When Trey sets up Fight Club, it certainly draws attention…the wrong kind. The entire pack’s now on the FBI and CIA’s radar. And now vampires have shown up? All this gets back to the Phoenix pack, where their Alpha (Garrett’s dad) sends Sheridan Green to investigate and shut down Fight Club. When Sheridan struts in decked out to the nines, no one’s more shocked than she when she finds Trey Robson—except Trey himself. You see, it wasn’t just Sheridan who betrayed Trey and the others. He also betrayed her. But Trey and Sheridan’s issues have to take a back seat when Lucius arrives. Bearing a treaty marking territory for wolves and vampires alike, can Lucius be trusted? Can any vampire? On the eve of the treaty signing, the worst that could happen does, putting Fight Club, the treaty, the entire future of the Tucson pack on the line. Who did this? Why? As Trey and Sheridan fight their chemistry and each other, they both know they have to find the answers. How? Each step puts both in more and more danger. As Sheridan’s life hangs in the balance, Trey realizes he has decisions to make. Should he save her? There’s far more than her life at stake. Suddenly everything comes into focus. Only, is it too late? Has Sheridan been sacrificed and everything lost?Renee Rose and Lee Savino are the dynamic duo of shifter romances. They’re both incredibly talented authors on their own, but when you put them together, you have dynamite. I absolutely loved this story. While this is a standalone book in the series, we have met Trey and the rest of the Tucson pack before. This time Trey is front and center. We finally learn just who and what he is. A shifter, a fighter, capable, hot, sexy, and so much more. Is it any wonder Sheridan fights her attraction to him? And Sheridan? Strong, yet so conflicted on so many levels. Daddy’s little princess vies with the MBA overachiever and again with the chemistry with Trey. Her entire world’s been turned upside down. I love these two! But this book wouldn’t be complete without the cast of supporting characters. As I’ve stated before, I love vampires. Without Lucius and his minions, this story wouldn’t have worked. Add in the entirety of the Tucson and Phoenix packs, and you have the perfect blend of spicy and savory to complete the recipe. This book is fantastic! Renee Rose and Lee Savino have again hit it out of the park. Congratulations, ladies! This book absolutely deserves five stars!A final note. This is an ADULT book. It contains explicit language and sexual scenes. If you don't enjoy this genre, this may not be the book for you. There are book synopses and reviews available on Goodreads and Amazon. Please use these resources. I urge you to leave a review, but with a proviso. Please don’t leave a negative review when you know you won’t enjoy the book. It's not fair to the authors. They work hard to provide a quality work product. If you know you'll object to a book's subject matter before you buy it, you're doing yourself and the authors an extreme disservice. Thanks for reading my review and happy reading!

Alpha’s Bane is the ninth book in the Bad Boy Alphas series, but can completely stand alone. But she has a tendency to get into dangerous situations and soon she has a vampire lusting after her, and her only savior is Trey, who still hates her. Except his wolf doesn’t. Will Fight Club offer a second chance for Sheridan and Trey, or will they get in each other’s ways again?Wow! I swear, this series is just amazing and keeps getting better and better. I loved Trey and Sheridan! I loved how much they sacrificed for each other and how much they wanted to fight for one another in the end. Most of the chapters start off with a flashback to their high school years, which I loved, and they had an explosive beginning and an even stronger right now. Sheridan was feisty, but honestly still trying to figure out who she was on the inside. I loved that she was an all alpha female, able to stand on her own and defend herself, talk with head vampires and was totally cool with working the bar, but also had a really vulnerable side of just wanting to be loved and accepted. Trey was full of sacrifice and anger, but really came into his own being and knew what he wanted, even if he was fighting against it. I loved how even when he didn’t quite trust her, he only wanted to protect and love Sheridan! I loved the vampires and the direction that all took in this story and once I started this book, it was really difficult to put down to go about my day when needed! This has just been an amazing book and series by two phenomenal authors!

