The Dragon's Wing (Kit Davenport, #2)
I should have known my quest for vengeance would eventually be my downfall. I should have been more careful, more paranoid--but I'm glad I wasn't. Who knew that getting caught for my crimes would lead to so much happiness? But joy can be fleeting... It turns out, this battle is only just beginning. With ultimate power on the line, my faceless enemies will stop at nothing to capture me, dead or alive. I need to master my abilities, fast, or this could be the end for someone I care far too deeply about. I'm Kit Davenport and this is going to be a bumpy flight.

There is constant smut and gratuitous fight scenes and more villains that you can count, who are all secretly in love with Kit because she’s just so damn special. But it’s a hell of a good time. I’m 100% getting The Tiger’s Ambush when it releases early next year. Thank you to the lovely MacHalo gals for getting me hooked! You guys are hell on my tbr 😉

I just don't know what it is about this series okay, it's the hot guys and the hot sex that has me coming back for more. It's just so much fun and great escapism. No, it's not believable. But there's multiple tall, sexy, muscly, tattooed men and the reverse-harem trope, which I can't get enough of. For adults! This is not YA.Anyway, this one picks up a couple months after the first one. A couple of the same villains show up here again because the plot is being continued (mainly trying to find out who is kidnapping and experimenting on supernaturals and humans and trying to find out more details about who/what Kit is). Kit gets kidnapped in the beginning, then almost blown up, and seems to always be in danger. But we have the smoking hot Austin who is there to call her out on it and be snarky. (I love Austin and his jerkiness is starting to tone down in this one. We start to understand more why he acts the way he does.)Once again, we find out more about the world towards the end and there is a doozy of a cliffhanger. I'm just forgiving a lot because I have so much fun reading these. I do wish there was a bit more world-building, but hopefully in the next one we will find out more.I definitely like this series mostly for Kit's men. There is a MFM scene at the end that is pretty darn smoking. Buddy read with my reverse-harem loving MacHalos.

Hopefully the focus will be more on the romance and the action plot will have a clear arc.3.5 stars.

OMG!I freaking loved this book. Again, I should probably apologize for taking my sweet ass time writing this review but work has definitely got in the way.The Dragon's Wing is a multiple POV, which I absolutely loved. I am so happy that Kit is breaking down his walls piece by piece. Then there's also Wesley who I'm rooting for because I want to see her with him more often. I loved the little "dream" she had with him and I really want more. Now in this book Kit get's kidnapped, drugged, and sold all within a handful of chapters. It was pretty intense. Then there was action and two of the guys that she saved shifting into dragons was pretty interesting and highly entertaining. I liked how Vali was tied into the whole thing throughout the book; however, I don't really want him to join the Harem.. but then again, I'm not the writer here.I love the boys. I love kit. I want more romance. I really want to see Kit and Austin take the next step. I really need the third book STAT.

Binging this series as it seems to be a new guilty pleasure! I always find it harder to review sequels as it can be spoilery, but let's give it a go :)This book carries on from the first with Kit and her 5 love interests (+1 in this one!) as she explores her supernatural abilities. This one has far more sex in it than the first, and it does explore the harem aspect a lot more with more public actions, so if you're not comfortable with that, this isn't the series for you. Honestly, these are just compulsive reads, I like the range of love interests she has and how different they all are and their stages of relationship with Kit. Kit and Wesley progress a lot more in this one and I LOVED it! He's my favourite, I've now decided! Austin is also growing in my esteem, and he seemed to have the focus at the beginning. I do wish we'd seen more Lucy in this one though, I wonder if she even knows about Kit and the guys yet.

Another solid good book. This is book 2 in the Kit Davenport series and the story line continues on. In this book we get lots of action and steamy scenes.I am looking forward to the next book so more answers can be revealed. I have a guess about River, well I am starting to think I have a clue about what is going on and I am looking forward to seeing if I am right.

This series is so good and so addicting. A lot happens in this one, and we have dragons! I still love all the guys, especially Wesley (and River and Cole). I really liked the new character, Vali too. Kit finds herself being kidnapped (again), and its just a wild ride from there. Can't wait to read the next one!

This story is ridiculous, but hey, it's actually super entertaining as well! :PI started this series after I read Trickery and wanted to explore the 'Reverse Harem' genre a bit more. And for this series I have very similar thoughts: if you don't take this story too seriously this can actually be super fun. The story is action-packed, full of steamy scenes and overall a very quick read. Perfect to get out of a reading slump.

