Having agreed to work with demigod Kieran Alexis knows her life will never be the same. She can't turn her back on the ghosts that his father has trapped but she worries about putting her two adopted children at risk so her decision is weighing heavily on her. Kieran has vowed to keep her safe and he's followed through on his promises to help Alexis' family and to provide protection for them all but deep down he knows that if his father discovers what they're up to then Kieran might not be power Having agreed to work with demigod Kieran Alexis knows her life will never be the same. She can't turn her back on the ghosts that his father has trapped but she worries about putting her two adopted children at risk so her decision is weighing heavily on her. Kieran has vowed to keep her safe and he's followed through on his promises to help Alexis' family and to provide protection for them all but deep down he knows that if his father discovers what they're up to then Kieran might not be powerful enough to save them all. After loving the first book in this series I was really excited to get my hands on a copy of Sin & Magic and I'm happy to say that the series is just getting better and better. Alexis has spent so much time hiding her magical abilities that she has never really bothered to test out her magic and has no idea what she's really capable of so it was really interesting to see her start to push her boundaries. She is obviously far more powerful than she ever realised but it's a fine line between learning to use her powers and using them so much that she draws unwanted attention to herself so she's got to be really careful testing the waters.I think one of the things I love the most about these books is the bond between Alexis and the two teenagers she basically adopted. There is a lot of love between Alexis, Daisy and Mordecai so while they may rub each other up the wrong way occasionally they always 100% have each other's backs. It's interesting to see how Kieran's Six (the men he trusts the most and has a strong bond with) all interact with Alexis and the kids, they seem to really appreciate the little family and make excuses to spend time with them and I enjoyed the interaction between them all.Of course I also love the developing romance between Alexis and Kieran too, there has been an intense attraction between them since they first met but Alexis is wary so this side of the story hasn't been rushed at all which I appreciate. Kieran is quite surprised by the way he reacts to Alexis and it scares him that he doesn't think he can keep her safe but he's slowly starting to realise that she is powerful in her own right and perhaps working together they could be unstoppable.I'm already looking forward to the next book in the series, I can't wait to see how Kieran's father reacts when he finds out what they've been up to but I have a feeling they're going to be in a whole heap of trouble when he does!

Book 2 pretty much continues on from the first installment. I was laughing from the get go, K.F. Breene has a sarcastic sense of humor that appeals to my inner child and keeps me reading for more. It was harder to invest in the main characters when the secondary characters are screaming for attention lol!I loved both of the main character leads in the first book, but somewhere along the way (2nd book) their characters dropped off the boil. The alpha male isn't supposed to be needy, anxious and unsure of themselves, and I can't stand females who naively think they know it all only to be saved by the male. That was kinda predictable.Bria and Daisy... I liked their characters Daisy more than Bria they are so similar, but Bria became too much and annoyed the hell out of me. I just wanted to slap her.It was a little wishy washy but there were some great moments in the storyline. Looking forward to the next book and would like to read any spin off stories too....hint hint.....3 stars doesn't necessarily mean a terrible read because it wasn't, it just lacked something....

Mixed BagBook 2 sees some nice plot movement and good dialogue with the kids. I think Daisy is my favorite character; she has so much spunk and life. Unfortunately, Lexi continues to disappoint me as the story moves on. In book 2 she seems especially airheaded and I am not a fan of her general cluelessness about everything. The contrast to Keiran, who apparently can figure anything out, is bad. In book 2 she seems especially airheaded and I am not a fan of her general cluelessness about everything. The contrast to Keiran, who apparently can figure anything out, is bad. That message bothers me, because it paints the female as dumb and weak and the male as smart and strong. This is reinforced with the frequent Lexi-needs-to-be-rescued scenes, and the more frequent losing-her-head-because-of-lust scenes, and the Lexi-isn't-smart-enough-to-win-an-argument-with-Keiran scenes. Seriously, the woman just needed to rub some brain cells together and stop being lead around in a leash (and I don't mean just with Keiran). She's certainly easy for everyone around her to manipulate. It's hard to respect her as a character, as a result. For a lot of the book, I was ready to give 2 stars but I endured for the plot and was reward enough to give it 3. My secret hope, though, is that we get a spin-off about Daisy out of this series because such a colorful character is more deserving of center stage.

