (hide spoiler)]Triggers (view spoiler)[topics of human trafficking; while being kidnapped there is no real threat of her being raped although she’s uncertain of that in the beginning; violence; abuse from h’s ex is briefly touched upon but it is shared by her, not on page (hide spoiler)]

I couldn’t help rooting for and loving her even more than book one. Nasir is challenged in the installment and proves to be a man who’s ready for the job. Both characters are consistent and entertaining. The storyline and new characters were the real winner here. ARC received for reviewI was so excited to get this to finish Naz and Eva's story.... then it ends with another @#$*@*@*@ cliffy!!!!!!!!! This part was really good, and I don't want to give anything away. This one starts off right where the first one ended. There's more drama, new bad guys plus Dimitri, hot sex and then the stupid cliffy which was worse than the first one. I need the next part NOW!

OMG ⭐ First of all, you know how much I love J.T Geissinger, right? You know how excited I got when I was granted this arc too, right? Well, then maybe you could explain to me why I couldn’t get invested in the story and why it took me 4 days to read a book I was supposed to devour in a couple of hours. 🤔As always, I sneaked a peek at the last chapter and found out this too ends in a horrible cliffhanger. I got pretty mad at that, since I hate waiting for the next installment. I get disconnected from the story, forget important facts and so on. 😔 If I had known, I would have waited for all three books in the series to be published.I don’t think I can give you too many details about it, except for that fact that Eva gets kidnapped by Killian , this beautiful bastard, whom you can’t help falling for. He’s cruel, mysterious, ruthless, caring if he wants too, calculated, a mercenary. He has, however, committed a huge crime and it might be difficult to forgive him for it, but he’ll also make you swoon and giggle a little, so...The whole book is basically a suspenseful chase, thrilling, heart-stopping, but once Naz gets to meet the infamous Killian, you’ll definitely laugh at their pissing contest, a testosterone battle full of creative threats. What else could you expect from two alphas infatuated with the same bhrèagha woman? So, if you happen to have missed book 1, I would highly recommend you to wait until November and read the whole series then. Trust me, it’s worth the wait.”ARC provided through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.”

Any book by J.T. Geissinger is a delight for me so I was particularly glad to get this arc from the author recently. Since the last book in this trilogy, Dangerous Beauty, ended in a cliffhanger, I couldn’t wait to read this one. Two lovers on the run, more than one bad guy after them, and so much action and romance kept me turning pages and loving every minute. Two lovers on the run, more than one bad guy after them, and so much action and romance kept me turning pages and loving every minute. Just a heads up, since this is a sequel, there’s bound to be a few spoilers coming up.Part two of this trilogy, Dangerous Desires, starts immediately following the second book. This means Eva has left Naz behind in order to keep him safe from her controlling and all around horrible villain of an ex-boyfriend. She goes to meet the ex and things are not what they seem in any way shape or form. Meanwhile Naz, still very much recovering in the hospital from many injuries, is going ballistic. He leaves the hospital in search of Eva. It would seem that Eva, while trying to shield Naz, has only managed to take them both out of the frying pan and straight into the fire. A new opponent is introduced by the name of Killian. He more than covers his share of intrigue and violence. He was also the twist that ramped up this book immensely. Since this book takes place on a boat a big part of the time, there was plenty of high seas drama as well as on land drama. And while there’s plenty of apart time for the couple this time around, when they do get together it’s explosive. The characters of Eva and Naz, (aka Barney from Geissinger’s Bad Habit series) are both fully realized by the author. Eva has been through so much and has been traumatized for years by her ex and truly deserves to find a good man. She finds that in Naz, a former bodyguard, now a lethal agent working for Conner from this author’s Wicked Games series. I love how she has included characters from her other series. Naz, as well as Conner, has the credentials to keep Eva safe, but she decides to do what she thinks is right in protecting Naz instead. Kinda wanted to shake her for this-not going to lie. Tabby, from Wicked Games, is also along for the ride and I loved catching up with her as well. Killian was a problem for me. He will make you extremely mad, but ultimately I found myself hoping for him to have his own book. He seriously needs one!The romance between Eva and Naz, of course, ramps up in this installment. There’s something to be said for romance and sensual times during extreme danger or distress and Eva and Naz were definitely up for the challenge. They do have off the charts chemistry and banter for days as well. Geissinger does banter like Santa does Christmas. She is in her element when writing banter that’s for sure! This book does end in another cliffhanger which really couldn’t be helped due to the circumstances the characters are in. I didn’t have as big of a problem this time since I knew what was coming. I am really looking forward to the final book in November. If you dislike cliffhangers you might want to wait until then to pick up this series. They do go in order and can’t standalone so keep that in mind. I highly recommend this series and book to adult romantic suspense readers and romance readers in general. It was such a good book and kept me enthralled throughout. This author continues to amaze me with her wonderful writing and storytelling skills.

