Kim and Rob have been friends forever, since they were children but what Kim refuses to acknowledge is that Rob has been in love with her since he has 10, when he spent all his pocket money to buy her a plastic ring and proposed to her then. She did acknowledge that they made a great team together and Rob was the first friend that she turned to, to ask for help in converting her garden nursery into a proper garden centre. With Rob’s help, Kim planned to make the nursery into a large concern, with Kim and Rob have been friends forever, since they were children but what Kim refuses to acknowledge is that Rob has been in love with her since he has 10, when he spent all his pocket money to buy her a plastic ring and proposed to her then. She did acknowledge that they made a great team together and Rob was the first friend that she turned to, to ask for help in converting her garden nursery into a proper garden centre. With Rob’s help, Kim planned to make the nursery into a large concern, with plants as well as sections for crafts, like card making, quilting and other handiwork, not forgetting a coffee shop as well, as many customers suggested that it would be nice to be able to sit down and have a cuppa after shopping. Kim planned to sell new and restored preloved old quilts (one of her passions) in the craft section of her new shop. So when Jenny, Rob’s Mum told her about a little crafting shop in town which had several quilts for sale at a reasonable price, Kim and Rob decided to have a look.Kim came away with several beautiful quilts, most in need of a clean and iron but one, a beautiful old quilt which needed a lot more work and repair before it could be sold. The shop owner said that it was probably hundreds of years old and came over from Scotland. As Kim starts looking into the history of the quilt, she finds that there is a lot more to it than meets the eye. And there is a lot more to Rob than meets the eye too!Another fun mystery from the Blooms, Bones and Stones series, and yet another great read.

True love mends all illsA great read. Okay it is a mystery but fundamental it is a really sweet romance. The garden centre is due to be expanded. However when she and Rob hear about a strange she that has quilts for sale, she can't help herself but want to go and see for herself (with him her BFF of course). The shop indeed is strange and they are given a gift of an old, damaged quilt. Strange music plays when they touch it. But something keeps damaging it when they try to repair the centre squa True love mends all illsA great read. Okay it is a mystery but fundamental it is a really sweet romance. Can they unravel the history of the quilt and return it to what it was? How will the fact that they have to do it together affect them? A truly feel good read with some outstanding characters.

I received an Advanced Readers Copy and this is my honest review of the book. This is the second book that I’ve read in this series and I’ve enjoyed both of them. Kim, owner of the garden center, is expanding her business and adding a craft section and more. Rob is her childhood friend and contractor. As Kim looks for items to add to the craft and quilt section someone recommends a store down a side road. The store looks old and dirty on the outside but clean on the inside. I really enjoyed this story and look forward to reading more books in this series.

Kim Summers is Jazz's sister. She has been friends with Rob manners since they were 10 years old. Rob helps Kim expand her garden center. Along the way, they go to a shop his mother suggests because of some old quilts there. Kim likes to restore them. The quilt and the store give both a strange vibe. While expanding the garden center and working on the quilt, something comes over Kim and Rob. It's what everyone else has known for years, but this quilt gives them incentive to act on their feeling Kim Summers is Jazz's sister. Entertaining ReadI enjoyed The Secret of the Quilt. It was not what I was expecting but sometimes that can be a good thing! The characters have depth and the plot was well thought out. Since I hadn't read the earlier parts of the series, I was a bit slow in sorting out the interrelationships of the characters. I believe I will read the entire series to catch-up on the background story and to be prepared for upcoming installments.

Couldn't put it downSupernatural mystery. Fun following unique story line. Cutesy clean romance. Well developed characters. Minor editing needed in choice of wording, facts. Read in one sitting took under 2 hours.

Cute story with romance, a possibly haunted quilt and a garden store expansion.... There are a lot of quotation errors and misplaced (mainly missing) commas, and some of the sentence structure is awkward. Regardless, it is a quick, fun read.
