3.5 rounded upHa, I had a feeling the demons weren't being altruistic. And we're back into a story that has a ton of potential for things to go wrong, which is fun lol.

4.5/5 stars Still very good, but this one is my least favorite so far. At a whopping 4.5 rating that’s still saying a lot about the whole series! I don’t know what was missing for me in this volume... Who am I kidding. I know what’s missing. Norman!! Also, “friends” my ass!! Can we trust anything in this?? And I definitely was not expecting that ending. My WEBSITEMy INSTAGRAMMy WORDPRESS BLOG

I'm always suspicious of new characters but when you think they're okay it just goes downhill again and I don't know why I'm even shocked but I am. Again, leaving you with a cliffhanger. That's the main thing this series is going for. Every volume ends with a cliffhanger. I'm so so so excited for volume 7! I wanna know what's happening next. I love this series so much!

Another thing that I appreciate about this series is how the main characters are handled. One of the things I hate most about horror manga is that at times teenagers are over sexualized. To me that is disgusting and I could never enjoy the story because of that. I am thankful that isn’t the case with The Promised Neverland. Last books suspense was resolved but they just like to keep adding on and don't doubt in leaving the book in a suspenseful way. We got to learn more about the Demons and a huge deal with the Outside world and Mr.Minerva. Can'r wait to see what the children will face next because who are we kidding? Its not like these kids are going to catch a break.

The outside world is explained to the children by their savior, and it's anything but what they imagined. They still find a glimmer of hope among the heap of depressing information. The pursuers are still on their track. And if they break the promise then all hell will break loose. They are gonna break the promise anyway without knowing the consequence.

The Promised Neverland volume 6: B06-32 picks up where he last volume left off with a mysterious pair appearing to save Gilda’s group and another saving Ray. I’ll say friends for now because they did help us out, but Sonju begins to get a little iffy towards the end of the volume. However, I do like both of these demons that we have somehow become friends with somehow. Sonju ans Mujika are both kind beings who do not eat humans because it goes against their religious faith. However, that faith does not prohibit hunting humans who exist naturally in the world - however the farms are viewed as unnatural, so... but these two are kind and gentle, and they have taught the kids a lot - what plants to eat, what herbs are helpful, even how to cook and hunt! Which led to my favorite scene this volume - Sonju teaching Emma about the Gupna which is where they use a vampiric plant to drain the blood from the prey as a way to honor the gods. And you can only eat the prey of the flower blooms... but the pry must be alive when you insert the flower to their heart... meaning they Conny and the others were alive when this happened to them. Watching that emotional struggle Emma has as she accepts that and then goes though with the Ceremony was very impactful. The Promise ans Farms was what we have all be longing to learn? What happened to the humans? Why do these farms exist? The reasoning was a lot more believable than I anticipated. Long ago, demons and humans shared the world and humans were hunted by the demons... then humans learned to fight back and eventually, humans were killing more demons than demons were humans... and so both sides struck up a bargain. The world would separate into two halves - and some humans would be left behind for the demons to manage and breed (these are the farms). The children we all love are descended from these humans left behind to feed the demons. However, not all farms produce high grade. Including a Grace Field, only four exist. The rest mass produce humans, ones with no free will and unable to speak or think... it’s a horrible realization. The Seven Walls is a mystery and one I am I triture by. Why does Mujika want Emma to find the Walls? The Bunker an underground shelter was ingenious and kudos to Mr. Minerva for thinking outside the box. But who is the man inside? He seems a little rough around the edges to be Mr. Minerva. I can’t wait to find out. This was a great volume where we learned a lot. Most don’t enjoy informational volumes like these but I love them! And I loved our two new friends. 5 stars out of 5.

I didn’t fully trust the new demon characters when they were first introduced, even when they provided shelter and food for the kids I still felt suspicious about them. There was a very unsettling feeling despite all the cute and happy moments. There was a very unsettling feeling despite all the cute and happy moments. So now we know Mujika has never eaten humans nor as the desire to but Sonju has that past experience but hopes for the day “the promise” is broken so that he can hunt humans naturally. So basically Sonju awaits the day free-range humans will be in abundance and that was his reason for saving the kids from their pursuers (the scene where he slashed them to pieces with his sword was super cool. I can’t wait to see it animated). Not exactly a pure and altruistic motive but he is a demon after all. Emma and Mujika’s moment together looking at Emma’s family photos and expressing gratitude for their friendship was heartfelt. I wished they could spend more time together. Mujika doesn’t trust or agree with Sonju’s vision for the future because she lies to Sonju about the nature of her and Emma’s conversation and also secretly gives her an amulet and whispers something about how they must search for the “seven walls.” What could these things mean?Other interesting things we’ve learned:1) only four farms including Grace Field produce high quality humans while the rest are factories mass producing hundreds of force-fed humans who lack awareness, intelligence and the ability to speak. I think that panel was the most disturbing image I’ve seen in this series *shudders* 2) “Gupna” is a religious ritual demons take part in before their meals (it drains the blood and the flower blooms if accepted by the demons’ god). The writing and pace of this volume was enjoyable and as consistent as the previous books. I found that some of the dialogue was repetitive which is typical in Shonen manga but in this particular book it was quite noticeable. Some readers may disagree with me and think my following suggestion would be too much of an interruption but I wished there were a few panels showing us what is currently going on in Grace Field. Has Isabella been fired? Killed? How’s Phil and the other kids doing? Has their home been rebuilt after the fire? I’m dying to know. I don’t need a whole chapter about but I hope Shirai revealed what’s going on in the next couple chapters. On to the next volume...
