If I didn’t know the author there is no way I’d peg this as hers. This was completely different to what we’ve previously seen by her. Our hero and Heroine are as different as chalk and cheese, but there's another character Chris who plays a significant role within this book too, a badly burnt, amnesiac victim, who suffers from PTSD and Paranoia he's just as damaged if not more so than our heroine Jersey. Jersey Six hasn't had the best upbringing, a tough street urchin who was raised in the system moving from six questionable foster homes after another, until she'd found herself under the care of the Russell's for six months but tragically they died in a hit and run. Which led her to running away and skipping out of the system at the age of fifteen. Doing whatever had to be done just to survive and for a morsel of food. To finding herself living in a run down gym 'Marleys' at the age of twenty four. She's as tough as nails, uncouth, rough around the edges, and will come at you swinging before you could even blink. Like a ninja with crazy knife throwing skills. She's perfectly imperfect. Dropped off at the door to the fire station, on Christmas. And you were the sixth abandoned baby that month. A foot of umbilical cord was still attached to you, pointing to a trail of bloody tracks that led to a bus stop. Thirty-one year old Ian Cooper our hero is a bit of an enigma, no one knows anything of his past, a rock star that's taken the world by storm. There's more to him than meets the eye. A man that seems to have it all. Ian ran from clingy women, dodged anything too personal, skirted the issue of love, his past, and his fears. Until...Jersey. Until a cute-meet at a local hot dog stand changes all lives significantly because out of the blue he offers Jersey a job, 'I'm going to show you the world.' Like a knight in shining armour he whisked her away from the life she knew into the glitz and glamour of a rock stars life, a true rags to riches Cinderella story. But where Jersey goes Chris goes too, they are a package deal. He's her new friend whom she befriended when he came into Marley's looking for a warm place to stay for the night. I’m flabbergasted, and completely blown away by this book. This has taken unique to a whole new level. Twists and turns, that had me reeling, backtracking to re read over what I’d just read. I loved this author before now it’s gone up a notch!! Get ready to have your socks knocked off, nothing will prepare you for this unusual unique journey this author takes you on. Tragedy. Murder. Lies. Deception. Plotting. Revenge. This book has it all. A must read!!

Ann book, did I read the right copy?, I hate heroine’s guts and sad for doormat hero stars!!!Here comes my unpopular review! I was never being so alone in the minority! You feel free to boo or have urge to throw tomatoes(tomahtoes),eggs at my head! I know too many readers liked, adored, enjoyed this book too much. As soon as I see all five stars, I thought `Hey I think I finally read her masterpiece, even better than Scarlet Stone, hurray, bring me angst, suspicion, a dark witty novel!`Well at least beginning of the books, introduction of the characters are intriguing and captured my attention so I needed to learn more! But yes there is huge `BUT`, I continue reading and here are the facts, the list of I hated deeply on this book are:*WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT JERSEY,JERSEY, interrupted , HERE’S JERSEYYY! I know she is survivor, abused, horrible childhood, living at the streets, rough skin, tough, badass girl! But I couldn’t empathize her brokenness, violent attitudes, her unbalanced emotional reactions! If she is so doubtful to trust people WHY did she trust every vindictive word comes out from Chris’s mouth? Is she is smart enough to live streets so long again WHY she is manipulated by Chris so easily? Can’t you say that the guy’s bad news, not only saying horrible things about Ian but also belittling her? Maybe he needs to carry a neon sign on his head read: `I’m a baadddd guy, duh!` so Jersey may understand she is supporting the wrong side????And finally after all the revelations, bloodshed, twists, understanding who is the evil and who is the guardian, WHY did she f*ck another man? Oh girl, I understood you may be sociopath because your killing thirst was more stronger than being loveable person from the beginning or you’re too idiot to differentiate right or wrong but after all those suffering, traumas , it’s noooottt soooo fair to cheat your lover! ( Her explanation of this situation, they’re not officially in relationship and he didn’t kiss her when he was leaving for work so she has every right to have sex with other man!!!)