Despite the shelter her adoptive parents have provided her entire life, Nina's psychic abilities have always hung over her like a shadow. The very powers that should give her strength have driven her to isolate herself. But lately, her craving for companionship — a mate — has become stronger than her fear. One foolish decision puts her life at great risk. And also provides a wondrous discovery... Aduun, Vortok, and Balir have existed in a state of constant rage and ravenous hunger for centuries, locked away in the beastly forms that were forced upon them. Their only thoughts were of revenge on their Creator — until a mysterious female falls into their underground prison, restoring their heartstones and their sanity. They know nothing about her, yet she may be their only chance at reclaiming their freedom. Unable to deny their intense attraction, they set out together to escape their Creator’s trap and rescue their lost people. Can they keep Nina safe and persevere in a world designed to destroy them?------- *Sequel to Undying (Valos of Sonhadra #7) by Tiffany Roberts *The Valos of Sonhadra series is the shared vision of nine sci-fi and fantasy romance authors. Books 1-9 are standalone, containing their own Happy Ever Afters, and can be read in any order.

If you have a favourite author of the bunch and don't want to read them all don't worry, each book can be read as a standalone. The background story for each book is the same, A prison ship which crashed onto Sonhadra, aboard the ship, there were scientist performing experiments on the female prisoners. This resulted in some of the test subjects, those who didn't die horribly, having some extraordinary abilities.  It also made it easier for them to survive on the alien planet they have crashed on. Sonhadra, the planet they have landed on, is inhabited by valos. The valos come in different factions and all have unique abilities and appearances of their own. In Unleashed we have moved forward in time from the other books in the series. It's almost Valos of the Sonhadra: The Next Generation.  Our heroine Nina was born on Sonhadra and inherited her deceased mothers psychic abilities. Her mother died when she was a toddler but she was luckily rescued by Orishok and Quinn, the hero and heroine from Undying. However, her psychic abilities have kept her separated from the other inhabitants of the Sonhadra as she finds it hard in groups of people. But, when she gets lost and falls into a hidden cave network, she stumbles on to some unknown valos and she must learn to embrace her powers if she and the males she is falling in love with are to survive. The Valos of Sonhadra series is where I first discovered Tiffany Roberts who has now become one of my favourite sci-fi romance authors. If you haven't tried her Kraken series, you really need to give it a try, or if you are in the mood for some fantasy, her Isle of the Forgotten series is fantastic. But, as much as I enjoy her other series', I do have a soft spot for this one as Undying is a favourite and where I first discovered the husband-wife writing team. I also enjoy that we get to revisit some previous characters, mainly Orishok and Quinn. We also get a glimpse of how society on Sonhadra is progressing with all the new people and valos mixing after more than a decade on the planet. But, as exciting as that is, it's the romance that I was looking forward to, especially as it was a reverse harem story. I have been looking for reverse harem stories, as I love to see how the dynamics work between the small group of people. Roberts doesn't disappoint as we get to meet 3 very different males, who differ in not only appearance (if you like your aliens alien, then roll right up!) but in personality as well. This book also had a lot of action, it had a sci-fi romance meets the Hunger Games vibe to it. Our heroine and heroes had to survive a variety of different and deadly landscapes thrown at them by an evil controller who was intent on killing them before they could reach their destination. This added a lot excitement to the romance, as they were falling in love, getting used to their "humanity" (or valosanity?) again after a millennia and trying to survive. If you love sci fi romance like me, especially if you love some very alien looking aliens then this book, in fact this series, is a must read. Sexy, romantic and packed full of action, it won't disappoint.

This was one sweet and sexy read! Thoroughly enjoyed this story. It was so nice to visit Sonhadra again, and it warmed my heart how the authors gave closure to their characters in every way.

Another great installment from this writer duo. Giving us another slice of life from the Valos of Sonhadra Series. Set even moreso in the future this is a Nina’s story. Terrified of her powers and scared to be around any of the other valos or their human companions... she’s resigns herself to a life alone. Until she inadvertently falls into the scales, hooves and claws of three beast valos. The original valos that we’re experimented on by the creator Kelsharn. Another original and Cracking story. I loved that it was even further into the future and gave us a look at our favourite humans and valos. That death personified became a daddy 🖤🖤🖤I really liked the reverse harem aspect in this... the 3 guys, A, V and B were all unique and the fact that despite being tribe mates and friends... they didn’t want to share Nina. I enjoyed the dynamics and loved how they all came to ‘work things out’ despite the perils along their individual and united journey.