I always feel like such a stuck record when I review a book by KF Breene but seriously I cannot fault any of her books! GAH! Amazing!Breene has the whole kickass heroine thing down to a T! Take all the sass, snark, humor, and intense passion and purpose from Sin and Chocolate, crank it up 10 notches or so, and you have Sin and Magic. We're really getting into some tricky, twisty plot in book 2. Kieran and Lexi have some high hurdles to jump over, not just to be together, but to save everything. And how you will root for them to succeed!! Mordecai and Daisy manage to worm their way even deeper into your heart. We meet an awesome new Necro and even get to know the 6 better. Different feel than the firstUnfortunately the things I loved in the first book were quite scarce in book 2. I missed the humor. I missed the toughness of the leading lady. This one was much more interested in the relationship between the two lead characters and it kinda fell flat to me. I'm still going to continue to read the series but I hope the leading lady gets a little of her sassyness and strength back.

This is a unique, original series unlike any I've read before. The characters, story line and scenes are developing and written in such detail that it doesn't take a lot of effort to be able to picture it in your head. 😍😊😉🤫🤭 Alexis is still sassy and confident, most of the time, but sometimes she shows her vulnerable side. In the first book, Kieran was shown to be the perfect example of a Demigod; forbidden, sexy, dangerous and full of ego. In book two he is still all of these, but you get a chance to see his softer side as it develops. They are still a match made is Heaven. 👩‍❤️‍💋‍👨👩‍❤️‍💋‍👨👩‍❤️‍💋‍👨👩‍❤️‍💋‍👨👩‍❤️‍💋‍👨I like the kids, sassy, foul-mouthed Daisy and sweet but fierce Mordecai. In book two Mordecai is all healed up and they have both been taken under the wing of The Six, well, all except Zorn, who chose to not join in on training the kids. They are teaching them to fight and protect themselves. Jack is Mordecai's main trainer, but I won't tell you the reason. You have to read to discover that on your own. However, something happens with the training later that was unexpected. I can't wait to see where that goes. Also, Kieran brought in a new character, Bria, to help train Alexis. Bria is a strange one. She's crazy and always colors outside the lines. She loves danger, seeks it out pretty much. Excited to see where she winds up. Plus, the revelation about her better half's identity is one I certainly wasn't expecting. Still drooling over the Six. It's an all-you-can-eat buffet for us ladies. Yummy! 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤My favorite part was all the weird, unique one-liners that the author uses (i.e. Mother-trucker biscuit f%&$#%, just to name one of the many) that had me cracking up. Already adopted some of them. (Thank you to the author for extending my vocabulary.) This go around, I think my favorite part was all the new magical elements that the author added. I just loved it and I can't wait to see more. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Want to know what I'm talking about? Then make sure you purchase a copy of Sin & Magic by K.F. Breene.💰💰📗📗☑️✅I'm completely hooked on this series and there's still more to come. I can't wait to read the next book, Sin & Salvation.🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗(Possible Spoilers Below!)--------- I'm gonna include some of the notes I took, thoughts I had while reading it. Hope you enjoy them!* Frank is proving to be quite sexist, even when he's being funny. * Zorn is one of the most intriguing characters of the bunch, can't wait to read more about him. * I'm excited to see where the kids' training leads.* Bria is awesome and it's my first meeting with her. YES!* Love the convo between Kieran and Alexis about her being late with technology and the little black book. Classic!* Chemistry + Kieran + Alexis = Off the charts, hot enough to melt metal. * Love when Bria describes Daisy as a gremlin! ROFL at that moment. * HOLY S***! Lexi has some serious mojo, scary stuff there. * I would have tanned some serious a**es for the B&E stunt. * Still intrigued by The Six. Looking forward to reading more about them. Discovering more of their powers and maybe some background details. * Phew!!! Some close calls and serious hotness up in the bedroom. * Elated for Lyra. That scene made me sad and joyful at the same time. Hard not to feel both for all in that moment. * How Cool! She connected them to one another; body, soul and magic. Sharing is caring! LOL!* Love the internal GPS bit. Wish I had that sometimes. * Woohoo! Lexi kicked some necromancer butt! WTG, girl. * Proud of Lexi. She stood her ground, put her foot down, made the choice for herself. Though, I'm not sure if that makes her brave or stupid. Guess we'll find out. * Love that Alexis, Mordecai and Daisy are such a close family. A family that has expanded by 7, 8 if you include the reluctant Kieran. * Done! I'm so hooked. I'm not sure I have enough patience to wait for the next book.

