Too who ever has this series I recommend getting the villain series by: Serena Valentino. She has a series that tell the backstory of the evil villains. Check the series out and I definitely recommend it to go along with your descendant series. Those are my most favorite series of all time.

Mal, Evie, Jay, and Ben are graduating soon and they want to go out in a bang. They want to help more Villain Kids come to Auradon and have a new life there. But there are a few problems. Ben is now king and he has a lot of new responsibilities even after he graduates. Mal is going to have a hard time persuading the Isle kids to come to Auradon. After all, not all of the kids want to be good. Some would rather be evil when they don’t realize their real potential for good. After all, not all of the kids want to be good. Some would rather be evil when they don’t realize their real potential for good. And finally, the biggest problem is Uma. She’s still out there biding her time until she attacks again. Will the graduates figure out how to defeat Uma or will they crumble apart?I started getting into the Descendants saga at the end of fifth grade and I always loved fractured fairy tales. The first book came out before the first movie and the second and third books came out before the second movie. Recently, the fourth book in the series came out and the third movie is coming out later this summer. I was always obsessed with the books and movies and I loved how all the Disney movies were included in it. Sadly, the book language was too young for me in this book. The way the characters thought was obviously aimed toward younger readers. That said, I still liked the plot and all of the character growth that happened in this particular book. I am very excited to watch the third movie in August. Next Up: City of Ghosts by Victoria SchwabStill reading: In the Shadow of the Sun by Anne Sibley O'Brien and The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk KiddStill re-reading: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by J.K. RowlingStill listening to: Time Bomb by Joelle Charbonneau

Truth is that whenever you think Descendants are going to be a decent read, something shows up that makes you groan and you realize it's still the same bullpoop nonsense that started with hundred logic holes and doesn't intend to erase them. *sighs*The only reason I'm sticking around and reading this book is Hades. I know, I can't fathom it either, how could Beast and Belle - two mortals with no magic powers of their own - imprison and depower a GOD?! Nonetheless, here we go. One of the miserable wretches on the Isle of the Lost is none other than Hades. He too lives on rotten food and wicked dreams but unlike the other villains, who became ageing losers. Hades is a rockstar!

If you liked the previous three novels, then this one will do you. The references to Disney movies this time are a little strained, and the main issue of the last book carries over: the story sets up characters and plots that stall out, due to the film supposedly finishing the plot arcs. Otherwise, it's a cute, Disney romp, with some fluffy, and honest character development for the mains, with a bit of a focus on Jay, as he considers his life after high school. Not too much happened, but it does lead up to and explain the third movie some more, which is good. Don't know if this warranted a whole book, but I enjoyed it enough. I think the other books were a bit more enjoyable just because there was more action. I do, however, love how in general the books have provided more of an insight into the VKs' lives on the Isle of the Lost. This is especially true with Carlos, who has been significantly impacted by his mother's abuse (as have all of the VKs). This was a really fun story that is making me really excited for the next movie. I can’t wait to see how all of their lives unfold, how their fight with Uma comes to a head, and I can’t wait to get to know the new characters it looks like we’ll be getting.

I have waited so long to get my hands on this book! As soon as it came, I started reading and couldn't stop. I actually read this book twice before writing this review. I loved it so much. I really hope and pray that we can eventually have at least one more book!!!

Is this then end of the series? I loved reading each book and learning more about the main characters and new characters. I am really sad to see it end, but I am looking forward to Descendants 3 to continue the story.

I liked parts of it, but you can tell that it was more of a filler and filling in gaps from the next Disney original movie. But they are kids books! So if another comes out I will read it!