Trey is running a fight club for shifters. It's a neutral place where any shifter can come and fight. Also, vampires are showing up. So when Sheridan Green shows up, Trey sees nothing but trouble. After all, she was his first girlfriend and she got him kicked out of the Phoenix pack. Sheridan Green, cousin of Garrett, has been sent down to Tucson by her father and her uncle. She's the perfect pack princess and always does what she's expected to do. She is straight-laced, uptight, and always perfect. So now she's in Tucson to shut down the fight club, on her Alpha's orders. But it's never that easy. Especially when it comes to inter-pack politics. I loved finding out more about Garrett and his guys and their eviction from the Phoenix pack. I like Trey, but he's a blithering idiot sometimes. I mean, he spends some time with a cranio-rectal inversion of massive proportions and Sheridan was rightfully upset about it. He's a pretty good guy and we've seen him through the other books being a good guy. I like Sheridan. I felt so sorry for her though. It's hard to be torn the way that she was. I really, really, really hate her dad though.

2.5 starsThis book had some flaws. Editing flaws that drove me nuts. Time hops that were sporadic and didn't make sense to the reader. Characters were not consistent and a little too juvenile for my taste. Yeah, not my favorite of the series.

One of my favorite fun and sexy series gave me more...a second chance romance!!!We get to see what happened 12 years ago between Trey and Sheridan with flashbacks, but we are firmly in the present. I really liked both of these characters and think this is a great addition to the series.

Sheridan Green has loved Trey for over twelve years This standalone second chance at love and all that involves for Sheridan Green and Trey Robson two wolf shifters, they have been in love since childhood and have been apart for over twelve years but now they are working together to solve murders being blamed on Shifter Fight Club. They were high school sweethearts, they are from opposite ends of the track although initially in the same pack. Sheridan is from Alpha royalty and he is the son of a brewery worker. The plot has Sheridan being sent to Trey’s club to discover if the vampires are responsible for the dead humans being found with bites on their necks and wrists etc…. Which is obviously drawing attention to the secret world of shifters and supernatural beings, where any attention could blow their individual worlds wide open.Trey, Jared and Garrett are no longer the young wolf shifters banished from the pack and they had all worked together and built up a lucrative business in Tucson where they have developed their own pack with Garrett as the pack Alpha. The story has Sheridan working between the shifters and vampire’s community in an effort to ensure that a treaty can be drawn up and adhered to, humans have no knowledge of the Shifter Fight Club or the fact that there are vampires living within the community. It also now appears that the vampires have been leaving dead victims with obvious signs of bites and this has closed the club down. Unusually the book starts chapters with something from twelve years past when Sheridan and Trey were together, it then moves to the present day when they have grown up and have gone their own way after being thrown out of the pack and have succeeded through hard work and good investment. Trey believes that Sheridan went to college and did everything that was expected of her as the daughter of Alpha Green what he has no idea of is that she has not been with another male in twelve years and also Trey has remained loyal to her as his wolf had decided all those years ago that she was his mate, if he couldn’t have her as his mate, he would remain unmated.A battle is coming within the paranormal worlds and two high school sweet hearts and lovers will be forced to confront their past and be brave enough to fight for their future, their love and for the rest of the pack that is relying on the culprits that are killing humans are brought out into the open and prosecuted. They are playing to win because the thought of losing could bring about the very downfall of shifters and more importantly it could be the demise of their way of life…….I enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

I’ve loved so many books in Rose and Savino’s long-running series, and Alpha’s Bane started off as no exception to that. I really enjoyed the way the story moved from Trey and Sheridan’s past to their present, from the time of their youthful, idyllic, and ultimately shattered love to today’s strong and yet incomplete people. That Sheridan was as alpha as Trey was a great touch (yet Trey wasn’t the alpha of alphas in his pack, which meant he knew when to step back as well). That Sheridan was as alpha as Trey was a great touch (yet Trey wasn’t the alpha of alphas in his pack, which meant he knew when to step back as well). So I loved what I was reading, up until about the 60% point. At this stage, there’s a scene that so threw me out of this heretofore-gripping book that I couldn’t pick it up and start reading again for several days. I’d open the book back up to this one scene, and I’d have to shut it again. Why? Because Trey and Sheridan, at a vampire club where they’re supposed to be casing and checking things out, do something so utterly unexpected, so incongruous in its workings, so inconsistent with the characters’ history, and so not-hinted-at in any way up to that point that I just couldn’t accept that I was reading what I was reading. And to top it off, the action didn’t make sense considering what their responsibilities were at that moment of the plot. I was really astonished at how strongly this scene bothered me, and how much I struggled with the book after that. Yes, Trey descends into old patterns and has to be made to see that his past is not his future, while Sheridan moves forward in a manner that was wonderful to see. But all their actions post that scene were questionable to me; they were built on an unsteady foundation. It’s tough to rate this book, as up until the Scene That Shall Not Be Named, I loved this book in all ways. But a book-stopper scene is something I hate to encounter, and alas, Alpha’s Bane had one for me.BTW, this is part of a long-running series, and I highly suggest you read the books in order. Otherwise, the situation with Trey’s pack and his relationship with Sheridan’s family will be difficult to understand.