*AND OUR HERO Ian! Oh boy, I wish he could have run without looking back when he saw her at the hot dog stand! From the beginning he did his best to give this worst heroine the world! He was patient with her childish, immature antics, he even made striptease show to feel her emotionally better! But! I have BUTs about him, too!WHY was he so secretive from the beginning? Why didn’t he tell his identity?WHY didn’t he find a way to get rid of Chris as soon as he sees him?WHY did he let him touch Jersey and manipulate him? Why did he leave Chris and Jersey alone at his house when he was on European tour?*There is too much coincidences bring this three character together, too much repeat ( JERSEY and Ian having sex, they’re talking in codes, hiding secrets, then Chris says horrible things so Jersey decides to kill Ian, same cycle repeated over and over till the revelation part), too much compulsory and unnecessary angst !!!*At some parts I want to throw at thickest Tolstoy books on characters’ heads because they talked, acted, thought so irrational, nonsense ! I know Jewel E. Ann is one of the greatest writers. I truly know she can write dark witty romances . She has dark sense of humor and great sarcasm! But on this book I couldn’t see any wittiness ,any sarcasm or any small sign of intelligence! That’s my opinion! Take it or leave it!

The only kiss that had ever felt right. His touch felt familiar. A-million-lifetimes-ago familiar. They were the perfect kind of wrong. Now, this is why I love Jewel E. Ann’s writing so much! Her stories are always amazing and so unlike any others, I have read before. She kills me softly every time with her gut-wrenchingly angsty stories. I didn’t know what to make of this one in the beginning but as soon as the plot started to slowly unravel, I was on pins and needles waiting to get the answers to all of my burning questions. All that I knew for certain was that everything was not all as it seemed. Ian Cooper, the rock star, had my heart from the beginning but I can’t say the same for the Heroine, Jersey. She was a little too rough around the edges and aggressive. Her childhood was a living nightmare and she had good reasons to be messed up in the head but I never really warmed up to her. It was the plot and the Hero that made this book a solid five star read for me. I think it’s best to know as little as possible when diving into this one. While I figured just a tiny bit of the puzzle out from the beginning, there was so much more to the story that I didn’t see coming. I’m so in awe of this author’s talent. I have read every single one of her books and can truly say that she is one of the most gifted writers out there right now. Here are my overall ratings:Hero: 5++++++Heroine: 3.5Plot: 5++++Angst: 4.5Steam: 4.5Chemistry Between Hero & Heroine: 5”JERSEY SIX” is available on June 13th! 😭❤😩❤😭❤😩It's been 24 hours since I finished this book. These characters and their story have not left my mind. It only took 2 chapters and I was intrigued, all consumed and my mind began turning with theories, questions and What ifs. Yup! I loved it. I enjoy the edge of my seat when I'm reading. I understood her.Ian was beyond amazing, fabulous, swooning, heartmelting, THE BEST. He stole my heart. My heart that broke for him. This is a wonderful read but it's also tough and sad at some points. There's this particular scene where my heart shattered. #Tears #Sad #Beautiful "Maybe the only purpose to life is having a purpose"

Through their 5 Stars!(ARC provided by Social Butterfly PR)-"I'm going to show you the world, Jersey." Jersey Six grew up on the streets of Newark, orphaned and homeless. When her life finally looks like it's going in the right direction, it's derailed again. Her dreams are shattered, and she's left angry and desperate. She's had to fight for everything and has survived on her own for the last eight years barely existing. Then she crosses paths with a burn victim who wants to be her new friend. Through their friendship she discovers he has answers about her past, and the person responsible for altering her future. She's tired of running, and feeling lost and lonely. She wants revenge for the huge void that has taken up all the space in her heart. She makes it her mission to get close to a famous singer and take him down. She believes he took something priceless from her, and she plans to destroy him. While he's performing unforgettable concerts, she is playing a game of manipulation to ruin a rock star. "I lost my soul before I ever knew I had one. And that makes me everyone's worst fucking nightmare."