The Vampire King's Mate (Fate of Imperium, #2)
For five long years, Viktor, The Heartless King of Prajna, has ignored the cicatrice on his palm. The birthmark, which awakens only when a vampire’s fated mate is soon to cross his path, is a complication he does not need. A chance encounter with his true mate unexpectedly rocks him to the core. Unwilling to deny the pull of her soul to his, he bonds with the female, believing he can handle the one major obstacle standing in his way of happiness. When Eden’s betrothal to the Wolf King of the North falls through, she rejoices. For the first time in her life, she believes her fate is her own. She later finds out how very wrong she was, and runs headfirst into the arms of a vampire. Soon, nefarious forces work against the pair. While Viktor tries to protect his mate, Eden learns the consequences of falling for a king who has no heart.***The Vampire King's Mate is the second book in the Fate of Imperium Series. Each book is the story of a different king and his fated mate. While the three books do not have to be read in order, it is highly recommended.

Holy moly Batman, that was even better than the first book. Eden and Viktor are the perfect compliments to each other’s personalities. The strife in this story weren’t as on going as they were in book one but all the more dangerous with all these betrayals cutting so deep. I absolutely love Viktor and his contrary personality, he’s the Heartless King but he’s so much more than the image he put off. The ending is sweet and brought tears to my eyes, I very much look forward to reading Evelyn’s sto Holy moly Batman, that was even better than the first book. This was a great next installment in the Imperium series! It follows Viktor, "The Heartless King" of Prajna, aka vampires, and Eden, oldest daughter of the King of Gwydion. You don't need to have read the first book, as the author provides a lot of recap information, but I highly recommend it just so you have a good grasp what is going on with certain plots. This was an absorbing and well-crafted paranormal romance that I really enjoyed. It took a few chapters for the story to really get going, but once it did I was hooked.Viktor's kingdom has been cursed ever since Viktor killed his evil father and seized the throne. There hasn't been child born since that day, nor have any vampires found their fated mates. Viktor is seeking the counsel of Theron the wise man when he stumbles upon Eden, and immediately realizes she's his mate. She agrees to return to Prajna with him, and things seem to go swimmingly, but Viktor has a big secret he's keeping from her. There's also the small problem of the secret order that will kill her before they see her on the throne of the vampire kingdom. I wasn't sure I liked Victor at first...he was putting off a distinct 50 shades vibe and that's just not my thing. But I love the direction the author took him in! Eden was a great heroine with a cool power, and I looooooved Viktor's brother Luka. I can't wait for the next book!*I received an advanced copy of this title in exchange for an honest review.

Complementing charactersI liked this book than the first, I felt that this has more in depth substance as it should be because its the continuation of the first, though this is a standalone and only interconnected through the heroine of the 1st book. Both main characters suit each other, in a way that they both fit the bill with their character difference - perfect for each other. World building is good, steam and sizzle is quite enough with great ending also. Oh my! This was such a delicious book to read, intensely passionate and very romantic. The vampire king did not realize how much his treasured mate would change him and his kingdom. But it was so sweet and thrilling that there was a very happy ending for Eden and her vampire mate!I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Love this series. He has gotten his kingdom cursed because of what he did. The reason for it was a sound one. But has long lasting ramifications. He is visiting someone else and finds out a woman he runs into is his mate. But again they have problems. I can't wait for the next one. Lots of intrigue, emotions, danger, suspense, hot scenes and so much more. I received a review copy from booksprout and voluntarily review it.

This is a good book. C.A Worley does a great job of putting together all the elements of fantasy, romance, action, suspense and adventure that will keep the reader hooked till the end. The male and female protagonists are likable in a fantasy world of Imperium. The plot is interesting and the character building is done remarkably well. Victor is a male with all the alpha qualities that only a female like Eden can tackle with, (My kind of Romance). There's lots of steamy sex and romance along the This is a good book. The world building is good enough. I wish there was something more about Luka and Bianca in the Epilogue. But overall it is an intriguing read, so a must read for all the fantasy/paranormal lovers out there.I received a complimentary ARC of the book by the author. I am sorely tempted to read the first book in the series and looking forward to read the third one.

Great readThe tale continues and even better than the first book. Really good secondary characters and touches of humor. Romance with a happy ending and worthy characters for our hero and heroine. It's not too often I end of liking both main characters so this was a treat of a read. Can't wait to read the next telling.

A wonderful addition to a great series. This book seamlessly picks up where the Wolf King's Bride ended. Of course there's the happily ever after for the two main characters but that's where any predictability ends. I was surprised by many of the revelations and events that unfolded while reading. I look forward to the next book in the series.
