I really enjoyed this book the last issue on its own would have been 5 stars. The other 4 issues I would have given probably 3 stars average. Ge story is ok I have to say though I am not a great fan of the art work, and the dialogue. For such dark, conflicts and angry characters the art and dialogue just seemed to kiddie-ish. Hellstorm grew on me as the series moved on. Satana I did not particularly care about, but she did her small role well. Then there is Blade. Another of my favorite characters but I don’t think he was really needed in this story. I would have really liked for him to be used more or have a bigger contribution.A good mini series with great promise, and I would not mind seeing these guys team up again, or star in their own series based on this (but with darker artwork), or a sequel to this story. Also a variant cover gallery or issue 1 at the end.

Yeeeuuuccchhh!), but I just loved how they worked together: Blaze and Blade really seem Danny and Luke sometimes and Daimon is like a Reed Richards leader out of Hell. And Baldeón's exaggerated Ghost Rider has his moment of glory in 5th final issue, making me scream "FUCK YEAH!!! A decent Spirit of Vengeance at last!!!".So sad no sequel upcoming, just a new Ghost Rider series announced in the end of 5th issue... better than nothing else.A great opportunity wasted for good.

Yep, another cheat completion from reading the floppies (so I'm not perfect-I prefer to do the reviews of an entire arc and rarely single issues). My initial impression was that this was supposed to be the first installment of a new series.Nope. This is it folks. Don't expect to see these characters back in unless it is in the rumored Dr. Strange comic spin-off comic. Based off this story, they probably don't deserve their own series. Because...Blade has been screwed up ever since Marvel tried to make the comic version match the movie version (producing a continuity more convoluted than Doctor Who); Helstrom's best run was a brief Warren Ellis bit; Blaze/Ghost Rider, the only time I enjoyed him was in some over the top Jason Aaron stories; Santanna, remains pretty much a zero. Why three stars then? Because as a reviewer of the final issue said last week it really does redeem itself a good deal at the end. Demons try to find a loophole in their treaty with Heaven, and the result was at least a little different from what I expected. But, if you watch Supernatural on television Michael is just as big a dick here as he is there.

3.5 StarsGhost Rider, Blade, Daimon Hellstrom and Satana all team up to stop a plot to give Hell control of Earth. A plot is hatched to kill an Archangel using the silver of Judas Iscariot, but Marvel's supernatural heroes step up to stop it. Overall not bad, but it did have a few flaws. The art wasn't bad but seemed a little cartoony for this story. Also, Blade seemed to almost be an afterthought, and even Ghost Rider wasn't really the main character, which seemed to be more Hellstorm. When Johnny Blaze takes a seat at the bar and orders a drink, he thinks it's just going to be another day. Daimon Hellstrom (AKA Hellstorm, who is the son of Lucifer) informs Johnny that the bullet is made from one of the 30 pieces of silver given to Judas. "The Covenant", a ceremony where angels and demons meet on neutral ground to discuss the tentative peace between them, is coming. The other 29 pieces of silver have been used to make a weapon, once the 30th piece is added, that can kill archangels. Sorcerer Necrodamus, a human, is hoping to bypass the peace and give the edge to the forces of darkness.Enter the Spirits of Vengeance : Ghost Rider, Hellstorm, Blade, and Satana.War between heaven and hell, but with a team in the middle... definitely amazing! It's wonderful to see Ghost Rider and Blade again. The MU has been missing them for quite sometime now.Recommend.

*Read as single issues.*Here's the thing...it wasn't one I'll revisit...ever. It really wasn't much to my liking.HOWEVER!It had some ideas I've seen before that worked well the first time. It had some moments that worked, but I've seen done to more effect in other stories. Therefore, it's my belief that the right mind reading some of these concepts for the first time and one that can appreciate the heavily stylized art...that reader might fall in love with this story. I'm not sure if it's because I'm not quite familiar with the characters in this series, but it felt a bit like it was building up to something really great and interesting, only to be let down by a rather rushed final issue. I think the Judas myth was quite interesting and another issue may have helped to clear things up a bit more, instead I found myself having to re-read the last 3 pages to understand. Overall, it was ok. But i am interested in reading more of their stories.

Alright, so, yes, Judas stories are pretty overdone. But this one works well, has great pacing and storytelling and absolutely wonderful artwork. I also really, really, really love this particular team of characters, some of whom I don't see front and center nearly as often as I would like. Why is this a mini-series? I NEED the ongoing!

Essentially this is the return of Damion Hellstrom, Satana, and Johnny Blaze/Ghost Rider. Overall this story was a great concept and was just a really fun ride!