Exciting romance with a fiery heroine and her deliciously dominant mate!First off, for fans of the series, we finally get the whole backstory into why Garrett's pack split from his father's pack years ago. To say pack politics kept them apart would be an understatement, but their own pride and stubbornness played a part as well.In the present day, Sheridan, representing the Phoenix pack, drops in unannounced at Trey's Fight Club in Tucson. She's there to find out what Garrett's pack has been up to, but soon finds that a growing threat from the area's vampire nest is a much more pressing concern. The direction this takes is completely unexpected, and the scenes at Toxic were off-the-charts HOT! The authors interspersed the past with the present, and though it was a little confusing that the sections detailing the past were told out of chronological order, it all worked cohesively together to tease out all the pertinent details in due time. The personal growth of both main characters was clearly demonstrated in how, in the present, they dealt with the prejudices and misunderstandings of the past. Their devotion to each other was so beautifully demonstrated that it was a relief to all when they finally stopped hiding from the truth. The HEA was triumphant and heartwarming, though I would have preferred a bit more of an epilogue. Still, the story is non-stop excitement with wonderful shifter characters and truly villainous leeches. It's a perfect standalone romance that also gives a lot of insight into the characters and pack politics from the earlier books. I don't know if this is the last book in the series, but the authors didn't leave any loose ends or hints at future storylines. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Extraordinary, EASY, erotic, and full of suspense, this wolf-tale is a Phenomenal MUST-READ!Ya know the old saying: ‘The last___ (one of whatever is being compared) is always the BEST!’ has proven true with EVERY book read in the Rose/Savino Alpha Shifter series. “ALPHA’S BANE,” the latest novel offered in the series, is no exception to that rule as it is sincerely the BEST, IMHO, of course. Not only did it answer a number of questions that have long plagued this reader, questions about some of the specific details concerning the two shifter packs that provided the characters for these wonderful paranormal novels, “ALPHA’S BANE” also told the most remarkable, second chance/coming of age/MMA romance. The use of dual narration, character angst, dialogue, and action enable readers to get to know the characters, both main and secondary, within a short span of chapters, charming this reader and drawing her totally in love with Sheridan and Trey. Speaking of characters, let it be known that while writing individually Savino and Rose both create the most realistic characters having to deal with the most unusual and most of the time life-threatening dangers imaginable, what they do individually is then magnified and refined into sheer greatness when they write as a team. With “ALPHA’S BANE,” the usually erotic explosion begins with a slow burn with intermittent flaming flashbacks, and then gives readers the most sensuous BDSM scenes ever! So, if you like some suspense added to this steamy delight, then “ALPHA’S BANE” is the romance to buy! I voluntarily read an ARC copy of “ALPHA’S BANE” and this is my honest review – I wish I could award more stars because “ALPHA’S BANE” earned them! Purchase your copy of “ALPHA’S BANE” TODAY! Happy pages! 😉

LOVE this series! I asked for more, actually I begged for more and now I have received more! LOL How these two authors continue to deliver is astounding and they do with each story they write. Each story is a stand alone - they tell their own story, no repetition and they compliment one another. Sheridan and Trey are two Dominants and this is so refreshing -We have a Dominant, strong, capable female character! Wonder how that will work out since they are so attracted to each other. Their story is a romance that spans over the years. Sheridan was the Alpha’s daughter and led a protected, loving life. Trey was the boyfriend from the wrong side of the tracks. Family pressure, their love and other factors sent them on different paths. Now, they have met again -revenge, resentment, hurt feelings - can’t impede the love that is still felt and has never dissolved. Renee Rose and Lee Savino keeps us on edge, as they write about Sexy, Dominant Alphas, adding suspense and mystery. It is fast paced with great twists and steamy! They are able to weave a story together and get us to feel a part of it, so we can’t put it down. LOL Thank you Renee Rose and Lee Savino.