That being said, I usually do not read reviews because I never agree with them but I was curious about the 3 star reviews on Sin & Magic. I was surprised to read that some people think that Lexi & Keiran are weak. Lexi is (as are all of K.F. Breene’s female leads) a very strong woman. She does not need a man to make her stronger. Keiran does make her weak in the knees and go out of her mind with want but that is not a sign of weakness. “…if you think I’m going to let you walk into danger all by yourself, after everything you’ve done for me and my family, you’ve got a screw loose. I’m in this now, Kieran. I might not know what the hell I’m doing, and I might not be an incredible asset like the others, but I’m really good at plucking souls out of dead bodies. And I’m excellent at banishing souls. And communicating with them. And that’s something.”Does this really sound like a weak woman? No, it sounds like a woman who, even though she is afraid she is willing to stand up for what is right, to fight with all she has, and do whatever it takes to help the ones she cares about.Keiran is not weak because he is thinking of the safety of Lexi and her family. He wants to keep them out of danger. He is not unsure of himself just because he thinks he may not have enough power to over throw his father in what is coming. He is being realistic. They are both realistic and get help from their friends, drawing strength from those connections and becoming stronger. They are forming a family and creating the strongest ties through these relationships and from what book 2 shows us, they are seriously going to need all the strength they can get for what lies ahead!

Daisy is still just as hilarious as she was in book 1 but we see a little of her kick a$$ side start to form in this book. Both of the kids are training daily with some of Kieran's Six. Mordecai is building stamina and getting shifter strong and Daisy's unique fighting style has one of the Six wanting to train her personally which shocks everyone. The kids aren’t the only ones who Kieran has set up with training. In walks Bria, a level 5 Necromancer, who’s been charged with training Alexis in the basics of Necromancer and helping her with her fighting skills. Bria is just crazy, but in a, you’re not sure what she is going to do next or how much trouble she is going to get you into, kind of way. I for one can’t wait to read more about Bria and find out exactly is going on with her and Zorn. Now the relationship between Alexis and Kieran…Breene left us waiting after the last book to see if they would have anything other than a working relationship. And I have to say it was so worth the wait. Talk about explosion, WOW! I will not spoil it by giving any of the details but you won’t be sorry once you read this book. I can’t wait until the next one to see what the results end up being from connection. I highly recommend this story and all stories by K F Breene, you won’t be disappointed I promise.

And I love how Daisy can hold her own against all these magical beings! She is fabulous!! It’s also been beautiful to witness the Six and Bria slowly being enveloped into the family as well, giving us a glimpse into their personalities. Seeing Alexis learning about her powers is quite exhilarating but she remains humble and level headed. Kieran’s character definitely develops in this instalment, with Alexis inspiring him to be a better version of himself and this transformation has been a pleasure to witness. All round, this is a brilliant addition to a great series, and I highly recommend anything from KF Breene. She is absolutely fabulous

The latter is something, I'd like to point out as it's a reoccurring tool that never fails to leave an imprint on me. It's the way the perception of this world is broadened and enhanced by the protagonist's special abilities. Ms Breene's spin on a character's magic/skill and its inner workings draws a vivid, distinctive, original picture in my mind. It gives this world additional exciting layers that also extend to the emotional depth. I'm already looking forward to see how this progresses in the final book.

This is a 5* plus book , we again have all the gang from Sin & Chocolate, Lexi , her kids ,Daisy , Mordecai , Kieran ,the Demigod & his six still on a quest to release the soul of Kieran's mother from his fathers clutches , only now Lexi is his employee & his six are taking turns cooking the meals each evening . K.F Breene's characters are the reason these books work so well , you can't help loving the good one's & hating the bad guys , sarcastic ,feisty at times scary people tha This is a 5* plus book , we again have all the gang from Sin & Chocolate, Lexi , her kids ,Daisy , Mordecai , Kieran ,the Demigod & his six still on a quest to release the soul of Kieran's mother from his fathers clutches , only now Lexi is his employee & his six are taking turns cooking the meals each evening . Lexi is ably assisted & definitely led on by Bria , a necromancer who Kieran was hoping would help Lexi use her gift , sadly for him instead of one woman who doesn't listen he gets two . The sexual attraction between Lexi & Kieran ramps up to volcano level , not always approved of by her her kids but then a girl wants what she wants. The worst part of this book was finishing it because now i've got to wait for the next one .

Soooooooo gooooood!!!!I absolutely loved the first book in this series, Sin and Chocolate, and I had a feeling Sin and Magic would be just as great but it was even better than I thought it would be! Then, her wards are amazing and both bring so much to the story without overtaking it. Third, Bria! Yes please! I love her attitude and she is one of my new favorite characters. Then we have the six which were amazing enough in the first book but now that we’re starting to learn more about them I’m falling in love with them and can’t wait to find out the rest of their stories. And last but certainly not least, who doesn’t love a sexy demigod with tons of power?! I cannot wait for the next book and I really hope this series will continue for a while because I need my new addiction, the demigod of San Francisco, and lots of it.