This book. What to say about this book? I loved it. I can say that. I don’t want to talk about it too much because I don’t want to give spoilers away. For one thing, we learn a little more about the mythology. We have another story arc that took off (not sure if it’s actually over, but that’s a possibility. It was a story arc to move the character development along I think. It worked but I can’t tell if it’ll be revisited). Kit as a character is fun as heck - she’s strong, doesn’t necessarily make good decisions, and she doesn’t back down from a challenge (you know, unless she has to. She just doesn’t let anyone push her around). I want to know how the new addition will fit into her mix - not to mention the very nice coincidence that I may or may not have called but appreciate anyway cause it was pretty awesome (you’ll know it when you see it). We don’t see Lucy much - she’s recovering so character-wise it makes sense, but I like her and hope she makes more of an appearance in the next book. Tate puts in some subtle hints as to the supernatural tendencies that lead to some REALLY FUN speculation and theories. All in all, Tate’s become a one-click author for me and I’m all in. If you weren’t a fan of the first book, I wouldn’t recommend this one, but I hope people enjoy it as much as I did.

I don't know what I expected from the second book, that it definitely wasn't this. I loved every minute of it! “This was exposed, vulnerable, raw, and it was majorly turning me on.” The quote is actually talking about one of their sexual scenes, but I think it also describes the book pretty well. I liked the unexpected direction the story took and the addition of characters. All in all, I'm happy to say that the second book was just as great as the first one! The h is sold, rescued, attacked, fights, heals her guys, turns 2 of them into dragons, she gets caged and fights again and faints, again. It is fast paced, with new characters, and I can't think how happy the guys are with only 1 h. Luckily, some of them like to share. It was an action packed book and good to see the h use her special skills. There is obviously a lot more to learn about Kit's background.

And then turned over to sex auction? But in her defense, she does have a lot of enemies, some known, others still unidentified. As Kit finds herself on the auction block an old enemy resurfaces. Luckily a handsome, strangely familiar Romanian Romanul/Vali steps in to make her purchase and she is whisked across the world. Her new owner is ruthless and deadly, but he isn't exactly what he appears to be and before long Kit is on her way home. After having to save her captor's life first. Theirs is a complicated new relationship. Soon enough she's reunited with her guys. Homecomings are fun! However, life around Kit is never dull or safe and she's soon forced to heal herself and save the life of one of her team. This new ability Kit has is coming in handy, but there are strings attached. The team decides that answers must be found, so they decide to take off for Alaska to follow up on leads. There they encounter danger from several fronts, find a few answers, discover new questions, and fit in some sexy times! This book is the perfect blend of action and romance, conflict, suspense, and resolutions. History plays an important role in this book on several fronts giving the story major depth. The reader is rewarded with plenty of team time with Kit. Super-steamy, but also so sweet. In many RH's the connections are purely sexual. With Kit and her guys, the emotional connections are right there alongside the sexual ones. Each relationship is unique. River and Cole, Wes, Austin, and Caleb each get quality individual and group time. This is an unbelievable group of men; one of my favorite harems ever. I couldn't pick a favorite if I tried! We learn more about each guy and each relationship is furthered in some way. The guys are all moving at their own pace with Kit so it is 100% believable. Kit, herself is sensational. She's intelligent, fearless, loving, snarky; she owns her sexuality and is a complete original. I unexpectedly love the additional character and I love that the villains are worthy opponents. I have NO negatives. This is a worthy follow-up to Vixen's Lead and I am already counting the months for book 3. I have no idea what to expect next and I love that!

What can I say? I am completely in love with Kit and her boys. This one just made it better as things are starting to set in and work themselves out for the group though there is still lots of drama. If you enjoy fantasy RH novels then you so have to read this book/series though I may be biased since I have fallen in love with everything that Tate writes by this point. I loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.

This is a fun read, by no means is it perfect and the things that keep happening to Kit are just ridiculous but the book is very addictive. The author knows how to give you enough of the mystery to keep you interested. The addition of Dragons was brilliant I loved the whole ice and fire thing going on with the two brothers. I look forward to finding out what will happen to the rest of the team should they ever need to be healed, which I am positive will happen at some stage.
