There were a lot of times I wanted to shake him, I was screaming 'why' at my screen whenever his actions pissed me off and it happened plenty of times. But, thankfully, there were more sides to him other than the playboy rock star image he was giving the world in the show. And I loved his other sides too much to actually hate the guy. My most favorite was a Dax in love - I felt so much for him for struggling with loving someone he shouldn't and couldn't have but I did love watching him love her and be all sentimental and sweet towards her. It definitely got my poor love addict heart going.I LOVED the idea of the reality show, it was so fun and interesting and unlike anything I've read before. I loved it a lot, even though most of the things I hated about Dax happened on that show. It was a bit messed up but what reality tv show isn't? So you did great, Lisa. It was such an epic book, it kind of felt like I was watching the bachelor or bachelor pad sometimes. If you're looking for an entertaining, romantic and epic rock star romance, look no further cuz this is the book for you! Oh and guess who makes an appearance..... VAIL! I died. I had missed my boys. Mark and Reese help Dax get the girl and it's so cute and romantic. I loved it all. And all of them.➳ARC kindly provided by author, in exchange for an honest review.➳ Follow me on: Blog ⁕ Instagram ⁕ Facebook ⁕ Twitter

I liked the reality show aspect to it. And even though I questioned and cringed at some of Dax's actions, in my eyes I think he redeemed himself.

This was such a fun read! I don’t read a lot of rock star romances, but this one was great. I loved the story line, and it kept me entertained through the whole book. It has some twists and turns and some definite LOL moments!

This story is told mostly in his POV and i loved getting to know his good and bad points. Beneath that cocky confident Exterior there is a sweet, caring sensitive man!! Although he has strong feelings for Kylie but knows that being with her isn't possible and she doesn't reciprocate his feelings, he decides to give the gorgeous women on the show a chance. Who knows he just might find love.. right? This author definitely gives us characters we just don't want to let go, and writes in a way that leaves you no choice but let them take residence in your heart. I both loved and Loathed Dax, The typical playboy rockstar, isn't gonna turn down the opportunity of sex with gorgeous women and he really doesn't mind that his antics are being filmed. I couldn't put this book down, with his antics and attempts at trying to fight his feelings for the one woman he shouldn't want, and due to his actions there were also many times i wanted to slap him even though he was also making me smile. I'm definitely in lust with this whole band and hope we get more of them all. Definitely not your typical Rock Star, and i loved this different and fresh approach !!!

This was my first Lisa Suzanne book. I enjoyed Dax and Kylie's story. Dax is a rock star, and Kylie is their PR/manager. Just because of the fact of him needing to screw anything and everything....UGH....So, in order to get good press for the band, Kylie gets him a gig on a bachelor type show, finding love. He creates a mess on the show, he sees a disappointed Kylie, and vows to himself not to disappoint her again. He figures out his feelings, his inner battles, tries to push her out of his mind because he thinks feelings are reciprocated. I don't want to say too much BUT his confession....so freakin sweeet.......He made up for being a douche before....It was a fun romance story. It was fun seeing what happens behind the scenes of a show...This story isn't your typical rock star romance. It brings in a different setting, good seeing such a good group of band members who are really each other's family. Enjoyed it.

Love is the last thing that he is looking for, but he agrees because he feels that it would be good publicity for the band. Not to mention, he has never been able to say no to Kylie. Now I wasn't real sure how I felt about Dax at first. More times than not, I found him to be very frustrating, but there was more to him that meets the eye. As he goes on these different dates for the show, his thoughts always lead back to Kylie. He just can't seem to shake her from his mind, and ultimately discovers that deep down, he's in love with her. Unfortunately for him, she's off limits due to a no bang oath that he made with his bandmates. Will he be able to stay away from her or will the two of them end up together?Thank you Lisa for this amazing story! You've outdone yourself once again. This is definitely not a book to be missed. It really captures your attention from the first page to the last with the hot chemistry and great character development.

