The White Christmas Inn
In this heartwarming, feel-good novel, a snowstorm brings a cast of very different characters together at a sleepy New England inn, just in time for Christmas—and maybe even in time for a Christmas miracle. A New England inn seems like the picture-perfect place to spend the holidays. But when a snowstorm shuts the roads and keeps them all inside, the guests find themselves worrying that this Christmas may not be exactly what they dreamed of. Molly just needs to keep her head down and finish her latest book, but her writer’s block is crippling. The arrival of Marcus, a handsome widower with two young girls, is exactly the distraction she doesn't need. Hannah was hoping for a picturesque winter wedding, but her plans come crashing down when her fiancé calls everything off. She reconnects with her childhood friend, Luke, when he comes to check on his grandmother before the storm. Jeanne and Tim don't know how they're going to keep the inn open another year—or how to bridge the distance between them in their marriage. With a flurry of unexpected guests, they'll have to work together to fix all the problems that crop up. But will it be enough to rekindle their relationship? As the characters’ stories intertwine, they start to find hope where they thought it had been lost. With faith, and a little bit of Christmas magic, the inn—and its inhabitants—might just make it through the holidays after all.

And I love the title too. Because of these features, this book was love at first sight for me. I know, it’s not even Thanksgiving yet, but my last book was a head banger and I was ready to fluff out—and this book did not disappoint.Hannah is supposed to get married at this beautiful little inn in Vermont over Christmas. The inn owners are looking at their last Christmas at their beloved inn as local competition has badly hurt their business. Molly is a children’s book author with writer’s block. Widower Marcus and his two little girls cannot reach their destination because of the blizzard of all blizzards, but there is room for them at the White Christmas Inn. And Geoffrey Godwin? Well, he’s certainly a strange one. These little arcs and others are at the core of the story, which takes place over a three-day period during a monster snowstorm.I enjoyed this novel, but I would have liked it even better if it had been a bit meatier. I think deeper character development and perhaps one or two fewer subplots would have beefed up the book considerably. I would have also liked a little more description of the raging blizzard for atmospheric purposes. Having said that, I did like what I saw in the characters and had no problems flipping the pages. And the description regarding the holiday season was wonderful. There was also terrific detail regarding the holiday menus--YUM! Finally, I must give the author kudos for that nice totally unexpected twist at the end. If you are in the mood for a heartwarming, holiday-themed quick read that scores high on the fluff factor, this one is for you. It certainly fit the bill for me. Of note this is Ms. Wright’s debut novel, and I expect her craft to grow. I would not hesitate to read her next offering. Many thanks to Net Galley, Howard Books, and Ms. Colleen Wright for an advanced review copy of the book. Opinions are mine alone and are unbiased in any way.

Molly is at the inn trying to break through her writers block and get busy on her next book.It had me flipping through the pages like a woman on a mission. I had to know what was going to happen to Molly and Hannah and all of the secondary characters. THE WHITE CHRISTMAS INN is a heart felt story that will hold you hostage until the very last page. Once you start reading, it will be very hard to put down! Colleen Wright really knows how to write about personal struggles, family, and forgiveness. Even though this is my first book by Colleen Wright I can not wait to read more by this wonderful and heart tugging author. Thank you to Howard Books & Netgalley for the chance to read and review this novel! Are you all about Hallmark Christmas movies? If so, The White Christmas Inn is for you. Immediately, I was drawn to this book because two of my favorite Classic Christmas movie titles are joined together: White Christmas and Holiday Inn. An adorable inn AND a sleigh - check!I normally don't like books that tell a variety of perspectives from different characters, but I loved it in this book. It felt like I was watching a movie and getting to know each person individually made the story infinitely better, especially when we see these characters come together in the end. I can't even pick a favorite character because they all were equally interesting to me! I looked forward to each point-of-view and what would happen next. This was an easy four-star read and was exactly what I needed to give me a bit of cheer for the dreary weather we've been having. It feels like it should be Christmas season already! This is the perfect quick read to add to your Holiday TBR list! Cozy up by the fire with a cup of cocoa and you'll be set to get lost in the experience of The White Christmas Inn. Luckily, you have plenty of time to get this book before Christmas, with the release slated for October 23rd!

The lovely descriptions of the snowy setting and old inn, so perfect for a holiday story, made it easy to imagine. Just like a picture postcard. Out of all the characters, I really liked Luke with his genuine, kind, servant's heart. Molly also was a sweet person who reaches out to help and is blessed in return. An enjoyable read, perfect for an afternoon escape, with hints of a clean romance or two.(An e-book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley. All opinions expressed are my own.)

A total Hallmark movie in book form - improbable holiday romance, surprises that save the day, silly misunderstandings... At one point a character is up early watching a the sunrise and her early rising is repeatedly mentioned - and then there’s a random sentence about watching the sunset in the middle of it. There’s a lunch menu that is explained in detail, and then a few pages later, a completely different lunch is served. And there’s a character who is called by his last name for the whole book, then is referred to by first name for one single chapter. That said, the writing was otherwise great and the dialogue was a lot of fun - snappy and sappy and sweet all at once. So I went with 4 stars despite my annoyance at the other stuff. PS there is also some weirdly random god stuff in one chapter - like she wanted a religious book (no drinking, for example) but then changed her mind and forgot to pull those two references out. It was super odd.

This book is like a Hallmark Christmas movie in book form--it really would make a great one! I loved the characters and their interplay. It's such a classic Christmas trope of having everyone snowed in together, but it just works for the sweetness of this story. And the food descriptions make it all the better. Yum. I want to stay there. This is the perfect feel-good read for the Christmas season.I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

Iris allowed it, only if she got to stay on to work the front desk. After 10 years in business, the inn is going under due to a new ski resort in the area. Christmas week is going to be their last days in business. Hannah is about to get married at the inn, a place she spent her childhood, when her fiance calls the whole thing off. Molly, a children's book writer is seeking inspiration for her newest book, and her life and decides to stay at the inn too. When a bad storm causes an elderly gentleman and a single dad and his two girls to take refuge at the inn, they'll have an unusual Christmas that will never be forgotten.I didn't know what to expect from this book. It was the author's debut, but the cover image drew me in. I'm so glad that I took a chance on a new book and author! This book has all of the charm of a Hallmark movie but with the changing perspectives of a (more PG) Love Actually, mixed with The Dragonfly Inn in Gilmore Girls. I loved the description of the inn, the quirky characters, and their sweet interactions. I loved seeing how empty-nesters, a single dad of two girls, struggling business owners, single elderly folks, a young wilderness guide, a jilted bride, and a children's author join together to celebrate Christmas. I think that Molly (the children's writer) was my favorite character, I was most excited to see what would happen with her plot. The only thing I would add to this book would be an epilogue. :)Right After Reading: 4-4.5 stars - reminded me of a Hallmark movie + (a tame) Love Actually + The Dragonfly in Gilmore Girls. I would recommend if you enjoy Christmas fiction. Full review to come!**Advance access to this title was given to me by Netgalley and the Publisher and based upon the edition of the book that I received at that time. As always my thoughts are my own! Thank you Netgalley!

I liked this book. It was a pleasant read and a nice Christmas story. I felt like there were a tad too many storylines though because I kept forgetting each character and their story as the narration went from one to another. As a result I was a bit lost or. Or as connected to each plot. An interesting idea and enjoyable but not overly memorable.
