The Locker Room
Have you heard the rumor around campus about the locker room?If you haven't, let me enlighten you: Legend has it if you bring a girl into the sacred after-game domain of the baseball locker room, it will end with a walk down the aisle. One rowdy and naked encounter against the lockers with the girl of your dreams will make her your wife. Translation: baseball players are stupidly superstitious and believe the locker room has magical powers. But not all baseball players are superstitious, me included. So when the girl I've fallen for brushes me off, I start to question if I need to switch my way of thinking. Maybe it's time I finally hand out a coveted invitation to the locker room. The only question is, will she accept?

Meghan Quinn I forgot how quickly you steal my heart with your books. I fell head first into this read, my god I loved it. I loved the connection between Knox & Emory, their banter making me smile, swoon, and laugh out loud. My emotions were running high and wild reading this one. This author has flawless writing down. Every book, so good. I was sucked into this read from the first page. How Emory came to meet Knox, to their chance encounters, to their easy flowing relationship. And of course their bet. The build of friendship first, how much these two characters grew to love wholehearted, each other. The foreplay literally lighting the pages on fire. The way this book flowed was perfect, until it hit the 75% mark and my heart crashed. Like literally. And it kept crashing for ten percent more. I’ll be honest, I LOVED THIS BOOK, but I hate the separation. HOWEVER, the ending, I know was perfect because of that separation. So, again thank you Meghan for making me add another hot ass boyfriend to my list😘😘😘😘You sport romance lovers, second chance at love, and you swooners, don’t let this one pass by. And I am hoping, and begging for more to this little group🙏🏻♥️🙏🏻

About halfway through I was feeling the build up of anxiety because I didn't know what was going to happen. Then I hit 75% and I started CRYING. WHY THE HELL AM I CRYING!?!? Because Meghan has brought to life a REALISTIC portrayal of a relationship where both parties want their love to survive yet don't want to mess up the potential for GREATNESS in the future. Gosh, the selflessness and heartbreak turned me into a puddle of tears. I wanted to slap some characters, hug them, cheer them on, and so much more. Then we get to the ending . I had NO CLUE where Meghan was taking it. Could have been in a place I would never have wanted to venture. But she didn't take me to a dark place like I feared. She took me to a swoony place that gave me the EPIC FEELS and turned my heart into mush! MUSH I TELL YOU!!!! What an incredible, original, heartfelt, sweet, dynamic, and SWOONY read this one is. I laughed, shed tears, and then laughed some more. I may even have given my iPad a big hug when I finished (shh, don't tell anyone). It was SO GOOD . The Locker Room is nothing I expected but EVERYTHING I was craving in a new adult, college romance with HUMOR. Meghan's trademark style shines through the novel. The hero, Knox, is one of the sweetest, kindest, and amazing heroes I have met and he stole my heart. Thank goodness he's a fictional character because the cat fights that would ensue among us ladies would be BAD. Like, very very bad. I am talking scratch the eyes out, hair pulling bad! And Emory? She's such a gentle soul. Thinks low of herself but so highly of others. I actually saw a little of me in her which is why I connected with her so fast. Meghan truly wrote the hell out of these characters and if I could scoop them up and keep them for myself I would! They are EPIC. If you are in the mood for an original romance, one that takes place in college and revolves around baseball then you will WANT Knox Gentry and Emory in your lives. The Locker Room is a 5+ star read for me and will forever be a favorite by Meghan! I adored this book. I hope some of the secondary characters get their story... I would LOVE to see them again!