Especially when I turn around and he has me feeling sorry for him. One disappointment I had was that I couldn’t listen to his band play as I read. Not sure playing one of my all time favorite bands, Queen, in the background will have me thinking about MFB. A playlist is mentioned but it’s part of a scene. So I would say to think about what you can imagine the type of music his group might play and then create a playlist around that.I liked how the author mashed up some reality shows to add a little spice to Dax’s life. It gave me a few chuckle moments. I loved seeing him squirm – doesn’t take much to make me happy. Our author waits to get her readers involved with her reality show before she starts having him even begin to think of love or that elusive happily every after. She stars out by including pictures and information about some of the extras. It was a great way to get us involved – just like the television show. Full disclosure, I hate that show – always have. But by starting it later in the story was good for me. If you’re of the same mind as me it may be for you too.The author leaves us guessing as to what Dax’s present and future holds. On the opposite end, she gives me the sense of how everything seems staged – which is what I felt about the actual show. I liked how she didn’t give him a big personality because as you get to know him that just wouldn’t seem to fit. You may have noticed that I didn’t mention a love interest. In the spirit of the reality show I’m not going to mention a name. Just like The Bachelor you will have to watch to see how things turn out after the show is over.I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

Gotta say love the band name and very clever (both I might add)!MFB the Band instated a No Bang Oath after Kylie the band manager was hired. They needed her as their band manager, so the rule was put in place as to not ruin their relationship with her professionally. There are other girls cause let’s face it you’re in a band and girls are more than willing to rock your world for the night in any city you are in. Some never grow out of the rock star life and others after awhile it gets old. Case in point with Dax. He had his heart broke a time or two and wasn’t looking for love, but he also was tired of the rock star life from a sexual point only. To help curb his image and band exposure, Kylie gets him onto a reality TV show to find him love. Mmm, good choice or bad choice? I’ll let you frame your opinion on the matter when you read the book. The publicity for the band on the reality was a good choice, the girls, that is to still be determined. Yikes, there were a few times I gripped that device real hard with events that transpired! Dax is feeling some of the girls, but in the back of his mind he knows his feelings Kylie are getting harder to hide. Does he choose the girl from Reality TV or does he get the band to nix the No Bang Oath and explore his feelings with Kylie hoping that if it doesn’t work out, she remains the band manager? Well, lips are sealed! You will love and hate Dax at times, but you will fall in love with the band mates and this story. I look forward to more on MFB and hope that we get more of them in future books or in this spin-off series.

Not Just Another Rock Star Romance brought out such fierce and strong emotions out of me, it kinda caught me off guard. I loved the fact that I had no idea where the story was taking me. Or the complete mystery on who this badass rock star, Dax Hunter, was going to end up with. “When you’ve had enough of the wrong women, you just know when the right one comes along.” To be honest, I wasn’t a huge fan of Dax in the beginning. He didn’t hold anything back—he did anything and everything he wanted to, regardless of how anyone else around him would feel. But he’s also the type of hero you warm up to the more you get to know him. The more you understand his ways. The moment he started to open up and his vulnerable side showed, the moment reality smacked him in the face and he began to see things for what they truly were… he just won me over. He made me see the real Dax hiding deep inside, behind that big rock star persona. And he was damn near irresistible. It only goes to show that, people can and do change when they want to. But it has to come from within, and that’s exactly what happened with this particular rock star. I feel like she was put on this Earth just so I could find the other half of my heart. The concept of Dax being on a dating reality tv show was beyond intriguing and interesting—it had me HOOKED. The whole time, I truly felt like I was watching every scene play out in my mind’s eye and I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. The anticipation on what will happen next was just that intense. If you’re into rock star romances and want to be fully entertained… If you like books with characters being in a reality tv show… definitely check this one out! Reality shows fascinate me because they are only loosely based on reality, but ignite a lot of drama, behind the scenes backstabbing and ulterior motives where no one can be trusted. And while none of this appeals to Dax, especially the part about finding love, he agrees to do it for the band. And Dax being the musician and player that he is already has a reputation. What is interesting about him is that despite how he acts on the outside, he is a good guy at heart who cares about other people and is vulnerable, but he makes mistakes, too. I liked how he already had chemistry with one woman, and then he genuinely tried to get to know the contestants on the show and give them a fair chance, too. He put the band's best interests first, but he also needed to have his fun, too. Since it was already obvious that Dax had a connection with a certain someone, the direction of the story flowed well even with the obstacles of the reality show because Dax actually grew as a person from that experience and came out on the other side wiser and willing to take the plunge with love again. I'm happy with whom he wound up with and I also enjoyed the cameo by some of Lisa Suzanne's other beloved musician characters.

