Blaire has never quite gotten over Jessie Beckett, the ex–NFL star whose kisses were hot enough to ignite the entire Eastern Seaboard. When he chose work over her, Blaire was left brokenhearted. If only the new jerk she’s been hired to uncover wasn’t Jessie Beckett himself.Exposing Jessie isn’t going to be easy, especially when she still daydreams about his sexy smile. Further complicating matters is Colin, Jessie’s best friend. He’s gorgeous, a little bit cunning, and willing to help Blaire get the inside scoop on Jessie—for a price. Now caught between two men—one totally right and the other totally wrong—Blaire will need to decide just how much she’s willing to risk…and whom she’s willing to risk it for.

A story about a woman, Blaire, who lost a great love to football dreams, replaced him with a safe bet that ended up breaking and shattering her heart by cheating on her. She forms a company to find and call out cheaters with her new best friend. She never thought she’d be investigating her lost love, the ever great NFL Star Jessie Beckett. She unexpectedly receives help from his best friend, Colin, as he is always at the right spot at the right time. Overtime investigating Jessie, his soon to be ex-wife claims he is cheating on her, Blaire finds herself stuck between being potentially “the other woman” and the private PI trying to determine if he is indeed cheating on his soon to be ex. Little does Blaire know that the attraction she still feels towards Jessie, the one that got away, may just be that an attraction. Does her real desire lie somewhere else. With someone that is kind, loving, insanely hot, richer than rich, and someone that she has no doubt, isn’t cheating?? I kinda wasn’t a fan of the back and forth emotions, however I get them, and I completely 110% agree with Blaire’s decisions. It was interesting to watch Blaire follow her heart, all in a good way❤️ This was a fun, humorous read. It was a read that kept me interested, and laughing and swooning. I love RVD books, I’m definitely adding this one to the like pile =))) I can not wait to see where Rachel takes this series next, although I’m pretty sure I know 😍

Blaire lives in LA, and doesn't have the best track record with men. She met a gorgeous guy named Jessie Beckett who she dated for three weeks before it all ended. He was traded to Pittsburgh to play football, and chose his career over her. Then she rebounded into a marriage that ended in disaster. The only good thing to come out of all her man troubles was meeting her best friend and business partner Isla. They bonded over both being women scorned and started Dirty Exes Private Investigators where they make it their mission to serve justice to cheaters. They get proof for their high profile clients.Blaire is stunned when she learns her latest job is to uncover dirt on her ex Jessie Beckett. He's the one guy she compares all others to. Her game changer. She thought she'd once been in love with him, and he was the most delicious man she'd ever met. He'd become the fantasy of her perfect man, and suddenly that image is shattered when she suspects he could be a cheater. Jessie is a retired NFL quarterback going through some personal stuff in the public eye when he runs into a blast from the past. His love life was a mess, but he couldn't help the feelings he still felt at the sight of Blaire. As Blaire is doing her job to expose Jessie she meets his best friend Colin. She's never reacted so strongly to a stranger. He's a distraction she doesn't need, but she can't help being drawn to him. He's got a man bun, tattoos, and looks a bit like Tarzan. He complicates everything when she finds herself stuck between wanting the one that got away, and his playboy best friend. -She tempted a man.-I hated being intrigued by eyes a man wanted to get lost in and a body that promised a night full of pleasure.-There had been something special between us, something I had never experienced before.-I felt everything in his touch. His promises, his kisses. Him.-I had no choice... I wanted her the minute I met her. Both men want Blaire, and become jealous of the other. One looks like the all american good guy, and one the typical bad boy. Blaire battles her feelings with her insecurities, and doing what's right. One man wants a date with the only woman to hold his attention, and the other wants a second chance. Blaire wants one of them more than she's ever wanted anything in her life, & she can't walk away. They give in to desire and the connection between them, but will Blaire get her heart broken, or finally find lasting love?I really loved this book! It was my first by Rachel Van Dyken, and I couldn't put it down. It's about an attractive, independent, successful woman who risks her heart for the most beautiful love, and learns to trust again. This book is a love triangle, but not the kind that tears you up inside. I adored both of these wonderful men, but was thrilled with the outcome. The story has many twists and turns, tons of humor, and plenty of heat. I can't wait to read the next book in the series, and more by this amazing author! ***NOW AVAILABLE***https://amzn.to/2szBVnX

