5 starsThe Gift is part of an Anthology called Christmas with a Rockstar written by several amazing authors including Katie Ashley featuring the Runaway Train crew. It was a story about love, family and the true spirit of Christmas. I was so entranced with how Keira was treated and how the band just came together to celebrate. My heart was full and the tears were flowing as we saw the next chapter in Rhys and Allison.Enjoy this beautiful Christmas story by one amazing author.4.5 starsHot on the heels of the completion of their Rock Revenge trilogy come Paradise in Oblivion from authors Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott, part of the Christmas with a Rock Star anthology. While this novella can be read as a standalone title, fans of this writing duo will get way more out of the story than someone reading them for the first time.Just a few weeks before Margo is due to deliver and closing in on the Christmas holiday, Simon whisks her (and her midwife) off to St. Johns so she can relax and enjoy the view and house she has loved since she was a child. It also gives them time to get to know Simon’s brother (whom he didn’t know about until recently), Ian and Ian’s girlfriend, Zoe. Along for the ride is Simon’s best friend, Nick Crandall and his wife Lila who also happens to manage their band Oblivion and is a cousin to Zoe. With Christmas around the corner there is decorating to be done, Christmas carols to be sung, and gift buying to be rung (sorry, that just came out of my head and I had to write it down) all while a hurricane has decided to head their way. I loved watching Ian starting to really bond with Simon and even Nick beginning to soften towards him and the ladies not only enjoying the mini concerts the guys offered up, but shaking their heads at their “boys will be boys” antics. Paradise in Oblivion is a fun story that fans of this writing duo will no doubt enjoy immensely!

4.5 stars The Gift: A Runaway Train Christmas by Katie AshleyI am a huge fan of the Runaway Train series so this was such a great way to revisit old friends! I love these two and this group. The couples truly love each other and together they all made their own extended family. They have such fun dynamics and senses of humor. They tease and taunt each other, but they are a great support system as well. I was surprised to see that at one point I had tears in my eyes as I celebrated some joyous and emotional moments with them. This is a short, sweet story that celebrates love and family and brings the feels. Fans of the series will enjoy this special day in the life and hanging out with old friends. And maybe it will inspire some new fans to pick up the series and read more about the other couples. Either way I enjoyed this novellete that sparked my Christmas spirit and now makes me want to reread more about some of my fave couples. The review is for The Right Man by Michelle Mankin. Followed by my review for Drummer Girl by Ginger Scott. What is the start of another of her insanely good rocker stories, The Right Man hits all the right notes!Rush McMahon is the arrogant rock star who just wants some time off. After his less than stellar actions force his former fiance into his brother's arms, he is seemingly forever chasing what he so desperately needs. I'm not sure he even knows what that is but after another sell-out show, he finds himself suddenly befriending and paying to spend some sexy time with a distraught young hooker named Jewel.Oh these two are clearly like a mismatched pair of worn out shoes but something tells me they might just what the other didn't even know they were looking for. In this short intro to what I know will be one heck of a great rocker romance, the chemistry is most definitely there and I can only hope Jewel and Rush will be the answer to each other's wants and needs. Each has a story to tell with Jewel clearly needing more than just a few dollars to keep herself afloat. And I already love that Rush can't quite make out just what Jewel is about and that his curiosity and love of her mega-watt smile might just wreck his heart for good.5 rockin' stars!-----------------------------------------------------------------------Ginger Scott has me all kinds of anxious for more of Drummer Girl. I just LOVE that Arizona is a drummer, something I desperately wanted to be in my youth. She's like this subtle bit of bada$$ with a sudden spunky nature that she only uses when her new neighbor and crush, Jesse, is in her sights. And now she's a part of his start-up band and the sparks these two give off to one another are bound to start one heck of fire! I already have protective feelings for the beleaguered Jesse, trying to live his life while being the bastard son of a washed-up rock star, and all that falls on his young shoulders. But I sense there is so much more to his story than we know and I cannot wait for the rest of this book. The words flow beautifully once more and I'm lost in the talent that is Ginger Scott. This is a great start to a rockin' story that I know will ultimately floor me in the very best way.5 rockin' stars!I look forward to more of this anthology since any time with a rock star is always a great thing. But to get to spend Christmas with 9? Well that is most certainly all kinds of fantastic.

There's no stopping this runaway train. It may be cold outside, but it's hot in here. Christmas with a Rock Star spices it up with tempting stories, intriguing characters and a little naughty behavior. My favorite was The Gift by Katie Ashley. What happens when sweet and spicy collide. Heartwarming gold.