Left and right I was hit with so many funny moments, but it wasn’t all sunshine. Oh no, just when I thought I knew what was happening, BAM, Meghan hit me with the unexpected. I honestly had no idea at that turn the story would go, but I understood why it had to happen even though it made me want to punch a wall. It’s all good though, I promise.Knox Gentry owned me! My freaking gosh he is EVERYTHING! He’s so lovable and take it from me, you will fall just as hard for him. When an accidental encounter occurs and his eyes land on her, he’s a goner. He’s persistent in his pursue of Emory, but in the best way. He’s so impossible to resist and as much as Emory tries to fight him and his charm, she doesn’t stand a chance. After breaking up with her long-term boyfriend, Emory decides to transfer to a different school and move on. She wants to try and regain the person she used to be before she was in relationship. So that means focusing on school and her future. These two were the epitome of cuteness overload. They were so adorable, I can’t. I loved their friendship so much and I loved how their relationship progressed throughout the book. Meghan Quinn outdid herself and she once again gave me a couple in Knox and Emory that I couldn’t help but love. And it’s no surprise Knox and Emory quickly became a favorite of mine. Yet another book by Meghan that has been added to my favorites list.MUST READ!*I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book*

WOW this book!! I couldn’t put it down, and just stared at my kindle for minutes after finishing, in shock with what I just read. I felt ALL the feelings. It broke my heart and put it back together again. I feel like I’ve just run a marathon. This book is a journey, and an incredible love story. The blurb doesn’t really give you much information about what the book entails. But, it’s a sports romance, set in college. It also becomes another trope later in the book, but I won’t spoil that. This later trope is very unexpected, and truly unusual when paired with the other tropes present. I can’t think of another book I’ve read that paired these so incredibly well. I felt like these characters were part of my real life; I loved them so much! Emory has been burned from a previous relationship, so she’s cautious and hard to get. Knox, on the other hand, was the perfect book boyfriend! I had all the heart eyes for him. He was patient, driven, romantic, and a mama’s boy! He was in it for the long haul, and he really wooed Emory and broke her walls down. They were so wonderful together. Their banter was so dang good! And I laughed so hard at the argument about Pride and Prejudice! I really enjoyed both Knox and Emory’s friendships. I do hope we get some books on some of those characters. I can’t say enough good things about this book. It’s refreshing and different, and exactly what I needed. I LOVED it, and if you didn’t already guess, I highly recommend it! * I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Knox and Emory are both amazing lead characters, and the witty banter between them is life. This book just made me happy reading their sass. Knox is just plain swoony and I loved how patient and honest he was with Em. That said, Em is pretty honest and straightforward with Knox too, and so their relationship just works perfectly. It was everything I desired from a college + sports romance: a cute relationship, super funny characters, all the feels and a really good chemistry (even though this one is kind of a slow burn).I devoured this book and boy had I missed that feeling. Meghan's words reeled me in as soon as I started it and she got me laughing out loud soon after too. There were so many funny moments that had me laughing left and right. But this story is not just sunshine and rainbows ... although for the most part it's Knox trying to get the girl to hang out with him on a more than friends level and that's incredibly fun and entertaining to read, things do get eavy with Emory's past and the reason she's so reluctant to go out with Knox and jump into a new relationship. Knox is just so lovable and trust me you'll fall at his feet. He is also impossible to resist and persistent in the best way, as much as Emery tries to fight him, he ends up catching her heart real fast. These two are impossibly cute together and the bond they create, first building up a friendship and slowly progressing to more, is beautiful. I honestly swooned so much over these two. They take things slow, even when they start dating and it's very refreshing and so fun (you'll see why) but that doesn't mean they don't get their rocks on, they sure find some hot and fun ways to work out their sexual frustration. It's pretty steamy between them. But we all know the typical issues that come up in college sport romances' relationships right? Well this one so surprised me because I just didn't see it coming and it kind of shook me. Not that it was something different but I just literally hadn't been expecting the story or their relationship to take that turn, specially not when things were starting to get so darn perfect. I guess I wasn't expecting the other shoe to drop like I should have. So yeah... our beautiful sweet couple is separated for a couple years (Yup, you read that right) and when they find each other again, all the feelings are still there, the good and the bad, almost as if it all had happened just the day before. It was pretty crazy to see these two characters see each other after so many years and how they reacted to seeing each other after so long. It was pretty crazy and beautiful nevertheless. These two were truly meant to be and I'm happy that even after so long, they both still loved each other as much as before and were able to forgive and move on, together. I just have to point out that this part of the story felt super rushed, I think I needed a little more and they deserved it too after being apart for so long. That's the only reason why I'm not giving this book a full 5 stars. Because I seriously loved this book and couple with all my heart.➳ARC kindly provided by author, in exchange for an honest review.➳ Order at: Amazon UK ⁕ Amazon US ➳ Follow me on: Blog ⁕ Instagram ⁕ Facebook ⁕ Twitter