One impossible job, two men she's attracted to, and someone is about to get exposed. I absolutely adored this book. It had me cracking up at some of the situations Blaire found herself in and I just loved how fun it was. The book never lost that lightness it had and it kept a smile on my face the entire time I was reading. For me, it wasn't really a surprise how the ending turned out but there were moments that had me second guessing myself. It was captivating and my need to know for sure how things would end up had me on the edge of my seat. And I was ridiculously happy with the ending, but that wasn't much of a shock since this is an RVD story and she never disappoints. If you're looking for a fun, cute book then this is the one you want. I can't wait to see what else will happen in this series, though I have some very strong suspicions about that.ARC kindly provided in exchange for an honest review.

Apparently, this new series is a spin off of the "Wingmen Inc." series. Blaire, the heroine in this book is Ian's (Matchmakers Playbook) sister. Now no worries, you don't have to read the previous series to understand this book, it completely stands alone. I myself haven't, but since I really enjoyed this one, I will probably go back and fix that :PNow, what I loved most about this book, is that it made me laugh. For me this was really one of those "feel good" stories. That doesn't mean nothing h Apparently, this new series is a spin off of the "Wingmen Inc." series. For me this was really one of those "feel good" stories. That doesn't mean nothing happend, or that I didn't get frustrated at times, but the overal feeling for me was joy ;)Blaire has a pretty awesome job. She owns half of "Dirty Exes", which is a PI firm, that specializes in ...you guessed it....catching dirty cheaters in the act !! Her and her best friend started the firm, after being fucked over by their exes. Now they are getting even...one dirtbag at a time :PThings get a bit complicated, when her new client turns out to be the wife of "the one that got away"... Jessie was everything Blaire ever wanted. They spend a few weeks together in total bliss. Until Jessie left her in the dust for his career. Now she will have to expose him and his cheating ways. Only problem is, she doesn't want him to be a cheater, because to her, she is still "perfect Jessie".Thankfully there is Colin, Jessie's best friend, who is more then willing to help her out...in more than one way :PBlaire finds herself in sorts of ridiculous situations and I spend a lot of time reading this one with a huge smile on my face !!There was only one small thing, that bothered me a bit. Ever since Blaire was with Jessie, she saw him as "the one". She started measuring all men up to him, and she even blames him for the fact, that she ended up with her douchebag of an ex husband. Now that's all fine and good, if not for the fact that Blaire and Jessie were only together for 3 weeks !!!!They didn't even have sex ?? !! I don't think you can get to know someone in only 3 weeks. So this was just a bit too much for me. I could have understood her "worshipping feelings" toward him if they would have been together longer.Other than that, Blaire was a pretty great heroine. This story was cute, funny and even sexy at times, and I can't wait to read the next one ;) My reviews are posted on DirtyBooksObsession Follow Us on➦