These rock stars and their women (along with a midwife) spend the holidays at Simon and Margo’s getaway on the island. The banter between them will have you laughing and their true feelings will have hearts melting. Margo is very pregnant and a hurricane is coming toward their little island. What could go wrong with this scenario?! I loved this look at the three couples with a big secret to be revealed as well. Can’t get enough of these guys!!

Review of Michelle Mankin's The Right GuyThis teaser was quite tasty! Mankin introduced our two main characters and gave just enough of the story to have me chomping at the bit for more. Rush and Jewel seemingly have nothing in common but I have a feeling they'll fulfill something that's lacking in each other. And I look forward to being along for the journey.

The tales told here are full of temptations and pulls readers in wholeheartedly while leaving us wanting more..In a tale that epitomizes the true meaning of love, The Gift by Katie Ashley shows readers the unconditional kind that’s not contingent on biology and depicts a modern definition of family. Set against the backdrop of the rock star world, a couple whose forbidden romance had them fighting to reach their HEA gets the perfect Christmas gift courtesy of an unwed mother. It’s a slice of life depicted in this novella, a picture perfect moment meant for a Christmas card, as the warmth of the holiday adds to the joy a new little addition brings to their family.Bassist for the famous rock band Runaway Train, Rhys is sex-on-a-stick on stage while showing a sweet and caring side off stage in scenes with his nieces and nephews. Though his upbringing lacked in warmth, he’s ready to be a dad after finding his soul mate, and together they open up their hearts to make their “family” even bigger. There’s an overflow of love between Rhys and his wife Allison that has them embracing unexpected parenthood and the tender scenes seen here brought a tear to my eye. Alongside this strong-willed couple readers are reintroduced to Rhys’s bandmates and the women they love who enhanced the feelings of love and joy permeating this story and through their heartwarming interactions this cast of characters redefine what it means to be a family. From the first page to the last this is a tale that warms the heart. It’s a feel-good tale full of heart and soul with characters that endeared themselves to me in another satisfying addition to Ms. Ashley’s rock star series. The other nine authors found in this collection are some of my favorites with stories that are part of well-loved series. I enjoyed the nostalgia of seeing past characters, and being introduced to new ones, in sweet and sexy stories perfect for reading by the Christmas tree. Instead of an Advent Calendar counting down the days until Christmas, readers will instead want to read a story a day to not only make you smile but to bring a bit of heat to the chilly weather courtesy of this delightful collection.

PARADISE IN OBLIVION can be read as a stand alone but I recommend reading the Rock Revenge Trilogy as some of the events in the current time-line are a direct result from some of the events in the aforementioned trilogy. PARADISE IN OBLIVION advances both series several months.NOTE: If you have not read either of the previous two series there may be some spoilers in my review.Told from dual first person perspectives (Ian and Zoe-Rock Revenge Trilogy), and several third person perspectives (Simon, Margo and Nick-Lost in Oblivion) PARADISE IN OBLIVION follows three couples, Simon and Margo, Nick and Lila, Ian and Zoe as they embark on a Christmas holiday on a remote Island where Simon and Margo own vacation property. Margo, heavily pregnant with Simon’s baby worries about her impending due date, and the potential problems with the worsening weather; Nick and Lila struggle with what may never be; and Ian and Zoe have a couple of surprise announcements that may or may not be what everyone wants to hear. PARADISE IN OBLIVION is a quick, fun and sexy read that follows in the aftermath of the events of ROCK REDEMPTION and the Rock Revenge Trilogy wherein Simon will come face to face with the brother he never knew, and the ensuing disaster that almost cost him the woman he loved. It is going to be angsty, and have highs and lows and I cannot freaking wait!!Ginger completely pulled me in with just this little bit of the story. Everything from the backdrop of where Arizona lives to the status of her family, to the little hints dropped here and there of things that have occurred in her family's past that I feel will play a much bigger role when the whole book releases. And then there's Jesse. Damn. I'm not going to say much about him because he is a force to be reckoned with and y 'all need to just experience him for yourselves. Yeah, I'm committed, hook line and sinker to getting the rest of these two young people's story. The wait is going to be torture! It was so wonderful to revisit with Katie Ashley's Runaway Train group! Especially Rhys and Allison who has always, always been my favorite of them all. Don't tell Jake I said that, because you know, his ego and all that... Okay, I love Jake too, I love all the guys, but there's always been something super special about the relationship between Rhys and Allison. And now they get the most special Christmas present than anyone could ever get in their lives. And it was so, so touching to see it all play out. I loved it! I cried through most of it, but it was happy tears! If you've read the series, you already know what the gift is I'm talking about, but to see how it all came about was just beautiful and touching and perfect! I'm so excited for this book to drop! I'll update my review once I read the rest of the authors.