Eva balances him perfectly with her tender heart and the go-getter attitude despite all the dangers lurking in the shadows. There is a lot more chase in this book and that built the suspense up very well.Geissinger makes me laugh even at the most anxious situations and curl my toes with all the brilliant romance she writes. I can never get enough of her stories. There is a cliffhanger (obviously) at the end that positively surprised me and here starts the wait for the next book. Gahh!

After the cliffhanger in the first part of Eva and Naz’s journey, I was waiting for the second book to come out and how they would find their way of happiness without the dark shadows of Eva’s past.I have to admit the first part scared me a bit, especially introducing a new character, someone totally unexpected. I was afraid of the outcome, because some parts were to me flirting a little bit with some danger that might destroy what Eva and Naz had. However the author managed to describe so beautifully the main characters’ passion and endless, unconditionally love. This book was more introspective, focused on their feelings, insecurities and risks for their mission, to go on war against someone who used to have the upper hand, but above all the trust they shared, how much stronger they were together and not separated.Oh man how I adored Eva and Naz more than ever; the protector met his match with that woman who in spite of the atrocities she had endured for years was no one’s victim. A man who would cross all earth to make feel her safe, to share her burdens and bring happiness into her life. It was Naz’s natural side and finding her only just emphasizes his need to protect her in any way, a bit alpha at times but damn she could definitely stand by herself. It was just as hot as totally sweet and swoony, and at times just… ovaries exploded!Eva really convinced me on that one, showing that her scars made her stronger, like her love for Naz growing day by day. Giving her strength to fight back and also trying to protect the man she loves in any way. Selfless and caring, passionate and feisty. I appreciated every faces of her personality. And these two together… Oh my, I could feel the love and their hearts beating in sync, they really outshined everything. A mix of hotness, sensual and sweet at times, with a banter I adored. How they could sometimes escape from the real world, just being silly and enjoying and treasuring every moment. In spite of that little part of the story, when I thought I was not going to like it, the author has shown she had more under her sleeves that she was letting on. In this dangerous path, Eva and Naz’s relationship was going to be threatened so many times but they trusted the other completely and mostly communicating and saying sometimes the things that needed to be said. I’ve been holding my breath, reading their story until the end, a real page turner, filled with suspense and sensuality, but mostly so much love. They were such a couple that you cannot not fall in love with, endearing, true to themselves and never letting go. I appreciated the witty and sarcastic banter and sometimes fun parts that gave a little lightness to this heavy side of the story. Speaking of that new character, I’d love to read his story at some point because I’m sure he has a lot of things to share.Once again, one more mind-blowing ending. I can’t wait to read the final installment!!

