Demon Kissed
She’s an angel sent to Earth to kill a demon. The last thing she expected was to fall in love with him… Decades ago, the Demon King Ezekiel conquered Mexico City and cursed it with greed. The only way to end the curse? An angel needs to slay Ezekiel with Uriel’s Flaming Sword. But Ezekiel has stolen the Sword and hidden it in his Watchtower — the gleaming skyscraper where he lives and rules. Now the angel Rebekah has been chosen to enter the city, find the Sword, and kill the demon. When Ezekiel opens auditions for women to live in the Watchtower as his concubines, it’s the perfect opportunity for Rebekah to get close to the devilishly handsome demon king, locate the Sword, and use it to end the curse. Except that while Rebekah’s in the city, she’ll be cursed with greed, like everyone else. She must conquer her greed and complete her mission. But that’s harder than it sounds when she discovers there’s one thing she craves above all else… love from the Demon King himself. Demon Kissed is THE perfect book for fans of The Hunger Games and Supernatural! Demon Kissed is a standalone contribution to the Charmed Legacy: Cursed Angel Watchtowers collection. Stories can be read in any order.

Rebekah is an angel that has been chosen for a very important mission, she's to enter a human's body and stop the demon King Ezekiel and break his curse over Mexico. The only downside to Rebekah's mission is that she will no longer have her angel powers once she enters a human and will also be subject to the curse that has hold on the city. Once Rebekah arrives in the city and inhabits the chosen human girl she knows that she needs to find Uriel’s flaming sword to complete her mission so in turn Rebekah is an angel that has been chosen for a very important mission, she's to enter a human's body and stop the demon King Ezekiel and break his curse over Mexico. The only downside to Rebekah's mission is that she will no longer have her angel powers once she enters a human and will also be subject to the curse that has hold on the city. Once Rebekah arrives in the city and inhabits the chosen human girl she knows that she needs to find Uriel’s flaming sword to complete her mission so in turn she must find a witch to help her. Finding a witch isn't easy since it was originally a witch that changed the world to what it is allowing the demons to take control but Rebekah must complete her mission at all costs. Demon Kissed by Michelle Madow is a fast paced fantasy read that while it can be read as a standalone it is also a part of a much bigger story in the Charmed Legacy: Cursed Angel Watchtowers collection. These books can be read in any order or simply enjoyed by themselves as each contain a full story on their own. As always when picking up a book from Michelle Madow I'm just as impressed with how she can keep up such a fast pace in her books but yet create a whole complex world within that's easily understood. This story involves an angel trying to defeat a demon with the help of witches in a society broken down by the colors the citizens are divided into with a little romance and a whole lot of action all in one nice package. A great read that I'd definitely recommend checking out. I received a free advance copy of this book directly from the author, thank you to Michelle Madow for allowing me to read early. 4 Stars.Demon Kissed really grabbed me from the first moments I read the synopsis and it certainly didn't disappoint! If you're a reader looking for a fun, fast read that has interesting characters and a vivid world, then you've found your next read. Rebekah was such a great character to be the MC - she was considerate, thoughtful and pushed hard for what she wanted. She was also really honest and compassionate, which was such a delight to read (I know she is an angel, so duh, she has to be nice, but she didn't come across as boring or dull). I was completely invested in her story and her journey through the book and super wanted everything to work out for her. Ezekiel was... intense, and it was fascinating to see the difference in his personality and struggles with his darker demon sides. The other characters really fleshed out the world well - Elizabeth, Theresa, Marcos - made the world more vivid and the dystopian nature of it scarier. The plot was fast, fast, fast. Some scenes were maybe a little too rushed, but due to the nature of the book (being a fun supernatural romance) I didn't mind it and just enjoyed the ride. The plot wove together well and made sense, and the ending was absolutely fantastic, so no complaints here! The world building and mythology was really solid and as I mentioned above, felt gritty, brutal and vivid to read. I'm happy how the book ended, but also sad that this is the last time with these characters, and certainly recommend this to any readers needing a quick, fun pick-me-up book between intense reads that explores themes of love, moral dilemmas and drama, drama, drama!!!!!*Thank you to the author, Michelle Madow, for providing me with an ARC of this book. I love these characters.Michelle has this innate ability to write these complex characters with so many flaws; but these characters are always so relate-able. And Zeke especially is so complex, breath-taking, heart-breaking, and scary (he is a demon after all). Demon Kissed, is an amazing stand alone novel; the cover is gorgeous, the characters are interesting and the plot is something really relate-able at it's core. Each chapter leaves you hanging, wanting and needing more. Fast paced really does not being to describe this adventure of a lifetime. This novel is truly about how far would you go for love. How anyone is capable of love, as long as their heart is open and willing. And most importantly, honestly; what will true love can cost you; is the sacrifice worth it? You be the judge.