Please note that I do not know this woman at all and she’s probably a little terrified of me by now because I declare my giant girlcrush on her pretty much all the time, but she is definitely an instant-request for me at this point. That doesn’t mean I’m a pushover Find all of my reviews at: http://52bookminimum.blogspot.com/3.5 StarsIn an effort to provide full disclosure, you should all take note that when it comes to Rachel Van Dyken books, I usually look a little something like this . . . . Please note that I do not know this woman at all and she’s probably a little terrified of me by now because I declare my giant girlcrush on her pretty much all the time, but she is definitely an instant-request for me at this point. That doesn’t mean I’m a pushover when it comes to handing out the Starzzzzz, though, so don’t get it twisted. I’ve high-starred and low-starred and everywhere-in-the-middle-starred her stuff. Our first meeting with Blaire, the female lead in Dirty Exes, goes a little something like this . . . . . Bad news is, the end goal of crawling through a public sewer system is not the paradise of Zihuatenejo, but instead is to catch a cheater in the act of cheating for her private investigation company. Good news is, things didn’t get as bad as they can get when it comes to the sewer . . . . So I was instantly in and was ready to declare to Rachel Van Dyken once again . . . . However, something was holding me back. First, I thought it was simply the mention of a wardrobe full of LuLuLemon which makes me say . . . . There was something else that didn’t add up for me with respect to Blaire’s cheating husband and the return of the “one who got away.” It took a bit, but eventually it came out that the dude she has been pining over for years and who is now the alleged cheater her client (his WIFE) has hired her to investigate was only her boyfriend for like three weeks so girlfriend might have loooooooooooooooooooots of issues and I was like, oh Blaire . . . . But then there was a little twist to things that I’m not going to spoil here because it would ruin all the fun. And let me tell you it ended up so much fun! Not to mention the dirty bidness . . . . I’m giving this 3.5 Stars because of the aforementioned things that made my hinky meter go haywire, but I’m rounding up rather than down (this would be an excellent time for GR to have a half star option because I truly feel 3.5 on this one) because it ended up being a super cute and fluffy good time, but more so because I. CAN. NOT. WAIT. for the next one in the series (which is pretty much par for the course with me when it comes to Van Dyken’s books).ARC provided by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Now Dirty Exes, her firm dedicated to catch and humiliate cheaters in the act, has been hired to investigate none other than Jessie. A difficult task given the fact that she never got over him. His best friend Colin though, is willing to help… sort of. Mostly he’s been flirting with her from the moment they met while she was spying on Jessie in Colin’s hotel. Both men want her. She’s got sweet history with one and an incredible attraction with the other and now she has to decide. “Damn, this is some messed-up shit,” Isla said under her breath. “I’m witnessing a sordid love triangle, like an HBO drama I can’t get out of.”Rachel Van Dyken’s effervescence shines through in sassy and witty dialogue which is nicely balanced with the swoony moments full of emotion. I didn’t just enjoy all the predicaments Blaire got herself into due to her spying, and I appreciated how she found her confidence and love. The story has many share-tastic bits yet the plot is also rife with twists and turns that, if shared, would zap all the enjoyment out of the read. I can mention though that the tale is told from various points of view and that Jessie, Colin and Blaire are charming characters that easily made me smile and laugh. I loved Blaire’s sharp tongue, Jessie is caring and means well, and Colin is absolutely wicked and cocky.Dirty Exes is, well, dirty and complicated, but it true RVD form wackiness ensues and sultry sexiness follows. It was an unputdownable book which I’ve read several times since it landed on my eReader. I wanted her the minute I met her. Dirty Exes is book #1 of the Liars Inc. series by Rachel Van Dyken. It is standalone contemporary romance told by several points of view with a happy ending. Amazon -> https://amzn.to/2HmULoK* I was given an ARC of this book courtesy of the author via NetGalley. By chance, she meets Isla who’s also just found out she has a cheating husband. They become friends and decide to start a company called “Dirty Exes Private Investigation”. On behalf of wary wifes and husbands they investigate their partners and try to catch them cheating or try to seduce them themselves. But then they get a new request which turns out to be a lot more complicated for Blaire than she thought at first. The husband accused of cheating is none other than the guy she calls ‘the one that got away’. “Dirty Exes” was an amazing book and I really enjoyed reading it. It was so much fun and overall, the story was super entertaining. I pretty much flew through the first half of the novel in one sitting and then through the second half in another one. In fact, it’s been several months since I’ve last read through a book in such a short period of time, so this definitely speaks in the book’s favor. I also really liked the characters in this book; especially Colin was amazing and so much fun to read about. Furthermore, I even enjoyed the love triangle in “Dirty Exes” even though I’m not the biggest fan of them. But this love triangle was really well done and for a long time I wasn’t really sure which of the guys I wanted Blaire to choose which only made the book even more interesting to me. So all in all, I really loved this novel and just need to give it five out of five stars. I also feel like Rachel van Dyken is slowly becoming one of my favorite authors. So far, I’ve really enjoyed most of her novels I’ve read and I already can’t wait to read “Dangerous Exes”, the sequel to “Dirty Exes”, which will come out in October of this year.