Sin & Magic (Demigod of San Francisco #2) by K.F. Breene is one incredible magical story that I am in love with. It shows why she is a USA TODAY BESTSELLING author, not that she needed that for me to know. I absolutely love, love, love KF’s humour she instills in her characters that have you laughing out loud. With romance and mystery, thrills and spills, danger and suspense, action and intrigue, it has it all and let's not forget the evil they are trying to fight. The chemistry sizzles between Kieran and Alexis and is sweet and sexy that heats up the pages to the point I needed a ciggy after it was over. It is a definite page turner that you just don’t want to end. No one and I mean no one should ever pass up one of her books and this one is right at the top of the list.

This was a really fun read. I love the way Alexis's character is unfolding and her strength really shows in how she's willing to fail to learn. She's probably one of the most "real" characters I've read in paranormal books recently. She's thoughtful, stubborn and has plenty of attitude, but manages to walk that fine line between throwing attitude and being unpleasant perfectly. Kieran is alright... but his character is drowning in self doubt between his periods of confidence. Hopefully he pulls This was a really fun read. Daisy is a riot... really hoping she gets a series of her own at some point and while Mordecai seems pretty interesting, we've yet to really get a feel for him. I have to say, the character I most want to learn about after reading this book was Jack. Seriously....not going to spoil it for anyone but the six got a lot going on and totally need their stories told!

Book 2 of Demigod of San Francisco, Kieran is a “laid back” demigod that has control issues. Then again, not many people challenge him, except for one, Alexis. Her magic is beyond a high class necromancer. No one is quite sure what she is capable of. But one thing is for sure, she’s stubborn, smart and very determined. When a fight for a mothers rest becomes personal with the prisoned world, Lexi will stop at nothing to free all who have suffered at the hands of, Valen, Kieran’s father. Their family of 3 quickly is growing with the six (Jack, Zorn, Donovan, Thane, Bowman, Henry), Keiran, and the fouled mouth, funny, Bria! I am starting to love everything about this amazing group! Kieran and Alexis’s “relationship” will flourish and become your favorite chapters, or they were mine at least! I definitely hope to see more of there time together in book 3!

Sin & Magic was an absolutely perfect follow-up to Sin & Chocolate, with this second entry into the series I feel like K.F. Breene really upped the ante and gave us twice the action, twice the snarky humor, and definitely twice the steam! More than a few times while I was reading, I started laughing out loud and ended up receiving a few odd looks from whoever happened to be around at the time. Bria is the best kind of crazy and absolutely hilarious. I definitely look forward to reading more about the whole team and hope Bria might get her own little spin-off! I cannot wait for the next installment in this series!!

I read this book as soon as I could. I've been looking forward to it since reading Sin & Chocolate. This book is outstanding! I loved the story, but the characters and dialog really make the book. This book is the sequel to Sin and Chocolate. There's still plenty of Mordecai and Daisy, steam with Kieran and a well-paced and very well-edited story with lots of snarky, hysterical dialog. I had to quit reading this at lunch time because I was laughing so hard I was afraid I'd choke! You can read this as a stand-alone, but do yourself a favor and start with the first book in the series to better understand the background of the characters. You won't regret it!

It is a thriller and first rate romance. I recommend the series to those who love quirky characters, a fast paced plot, and urban fantasy.

Good book. Now that the players have all been introduced and the stage set this one moves along much faster than the first book in the series. Alexis is starting to discover her true magical power and her backbone. The kids with the help of Kiernan's Six are finding more direction and purpose. The chemistry between Kiernan and Lexi won't be denied as this book is far steamier than any other book I've read by this author. Despite the fact Keirnan and Lexi can't be in the same room without wanting to rip each others clothes off and all the feels are there, neither has figured out theirs is a forever kind of love yet. Of course ultimately this book is meant to set the stage between Kiernan, Lexi and the gang against his evil demigod father Valens in the third and what I assume will be the final book in the series.

The book picks up pretty much were book one (Sin & Chocolate) left off. While I felt this book moved along a bit better than the first one, I felt sightly let down with Kieran & Alexis. I loved them both in the first book, but they come across just "meh" in S & M. Kieran is a bit too needy & anxious at times & Alexis is just weak overall. I will say the secondary characters absolutely stole the show on this one. I LOVED the 6, Bria, & the kids. A good read with some nagging character faults, but I will still give future books in the series a try (especially if they are about any of the secondary characters!!)

Worth waiting forI hate waiting for new books to come out.once Kindle finally let me have my ebook (several hours after midnight!!!!) I tried not read to read it all at once. So it took 2 days instead of a few hours. But it was awesome. This book is different than a lot of books of this genre and I like that because books are starting to all run together because there is only so much you can write about. The magic in this book is different, even the characters haven't seen some of it before.