But sometimes, promises were made to be broken.”“It was like I’d been holding my breath for eight years, and I finally let it out.”The Locker Room by Meghan Quinn is by far and away one of my favorite romantic comedies/sports romances of 2019. This book completely exceeded my expectations and took my heart on the most incredible journey. From the moment I picked up The Locker Room, I was instantly sucked in. I was immediately drawn to Emory and couldn’t wait to see her story unfold. When we first meet up with Emory, she’s in desperate need of a fresh start. Her focus is on her friends and her studies and she isn’t about to let anyone get close to her heart. All that immediately flies out the window when she crashes into Knox. Knox is a force to be reckoned with. He’s like sunshine on a cloudy day. Everyone and everything just gravitates towards him and when his sights get set on Emory, all bets are off. There is just something about her and Knox can’t help but want to know more. Emory’s not going to make it easy, but Knox is in for the long haul and is ready to pull out all the stops. Will Emory fall for Knox’s charms and break down her walls??? There’s only one way to find out…..Man, oh, Man! I just loved The Locker Room. This book was not at all what I expected. I totally didn’t see Knox and Emory’s story coming and I just loved every single second of it. The writing was flawless and the plot was a ton of fun. The characters were real, flawed and easy to relate to. Knox was ridiculously charming and you just couldn’t help but be in a good mood when he was around. And while Emory might seem reserved, she had a great sass to her and gave it to Knox just as good as he dished it out. I loved watching these two together and seeing their friendship develop. Their banter was electric and consuming. I couldn’t get enough of the two of them. One minute they had me laughing my butt off and then the very next, the sexual tension was just oozing off of the pages. They had the most incredible slow burn that made all of those will they/won’t they moments so worth it. Seriously, I just loved getting lost in these two. Now, the road to happily ever after for these two is not an easy one. There are lots of good times, but heartbreaking ones too. I’m not kidding when I tell you that Knox and Emory put my heart through the wringer. I felt each emotion right along with these characters. Some of their actions broke my heart and made me rage. I knew why certain things had to happen, but that didn’t make it any easier. But, for a girl who loves herself some angst, I obviously couldn’t get enough. From the heartache to the misunderstandings to the weak moments and ones that make you swoon. Emory and Knox were so perfectly matched and I couldn’t help but root for these two to figure things out and fight for their happily ever after. The Locker Room is a second chance, romantic comedy, sports romance all wrapped up in a terrific read. I loved every single minute of this story from beginning to end. I loved all the main and secondary characters. I loved getting wrapped up in Emory & Knox’s romance. I lived for the moments that had me laughing so hard my sides hurt and then those moments that just tugged at my heart. Simply put, I LOVED this book!!*I was provided an ARC copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review*

He is a total momma's boy, sweet, chivalrous, with wicked banter and two awesome friends in Carson and Holt. He provides so many swoon worthy moments and is relentless in his perusal of the heroine Emory.Emory is a girl who loves her quiet life, wants to be a librarian and has recently transferred schools to focus on achieving that. After ending a 6 year relationship with a total douche bag she catches the attention of Knox Gentry in a rather unconventional way. Following this, the two grow a beautiful friendship that begins to develop into more. The locker room starts off with a pure Meghan esk prologue that had me laughing out loud. The perfect start to an endearing friendship between Hero and heroine. One thing that Meghan always achieves is an excellent level of wit and banter between characters. Her female leads always have quick thinking and are not afraid to give a tongue lashing of humiliation which I adore in a heroine and Emory certainly holds that quality.A slow burn romance is the order of the day here; however Megahn always has a dry hump scene as her signature element to her books. Now she did warn me that this was her best dry hump scene yet and Holy Forks was she right, that scene is all kinds of hotness!!!!! You don't miss the actual act when you have that kind of moment to read about I guarantee you. A story full of friendship, chemistry, humour and heartbreak this book has it all. Following on from one scene that brought tears to my eyes, was a chapter of text messages that brought all the feels of how things were playing out at that moment in time. A simple display of communication but incredibly effective with just a few words at a time. A piece of genius at the perfect moment in the book for me and a stand out element. Another hit out of the park from Meghan in my eyes, The Locker Room adds another notch to Meghan's bedpost of sports romance.