I’ve been reading this series since story 1 and with each new addition, I’m increasingly wowed by the writing chops of Renee Rose and Lee Savino. Likes: As I’ve said, I’ve been following the series from the beginning and I was so pleased to get the backstory on why Garrett and his friends split from the Phoenix pack. We also get more of what’s going on with the local vamps, which is going good for a thrill. And of course, Trey is much more than muscle, which is awesome. The flashbacks worked well for the story. While they weren’t always seamless, they served as an integral part to the story giving readers some much needed backstory that couldn’t have been told well any other way. Not quite likes: I wanted to like Sheridan more than I did. While her character is great for the story and fits well with what we would come to expect from someone in her role, I was definitely #teamtrey. However, I will say that I absolutely loved her quote and word of the day calendars. Those were fab.

Another awesome Alpha Bad Boy!"Alpha's Bane" is a great book. It wasn't my favorite of the Alphas but with 9 of them to choose from, and not one of them is a less than 5 star book, that doesn't mean I didn't absolutely love it anyway! I would've like to hear more about their connection as teenagers, dates, falling in love and less ominous allusion to the big betrayal. Same with the present - more fun & connection, less fear & distress. OVERALL THOUGH, what a GREAT couple! There's a scene in a vampire dungeon...YES! OMG! I related to Sheridan, hard! Yes! WORK HARD, PLAY HARD! Very professional business attire by day, smokin hot, sexy "costumes" by night! Lol - There is an entire section of my closet dedicated to "costumes!" And Trey... OMG Trey. He's been waiting to dominate her for 12 years. Excellent book! Can't wait for #10.

As a teen, she fell for the misunderstood and smart outcast, Trey Robson. When he is forced to leave, she heartbroken. Twelve years later, there are going to be consequences for that hurt and her own betrayal. Trey is a wonderfully complex character; he carries his heart and emotions on his sleeve, but guards them closely because of how strongly he still feels for Sheridan, he's known since he first met her that she's his mate. But how does the bad boy get the perfect princess when forces all around them are intend on keeping them apart? You've got to read their story! Lots of recurring characters and interwoven plots that keep you up to date and actively involved in the story.

Sheridan was sent by the pack to investigate the Fight Club but she doesn’t realize that the owner isn’t Garrett but Trey. Trey just wants to run his business in peace. Ok, he has Vampires aka leeches there some times but they don’t cause a problem. Then SHE walked in, his past. Sheridan is everything he ever wanted and can’t have. You can tell there is more here that isn’t being said. With him, Garrett, and Jared being thrown out of the pack a while ago and Garrett becoming an Alpha of his own, things have moved on. But when it comes to Sheridan, Trey has stopped. You feel the hurt and loss of what they had in the past. So many untruths and hurt. I was glad that they FINALLY revealed all and that they followed their heart. Now, the other thing, I have to say I would love to see a story about a vampire and another shifter. That would be so cool.

With this book, we get to hear more about the fight club and the history of Trey and Sheridan's romantic beginnings. Sheridan is sent from the Phoenix Pack to get the low down on the fight club and the rumors of the leeches, aka, Vampires that now attend there. There is also the back story of how and why Garrett's pack split from the Phoenix pack. There is one vampire in particular that I was leary of from the start, but he didn't really do anything to support my questions about him, yet. The sex was steaming hot and the connection Trey had with Sheridan was obvious, even though he resented her betrayal. The vampire Nero was a sleezy blood sucker, even though he was attractive, you could still sense he was cold blooded only looking for a fresh human to feast on. The connection between Trey and Sheridan was my main interest and I was thrilled when Sheridan finally found a backbone. In the end, I was happy with how things worked out, but looking forward to finding out the mystery behind Grizz'sbehavior.

I mean honestly, take teenage girl heartbreak, overbearing Dad and her place as pack princess and it's not really to shocking that she did something so short sighted. Trey though was not faultless. Even though what he did came from wanting what he thought was best for her and his own insecurities and low self esteem. Again, somewhat typical of teenagers. I liked that good did come out of what happened. Both these characters really grew and learned more about themselves. This second chance romance offers lots of drama, emotion and steam.