Michelle really knows how to transport you into another world with her writing. Demon kissed did exactly that. I could not put this book down, at the end of every chapter I had to turn the page! I don't think I could say anything without putting spoilers in but if will enjoy this book. Definitely recommend reading this! *I am voluntarily reviewing a book gifted to me by the author with no obligation.*

I was utterly unable to put this one down. A unique look at true love. What it can cost you, and what it's rewards can be. Can a demon love? Can an angel complete her mission without breaking her own heart? Can witches be trusted? Madow created a world that was unique while still feeling familiar. Taking the reader on a rollercoaster ride of adrenaline and emotion. This is a great book to pick up if you like paranormal.

Thanks to the author for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review, this doesn't in any way influence my opinion on it. Demon Kissed is a paranormal treat from the talented Michelle Madow. The interesting premise promises action, intrigue, desire, romance, magic, and it doesn't fail to deliver. The prologue alone was enough to let me know how much I will enjoy the book, It smoothly eased me into the story. Rebekah is an angel that was chosen to come to Earth to defeat the Demon King Ezekiel in his kingdom/continent/domain Mexico where he rules over from his majestic Watchtower. Rebekah was unsure of herself as she's not the oldest or strongest or best of Angels yet she was the one specifically chosen for this mission. But she was certainly determined to see it through. She had to possess a human that was assigned to her, the human she possessed is Adriana Medina—an eighteen-year-old socialite and the daughter of one of the most prominent men on the continent. Rebekah is at first a little lost as she leads Adriana's life but things begin to come into focus once more as she find a witch in the last place she expected it. She needs a witch to break the boundary spell protecting the Flaming Sword of Uriel which was stolen by Ezekiel a long time ago. It's the only weapon she can use to kill him, a quick locator spell reveals the Sword is in the Watchtower. The towering and domineering home of Ezekiel and also the most dangerous and guarded place in all of Mexico. But a opportunity to get in comes in the form of a selection for 10 new concubines for Ezekiel after the demise of the previous ones. The selection was originally created for Ezekiel to find a suitable bride that'll be by his side (It takes place each year), at the end of the year, the concubines that are still alive are usually let go for a new selection to take place. Rebekah entering the Selection as Adriana certainly caused a splash. Because of her colour ranking, Their society is ranked into 5 colour tattoos. Gold are the affluent and the wealthy, Silvers are the educated upper class citizens, Greens are the entertainers, artists, merchants etc, The Reds are those who serve the citizens of the city, they lack electricity, good money, basic amenities etc. The worst are the Blues, They’re slaves in the labor camps in the countryside, working day and night to provide the natural resources that those in the city need to live. Their lives are miserable. Most girls who audition for the Selection are from lower colours who want a chance at a better life, Golds never participate out of fear of losing their lives to the whim of their leader. Rebekah's choice caused a lot of buzz which was certainly in her favour (Adriana is obviously a Gold).Things at the Selection ball were certainly interesting and I liked the way it ended with a twist that was unexpected though everything still turned out as it should be. Rebekah has an odd beginning with Ezekiel because she first met him in town as a normal person that intrigued her, She knew him as Matthew and he also saved her life on one occasion. She was very surprised that the guy she admired turned out to be Ezekiel the Demon King. His sort of erratic behavior also doesn't seem to help, He shows signs of goodness despite his infamous cruelty. Things with Ezekiel gets really complicated as both their feelings get deeper, Rebekah still works with the witch on taking Zeke down but she's not as enthusiastic as she once was. Things take a turn as it begins to turn out she is the light that can lead him from the dark, their contrast is a nice touch. The moments before the ending is a chaotic whirlwind of betrayals, action, revelations and surprises. I really loved the way it all ended, especially that twist that made everything perfect. Zeke is not a perfect person, he is very flawed but I still love his character. Rebekah also tends to be too consumed by love but I still love her nonetheless. Their flaws are what make them such memorable characters. The ending to their story was perfect and I am genuinely interested in what next this series has to offer. The hot romance between Zeke and Beks is definitely not to be missed. Thanks to Michelle Madow for once more creating a world that's nice to get lost in. Demon Kissed has everything, Magic, Action, Love, Danger, Mystery and an intriguing plot.I recommend Demon Kissed to every paranormal fan out there, You'll love it.P.S: Apart from the fact that the cover is so freaking breathtaking, I admire the symbolism which is perfect with the story.