-Every single thing about him had the power to destroy her if she didn't destroy him first. When Ian was with Jersey he felt drawn to her in a way he couldn't explain. She was feisty, strong, uncensored, impulsive, and unpredictable, but he wanted to spend time with her. The connection he felt couldn't be denied.Jersey had to remember what was important, and try to ignore her attraction to Ian. It had no place in her plans, but she couldn't change how he threw her off balance with one look, and jumbled all her thoughts. He made her feel completely out of control, and she hated the effect he had on her. He made her vulnerable, and had her doubting what was real. She just had to dig deeper, and find the truth. As she begins to question everything, she's conflicted, and doesn't know anymore if he's the bad guy or her savior? Jersey Six by Jewel E. Ann was absolutely fabulous!!! I loved this book so much, and couldn't put it down. It's a touching, emotional story about survival and love. It has so many twists, turns, and shockers, and is packed with secrets, lies, and humor. It was a wild ride and brilliantly written. Jewel E. Ann continues to blow my mind with her amazing books, always writing the most unique stories, and creating the most beautiful, swoony men I can't get enough of. She has quickly become one of my favorite authors. This book will definately be in my top reads for 2019. ***NOW AVAILABLE***https://amzn.to/2WyUh5C

And of course, she never disappoints! This is undoubtedly ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS of this year. So many layers and sublayers make it a virtual treasures of hidden sentimentsJaw dropping good, intensely gripping story, It leaves my mouth hanging open and all.Jewel gets very real and very raw with her narrative in this book. The sharp edged characters have hard and abrasive personalities and reading them was chafing at my heart. Thoroughly researched and precisely penned, the story resonates with some and educate others (like me), but one thing is definite, it's going to MOVE US ALL!! It is a very bold attempt to challenge herself and set a firm foot in the greyer part of her psyche, i guess. Facts, secrets, lies and revelations are all mixed up in a giant couldron of boiling revenge saga. For me it is like a multisensory experience. Waves of emotions were hitting me from all sides and my heart fluttered like a caged sparrow. The feel is of almost like the calm before the hurricane hits. Electricity is in the air, dark cloudy skies swirling and you can FEEL that something big is gonna go down. Destruction and devastation is imminent. All you can hope and pray for is that you survive along with the characters with some sort of peace and happiness left to piece together.First chapter gives you a glimpse into the hard life of a burnt, amnesiac victim and a hood rat of a girl, trying to survive in Dirty Jerz. Mere existence is a daily struggle and bartering is a currency she's forced to useJersey Six- She's an abandoned  girl who is a fighter. Hard as nails demeanour and cast iron heart make her constitution. Not to be messed with, her fists are her words, her knives her sentences. “I’m nothing…” she whispered “… insignificant … forgettable … no one would miss me if I died. No one would look for me if I were lost. No human has ever cried for me.” A hot dog stand Meet-Cute with a good looking Rockstar- Ian Cooper and two hearts won't ever be the same again!! He's  her virtual Prince Charming, swooping away Cinderella from abjection to a castle in the clouds “Jersey Six…… I’m going to show you the world.” **Sigh** if this book didn't have undertones of stark grey, I could see pink hearts and yellow flowers falling from the sky. But jewel stays true to the colour and doesn't rosy the picture to hide the glaring disparities between their lives. My heart stirred when they were together, hands held in hopeMy heart sank whenever Chris came in and tried to muddy the watersMy heart just stopped when truths got revealed one by oneMy heart flatlined when jewel decided she had one more weapon in her story- the ultimate Twist!!It's a perfect mix of fiction, romance and suspense. It's powerful, introspective, gripping, terse and heartbreaking. As the truths trickle down I was held under the deluge of various truths that jewel has skillfully buried deep in the storyTruths of painTruths of secretsTruths of guiltTruths buried so deep it mangled the psyche She wanted the impossible— the Russells still alive, a bigger vocabulary, a college degree, a normal life, relatives, maybe a boxing title, and girly nail polish . Instead … she was well on her way to killing a man who made her cheeks turn pink, going to prison, and dying from lethal injection. The narration as usual, is STUNNING! The setting is hopelessly naked, you get what you see. No embellishments. There's no unnecessary clutter of trivial details and frilly sentimental lines. It's beautiful because it' s virtuous and forthright.I'm a very visual reader, in the sense that the scenes, characters and settings come alive in my mind. I