Starting this book, I had no idea what to expect. All I knew is that I loved Eva and Naz in Dangerous Beauty and wanted more of them. This book made me go through so many emotions; from anger to frustration to elation to exasperation to happiness and then finally to absolute worry and fear with its cliffhanger. I want at first to say that this book did not disappoint. Eva and Naz’s love and willingness to do everything to protect the other at the risk of their own lives was so heartwarming and made me root for them even more. I LOVE THEM.Eva is one of the strongest characters I’ve read about. She has had a shit life, but at no point does she give up, but on the contrary, fights tooth and nail, putting her love for Naz and his safety at the forefront of her reason why she needs to fight. She is the embodiment of the “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger”. Another thing I loved about her is the fact that after all the shit she gets put through, she never loses her sass or her sense of humor, the latter of which shows up the most when with Naz. The latter, on a not-so-different note is functioning on the sheer need and want to find Eva and keep her safe, which not an easy feat when Eva is doing everything she can NOT to be found in order to keep him safe. We’re dealing with two stubborn people who want to be together fighting tooth and nail to keep each other safe and the result is AMAZING and keeps you at the edge of your seat. And their love is absolutely unbreakable and totally worth it. I also very much loved Tabby just as much as I did in the first installment if not more. I loved her sass, her don’t-mess-with-me-I’m-smarter-than-you attitude, and I so want to read hers and Connor’s book, which I’m totally adding to my tbr asap. Now, for the thing that made my emotions boil and then simmer just to boil again. In this sequel, we get introduced to a new character : Killian. The first time we see Killian, it is an instant hate. But the more we get to know him, the more we see how layered he is. This character is so grey I don’t think it is possible to see colors. He’s also very irritating, but against all hope, makes you intrigued, which I HATED, because I didn’t want to be intrigued. I just wanted to hate him in peace. There’s also a little bit of a love triangle, which is a trope I absolutely abhor, but though I still mind it a bit when it’s one sided from the third party, which was the case here, it’s not as much as I do when it’s reciprocated in some way. All in all, even though I knew I would like this book what with my attachment to the characters, it was absolutely not what I expected, in the best way. Any book that can make you feel all the things is a book that’s worth it in my opinion, and Beautiful Desires is totally worth it. I just can’t wait to read the last installment and the conclusion of Naz and Eva’s story. I can hardly sit straight with anticipation.*ARC provided by the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Now I have to admit I was not a fan of Killian at all. I mean after what he did, how could I possibly excuse what he did? I believe he crossed a line, that should not be crossed. However, as in true Geissinger style, she somehow makes him seem human? Killian is intense, strong, handsome, charming and very, very deadly. So I will reserve judgement on him for now. I'm sure he will redeem himself, Lol. I enjoyed Nasir and Evalina's relationship so much. The love that they have for each other is strong and solid. Their love eclipses all other emotions to surpass a love that is powerful and extraordinary!!! Just BEAUTIFUL, ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!!! Filled with action, so much humor and my favorite characters, Connor and Tabby, twists and turns and THAT ENDING? THAT ENDING!!!! I mean I'm not sure that I can wait for the next book, especially with a double surprise ending? I enjoyed this story immensely and cannot find enough positive and marvelous words to describe what I felt as I read Dangerous Desires. Well done, again Ms. Geissinger. WELL DONE!!!!********I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book provided by the author*****

3 stars. Dangerous Desires is book two in the Dangerous Beauty trilogy. I enjoyed book one in the series, despite not knowing going in that it was not a standalone. This book is the continuation of Eva's story. In book one, she met and fell in love with Naz, all while on the run from her psycho, abusive, crime boss ex. In this book, her story continues. I can't say much without spoiling the story, but I will say things get more and more complicated for her (and Naz). I have to say I did not enjo 3 stars. At least I was able to predict the cliffhanger ending this time. I liked Eva and Naz when they were together. Unfortunately, they are separated half of the book. There is another man introduced during the separation and beyond, which felt very love triangle-like. There is kissing between them, under duress, but still. In fact, I wondered if the series would end up as a MFM menage. That made me feel insecure in the love between Eva and Naz. I just didn't feel it in this book the way I did in book one. When they actually are together, Eva and Naz are really cheesy, lovey-dovey, but I still didn't really feel fully convinced of the emotions between them. Still, I did find the story entertaining for the most part, if a little slow at times. Overall, this series' storyline is interesting and exciting. I like Eva and Naz and want them to have a happy ending. I will continue the series in hopes for that HEA.*arc provided in exchange for an honest review*