This was a fun read with some angst and a bit of drama. It’s got the love triangle feel to it which I’m not a fan of, thus some of the angst on my part. However, I’ve read other love triangles by this author and they are pretty easy to work through unless you like a really deep, deep love triangle. I actually loved the way this one worked itself out. I was constantly questioning and wondering what direction she was going to take the story. It definitely made me hungry to read the story. Dirty Exes was a fabulous read. There was lots of humor and I lovedBlaire's character. She was so relatable in an almost over the top way. I also liked that the story was so beyond the sex scenes. It made those scenes hotter and sexier without the graphic details. And again the humor in those scenes made the scenes. Both Colin and Jessie's characters were what book boyfriends should be. They were assertive yet vulnerable and not afraid to show it. They were respectful and valued women and relationships. They were very swoon worthy.I can't wait for the second book.D 4/5

Blaire is one of the two women who started their PI firm. They only work with top clientele looking to see if their SO is cheating. And let me tell you, no job is too dirty or too risky for these women. After their last successful "catch" it's Blaire's turn to be the bait and try to catch the perp in the act. Until said perp is the one man she just can't find herself getting over. She tires to now allow herself to get too personal with this one but when you have a history with someone, it's hard not to let personal feelings get in the way.I have to say that in the long run, I did enjoy this book a lot. I loved the characters and how they each held a perfect blend to the story. I loved that things panned out how I thought (wasn't upset I guessed early because the story was perfect) and I loved getting to know each of the characters. My only small gripe is the timeframe that Blaire and Jessie were together previously - 3 weeks. Three weeks isn't enough to really be pining after the dude years later, but whatever - maybe the connection was that strong. But RVD does a great job of explaining things and working it all out in that end, so that kept things from being truly hard to grasp. (view spoiler)[ RVD does a great job of explaining how she is so easily able to move on from Jessie. And does a nice job of showing that even though he was attracted to her, why he never stayed in contact (image was everything). (hide spoiler)]Another amazing story from RVD. I had to read this book when I found out it was. I really enjoyed that series and this book was just had good. Blaine and get best friend Isla run Dirty Exes Private Investigators. Both women have been hurt by there last partners. She they put there energy into helping other woman and men find out if there partners were cheating. Blaine liked her jobs if it stop people feeling like she does after finding her ex husband cheat then she know she is doin something right. She doesnt trust easy anymore and doubt herself her confidence took a big hit. She had let a male get best her in a long time until her ex NFL boyfriend came back into her life. They may of only been with each a short amount of time but he was the one that got away. She alway wondered what life would be if he never got drafted to another team. Jessie is a great guy he is dealing with a lot of crap in his relationship and is finding things really hard to deal with. But he promised to keep up the happy face to show things were good even though it was killing him inside. He thought things would never get better until he bumped into Blaine. She has alway been in his thought the one that got away. Like Blaine he also thought what life would be like if he stayed with her. Jessie knew he hurt and he could still some of that hurt in her face the day he met her. After seeing her again he started to feel like his life could get better but he couldn't start anything with Blaine while things were still crazy with Vanessa. Colin has been best friends with Jessie for years. They knew everything about each other. He knew Jessie wasn't in a good place at the min but he was alway there for him. His own life was crazy he owned his own chain of hotels and bars and he luvd women. So let's just say his life was pretty good. He wasn't looking for a relationship he had been there done that and didn't come out great from it. So he was happy jumping from bed to bed. Until he met this gorgeous woman Blaine creeping around his bar. There was something about her that him feeling something that he hadn't felt in a long time. After talking for hours he knew he had to get Blaine's attention he just knew it wasn't goin to be easy. Love triangles alway make me nervous. I always scared that heroine isn't goin to get with the guy that I luv. But I was so happy with the way this book end it was just brilliant I m really hoping that there is more to this series. Isla needs to find her HEA. I really enjoyed thus story it flowed well I did find that it slow in parts. I was just dying to know what was going to happened with Blaine. I would highly recommend the book. The men are super sexy the woman are gorgeous and sassy. I 've not read many books from this author but the books I have read have been so good. I looking forward to more of her work and hoping there is more to this series.