saw Characters clad in white against the backdrop plot which was artistic like a graffiti marred wall. Which could be Dirty for some, art for others. It's all a matter of perspective. The purity of Jersey and Ian's  heart shines bright like sun in the clouds. Chris drew my ire,  then sympathy and ultimately pity. His pathetic existence was mired in delusions and poisoned by hatred. I didn't know by the end if I would have to ignore him or kill him.I've read ALL NIGHT, couldn't put it down!!!!!I'm still thinking about it, hours after I've finished, which goes to show how effectual the story is. It made me a believer in hope, in happy endings and love surmounting all!! 6 stars for Demon Slayer, Dream Builder & Kidney Giver Ian #BookBistroBlogApproved Follow me :[email protected]://twitter.com/BookBistroBlogwww.instagram.com/BookBistroBloghttps://Bookbistroblogger.blogspot.comhttps://www.facebook.com/groups/BookB...

She’s a survivor first and never gave up despite how low she had to stoop to just get some food or basic necessities. It was hard and emotional to read at times because Jewel E. Ann captured Jersey’s ignorance with a brutal honesty. Jersey has missed out on so much yet despite lacking certain skills she was never a quitter. She challenges and makes me think every time and Jersey Six is no exception. Another must read from her. Another unique and memorable experience. From being in the care of different foster families to having to survive on her own, this woman has done it all and been through it all. Life was never too kind to her but she found a way to fight back and keep her ahead above water. Ian Cooper is a rock god and one of the most beloved musicians in his time. He’s rich, handsome, and he has millions of adoring fans that would do anything for him. To say that he’s on top of the world right now would be an understatement. When a quick trip to Newark New Jersey has him meeting a feisty tough homeless woman, Ian does something that would change the course of their lives and embark them on a journey that will be filled with revenge, love and justice. I really liked that this story was completely different and that there was a bit of mystery to it. These characters were strong willed, passionate, infuriating at times, and loved with everything that they had. Nothing was ever easy when it came their dynamic and their true strength showed. If you’re looking for a sexy revenge filled rock star romance with a bit of suspense, then this one is for you.

Ann’s writing, characters and stories and this one levels the playing field. It has the unwavering grit of her Jack & Jill series, the desperate and unyielding romance of Undeniably You and the absolutely mind blowing suspense of Transcend and Epoch. I knew, I just KNEW about a quarter of the way into this book that it would wreck me. I was coming to love a character I should hate and not really sure why I should hate them. I was coming to distrust a character I loved and couldn’t make sense of how JEA was totally throwing my mind of kilter. This book touches on SO many tough and authentic subjects such as homelessness, PTSD and mental illness, sexual abuse, physical and mental abuse, trauma, abandonment, amnesia and JEA does it well. So freaking well. The relationship that develops between Jersey and Chris, their cohabitation and friendship was so genuine and touching. I really enjoyed the portrayal of their mutual dependence upon each other and how they found safe company in each other. Then Ian enters their lives and their whole world is ripped away while the world itself is handed to them on a silver platter. Jersey’s life with Ian is tumultuous and confusing at times. They crash together like waves breaking upon a cliff. Both molding each other into what comes next and unable to stop the rolling of the tide. I was intrigued, I was appalled, I was in their clutches and then I was shocked. I loved how messy and beautifully their relationship blossomed and their feelings developed. I could feel the desperation behind their moments together. The big revelations in this truly shocked me. I had one of them guessed around 50% ... but that’s not saying much because I was still thinking to myself, “If this ends up being true, this is CRAZY.” Well let me tell you folks, it was true and then the crazy train just kept on barreling down on me. The next plot twist came and knocked me off my feet. A true mind bender. And it all made sense. It made perfect sense.Jersey has secrets we know and an insatiable desire for revenge. Ian is holding something back that he knows will change the way Jersey looks at him forever. Perhaps she will never wish to look at him again for the crimes he’s committed. Overall, this one definitely ties with Undeniably You for my favorite JEA book and that’s saying a lot, because I feel very strongly about that book and the fact it made me cry for basically the last half of it. 