Queer Eye
From the Fab Five—the beloved hosts of Netflix's viral hit Queer Eye—comes a book that is at once a behind-the-scenes exclusive, a practical guide to living and celebrating your best life, and a symbol of hope.Feeling your best is about far more than deciding what color to paint your accent wall or how to apply nightly moisturizer. It's also about creating a life that's well-rounded, filled with humor and understanding—and most importantly, that suits you. At a cultural moment when we are all craving people to admire, Queer Eye offers hope and acceptance. After you get to know the Fab Five, together they will guide you through five practical chapters that go beyond their designated areas of expertise (food & wine, fashion, grooming, home decor, and culture), touching on topics like wellness, entertaining, and defining your personal brand, and complete with bite-sized Hip Tips for your everyday quandaries. Above all else, Queer Eye aims to help you create a happy and healthy life, rooted in self-love and authenticity.

November 23, 20185 out of 5 starsI loved this! Each of the Fab 5 gave little introductions about themselves and tips on how to live your best life from beauty/cosmetics/hair, fashion, culture/how to achieve your goals, interior design and food (including recipes). The tips are very helpful for both women and men of all ages. If you love Queer Eye on Netflix and have always wanted to glam up your life a little then I'm sure you can find some tips and guidance in this book (I know I did).July 31,2 November 23, 20185 out of 5 starsI loved this! This is my favorite show. It’s heartwarming and wholesome, and it just makes me feel happy and inspired. The book’s a little light on content, but it’s still lovely, and it did help ease the withdrawal now that we’re between seasons.

I recently watched some of the new Netflix reboot of Queer Eye, and found myself googling the stars' backgrounds. Now there is a book for dorks like me!

So lucky that this book came into my library. My coworker in charge of getting the books registered got it all ready and checked out to me. I don't often ask to do that, I just put my name down on the book on a post it but she went ahead and got it in for me. These fine fab gay guys make me very happy. I have been watching their episodes over and over again because this has been a hard year for me and it's still not over yet. My hard copy doesn't arrive for another week (thanks a lot, Booktopia--never again), but before I even realised that, I found out that the audiobook is going to be narrated by the Fab Five themselves. Holy shit! I knew I had to get my hands on the audiobook as well. I literally signed up for Audible just for this very reason and chose this as my first audiobook, which is free. I didn't plan on listening to this until after I've read the hard copy, but I got impatient so I decided, screw it.This My hard copy doesn't arrive for another week (thanks a lot, Booktopia--never again), but before I even realised that, I found out that the audiobook is going to be narrated by the Fab Five themselves. While I do love Queer Eye and the Fab Five, I've come to realise that I just am not an audiobook person.

Copy received from Hachette Australia for an honest reviewI was hooked on the new Queer Eye from the minute I started watching it, and this book is a great companion for the show.I was interested in knowing more about this fab five, and Love Yourself. Love Your Life gives me just what I was looking for, with a bit about themselves and some fabulous tips from each of their areas of expertise. This would be a great coffee table book that you could pick up at will and get a few tips on how to love y Copy received from Hachette Australia for an honest reviewI was hooked on the new Queer Eye from the minute I started watching it, and this book is a great companion for the show.I was interested in knowing more about this fab five, and Love Yourself. I really like how the book starts with each member of the fab five giving a short introduction to themselves and their background stories. There are some things you'll have picked up by watching the show, but it's still thorough (and maybe personal) enough that you'll learn a couple of things about everyone you didn't know before that puts some things, and everything they say in the following chapters, into perspective.Everyone gets a section about their specific expertise, and while a lot of it I really like how the book starts with each member of the fab five giving a short introduction to themselves and their background stories. And wow, I'll have to go through Karamo's chapter a few more times because everything he mentions is something I know I have to work on but never really knew how to do - or even where to start - until now.(I'm also a bit crushed by Bobby's chapter since his scale is "you spent $500,000 on your house" while mine is pretty much "but can I really justify buying my second IKEA shelf of the year?", but that's a different story, I guess.)

AudioThis was a fun book to listen to! I even turned down my speed so their voices were more realistic (listening to Jonathon on high speed? LOL no...) Did it completely change my life? Not so much but it DID give me a warm, fuzzy feeling, much like the show. As expected, they offer positive tips and hints that are actually pretty practical and down to earth. I may (yes) put it on my To Buy list just so I can look at the pictures and check out the recipes. I found myself smiling through most of AudioThis was a fun book to listen to! I love the Fab Five and Queer eye. But in all honesty, meh. Listen to some of their interviews on YouTube and re-watch Queer Eye. This book doesn’t offer anything new, exciting or interesting about the Fab Five that hasn’t been talked about before. If anything, it offers less than has been spoken about in interviews or on the show. I liked the photos interspersed throughout, but it (unsurprisingly) reads as a very ‘celeb’ book.

I loved this book! If you are a fan of the show, you probably will as well. Each chapter I read, I could hear the voices of the Fab 5 in my head. I also really enjoyed the mini-bio chapters in the beginning that helps introduce each member if the team and lets you get to know them a little more in depth. There is a lot of useful information on each subject thanks to the expertise of each author. Let's not forget how gorgeous all the big glossy photos are!

It was sweet to hear more of the backstories of each of the Fab Five and, while there is a ghost writer on this book, each of their segments felt written in their own voice. Many of the self-helpy portions felt like pretty standard fare but shockingly I have actually already tried/loved one of Antoni's recipes so, for a kitchen-averse person, that is high praise!

This book deserves 5 stars on the featured photos alone. The production design, the illustrations... aside from the stellar tips and advice from the Fab Five, this was simply a visually stunning book. Couldn't get enough.