It is epic and beautiful and transcends time. There are also great moments of friendship, although you might not see some of it coming. As I've read the Greek myth series by Michelle, called the Elemental series, I can say that her writing style has improved so much and her story-telling is a lot better as well. There are some small things that still need improving (but that will always be there for all authors).Read this if you loved Twilight, The Hunger Games, and supernatural anything...

I hope to see more from this world in the future and hopefully some more of the characters in this book pop up too. Definitely a five star read for me.

The reason being, you can't take away from this author, her limitless supply of originality. She has managed to take darkness, betrayal, death, hell, oblivion and mix it with light, faithfulness, loyalty, determination, protection and love. This story contains both sides of the coin. The characters she cast to carry this, all had different strengths that complimented each other. It was told in the first person of the main female lead, which is a style I prefer, as you get to feel all her feelings as if they was your own, that is a skill set not all authors can accomplish. I don't like leaving spoilers, but my heart rose and crashed through most of this book. It was like a rollercoaster ride, where you want to cover your eyes, as you don't want to see what's over the next Hill, but you can't stop the feel of exhilaration at every twist and turn. This is a stand alone book. There are a few very mild sexual scenes. I would definitely recommend this to any fantasy book lover.

This won’t be an easy task because Ezekiel took the sword, used it against the land and then proceeded to hide the sword. Now Rebekah must go down, find it and save everyone enslaved because of it and the curse utilized. What she doesn’t expect is to find herself craving the love of the very man that she is sent to kill. Demon Kissed is a book that flows at a steady pace throughout the story. Rebekah is a messenger angel and she is determined to succeed at her task. If she doesn’t she knows that she herself will become cursed and cast out and become a demon. That is the last thing that she wants to happen to her. All she has to do is become part of her human host, not be discovered and survive to take out the Demon King. She’s a good character overall. She loses herself at times in the story because she allows her naivety to cloud her better judgment in certain moments. But early on in the story the surprises start coming in unexpected ways. I enjoyed reading this book but there were moments of where I found myself frowning because of Rebekah. I know that she was only watching Adriana for a few days but I would have thought that she’d have picked up more from watching her than she does. I say this because very quickly she starts making mistakes that hint that something is different about her to people who know the REAL Adriana all too well. Then when she almost gets herself killed (and her host) by falling for an obvious “snare and trap” situation I couldn’t help feeling annoyed. The situation was so apparently dangerous that common sense would say “don’t do it!” There are a couple other obvious situations but I won’t spoil those for you. This story definitely has some surprises and some twists. Some you will see coming and others you will only have a hint as to what is going to happen next. I enjoyed this book very much. For me, it was like a dark and twisted version of Cinderella. Except Prince Charming is a Demon King and Cinderella is an angel masquerading as a human with one agenda only to fall in love and wish to live happily ever after. This is a book that I absolutely enjoyed and found very hard to put down as I wanted to know what happened next. If you are a fan of Michelle Madow this is definitely a book to pick up and read. If you love paranormal romances and books with happy endings then this is definitely a book to pick up and enjoy. I’m sure that you won’t be disappointed. I am rating this book 5 out of 5 stars. Job well done to the author on another great novel.