😂 I highly, highly recommend this book if you enjoy romance in the vein of Colleen Hoover. I haven’t seen anyone write such emotional and gripping but romantic stories as her and Jewel E. Ann.I also have never read a “rock star” romance because I felt as though it wouldn’t be my cup of tea but I feel like I could definitely jump upon the bandwagon now. 😂SPOILER BELOWSPOILER, but I have to say it: (view spoiler)[And Chris - omg Chris - his character became so manipulative and such a driving force behind Jersey’s actions. I was like, “Who is this guy and where did our friend go?” He became so toxic, but I really loved the way JEA portrayed his arc and the influence he had on Jersey. His personality change versus Ian’s personality were exactly how I guessed the plot twist regarding Chris - though I did not anticipate the story of what actually happened to him. I loved this twist though, it was great. (hide spoiler)]This book was provided to me by the publisher and author in exchange for an honest review.——————-May 13th, 2019:COVER REVEAL on my blog tomorrow, Library in the Country. :D

At least that's what happened to me and every book that I tried after just felt like "meh". “Be brave and run fast” 5 dysfunctional stars.I have loved other books by Jewel E Ann but I think so far this is my favorite!  “When she was sixteen, Jersey had sex in a red sports car for a bag of groceries, a blanket, and a pair of shoes. Another time, she exchanged a blowjob for a tube of antibiotic ointment for a festering wound on her heel. Jersey and desperation had an intimate relationship. For revenge … she would do anything.” How far would you go for revenge really is the key sentence to the story.Jersey Six is:Brutal;Raw;Intricate;Lethal;Lonely;Impenetrable;Addictive;Numb;Toxic. Brutal like Jersey’s life and fists. She reminded me of the movie “Million Dollar Baby” when she fought all the time, pummeling men bigger than her. Jersey could be an add for the worse that you can find in the foster system. So horrific that it was better for her to live homeless than take the risk to land in another family with a smelly pervert old man who would do disgusting things to little girls. “A hundred years of wear on a twenty-something body. Tiny scars scattered along her skin, ghosts of the past. Jersey had a story to tell, a story Ian needed to learn to silence the voice in his head.”  Raw like Jersey’s confessions. OMG when she confided some stories of her past with Ian I did not know if I should cry, vomit or both!  Intricate because the plot is so well thought! I had guessed some and was pretty confident that, “Haha Jewel! I guessed the truth!” (add a look of triumph here) when Bam! I did not see that left hook coming and I was left knocked out! Unexpected twist! Lethal because there are killers in that story. Some killed to survive, to stop the abuse. Others killed by mistake and dumbness. But people died that’s for sure! Sometimes run over by a car or gutted by a knife like a fish from throat to genitals or other had their head exploded by a baseball bat. Take your pick! Lonely because that’s how Jersey’s life has been. Rejected by her mom, not fit to be adopted she has been left one way or another by any people who counted for her. Always left to fend for herself in that cruel life, forced to go to whatever end to survive. Impenetrable like Ian’s mind and secrets. His past his better guarded than Fort Knox! Never revealing anything about his past. Never disclosing his real motives. This added so much mystery! Addictive because I had to know and read till the wee hours of morning!  Numb like Jersey when she sold her body to get some antibiotic salve or something to eat. Sex was meaningless for her just something to barter with. But when she kissed Ian she was far from numb! Kissing was her holy grail! Toxic as that’s how I saw her relationship with Chris after some time. I did not like at all how he pushed her, goaded Jersey to make sur she did not forget her revenge. At the end of the story, all these characters has been roughed up by life, beat up and left with deep scars. But you know what? “Bunnies still hop with one ear.” To sum it up: this story is brutal, dysfunctional and heartbreaking! Just read it! Have you read Jewel's books? How do you feel about raw and brutal books? Thanks for reading! I have no words. What an amazing story! I am keeping this short and sweet as to not give anything away. Jersey is a survivor and that is her truth. While I did not agree with a decision she made late in the book, it was completely in character for her. Shocker after shocker had me sucked into this book and I did not want it to end.

