Stephens Genre: Paranormal Romance, Fantasy Publication Date: December 14, 2017 Here's the truth.. I cried.. Literally cried when I got the ARC of this book. I blame hormones and also the fact that I love this author's work. The Thoughtless series? Hands down my favourite series in the world! But the Conversion series was what made me fall in love with her writing. It has been 7 years since the first book from the series- conversion was published and might I say that I have been a loyal reader. This Adams family will always be favoured my me over the other Addams Family (Cartoon). Here's the truth, Teren and Emma are everything we wish we were and their adorable twins Nika and Julian stole our hearts since the publication of  ''Til Death'.After the ending of The Next Generation, I was restless! I needed to know what was going to happen to this family. I needed to know what was going to happen with Nika and Julian's love life... The Beast Within did not disappoint! This book is filled with such sweet young-love yet still has plenty of suspense, frustration, heartbreak and drama. It had me hooked from the get-go and turned me into an obsessive reader who just couldn't get enough. I will say this, The last 30% of the book broke my heart. *This is where I cried again*. I feel like I grew up with these characters and... Bottom line...I don't like change. I knew something was bound to happen but not this way! I simply adored this book and I can't wait to get my hands on Family is Forever (Conversion #6)!If you haven't read the Next Generation, Might I suggest you do? You wont understand the gravity of the book if you don't. Trust me.For more reviews and giveaways follow my blog at www.jemimajamir.com

4.5 Stars The Beast Within is 5th book in the Conversion series. However, you do need to read the 4th book to understand this book as everything continues on from that one; but it is not necessary to read books 1 through 3 to understand anything as books 4 and 5 are sort of "offspring" of those. I was super excited to see where SC would take us in The Beast Within after reading The Next Generation. While I thoroughly enjoyed the overall story, I did find myself at times, skimming part of this book. It's not that I found it boring, I just felt there were more details to minor things that I didn't care for and skimmed those parts. LOLThe story is told from both Julian and Nika's POVs like the previous book, but we also get Hunter's POV in this one. I wish we would have had more of his POV than we got but there was still enough to understand everything. I felt Julian's relationship with Arianna flowed decently into this book (there were a few times I felt it might be overbearing to the main story line though). But overall, it paired well with everything else going on and also helped readers see Julian in a better light and build his character too.SC did a great job of giving us both the romance and the suspense in this book. I thought every fight scene was well played out and wasn't too over or under written. And the sexy times were definitely amped up in this book and I felt fit perfectly into where things were headed with everyone. SC stayed true to her characters and their reactions on different scenes, which helped keep the story relevant and as real to life as you can get in a paranormal romance. LOLOverall, it was a very enticing read and a great continuation of these two siblings. The book flowed well and kept me entranced the majority of the time. I am really hoping that SC gives a book next about Julian and what is to come for him.

Can we get the final book now??? That was a very cruel ending. I want to see what is going to happen next. Julian should fix this. Nothing else it's acceptable. And as more time passes, the more I am starting to think that it was an appropriate way to end that storyline. I believe that Julian's feelings for Arianna are pure and he doesn't want Raquel anymore, but he doesn't show that to the people looking from the outside. He is not a bad person, but he needs to let Raquel go once and for all from his life. In my review for The next generation, I mentioned how much I didn't want to see drama between Arianna, Julian and Raquel and they are still making my life harder. On this cover, I believe we see Nika and Hunter. It would make sense because this is a sort of ending to their story. There is more to tell, but at least they are on a solid ground, unlike some other people I know. Their journey is not easy and a lot of bad things happen on the way. You have to read this book and the next one. Everything in this book felt natural and while I wasn't happy with some of the things that happened, I feel like they should have happened. The characters needed to grow up a little. Julian needed to appreciate Arianna more, Arianna still needs to come to terms with the vampiric side of the boyfriend, Hunter needed to accept that he is a vampire now and Nika is still a mystery to me. She has a long journey in the next book, but I feel like she is already a grown character.I have to say that I liked the way the author decided to deal with the bond the twins have shared for so long. It wasn't fun to see how they were able to handle it, but in the end it worked out for them, so I guess it's ok. The pace of the book was good. I don't need to comment on the characters because they are the same loveable ones we know. Julian could use some work, but I have hope for him after everything he went through. Overall the book was good, the twists were not predictable and my heart broke a little in the end.