I was hooked from beginning to end, and couldn’t have loved Knox and Emory’s story more. This story was about letting go past demons, letting go of all heartache and pain, living life and thriving for a better future. It was about finding a love you didn't even know existed, let alone a love you weren't even looking for at the time.I loved the bond Knox and Emory had, the chemistry and the way they bounced perfectly off each other. They were two different kinds of people, yet together they are perfect. The push and pull between these two was insanely addictive, and the friendship created between the two was amazing. The hilarious banter and the chemistry between Knox and Emory is a hit out of the ballpark. The humour in this book is fantastic, there are so many scenes that are one of a kind. The banter between the characters is right up there with the best I’ve ever read and just generally the book just screams fun!The Locker Room is all fun and laughter, until the final chapters. That is where we get a little dose of angst. I want to give a round of applause to Meghan Quinn for adding that little twist in the novel, my heart however, took a battering! This moment only made the ending that much more epic. I love a true happily ever after, and Meghan delivered big time! Meghan Quinn has crafted a wonderfully written and absolutely captivating read. I went in blind with this novel, and I came away with something different to what I was expecting. Not in a bad way, no - not at all, this book was deeper than I anticipated. Knox Gantry is the up and rising Shortstop for his college team. He is on the cards to be in the first draft into the majors. Life is going to plan for him, until he meets his match with Emory Ealson. She is reeling from a bad break up with her high school boyfriend so when Knox turns on his charm, she finds it extremely hard to resist. What happens next leads down a path that neither of us, me included, was expecting. Things you need to know about Knox..... he is that perfect college boyfriend. He is attentive and dedicated and faithful. He is also immensely good looking. Like can’t look away from the bright light, good looking. What I loved the most though was his banter. He gave as good as he got from Em, and she was super sassy. She also had a vulnerability that I could relate to. Sometimes her confidence was in abundance and other times she questioned her own judgement. She was a smart woman with her heart on her sleeve that at times made her very emotional. That is me to a T, so I thought she was outstanding. Batter up readers! You need to get to know Knox and Emory too.

He’s been training his entire life for it and is now poised to be drafted once he finishes his junior year in college. So far he has everything he’s ever wanted, great friends, a loving mother, supporting teammates except the girl who smacked him in the face with a campus map and stole his heart. He loves challenges, but can he convince the guarded transfer student to give him a chance?Emory Ealson transferred from California because a broken heart necessitated a fresh start. Determined to focus on her career, the last thing she’s looking for is a relationship, but resisting the magnetism of Knox Gentry is impossible. Deciding to give him a chance but also taking baby steps, they embark on a friendship that will face happiness as well as hardships. Can these two find a way around the curveballs life will throw at them?Meghan Quinn knows how to write book boyfriends. Know Gentry is my favorite book boyfriend of the year so far. He’s absolutely perfect. He’s sweet and sexy, thoughtful and determined. He’s charismatic and fun. And gorgeous with a brilliant sports career ahead of him to boot. The way he woos Emory will sweep you off your feet. Even Emory’s thick concrete walls couldn’t resist his easy charm. And while Emory was his perfect match and every one of their friends was cheering for them along (I loved all the secondary characters by the way, I hope we get a book for each), she hit on one of my pet peeves, she took away Knox’s choice about their relationship and decided their future for both of them. The beginning of their story was a lovely, smile inducing, slow burn, I just couldn’t stop reading about these two. Yet their second chance at love felt a bit rushed and would have benefitted from a bit more fleshing out. All in all, this was another hit by Meghan Quinn. The Locker Room is a standalone contemporary romance by Meghan Quinn. It