Travis loves playing hockey with the Tornadoes, even though minor-league hockey pays less than working retail. A chance proposition in a gas station bathroom has him considering a whole new way of supplementing his income. He's not gay, obviously, but twenty bucks is twenty bucks. Now if he can just convince his roommate to teach him how to give a blowjob, he's golden.A Free Read through Insta-Freebee from August 28th to September 4th together with other authors ->https://claims.instafreebie.com/gg/FC...

~1.5~This is yet another story that leaves us hanging without a HFN/HEA. Apparently, Twenty Bucks is the prequel to a new series. UGH. It's so fucking rude to do this to your readers; don't use a free event as a springboard for your next book. Give your audience a good story, and they'll come back for more. And at the very least, include a warning in the blurb! All that aside, this was not a great story: zero romance, loaded with typos and grammatical error (A.E. The idea for this story was pretty obviously inspired by a meme similar to the following, which hit the Interwebs a little while back. But I took this free story for what it was, just a bit of hot, porny erotica and DAMN.This was definitely an 'inspiring' premise.3.5 stars stars for the sheer heat, and not really trying to be something it wasn't.

Well, this was fun. Completely unrealistic and a bit silly, sure, but fun. Travis is a massive douche, and the roommate from hell, but would you say no, if he offered to blow you? probably not...It was only 49 pages, so character development and plotline are obviously not it's strongest points, but I was still intrigued enough to consider buying the full story - this is a teaser book for the author's series - to see if Travis redeems himself from douche to hero. I hope the editing is better in t Well, this was fun. Completely unrealistic and a bit silly, sure, but fun. This very short story actually wet my appetite for the sequel, I so want to know what happens with these two guys. I’m with Todd on this one, I think the best part of the story is that it doesn’t come across as presumptuous but simply as a sizzling read

This is just the beginning of Travis' story. I think I need to read the whole story before I can form an opinion of him because right now? Travis is a jerk.

Twenty bucks, a Chasing the Storm short by A. E. Wasp. This is a short story for the new series by A. E. Wasp. This series is a spin off of her last series Hot Off the Ice. This story is short and sweet, but a lot is going on in it. Love the characters and the storyline. I would definitely like to read more of this series!

Just as I was getting into it BAM! it ended on such a tentative note. Aaand then to find out it’s sort of a teaser to a new book/series. Not cool 😢 despite the cringey errors throughout, i still liked the premise and the MCs. Hello? Gay hockey players? Ohhh yyyeeeaaaahhhh that’s my jam right there.

The premise of this short story was...interesting. I enjoyed what there was of it. It did leave me with a lot of questions, however. I must admit that I would be interested in finding out what happens and it appears there will be a continuation which I will pick up.

Short, short story. Also includes beginning of another book. Premise is a bit strange seeing as how prostitution is illegal and Erik doesn’t point that out to Travis.

Cute beginning of a story. I need to read the first book to form my ture opinion. The frame of a good storyline if there what is done with it is what matters.

Although this was a short story, it didn’t bother me at all that there should have been more to it. It actually gave me just enough of a taste to want to check out the series.

Just...no.Travis was a completely unlikable asshole, the writing wasn't good, and the whole concept was frankly pretty offensive.

A fun quick read to give you a taste of the Author's style of writing. It also gives you some characters to look forward to reading. A nice short story.