Did slaying monsters make her one too? This is a life story, a love story, and a tragedy all rolled into one. I enjoyed this read because while it gutted me at times, it also filled up my heart and made me smile as well. Jersey Six is a girl who grew up in a tainted system, and then survived by herself in an even more tainted world. She is dangerous because she is a survivor. Honestly. Reading the blurb to this one is how you should go in. That’s all the info you should know to truly enjoy it. How she came to be the homeless, tough, gritty, street-smart and hardened woman that she was. I ate up the pages, trying to figure out how she and her amnesiac burn-victim and also homeless friend, Chris, and rock star Ian were all going to fit together and all play nicely in the sandbox to get my to my happy ending. Because we ALL know Jewel E Ann gives us happy endings, right? RIGHT???!!!???? Go ahead and insert a massive eyeroll here!!! She is the reason for that meme going around that says something like"When I open this book back up, I better not have read what I thought I just read".Trust me when I say you just have to pick this one up for yourself. Walk through the fire with these characters. Glimpse at their pain, because not many of us could bravely stare at it too long or walk even for a moment in their shoes. There are harsh realities within the pages. Some brutal truths. But at the center of it all there is unfathomable love, a peek at compassion, chances at redemption.I could quote a dozen different things that touched my heart from this one. But the one I'm never going to forget, and the one that makes me choke up just typing it...and I should never forget..."Bunnies still hop with one ear."It'll all make sense once you read this, and read it you should!

The revenge was Pure e-v-i-l but the plot twist just got me shook!.I was not ready for this, heck I was not ready for the revelation. My mind was working just fine until everything in this story went upside down and all the secrets started revealing. "Ever been Beaten by a girl Coop? or do you always have bodyguards protecting your delicate little ass?" I can just warn but nothing can prepare you from this extraordinary, spectacular, tragedic, romantic story written by this author. Jewel E. Ann has become my favorite author and This is officially one of my favorite books! I could relate Jersey Six with Raven carver so much! Their story is quite similar but Jersey is more mature but irresponsible and short tempered. I didn't like how she used violence in every simple thing, and yes she was stupid even though she tried to deny it and hit everyone who said that. The characters drew me towards them and I showed sympathy to all of them for their story, even Chirs! This was a jaw dropping, intense story! full of hot chemistry and motive of vengence I wanted to cry at some point while reading because this book was utterly fantastic, Jersey Six and Ian are two different people from two different worlds but somehow their past is the same Jersey Six is narrated by a third person leaving Jersey Six and Ian in the enigma, But both of their feelings and perspectives were vividly written. It releases on June 13th, I surely would regreted if I missed reading this and I hope you won't do this mistake. would you? because I highly recommend it to read and prepare yourself for the roller coaster ride of Tragedy, murder, abuse, sex, lies, plotting, lust, and love" Jersey Six" He reached up and gave the hat a gentle tug.. What can I even say about JERSEY SIX?! I’m still new to Jewel E. Ann’s writing but once again, she blew me away! What a wild ride this book was! The best stories are the ones when you really don't know which way it's going to turn and Jersey Six brought it! Jersey Six is a tale of redemption, revenge, and love. It’s going to keep you guessing and swooning and trying to predict what’s going to happen next!