Well Naz and Eva are back and have picked up where they left us hanging in Dangerous Beauty. This book is not a standalone and this trilogy must be read in order. Because this trilogy is a romantic suspense my review will be quite vague otherwise it will spoil your reading experience. Eva left to protect Naz and in doing so a new player is added to the mix of suspense and intrigue. Naz only wants one thing, to get Eva back and he will do so by any means possible. What I enjoy about these books is that even during the tension of the story there are a lot of lighthearted moments between Naz, Eva and the cast of characters. The silly banter lightens the tension of the reality of their story. Prepare yourself that this isn't the end of Eva and Naz's journey and I see troubled water for them both on the horizon. As with the first book, it's told from dual POV and is full of action, intrigue, suspense, laughs, heat and every emotion imaginable. I cannot wait to read the conclusion to this action packed trilogy!

Dangerous Desires is the second part of Nasir and Eva's story. It's not a stand-alone novel and like book one, it ends with a cliffhanger. That cliffhanger was the best thing that happened in the book. You see, there is a love triangle of sorts. As you can read from the blurb there is 'the darkly seductive spy who abducted her now has more than business on his mind". The majority of the book was slow and I kept waiting for something good to happen. I don't consider Eva's rescue from said kidnapper to be exciting because the big bad is Dimitri and they did very little in their quest to take him down. I feel like the trilogy should have been a duet, with slightly more pages. I will finish the series because there is only one book left and I don't like leaving things unfinished. I hope that the kidnapper will realize that he is after the wrong woman and he will stop been brought up every 5 seconds. I was not satisfied with this book.

I had a feeling it would be a another cliffy for third book. But darn it's a good one. I need to see what happens next soon pls.

But it took an unexpected turn quite early on. We were introduced to Killian (I want a book about him), who had an important role in this book. I really can't say much without spoilers but this one is a must-read. And for people who hate being left hanging, WAIT or you will have sleepless nights after that ending!Eva walked on the boat knowing she was going back to the hell that was life with Dimitri, to protect Naz. Like in the first book, she was strong and sassy but unafraid to show vulnerability.Naz was the perfect alpha male. He wanted to keep Eva away from all harm but he respected her opinions and choices. He listened to her and understood her desire to be part of the plans.I loved their banter <3 <3“You’ve got a really peculiar face. What’s the name for this hideous condition of yours?”I think for a moment. “Awesome. . . intelligent . . . itis?”This book will make you feel, and that is a feat. The writing is almost like poetry. Naz and his words.. What Eva and Naz felt about each other was conveyed so clearly, it was magical. It made me so happy just reading about them.I didn't want to keep the book down. The twists just kept on coming and I was blown away. I can't wait for the last book, which I know is going to be awesome, to read about the conclusion of Naz and Eva's story.

However, Eva wasn't taken by Dimitri's henchmen. She was abducted by a dark, sexy and mysterious spy who happens to want something from Dimitri. Pacing & Points of ViewThis story was a fast read for me like most romance novels. There was just enough action, drama and banter in between the romance scenes to keep me reading! There were only two points of view, Eva and Naz, and I loved hearing from both of their personalities. CharactersI really love Eva's character. She's resilient and strong willed without being arrogant and I love her for it! Her chemistry with Naz is still so good to read. Naz is a total alpha male, but I really loved how Eva calls him out on it when it's too much. She doesn't let him get away with it and brought certain characteristics up including overprotectiveness that were clearly going to cause problems. I liked seeing more insights into Eva's past and more about Naz's personality. My favorite parts were honestly towards the end between Naz and a new character Killian. The love/hate relationship there was entirely too much fun to read! I think I could listen to them banter for days. They feel like darker and lighter versions of the same character. I could see them as friends if they wouldn't hate each other so much, but then I'd miss all the sarcasm! OverallOverall, I loved the chemistry between the three main characters in this sequel. I truly can't wait until the third book comes out to see how it all ends! I'm honestly hoping a certain character might get a spinoff series. I definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a steamy romance, characters with dark pasts, and cliffhangers!I feel ridiculously lucky that I was granted an advanced NetGalley copy of this book.