So goodThis was a great story. Now I'll admit I haven't read all the Valos books, and I didn't find it that hard to keep up. But if you like to keep story details a surprise until you get to them with no spoilers at all then you should definitely read them in order. If you can deal with a few spoilers and don't mind shifting gears and going backwards in the timeline, then have at it and I don't think there's any thing that would stop you from understanding of enjoying this book alone/out of order So goodThis was a great story. Ok how for the story itself it was great. Just some much packed into this one book. So many up and downs and tons of character growth. The story flows well and this world of wonderfully interconnected stories just continues to grow and flesh out in more ways than we could have hoped. Nina, Vortok, Aduun, and balir all went through so much and managed to come out the other side. Those men, wooo boy I'll take me some of that they were strong and caring and each had their own unique strengths and faults both new and old to contend with. And you could see some of their struggles with themselves mirrored in Nina. And Nina really found herself and becomes a strong woman without losing any of her kindness or sweetness. And that ending, I couldn't imagine a better HEA. This story has love, passion, growth, struggles in a variety of ways as well as action and suspense; it was a great book would recommend

One thing I love about these authors is their imagination; this book reminded me of Last Hour of Gann, and Venomous (two sci-fi favourites of mine). You get immersed in the ordeal the MCs go through, and they go through a lot! There is insta-lust between the three alien/monster-y heroes and the heroine, but you have to wait for the sexy times. There is a fine line between being romantic and being cheesy. Tiffany Roberts write excellent love stories with lovable characters, but a menage should be dirtier...I don't think it's easy to achieve, but I know they can do it.Also, there is no m-m interaction in the story, which I appreciate.Maybe I screwed up writing this review, it is siesta time and the foreign language part of my brain is not working much.

Just OK I'm a fan of Tiffany and Roberts books . That being said , I'm disappointed with this book . It possessed great characters with interesting back stories . Personally I think the Valos books have run their course . I'll remain a fan of TR and will still look forward to their future books . 😸

I do enjoy the Valos of Sonhadra books. Tiffany Roberts' newest one is a stand-out adventure in that world. The heroine, Nina, is the daughter (by adoption) of Quinn and Orishok (Undying). She was born to one of the women from the prison ship that crashed onto Sonhadros.Once Nina was grown, Quinn and Orishok leave her in their city alone, as she wished, while they go to visit the stone Valos. Much trials and tribulation occur that will keep you on the edge of your seat and gasping at how some of the events occur. There is an HEA for Nina. We get to see a little more of Quinn and Orishok (my favorite pairing of the original Valos books). I do think you could read this book on its own and still enjoy it.

What an amazing story!Wow. A girl just wants to go out for a bit of adventure on her own and look what happens! Adventure, she gets. Nina drops into an incredibly dangerous situation with three valos raging out of control in beast form. Once that situation is defused, more adventures begin. It seems their ‘maker’ has set them up! The story has many twists and turns - each surprise leaving me wondering “What next?” And, yes, delicious romance!

Nice Addition to the Planet It was a good addition to the series. The struggles she had with her mates seemed real but overall seemed kinda rushed. Her unique abilities worked well with them. Spoilers:I didn't really understand why the maker was hanging out on the planet when all the others were gone. Or how he had the power to create a world within a world. I also didn't understand how the new tribe was able to live with stones that weren't blooded. 3.5 stars. It was a pretty good read. The events in the story were well described and interesting. The weirdest thing for me was the description of one of the three hero’s... well... his dick. The heroine said it was as long as her forearm and thicker than her wrist. I’m sorry, but that is horrendously large and there surely is no woman alive (especially a virgin) who could have pleasurable full penetration sex with THAT as easily as she did. That aspect of the story was pretty jarring personall 3.5 stars. It was a pretty good read. The events in the story were well described and interesting. What an amazing read! This story was so different from what I usually read. Aliens but not. Beings turned into beasts then caged away only to be saved by a human woman. Many steamy parts mixed in. I'd give this 10 stars If I could

Love it!As with all Tiffany Roberts books you can't simply read it once. The day after finishing this book I had to re-read it. Someone needs to turn every T.R's book into a movie or mini series. Everyone of them is awesome!