Especially when he starts to think with his heart instead of his d**k... Lol. Sorry. It was actually nice to read how much he grows throughout the story and we see different sides to his character, his struggles and his sensitive sweet side. Realising that the woman he actually wants is Kylie, someone he thinks he cannot have because she is the bands manager. But we always want what we can't have don't we.,so what will he do.. You need to read this book that what you all need to do.. This is such a fun filled entertaining book, I was completely intrigued and transfixed by it, so cleverly written with so much romance and heart between all the reality T. V Shenanigans. I Loved it, a memorable and spectacular read I highly recommend it.

This was such a phenomenal read! I love Lisa Suzanne's work and her rock star romances are so amazing. Not Just Another Rock Star Romance is fun, unique with an imaginative twist to your typical rock star story. I absolutely loved watching him fall completely in love with her and be sentimental and lovely towards her.I particularly adored seeing Mark and Reese in this book (one of my favourite book couples ever) and I always appreciate their helpfulness and guidance. Y'all! I know I say this every time, but seriously, if you haven't read a Lisa Suzanne book before, you NEED to! I love every single one! This time around, we are following Dax as he and his band are doing everything they can to "make it". The opportunity arises that Dax can go on a dating reality show, and he is offered quite a bit of money. Obviously, to help his band, this is something he has to do, but while there, he realizes that his heart belongs elsewhere.WOW. While Dax is a rockstar, we Y'all! While Dax is a rockstar, we don't get the usual tour like we have in the other rock star series. We get some of that, sure, but mostly we get the behind the scenes, ins and outs of the reality show. It was so interesting to see the other side, and I honestly look at reality shows differently now lol. I loved the setup, though, and it was so perfect for Dax's story. The plot of NJARSR keeps you going the whole time. Is he going to be on the show, get voted off, who will he choose, what will he do about Kylie, etc. I devoured this book in literally one sitting because I needed those answers. I love how well thought out this was and the plot points flow seamlessly. The characters are wonderfully developed and they keep growing throughout the story. I loved seeing where they came from and where they ended, and all the failures and successes in between, because yes, there were definite failures to get to the end. We also get to see some beloved characters from Suzanne's other series as VAIL makes their appearance. AHHH it was literally perfect. I would highly recommend if you love romance!!*Thank you to the author who gifted me a copy of this book! All thoughts and opinions are 100% my own!*

Another slam dunk for me by Lisa Suzanne. I haven't read Not Just Another Romance yet thus I hadn't read about Dax and how all his past heartache came about but didn't feel like I was lost in any way (although NOW I need to go back and read it "Toute suite"). To say that I wasn't really sure how I felt about Dax at first would be an understatement. Was he JUST your regular rock star aiming to get as much sexy time as he could no matter who it was with? Did hanging with his boys supersede any possible relationship he would have? WHY was he so skittish about relationships? Did he just want Kylie because he couldn't or shouldn't have her? Or was there more depth to the man than we could even see? Dax is ready to hit the road with one of the biggest bands in the world -- our very own VAIL -- and he can see his future as women, music and not much else. A stint on a reality show has the potential to bring him love or paint him as a loser in love. Did the show finally give him what he has always wanted? Someone to love him for himself? Watching Dax finally grow up becomes at times cringeworthy, entertaining and in the end swoonworthy.