There’s twist and turns that left me with the BIGGEST OMG WTH face. I was NOT expecting that turn of events but Jewel’s made it perfect to come full circle with her story. I can’t say much. This book it’s better experience going blind to get the full effect. I can’t wait for you to read it. The path these characters lives have taken is intensely harrowing...if you are looking for a light read, move along. However, if you can handle the cruelty this world dishes out and the fight to justice and redemption is your style, then do yourself a favor and read this book. It is deeply layered with deceits and lies, truths and harsh realities, champions of the heart and villains of the worst kind. Jersey is one of my favorite characters written. She is positively a force to be reckoned with and I adored her!I refuse to give anything away that’ll spoil it but trust that you will fall in love with these characters even when they’re “terrible people”. I love everything Jewel E Ann writes! Jersey Six is no exception!! This is an amazingly gripping and moving story that I could not put down! It delves into so many areas that are realistic and relevant on what goes on for many being in the system but not only that there are so many layers to this story - manipulation, mysteries, twists, growth, strength and realizations. It all comes to a surprising end in true Jewel E Ann fashion. I loved it!

I feel like this one is going to really stir up some emotions leading to some heated debates and discussions....and that's what I'm here for!! Bring'em on!!I know I am always saying I love Jewel's books - I will never hide the fact that she is one of my favorite authors. I love her angst. I love the way she twists a story completely out of left field. She always gives me the most intimate scenes ever, and they are usually hard ones to get through. But most of all, I love the way she gives me the story I'm always craving - one that is deeper than the words she is using to tell it. One that takes a certain level of realization; slowing down and really listening to the story she is telling me. And here I am, once again.....discussing yet another twisty tale of perfection, complete with a a tear or two. Yes, I had to actually admit to her that the sadness and reality between two completely different worlds can be that vast and cruel.Jersey Six was definitely a book that gave me a deeper look into some seriously deprived lives. But this was also the dirty and gritty side to the beginning of an unknown love story. I loved Jersey's anger mixed with HIS smiles. It was the PERFECT dynamic. Jersey's story is a slow build with an intense ending. With Jewel, her intricacies and depth are a married emotion that provides a complexity - unmatched. This complexity allows me to to walk away and ponder and work through all the emotions she is causing me, without feeling like I am going to forget something when I step away. How she manages to infuse humor into something so heartbreaking is beyond me. Whether I have to stop or want to reflect on her words, it never ceases to amaze me the quality of her stories. This dynamic is beyond intriguing. So many variables between the characters. "Revenge held its own intimacy." There is a deeper side to Him that I was very......suspicious about. So I kept reading, because I needed to know. His strength, though? Holy shite. By the time I got to the end, I wanted to hug Him and Jersey so bad. His character defines the true meaning of genuine. Real. Heartfelt. Honest. Sincere. I honestly read this book with an air of pessimism the entire time. I was so gun-shy on how I was processing everything because at first glance, nothing was as easy as it appeared. "Pain wasn't worth an apology." Jewel E Ann does not tell the same story twice. I have gotten many messages on the book and while the confusion is there....go with it. Follow it as she’s telling you because while I did drop a tear with a sad realization, it was a pretty deep book with a lot more meaning than I anticipated. I like how JEA dives into the complexities of her characters. This was NOT an easy book to read. There will be some parts that may make you side-eye the characters. There will be some that may have you questioning their motives. And there will be some that make you furious.....but push through that anger. I want you to really see the emotion that is Jersey and who she really is. And why.Jewel E. Ann has a way of making her readers uncomfortable, but for good reason. I love that she is able to put me in her characters’ minds while she manipulates my emotions as if it were child’s play, yet - I love it every single time."Every single thing about him had the power to destroy her if she didn't destroy him first.~BEEPURCHASE on AMAZON - Kindle Unlimited (AA): https://amzn.to/2KSSVAuENTER HERE FOR YOUR CHANCE TO WIN AN ECOPY: http://bit.ly/2x1mEii
