A bit of humor before the final story arc, via a bunch of stories by guest artists and writers that poke fun at the self-indulgent self-importance of "The Wicked + The Divine" and its creators. Not to be read by anyone who hasn't gotten as far as the end of the "Mothering Invention" arc! There are a few spoilers for the tail end of the series. A few of the bits are funny, with the high point for me being a Hanna-Barbera parody, in the spirit of the Scooby Gang/Josie and the Pussycats crossover, A bit of humor before the final story arc, via a bunch of stories by guest artists and writers that poke fun at the self-indulgent self-importance of "The Wicked + The Divine" and its creators. A few of the bits are funny, with the high point for me being a Hanna-Barbera parody, in the spirit of the Scooby Gang/Josie and the Pussycats crossover, that works disturbingly well. Other bits assume that you know the creators of the series well enough for the jokes to land, and appropriately enough, they land about as well as a cell phone thrown in disgust.

This is everything I could have hoped for in this issue! It was fantastic, funny, and just enough groan worthy puns to keep the pages a turnin'!It made me forget for half a moment that the end is nigh...

This anthology book is some surprisingly light fare playing with the concepts and characters of The Wicked + The Divine in most clever ways. This includes fun variations like what if the gods were all reincarnated as dogs or what if they were all characters in a Scooby-Doo style cartoon. It's easy reading that makes for some great fan service.Main downside: the foreward for the book reminds you that the comic series is coming to an end.

The last bit with the puns... I was laughing so much that my husband stopped playing NHL 99 on the N64 to see what all the hubbub was. Puns were appreciated by all, and I enjoyed Laura's facial expressions even more than usual.

Pretty funny stuff. A nice range of creators, including some of my faves like Chip Zdarsky. Kieron Gillen is one of the creators I'm most familiar with in a "personal" way, reading his newsletter and such. The scenes where he and Jamie McKelvie showed up were always funny.Yep, good stuff.

Wow, this is REALLY bad!The WicDiv one-shot specials were never something to write home about, but this one has hit rock bottom. Literally. There no plot, no character development, no secret reveal, nothing. Just puns, and bad ones too. Trust me, don't buy this.

A cute issue, but definitely skipable.

It was okay. Some of the shorts are fun - I'm especially happy to see Hamish Steele featured, and I liked the Scooby Doo pastiche -, others are just not very interesting.
