Now he has to mentor one? Although Gawain soon falls for the dauntless little cat, Owen knows better than to lose his head. But Darcy has a gift for repairing everything…including damaged hearts.Love isn’t in her destiny. In the brothers’ arms, Darcy finds safety. Comfort. And love. But however much she longs for a future with Owen and Gawain, her people need her. Somehow, she must find the courage and skills to save them, even if the attempt demands her life.

Why he fought. To win a female’s love and keep her safe. For this female—for Darcy—he would willingly fight the entire world. Two things happened almost simultaneously after I finished this book. One, I was kicking myself for a good two hours for not discovering this series before now. And two, I immediately went and one clicked the rest of these books. There's just something so magical about Cherise Sinclair's writing, that no matter what she writes, it never fails to grab you and suck you right into its world. And even though I started this series with book 4, I had no problem at all getting imbedded in the deeply descriptive and rich world of Sinclair's shifters. Their language, their customs, their enemies, and their love life immediately caught my interest and kept me riveted to the pages until the end.Darcy MacCormac is an incredible heroine. Here is a female that has seen and lived through atrocities at the hands of the evil Scythe organization during her ten years as their captive. She's seen her friends suffer at the hands of their experiments, she's seen friends die, and she's left with scars both internal and external. Yet, none of that diminished her strength and will to live. So when she has the chance to escape, she grabs it, for the chance to ultimately come back and rescue the rest of the shifter females still imprisoned by the Scythe. Her escape brings her straight into a world that she was born into but due to her imprisonment knows very little about. Owen and Gawain, two brothers that helped rescue her from being recaptured and whose only thing in common is their blood, are assigned to be her trainers. They're to teach her to shift and control her abilities while keeping her safe and finding the Scythe compound. Here are two men that couldn't be more different. Suffering their own individual scars of their past and a selfish and abusive mother has left them scattered. Owen is a gruff, grumpy protector who believes all women to be inherent liars. Gawain is a sweetheart that even though has every reason to avoid love, deep down yearns for it. And in the middle of it all is a female that makes them realize that perhaps a future full of love and passion is not so foreign.Leap of The Lion is full of so much emotion, it was almost painful at times. Everything that Owen suffered in his past and everything that Darcy has gone through give them a bond unlike any other. Darcy makes Owen see beyond his past and realize that not all women are the same. I loved the slow built passion between the two. And then with Gawain in the mix as well? FORGET ABOUT IT.I mean, a female with not one but TWO life mates? Sign me up for that. But don't think this is some gratuitous MFM non stop orgy. While the passion is definitely there, it's a slow burn. There's a lot of story that takes place, that admittedly I found slow at times. I understood the set up and the backstories needed to be told, but they did slow down the pace of the book considerably.I loved the rest of the secondary characters and The Wild Hunt World. I really loved the romance, and I especially loved the story. There's so much that happened here besides the romance, but the romance was definitely center stage. If you're a fan of PNR, this is a series that simply must be read. I know I plan on going back and binging on it immediately.ARC courtesy of author in exchange for an honest reviewFind me on:

Sinclair does an amazing job of evoking sympathy and emotion from her readers with this book. Just reading the first chapter is enough to have you bonding with the characters because they have already been through so much. There’s a darker tone to this book and I do think it’s possible that those who have suffered from abuse may find this as too intense. Unlike other Sinclair books, this one does put a lot of focus on their suffering, but I do believe that Sinclair handles it beautifully. This book is a perfect example of why Cherise Sinclair is amongst the upper echelons of the genre. Her ability to evoke emotions from her readers and create characters that are timeless makes this book more than just your typical Paranormal Erotic Romance. This story is very much about healing and growth and I very much enjoyed reading every page.

As always, Cherise Sinclair provides a finely crafted book with fascinating characters, an intriguing plot, scorching hot sex, and total satisfaction with the outcome. This is the story of Owen, the shifter cougar who appeared in the earlier books in the Wild Hunt Series. He is portrayed there and here as a grumpy misogynist, but an honest man who protects others at the risk of his own life.He has reasons for his hatred of women-his mother was abusive toward him, but it takes a young shifter whose feelings he hurt to make him see he tars all women with the same brush-just what he accuses women of doing. That insight opens the way for him to see the truth about Darcy, a mountain shifter who managed to escape the prison where she and other members of her village have been held for a decade. Because of the captivity, Darcy knows little about the shifter way of life, and the shifter leader assigns Owen and his brother Gawain, to mentor her. Both brothers begin falling for the young woman, but the group that held her and still holds her brothers and other villagers hostage aren't going to stop looking for her. Terrified of bringing trouble to the town that took her in, can Darcy make a commitment to the two men who care for her? And how will she react when danger threatens? The author carries us into a world of her own creation, but one we can almost see and feel. We expect to see people shift into animal form in a tangle of clothes. The book also catches us up on some of the characters from the earlier books and its like running into old friends. My only complaint is that we don't get to see enough of Gawain. He intrigued me in one of the earlier books, and I looked forward to knowing more about him in this one, but he's almost a throwaway character. As with the previous books in the series, expect a hot menage, paranormal romance, and people who make you want to find them and give them a hug.

Awesome storyI've been looking forward to reading the next book in this series since Eventide of the Bear and was pleased to find it just as good, if not better. This is no surprise since Cherise Sinclair is a talented author. Owen, Gawain and Darcy make interesting protagonists with their individual quirks. This will be a book that I reread regularly.

They want to plan an attack against the prison and the soldier camp at the same time. But when the cosantir’s mate is taken, their attack must happen now and Darcy must lead the way. I’ll be honest, it was a little confusing at first to me but the more I read, the more I loved it. Action packed, fast paced story. There are multiple men having sex with one women and then it becomes a ménage. The sex is very hot. Darcy is lovable and strong. Owen is quiet and grumpy. Garwain is big and sweet.

Cherise Sinclair writes erotica but she also writes a damn good story and that's what puts her far above the pack. Her characters are as real as my next door neighbours, or maybe the neighbours I would like to have. She has created a shifter world that I would gladly be a part of. The female characters are strong women who want to protect their men even more than they want to rely on them. The big strong males are fierce protectors of their women but they also know how to love deeply. I also was happy to see Vickie gave birth and the depth of Calum's love for her brought tears to my eyes. I have read the others in this series, several times, and this will be the same. Cherise Sinclair has created a world of shifters, pixies, hellhounds and sinister sects from the workings of her vivid imagination. Absolutely AmazingI have never read anything by Cherise Sinclair that I haven’t loved. This book is no exception. The depth of the characters and the world in which they live sets my heart to racing. I bought her earlier works on iBooks because I had younger member of my family sharing my kindle account. I am slowly adding the books on kindle so I can add whisper-sync with Audible. That is how much I love her work!

My rating may be more of a 3.5. Darcy was great, and I liked Owen and Gawain, but for some reason, I wasn't as involved with this one as previous stories. However, there were some very well done suspenseful moments, and Victoria really stood out for me. I also liked how Donal and Tynan will probably have a story in the works, and I assume that Patrin and Fell will too. Methinks I sense a story for Heather on the horizon.

Ms Sinclair continues her impressive world building in this fourth in her series of definitely not ho-hum run of the mill paranormal romances. Humans are back to being the bag guys and the bulk of the violence is either in flashbacks or part of the big rescue which makes this book a little easier to read then the previous two.