is a second chance sports romance, told from both points of view with a happy ending.Amazon -> https://amzn.to/2RixcTGMy super quick review/recap:➵ Cover: 5 ➵ Hero: 5++➵ Heroine: 3.5➵ Sexiness: 4➵ Feels: 5➵ Plot: 4➵ Overall rating: 4.4* I was given an ARC of this book courtesy of the author. I could not get enough of Knox Gentry y'all... He was one fine specimen which equates to the perfect book boyfriend #sigh. From page one this book consumed me and I laughed my butt off throughout its entirety. I adored Emory's quirky, sarcastic, and sassy side. Wronged by the man she spent six years with, Emory is very guarded. However, meeting Knox changes her for the better and reading through the pages you really get to witness this. Starting off as friends, Emory and Knox's relationship grows with time. Their chemistry is off the charts, their banter will make you swoon, and just when you think all is dandy–Meghan goes and hits you right in the FEELS! My mind was reeling "what's happening!?" But this turning point was necessary for any further development of their relationship. “Not a problem, but you could have asked for help if you were lost. Slapping me with a map is an aggressive tactic, effective, but aggressive.” The Locker Room was addicting in the best kind of way! With loveable secondary characters this book was such a breath of fresh air! I'm now hoping some of them get their very own books. So, if you love swoony, funny, and sexy college romance books with that added bonus of sports threw in the mix, then trust me, this one is just for you!! *** Edits used in review were taken from the author's Facebook page. ****AN ARC WAS KINDLY PROVIDED IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW.*

I thought it was an enjoyable enough read but there was just nothing special about it except for the sexy and charismatic Hero, Knox Gentry. The relationship between Knox and Emory seemed to be developing at a snail's pace. Emory was too stubborn and unwilling to give Knox a chance for far too long. Then finally, things start to get serious between them and I’m floating on a cloud of happiness. My happiness was short lived because Meghan Quinn goes and slaps me so hard across the face with some astronomically painful angst. I swear I yelled out loud at Meghan for the torture she inflicted upon my weak heart for the last 30% of the story!! Call me a glutton for punishment, but that painful angst skyrocketed this book to ”FIVE STAR” worthy status!!I am so in love with Knox Gentry!! He is now one of my most beloved Meghan Quinn Heroes! Emory is going down as my least favorite Heroine. I can’t forgive her for what she put poor Knox through. 5 "traumatizing the patrons and staff at the dealership" stars (I will explain soon. )So Meghan Quinn did a thing. Many things I learned (yet again...but clearly never actually learned because I'm having this "discussion") post reading The Locker Room...1. Do not read The Locker Room in a public place.1. A. Do not read it in a public place where: people know your name, see you regularly, or know you as a small business owner (more on the odd reasoning soon).2. When trying to be stealthy about reading in public, do NOT isolate yourself. It makes it far more obvious that you are crazy. With other people around, you have reasonable doubt.3. People will be oddly disturbed by your muttered reiteration of random lines... "freak tendencies"3.A. Especially when random utterances are either proceeded by laughing out loud or followed by laughing like the Joker. #truestory3.B. Random guffaw and utterances tend to isolate you more as others abandon your corner of crazy...4. As you fall down the rabbit hole that is the swoon worthy, Mr.Darcy usurping Knox Gentry you will be making up new words adding "posal" as though others will acknowledge your genius...Meghan still hasn't gotten back to me. 4.A. Said made up words will take over your mind, cause you to "flashback" to the hilarity, swoony, or other "y" that caused said new word and cause utterances/random guffaws/snorts.5. You will look like you are on furlough from the psych ward! Now, I know you're shaking your head. You're thinking to yourself but Becky...not me. Trust me! I was getting legit crazy eyes from other patrons and staff at the dealership while waiting for my truck to get done. I hid in alcove because I was reading and didn't want to be disturbed. My previous Meghan Quinn experiences must have some how faded in my mind because I thought today was the