Bad to the Crone (A Spell's Angels Mystery, #1)
Scout Randall is more than a witch on a motorcycle. She’s more than the magic she wields. She’s also a woman with a secret past that she can’t remember … a sarcastic wonder who acts before she thinks. The one thing Scout knows with absolute certainty is that she’s got a purpose in life … and that purpose is fighting evil. That’s why she joined the Spell’s Angels, a biker group with offices all across the world. It’s because of the group that she finds herself in northern Lower Michigan, in a place called Hawthorne Hollow, where magic is out in the open and Scout finds her powers are constantly on display. She was transferred to the town because they needed help, although no one will tell her what happened to the woman who held the position before her and she’s constantly distracted by the local denizens, including Gunner Stratton, a shifter with a history he would rather keep to himself. Scout is determined to do her job … even if it means taking on the congregation of a local church with murky origins. It seems the dead are rising in Hawthorne Hollow and it’s up to Scout to figure out why. She’s going to have to learn to trust her new co-workers – and a few random outsiders in the colorful town – on the fly because they’re all going to have to come together to take down an enemy that is strong enough to wipe Hawthorne Hollow off the map. Get ready for adventure, because it’s going to be nonstop from here on out.

Scout Randal is just awesome I love her snarkiness and I have to say I love the Gunner gives back he is a different main guy to other series Amanda has written and I love that. When I finished the book my first thought was 'what a breath of fresh air' now don't get me wrong I adore everything that Amanda writes her books are that entertaining I can never get enough of them but I have to say for the first in a new series Bad to the Crone highly exceeded expectations, I love the premise behind the Scout Randal is just awesome I love her snarkiness and I have to say I love the Gunner gives back he is a different main guy to other series Amanda has written and I love that. I really enjoyed this first book being mainly about Scout and Gunner but I also can't wait to learn more about the rest of the team and also more about Raisin that girl is just gorgeous.I also liked the link up to Hemlock Cove that cross-over will be extremely interesting.

Terrific read but a more sombre approach then some of her other work Outstanding - what a terrific new series. But if you are used to the author's other works then this will feel more sombre and serious. There is still lighthearted humour but within that and the magic there is the thread of child abuse, drug taking and the plight of what children have to deal with in foster care and homes. Although the magic part is also strong - demons, portals, shifters and the like - the balance comes off beautifully. Strong characters that immerse you into the story so well that you see them without trying. She has been assigned to this small remote community. Her arrival is met with some hostility but as a child that has gone through care homes and foster parents by the dozen she's used to it. What she isn't used to is finding a body of a man with no face and being assigned a cabin that hasn't been looked after in years. What her fellow magic villi an fighters aren't used to is her type of magic. She seems to have all the gifts and an immense power source. Add in a crazed church leader, a portal, mummies, an abusive father, a possible meths lab and a handsome shifter for an enthralling read.

Another slam dunk by Amanda LeeAs she says herself, her books are not for everyone. But if you love snark, sarcasm, humor, and love alongside a good dose of witches and magic, she's the author for you. With lighthearted books that always make for an easy read, Ms. Lee is in my short list of authors to re-read and get new releases for. Although the books are fantastical and delightful the characters are more fleshed out than others in this genre and the storylines more grounded and complex. The fix is inAt last. Another book by my now favorite author. Absolutely wonderful characters I would love to live next to or hang out with, and dialog that feels more real than I'm used to from other authors. A delight from the beginning, through the middle, and out the other end. Explanations flow naturally, meaning they don't feel like a lecture on magic or how this world is special or different. This is a fun and smooth flowing story. Don't miss this book; it really delivers.

Bad to the Crone is a hilarious story of badass monster hunters with a kick ass heroine who has a lot to her, more than anyone knows. I loved this story, and I'm going to be impatiently waiting on more now. I can't wait! The heroine gets a new position because she drew the short straw, literally, now she must work in a new town with new people, and things are getting interesting really quickly. This book had action, depth, great characters, snark, and a lot of laughs.

Spells not neededHere's a witch with powers to spare but an unknown past. Sent to a small town where nothing happens...right. Joining a group of thought law keepers on motorcycles who deal with the non human side and the police chief whose son is part of their side. A great beginning with a demon church raising group and plenty of grisly characters to ride along the way. Can't wait for more to come.

I read this book in one sitting because I really wanted to see how it ends.Good news:I love the characters and the setting.Bad news: I am a bit afraid that Scout is so extremely powerful that all plots can basically be ended by her in one big whoop. It seems a bit disproportional, but I lovr Amanda M Lee's books so i am looking forward to the next books in this new series to see where this leads us.

Great startI was excited for a new series and it didn’t disappoint. I love this author and her series. I can’t wait to find out more about Scout. I have a feeling I already know what she is from other series but it’s still going to be fun reading it unfold. This author seems to enjoy guys with long hair, which to me is one step from man bun... but I just skip those parts and picture them with better hair.

AmazingI love everything about this book. I thought they couldn't get better, but I love this storyline and the potential it has... the places she can go with it. I love the characters. I love that there's a mystery on top of the mystery she's looking into. Recommend this. I love the authors brand of humor.

Another great new series! I love that the lead character appears to be an all powerful witch... She is very well designed as all characters Amand M. Lee creates. I didn't feel an instant connection with with series as I have a few others but it was still enjoyable and I'll be reading every book!

This ruptured my funny bone! The Spell’s Angels series is SO my new favorite series! The snark factor was turned way up, and I loved the introduction of the tough-girl motorcycle-rider element. I totally geeked out on this one. Best Amanda M. Lee series to date.

A very promising start to a new series. Of course, there is always a certain similarity between this author's various series, but that's certainly not a bad thing. Looking forward to seeing what comes next.
