I volunteered to review this book for the author, this is my honest opinion.I have been eagerly waiting for this book to come and I wasn't disappointed! I was completely stumped as to who the killer was and what the motive was but that was a good thing! I'm on cloud 9 that Adam and Jenny have finally set a date (although I don't remember the proposal) but I wonder if Adam is just trying to keep her away from Jason. Can't wait to see what happens next in Pelican Cove!

Hard to believe this is the 7th book in the Pelican Cove Cozy Mystery series! With each book the characters have become more like friends. A couple surprises await readers in this newest book, and one I can safely share with you. Now that Adam and Jenny are engaged, Adam doesn't share any more police business with Jenny, but neither is he so grouchy and constantly considering Jenny to be the murderer. Instead he actually shares some information on his own and tells his fiance when she has done a good job sleuthing! How refreshing to see him act kinder! This book revolves around Ada Newbury and her grandson who is to be married soon. While Ada hasn't softened much, she has asked Jenny for her help-several times. While Jenny is using her talents to figure out who murdered grandson Brandon's fiance, she discovers a surprising side to Ada that she hadn't seen before.I loved the way Ms Cooper has made the characters develop and change throughout the series. Even Ada, snootiest of the snooty, has become less abrasive. But don't take my word for it! Surprises await you as another murder happens in Pelican Cove, and Jenny and friends try to figure it out. It's not just the food at the Boardwalk Cafe that keeps getting better and better! Don't miss this one with so much going on! Delightful story that makes me want to read more!

Engagement, funeral, funeral, engagement Although this was good, it just seemed to be lacking something. The plot was fine until the end when it just lost something. Maybe because the motive was a bit weird. Hope that this isn't the start of the series losing it's edge. Plus when are partners going to be found for our two unattached singles - or are they suddenly going to be paired together?Ada has organised an engagement party for her grandson. What a great book! I truly enjoyed each and every moment of this book! The author does such a fantastic job telling the story that I am never lost, even though I have not had the opportunity to read all the books in order. The stories are so interesting and compelling. I am always on the edge of my seat while reading these fabulous books. It's always such a bummer when these lovely books end. They do not have cliffhangers, which I absolutely love! Did the young bride actually cause her own murder? After all, she wasn't liked at all by the grandmother of the groom, and they are the richest family in Pelican Cove. But the soon to be bride wasn't as innocent as she wanted people to believe. Jenny has her hands full trying to filter out the truth from all the information she has gotten. Then there is Adam's proposal. That was a "out of left field" kind of thing to do, wonder why? You will enjoy finding out the answers in this story as I have! What a fun read! I absolutely love all the people of Pelican Cove, Ada particularly stood out in this latest installment. . The fast-pace of the book as Jenny (and Adam) try to solve the murder of the bride to be makes for a quick, page turning afternoon! With several affairs and plenty of deceit the reader is left guessing until the end. Looking forward to number 8!

I love this series! The main characters are people that you would like to know. Their strong friendships are enviable. The lovely coastal island is a great location. The storyline is multi-faceted, involving a lot of people. Interesting read that kept my interest. Can’t wait for the next one. I was provided an advance copy of this book and voluntarily wrote an unbiased review.

Very goodYou always keep the readers interest. The mystery was very good. Along the way I considered Zac briefly to be murderer just a guess. Love these characters. You allow us to get to know them. Hopefully there are more books where Adam marries Jenny. There's always a great story. Thank you. Stay well. Always look forward to your next book.