While the book did not go the direction I thought it would take, I can’t say I would recommend it. Blaire goes into the PI business after her husband cheats on her with her best friend. She’s very insistent that she is over this and she has moved on. It feels like lies though. “This job was everything I needed to focus on so I didn’t lose my mind and mentally consider all the reasons why I was in that small office stalking cheaters and trying to find as much dirt on them as possible. It was my vengeance. My goal. It was also lonely.” I think she was supposed to come off empowered but she just felt bitter. Also I didn’t like the fact that she had a history with the guy she was trying to catch cheating. Seems like a moral dilemma. “Jessie, our client’s husband? You have a history with our guy? I mean, what the hell, Blaire! We can’t take her on as a client.” “Hell yes, we can.” I gritted my teeth. Uber driver looked ready to drop me off at the nearest psych hospital. “Isla, it’s a lot of money and it’s our job to expose cheaters for what they are! So yes, I have a history with Jessie. But this is business, not personal.” Thank you Ilsa, voice of reason. Colin, Jessie’s best friend, was great and called out Blaire on the fact she wasn’t over being cheated on. I can’t say I would recommend it. It had a few funny moments but I was too aggravated at Blaire to appreciate them Colin, you get two stars. Ilsa, you can have a half one

She is fueled by her own personal pain and believes she will heal by bringing cheaters down. But what she doesn’t realize is she will never heal because she keeps living in a what if lifestyle. This story feels extremely relatable and honest. You can imagine yourself as Blaire and the schenanigans she gets her self into. It was silly and quirky and fun! I fell in love 3 times in one book… Jessie, Blaire and Colin but I am glad at the end of the day the way this book ended up… it was a swoonworthy ending. You will figure out who I was rooting for with this picture once you read the book

(The opening scene OMG hysterical! lol) Blaire starts this company with her friend Isla because of circumstances in her own marriage and fighting the wrong and pain caused by extramarital affairs. And it's all fun and games until Blaire's next case is to expose someone she used to know—her ex, retired NFL player Jessie Beckett who is married to the Queen of all bitches UGHHHHI was a little conflicted when it came to Jessie because while they only had a three week relationship and he really didn't treat her great, I didn't understand why Blaire compared all men to him... though watching her come to terms with his treatment of her all the while trying to fend off the attentions of Jessie's best friend, basement dweller, snake tattoo, man bun Colin was really eye opening to both the reader and Blaire as she finally realized her worth, what she deserved and who would make her happy.I was a little nervous that this would be a love triangle and while it was to some degree, there was always a clear winner in my book—a dream of a book boyfriend, someone sexy and charismatic and completely romantic in all the ways—I just LOVED HIM!Will I tell you who or how it ends? Well, no! Because you should read this book yourself. But can I say I was completely elated with the ending... I had a huge smile on my face because everything that was meant to be happened...I am very much looking forward to book 2 in this series. Another RVD hit!

Rachel Van Dyken did it again! She made me loveee a love triangle when I despise them wholeheartedly. The only time I have ever and I mean EVER loved a love triangle was when I read Fraternize by her 😍 I avoid love triangles like the plague and had no idea Fraternize as well as this book contained a love triangle. Just a little tiny bit disappointed by this one. I'm surprised, because I usually love Rachel Van Dyken's books. There's the whole love triangle thing that threw me off, then there was the heroine's personal insecurities, chasing to expose the ex for being a cheating husband but in the same time lusting after him (WTF?!).....The only thing I loved in this story was Collin and his sense of humor.

