So much happens in this book, it is action packed and Wila seems to have to save everyone at some point but somehow she still had time to do the sweet (ok I mean hot) stuff too. Which made it a really great mix for me.If you've read the other 3 books then I really don't need to convince you. Do I?And if you haven't Then Jaysus why have you not? Do I need to remind you Wila drinks tea! TEA NOT COFFEE therefore she is awesome and needs to be appreciatedgo appreciate it already!

CITY OF WAR tied the Chronicles of Acana series up in a pretty little bow. CITY OF WAR was fast paced with a nice battle that ended the major conflict of the series. I enjoyed the twists and revelations the last book brought forth. It's a good thing that this series was geared more towards urban fantasy than reverse harem because the romance really didn't do much for me. It's not that I didn't like the guys, it's that the romance portions of the book just didn't make me swoon. I found the romantic relationship between Wila and Sebastian kinda creepy. I mean, they were born together like twins—and I know they technically aren't— and he called Willa's mom mother. It just felt icky to me and I didn't get it and definitely wasn't feeling it. I wish we would have gotten more from the epilogue. We see that the cast of characters got their happily ever after, but I still kinda wanted to see more of how they got there. Wanting more = a win in my book.I gave it 3.5 stars* This book was provided free of charge from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

This was a really great conclusion to the series! Seb is totally my favorite character. The romance was wrapped up sweetly (and hotly, don't worry). The action was fast paced and exciting. I had a hard time putting City of War down! 4.5 stars.

This was a great series to introduce me to this author, one that has me excited to check out her backlist and all future books. I know I mentioned this in my reviews for the other books in this series but I have to say again that part of the reason I really connected with this series so much was because of my great love of TV shows like Buffy/Angel. The cast of characters is large and their teamwork to battle the villains is a lot of fun. The first book started out with a very slow burn for the various relationships and I loved that, but things amped up fairly quickly after that and I probably would have preferred it stayed slow burn in terms of more emotional development on page (I was fine with the physical development) but that is a pretty small quibble because really, the romances were more woven into the overall story rather than being the entire story - if what I mean by that even makes sense. The writing and editing is very good quality, and I love the humor that is peppered here and there throughout the series, though less so in the last couple books due to the gravity of the situations they were in. I would have been happy to keep reading about these characters for a while, but based on the way it ended I think was the last book for this group, so I'll be off to discover her other characters now.

City of War is a bit bittersweet for me. It marks the end of the Chronicles of Arcana. Having said that, it was a very fast paced and everything I was looking for it to be. We join Wila along with her group to rescue her kindred and stop the evil queen. In City of War Wila has a lot to deal with. She has to rescue Tay from his slumber. Oh and then save Azren from the evil queen. I really enjoyed that Wila gets some one on one time with all of her guys, which hot steamy sex scenes do happen as well. I have enjoyed the evolution with all of her guys from the beginning to this fantastic ending. I was very happy with the ending. City of War is fast paced with a lot happening but easy to follow. There are scenes that are sweet, and on the other hand a few that will leave you with a tear or two. Overall I would recommend this series, and definitely in reading order.

Fabulous conclusion to a thrilling Urban Fantasy series. All the books in this series have this epic heroine and her harem of wonderfully sexy cohorts. This is a fast-paced, action-packed, steamy, intriguing, engaging and entertaining series. Wonderful reading, excellent world-building, great character development and a storyline that has this overworked heroine racing around saving her guys and the world while also having her chemistry filled interactions. What a wonderful ending to this epic series of book, I cried, I laughed and I wouldn't put the book down until it was finished. This set of books got better and better with each additional book and the final book in this series didn't disappoint, Full of Action, Love and where needed humour, we couldn't have asked for a better finale. This is a must read for any UF or RH fans especially those who like C N Crawford or Jasmine Walt.

I really loved this Reverse harem series. The MFC was gutsy and determined and the men didn’t try and hold her back or tell her she couldn’t do something which younfind a lot in the RH genre. City of dark was a perfect ending that ended with a bit of cliff hanger which I Assume well segue into another series. Highly recommended

City of War is the final installment in the Chronicles of Arcana series. It's been a wonderful ride and I've been fully invested in the series since book 1. An excellent conclusion to the overall storyline, with an open ending to allow for more adventures or an offshoot series. Love all the characters and the unique world-building/plot.

Intense. This word sums up this book nicely. The author actually made me cry. Made me cry. Really. That is how immersed this author makes the reader become into her world and characters. This book was fast paced, intense, everything is wrapped up and answered. Be warned, have a hankie handy.

Amazing. A great book to cap off another awesome series. I loved how the story evolved and long time questions were finally answered. This book tugged at the heartstrings and emotions a bit more than the others bit it was nice to see a soft side to Ms. Bastion.

PPS also holy guacamole will there be a crossover bet chronicles of midnight and arcana? Because i will most definitely be down for that.

Though I am thoroughly sad to see The Chronicles of Arcana series come to an end, Cassidy definitely sends this series and these characters out with a bang. This is definitely a series you need to read the books in order to understand the dynamics of the world as well as the characters, how they all relate to each other and the overall plot of the story. The Chronicles of Arcana stories are woven in the same world as the Chronicles of Midnight series but with different characters, different twists and turns and obstacles to overcome to save the world. All lingering questions are answered and loose ends tied up with satisfactory explanations. Wila has one on one time with each of her guys so no one was outshined or forgotten and all the relationships were wrapped up nicely. The story holds the perfect amount of intrigue, romance, action, and keeps you in a constant state of suspense. The friendship and familial scenes will warm your heart and a few bring tears to your eyes. The overall story holds a continual excitement level that is carried throughout the entire read and there are plenty of shocks, moments of awe and surprises to keep you entertained. This book is the perfect ending to another wonderful series. *I received an advanced reader's copy of this book and am providing my honest review.

What an epic conclusion to a great series! I think this book was the best of the series, and sometimes the last book isn’t always the best.