It would be financially helpful for their band as well as give them unbelievable publicity. He’s not looking for love but goes on numerous dates with the women on the show and makes some not-so-great decisions (really not-so-great decisions) that have you cringing for what is caught on camera during the filming. If you’ve read and enjoyed other books by Lisa Suzanne, you will not be disappointed. You originally meet Dax in Not Just Another Romance (get the female POV on one of his prior unsuccessful relationships) but you can most definitely read this one without reading the first of the series. I really enjoyed this book (as I have enjoyed all of Lisa’s books) and though, at times, Dax is not a very likeable character, you just want him to figure things out and find his way to successful relationship and love. Will the reality show find him his soul mate? Will he finally admit his feelings for Kylie (with the concern of getting his bandmates mad at him as well as having the potential of ruining their friendship)? Will he finally find his happily ever after? Once you start this book you will not want to put it down! Highly recommend.

Wow I loved this book so much! Dax really is not just another rock star! I mean sure he is crazy hot and the lead singer for the opening band for Vail, oh my heart Mark! His bandmates implement the No Bang Oath when Kylie becomes their manager because she is hot herself but also the best manager they've ever had and they don't want to lose her. So Dax keeps his feelings for her to himself and when she asks him to do a dating reality show for exposure for the band he reluctantly says yes because he just can't say no to Kylie. Dax knows he won't find love because he's been burned in the past and can't seem to get past the hurt. But several of the women surprise him and he learns a lot about himself, mostly that he keeps thinking about Kylie! Dax finds himself involved in a huge scandal on the show and he hates it, but he mostly hates the disappointment he sees in Kylie's eyes. You will delve into this book and not be able to stop the story is just that good. Fall in love with Dax as he finds his own true love!

I wanted to scream at him, laugh at him, slap him across the face, fist bump him and cry for him. What an emotional roller coaster! Not Just Another Rock Star Romance seemed like it would be one type of read and ended completely different than I expected, which made me SOOOOOOO happy!!! It was so fun to read! I loved the characters, the unique story line and the fact that there were essentially two different "lives" playing out at once for Dax. The ending of this read was perfection!I received an ARC of this book from the author, in exchange for an honest review.

DAX DAX DAX!!!! What can I say about Dax?? Let me tell you this... he is your bad boy who had his heart shattered and would never believe in love again. Until...the love that he found for a girl was off limits. Him and his band mates had a “No Bang Oath” when it came to their band manager Kylie, so he had to push those feelings to the side. I’m going to be honest. In the beginning, Dax will make you want to throat punch him. The decisions he makes during the show will drive you crazy and will have you label him as the typical douchebag. Don’t you worry ladies, once Dax finally figures out what he wants you’ll fall in love with him. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that our VAIL boys and Reece make an appearance too!! This book will have you secretly rooting for Dax once you get passed the douchebag and you will not be disappointed. You’ll want more and on that note l NEED MORE!!

This book was so good and interesting. I have loved all the previous books about the Vail band. Dax did some stupid things that he should have thought twice about. I guess because I am not male, I will never understand how their “little man” controls all their thoughts! I was not too crazy about Dax at first. I was glad to see him start to think with his head and his heart after a while. I liked his band mates and how they gave each a hard time but was so close. Kylie, the manager was a great find for the band. I didn’t understand some of the things she did, but I really liked her. It is a great book that I strongly encourage you to read. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book.

3.5 starsThis was my first book by Lisa Suzanne. It was a fun, interesting, and engaging read. I enjoyed the story, but had a hard time connecting with the characters. I felt that many of Dax’s actions belied his true feelings. Even though he had a good heart, I couldn’t find it in me to respect, or even like him that much.Kylie was not featured enough for me to form much of an opinion on her, or connect on anything more than a basic level. She seemed like she was a sweet, intelligent girl, and I would have liked to have seen more of her.Even with my personal thoughts on the characters, I would still recommend this book to those who love the rock star romance genre. The story itself was very good and well written.*I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book.