Blaire and her partner, Ilsa, have created a PI business where they follow, catch, and expose cheaters. They both have history with the subject and are using their skills to help people get revenge on their cheating partners. But their newest case becomes all kind of complicated when a woman hires them to prove her husband is cheating. And the man in question happens to be Blaire's ex and her "one that got away". So not only does she have to deal with seeing him for the first time in years, but Blaire and her partner, Ilsa, have created a PI business where they follow, catch, and expose cheaters. They both have history with the subject and are using their skills to help people get revenge on their cheating partners. But their newest case becomes all kind of complicated when a woman hires them to prove her husband is cheating. And the man in question happens to be Blaire's ex and her "one that got away". So not only does she have to deal with seeing him for the first time in years, but now she has to go into stalking mode. And Jessie is just happy to see a friendly face from his past so is wanting to reconnect.Making matters even more interesting is his charming, rich, tatted, long-haired best friend, Colin. He is all about casual flings and no entanglements, but something about Blaire makes her hard to forget. He is happy to help her, and is tempted to go after her himself. Blaire is a bit awkward, insecure, untrusting, and always feels like the girl left behind. Jessie is the ex NFL star with the good boy image and seemingly perfect married life, but could have secrets. And Colin is playboy who is usually never serious about women even as they are dropping at his feet. And Ilsa is just trying to keep everything together and run interference as needed. And we cannot forget the client who started it all. There are secrets, ommissions, lies, and questions. Is there really cheating going on? Who can you trust? And as the group gets more caught up in the situation and the secrets keep compounding, someone is bound to end up hurt or angry. It is a powderkeg waiting to blow up and casualties could be high. This is a stand alone spin off of The Matchmaker's Playbook as Blaire is Ian Hunter's sister. It also starts its own series that will continue with Ilsa's story, Dangerous Exes. This is funny, quirky, sexy, angsty, and full of little surprises. But it also has some good messages about acceptance, self love, and forgiveness. This book just made my month.I am not sure anything has made me laugh this often or this hard in a very long time. Blaire and Isla have started a private investigator business to uncover cheating partners after having been cheated on themselves. These two were hysterical. Blaire says “wine please” and Isla just pulls a bottle out of her oversized purse like Mary Poppins. As a fellow luggage - I mean large purse - carrier, I appreciated the hell out of this. Somehow Blaire’s “one that got away,” Jessie, becomes their new target. Not only is he married, but he could be cheating. So why is he texting Blaire?? Enter his best friend and by far my favorite character, Colin. Colin has a giant tattoo and a man bun, so it isn’t hard to see why I adore him. Plus, he helps Blaire out with spying on Jessie and attempts to get her out of the precarious situations she gets herself in. Girlfriend is clumsier than me and that might be a record. She cuts herself out of spanx with a corkscrew and forces the server to stand guard. Can anyone say HERO?Van Dyken killed it with the dialogue. The banter with all of the characters was just spectacular and right on. I highlighted a borderline unreasonable amount of quotes.“Also, I got the feeling she was questioning the universe as to how someone like me was able to adult on a daily basis.”I can’t wait for this to come out so that I can force everyone to read it!For more of our snarky reviews visit us at www.FictionNoChaser.com.

Blaire has been unlucky in love but she often thinks of the one that got away Jesse Beckett. So when a socialite comes in asking for help to expose her cheating husband she jumps at the chance of a high paying client but that's where this story gets very interesting . But this story has a little twist to it as I know I was expecting one thing but another thing happened. I'm not going to go into details but all you need to know is Blair has to make a choice will she make the right one ? well you have to read it to find out . The banter between the characters was so funny but I must admit Colin was my favourite the things that came out of this mouth sometimes. I cant wait to read the next one I'm hoping its Isla and ????? I'm not going to write a name because that will give it all away so go read it you wont regret it
