Luckily, Anna seems to be on board with this plan as just looking at the sexy golden alien makes her want to ride him into the sunset. This romance was more on the erotic side compared to most of the romances I read, so I would definitely recommend this if you like your romances to be red hot. Especially if you like your hero to be dominant and demanding in the bedroom. The sex scenes, of which there were quite a few, were great Phillips certainly knows how to get you all hot and bothered. However, to enable myself to enjoy this book I did have to try really hard to not think about certain things. For example, if I had just been kidnapped by hostile aliens about to sell me into sex slavery, I probably wouldn’t be getting horny looking at the unconscious but undeniably hot guy in the next cell over. But I understand the author wanted to get across their overwhelming chemistry, I guess I wasn’t quite buying it.But, I did enjoy this book. Granted it didn’t set my world alight and it had more sex in it than I usually prefer; however, it was still a lot of fun to read. Phillips also intrigued me with some of her secondary characters, especially the scarred and fierce Dragar. When I fancy reading some extra sexy alien romance, I know I’ll be picking up the next book.*Reviewed by Suzanne❤ ♡ Don't want to miss any of our posts? Subscribe to our blog by email! ♡ ❤

If any of these types of situations are a trigger, or offensive to you, then this may not be the book or series for you. This story has a lot of action of various types from the very beginning. It is not often that I actually feel sorry for the circumstances that a romance story places its characters, but I had a few moments of it during this story. That is not to say that I didn't enjoy it, because I did and was able to get lost into the story for a little while at a time. I especially liked being able to imagine what the various places looked like as the author described them. Here is a highlevel overview of how the story begins:Anna had been on vacation when she was asked to return and help her boss close a business deal. She still had 3 days left and shouldn't have been on the flight, but it must have been fate. The plane was small and they started to hit a lot of turbulance before an explosion brought the plane down. Anna was knocked out by the impact and when she woke up, it was to find that she was one of the lucky ones. The plane was ripped apart and she could see burning wreckage all around her. Then she hears her seat-mate moaning and she finds her alive, but with a couple of broken bones and a bleeding wound. Anna removes her top to try and stop the bleeding, but doesn't realize someone is behind her until her seat-mate makes a noise. Unfortunately it was too late ...Anna woke up gradually to the sound of engines humming. She started to feel every ache from the crash and all of the memories of what happened came back to her. This brings her fully awake, she realizes that she is in a small cage and her clothing has been changed to a thin white shift and nothing else. As she is cataloguing the various hurts, a brief, but painful, memory returns of being strapped to a cold metal table while two sets of hands twisted and probed various places of her body.Quickly she checks to see if it was possible she was raped, but only finds bruises. Anna looks around and realizes that something is definitely wrong. She finds three other occupied cages and none of them are filled by humans ... I don't want to give any spoilers or twists away, so I will stop there. I hope you enjoy this story as much as I did.

This book is a great start to a new series. The H and h have amazing chemistry, very hot and steamy, and the characters connect on a deeper level, too. Love the action that pushes the narrative forward. Anna proves that she's courageous and caring despite hardships. Secondary characters add intriguing foils to the two main characters. Looking forward to other books in this series!

Anna and the Alien definitely counts as erotic science fiction romance. There's A LOT of sex in this book. However, it's well-written and plotted and there is a good, solid story.

Just OK - had all the right elements but it didn't translate well and I skipped here and there. Way too much telling, which made both lead characters very boring. The secondary characters were more interesting, but we only had glimpses about them before tedious details got in the way. If the book was written with a focus on showing, a reduction in tedious descriptive language it would be a shorter and better read.

Anna and the Alien is the first book in the Alien Abduction series by Honey Phillips. Generally, I tend to avoid sci-fi romance I usually have a very hard time getting into them. I had no problem at all with this one. The cast of characters in this book is pretty small compared to most of the books that I read. Although there aren’t many characters in this book they are all very realistic (for being aliens!). The characters all of their own personalities and were very developed. I really enjoyed reading about all of their interactions with each other and the situations they went through. A couple of times I was laughing my butt off and smiling like crazy. While it was a fairly short book a lot happened. At one point I went to see how much of the book that I had left and was sad that I was only a chapter or two from the end. Overall, I recommend this book and I am looking forward to reading more in this series!*I received a free copy of the book for review from the author via Voracious Readers Only*

I enjoyed this book and would have rated it 5 stars but for only a couple of reasons: There is a bit of lag in the action through the middle part of the book and the action isn't as exciting as it could be. The first part is great (on board the spaceship) but it starts to slow down after that. There could be so much done with the potential saboteur. Overall I thought this author did a great job with the story and I would recommend it to others. There is explicit sex, but it's not overdone. DNF - rape warningI read this through KU. Initially it was merely racey/edgy content with bad editing. But, I like stories centered around survival on a new world so I stuck with it. However, around 70% I bailed because so-called hero calls main his slave, chains her to his bed and despite her repeatedly SAYING NO, he forces sexual acts upon her. Totally disgusting as AF. Can't say how much I detest this book. Will NOT be reading anything further from this author. And btw, if your main character DNF - rape warningI read this through KU. I totally enjoyed reading about Anna. The story had intrigue and drama mixed in with hot, spicy attraction. I was taken aback by the quickness of the attraction but then again, it fit right into the story. There were villains and saviors, although not the kind you would normally think as such. An excellent new Sci-Fi Romance series! What starts out as a really bad day for both Anna and Jakkar (worlds apart) is the beginning of an unparalleled romance. Misunderstandings are inevitable when you are not the same species / culture, but desire and need can surmount many obstacles. This small, eclectic group of stranded survivors comprise the necessary elements for a great sci-fi book. Read and enjoy! I’m eagerly awaiting Dragar’s story.

So SweetTwo captives finding solace in one another? Yes, please. Jakkar is a big macho warrior alien dying from wounds. Anna is taken from Earth and told to keep him alive or she died too. Either they both live or both die. Well, she's not a doctor, but she does what she can. It's a sweet story with decent depth. I like how one of the slavers isn't really that bad. He turns his life around in a good way, and that was a pleasant aspect. Minimum errors, decent plot.