Simon was entertaining in his cluelessness and panicked state of impending fatherhood while Ian was still insanely in-love with Zoe with grand plans for their future together. I love how all those hard core rocker boys have that soft spot and vulnerability towards the strong women that they love. I really enjoyed the book - it was fast paced, sweet, entertaining, and had me chuckling frequently. I received this book for free and I voluntarily leave this review.

The Right Man – Michelle MankinRush is an obnoxious rock star and Jewel is a young street walker, both with a past that we immediately want to learn. They meet by chance and in typical Mankin fashion, her writing is as explosive as the chemistry between these two complete opposite’s ….. at least from the outside. The short teaser gives you just a hint of what’s to come, and I can’t wait for the whole story!!

I received an ARC for Drummer Girl by Ginger Scott. The piece included in the anthology is the first five chapters of the book which will come out in 2019. It is clearly marked as an "Advanced Preview" contribution to the anthology. These first five chapters introduce us to Arizona Wakefield and Jesse Berringer. While the entire novel isn't yet published, it's already a five star read right out of the gate.I love the fact that the heroine of the book is a female drummer. The fire between these two I received an ARC for Drummer Girl by Ginger Scott. If you're a Ginger Scott fan like I am, you're going to buy the book anyway. But, pick up the anthology, and enjoy all of the authors. Most of them have written some sort of story that has a beginning, middle, and end. It should also satisfy anyone who doesn't normally read certain genres and would like to give something new a try. I plan to buy a copy of the entire book to read some other genres and to add to my list of reads for my up and coming cruise to the Caribbean.

What a great look at what happens after Rock Revenge. It’s so good to see the gang once again. There are so many exciting new things happening in everyone lives. New pregnancies, new babies, new engagements? But the thing I liked most about this book was the relationship between Simon, Ian and Nick. It was so great to see Simon and Nick so laid back. They put all their trials and tribulations behind them and just had fun with each other. I also loved to watch the interplay between Nick and Ian. Both of them are worried about losing out on Simon’s attention. It was fun to watch as Nick let down his guard a bit and added Ian into the fray. His acceptance may have come by way of snark and sarcasm, but that’s how you know you’ve been accepted by Nick. Great wrap up to Rock Redemption!

Wow....Sander James, former lead singer to the famous rock band Indigo Road is a man who had it all and basically threw it away...He’s lost almost everything to his own self indulgence. Now he’s sober and trying to figure out where he can go from here? He’s feeling unsettled and unsatisfied with his life...that is until he gets a breath of fresh air, until Wynne. I can’t lie, my heart is totally in my throat over this one. I love RB Hilliard’s way with words, she is an amazing story teller and I think this story is one of her best yet. I can honestly say waiting to see where this one goes from here will not be easy, but it definitely will be worth it!

MILLION DOLLAR MUSICIANby RB HilliardI just finished the teaser of MILLION DOLLAR MUSICIAN and OMG i want the rest now. I love reading her books as she always ropes you in to where you feel the characters come to life. Sander is every girls wet dream of a rock star come true full of dissatisfaction with his life. Disappointed I have bought quite a number of anthologies over my 10 plus years of having an e-reader. When I purchase an anthology, I expect to read novellas from the authors, not the first few chapters of a book that isn't even out yet. The authors that did write novellas, they were fantastic and I can't wait to read those books in the respective series . But I won't be buying/preordering a book that I only read a few chapters of instead of a novella. You might not agree, but that is how I feel.

So I’ve only read R.B. Hilliard’s addition to the book but it did not disappoint.I loved it and “hated” it... loved it bc it was amazing and I can’t wait for the entire book, I’m looking forward to Sander’s “redemption” and getting his happily for now/after. I’m ready to see Sander fight for what he deserves, to fight for love and to prove to himself that he’s more than his past.

I’ve only got to read one story so far which is Paradise in Oblivion by Taryn Elliot & Cari Quinn. It takes place after Rock Redemption. Simon & Nick along with the wives and Ian & Zoe are in paradise for the holidays - palm trees, sand and a “tropical storm” (insert hurricane here). Nick is as snarky as ever, Simon is well, Simon! And poor Ian still just wants to be a part of a family.Always love hanging out with the LIO guys. This story is a definite winner!