perfect 6 hour window to tackle The Locker Room. Just no! Do yourself, and my dwindling pride a favor, do not read in public unless it's a judgement free zone. I laughed my ass off, muttered like the furlough was ending, and burst into seemingly random giggles. I swooned. I swooned hard. I replaced Mr. DARCY swooned hard. Knox Gentry is EVERYTHING you even wanted in a book boyfriend, mate, spouse, SO. EVERYTHING! And a bag of chips! All that awesomeness needs a release...so I cried too. I know you aren't impressed. The dealership staff wasn't either but they didn't understand that your heart can break reading a book. You can. You understand that words have feelings. Words have power. They evoke strong reactions, create friendships, and build amazing worlds. Meghan Quinn may only have taken me to Chicago but she stole a piece of my ever expanding heart by introducing me to Knox Gentry and I refuse to give him back.So for those who want to see what Knox is like he will be on loan soon. For all those hos who think they have ownership of my man....in your dreams!Reviewed for Sweet Spot SisterhoodP.S. I actually have to bring a different vehicle to the dealership again tomorrow and Thursday. I guess we will see how they react! 😜

I liked that she had a hard time getting over her past relationship as I felt that it was very realistic. They had been together for a long time and he totally messed with her head. I also liked that she made Knox really work for it, it shows that she knew her worth and she had a good enough head on her shoulders to know when she wasn't ready. I really loved that about her. The only time I didn't like her was at the end. I feel like she oddly became immature. I was really surprised because she had seemed like she was on such an upswing so for her personality to almost fall all the way back down felt wrong, I guess? I didn't totally love that. The last 15% of the book was pretty good, but I felt like I needed more. I could almost say a duet was in order, but MQ writes some epic angst in her duets that murder my heart and I can't go through that again. I refuse to look a gift horse in the mouth! ;) That being said, the book as a whole was really well written and thought out. The story flowed really well and it had all the usual MQ flair we all know and love.Overall, I HIGHLY recommend this book. I can’t stop thinking about it, I read it in one sitting and now I want to go back and reread it again! Emory and Knox from the get go have the cutest meet cute ever! They’re instantly smitten with each other but because of a past relationship Emory is hesitant. The way that Knox goes about trying to break down Emory’s walls is pure genius and the cutest way ever. Once he’s won her over it’s pure bliss and they get everything they’re ever wanted... well almost. They’ll find out what stops the almost from happening! Once their world win is in full bloom they’re hit with the reality of Knox’s dream and future. Doing a selfless thing in the long run leaves them both heartbroken. When they see each other again the love that they shared is still there and burning like a forest fire. One taste is all it takes for them to come together again because a love like theirs is a once in the life love, one that you take a girl to the locker kind of love to seal the deal! I loved how Knox wasn’t afraid of his emotions, as soon as he met Emory he was all in. Emory seems like a shy girl but the shy ones are the ones you should keep an eye one because she can do to battle with the best of them with her wit and charm. The secondary characters in their story are perfect, from Emory’s best friends Dottie and Lindsay to Knox’s best friends Carson and Holt to his team mates to both their parents and even Knox’s coach and Emory’s boss. Everyone played a huge part in their story and helped to get them to their happily ever after. If anyone says that college love doesn’t last I would love them to read Emory and Knox’s story because they were meant for each other from the first boob grab! With every book that Meghan Quinn writes I’m left in awe. Mrs. Quinn knows how to bring a story to life, make you so invested that you’re laughing out loud, stressing out over tense moments, and crying during heartbreak and happily ever afters. You’re heart will feel EVERYTHING when going into The Locker Room. 5 stars isn’t enough for this story, it deserves 10 stars!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️* ARC received in exchange for an honest review *