So, I found she had a paranormal romance book called Conversion. I was completely bewitched. Hands down, the BEST paranormal book on this book. I was completely captured by this series that devoured every single book in the series. I go to the last book. I was so obsessed and then the series stopped there with no continuation. My heart bled. I needed my answers. It could not end there. When I finally got the news she was continuing the series, I danced and formed cartwheels in my mind. LOL. I know silly. I am obsessed. I am crazy. The Beast Within was everything and more. The Beast Within was a paranormal romance filled with lots of drama, extraordinary characters and charm that will tantalize and thrill you. The Beast Within was an experience of young love, suspense, survival, heart ache, pain, loss, fear told with such reverence and beauty. I was waiting for this continuation for such a long time and it totally made my heart melt and excited. The Beast Within is no ordinary vampire book. No, it is a a book that will tear your heart, ruin your soul, swoon and make you become an emotional mess. The suspense killed me. The drama got me on the edge of my seat. The storyline was absolutely sensational. My inner self was shaken. This book was such a length book but it just took my breath away that I did not mind at all. S.C. Stephens took me on a journey and I loved every single moment of it.The Adams Family are such a strong family unit. You feel their hopes, dreams, feelings and emotions. I am totally addicted to them. In The Beast Within, their bond is tested and their family units goes through a lot in the book. I love the Adams. They are truly one of my favourite family ever.I was in book heaven with The Beast Within. I can't wait to read the next installment. I know it is going to be fiery as ever. I highly recommend this book. But you need to read the first three boooks.ARC provided by author in exchange for an honest review.

This novel brought out a lot with the rest of the family as well. When push comes to shove, what would you do? Meanwhile, Nika's brother Julian is ready to take the next step with his girlfriend Arianna, but with so many obstacles in their way, it seems impossible. THE BEAST WITHIN will be an instant hit with vampire romance fans, but I'm not one of them. I'm super picky about my paranormal reads, and teenage romances are definitely not my cuppa, so I'm going to try and review this without those built in biases. So that said, book 5 of the Conversion series will appeal to a lot of people since it has a similar feel to another popular high school based vampire series. It had drama, excitement, loads of teenage angst and sexual tension. The characters were developed nicely, and even though I'm jumping into this series blindly, I felt like I was able to get to know their stories. When the silver-plated bullets started to fly, this read got very interesting very quickly and I found myself slowing the skimming and actually diving a little deeper into THE BEAST WITHIN. The action was exciting and well written. I wish the book were shorter, but again, that's just my personal preferences showing. Anyone who loves teenage vamps will adore this book. Bottom Line: A mild OW situation; no condom use; no BDSM/kink; no sexual assault; vampire violence/murder.

While I knew Hunter's story would be an angsty one; rife with internal struggle, self-loathing, and denial, I was surprised to find a story of unconditional love, family, belonging, and forgiveness as well. A wonderful addition to the Conversion series taking us in a new and completely unexpected direction, I can only hope it isn't the last we see of the Adams family for a very long time.Hunter, as can be expected, had a whole lot of inner turmoil going into this book and needed to find help and support and acceptance. Whether he will ever truly accept what he has turned into is still yet to be seen, but the journey that he takes in order to hopefully get there is exactly what I had hoped for, and then some. The love that Hunter had found, and that I'm sure we've all been hoping he will embrace with Nika, is sweet and tension filled, absolute, and drama ridden and takes you for a ride through some twists and turns you could easily foresee and some that will completely throw you for a loop. While centered around the aftermath of Hunter's conversion and Nika's ever present and unwavering love, The Beast Within is full of surprises, action packed, and keeps you on your toes. The Adams family is anything but ordinary and each member of the family 's story seems to get even more difficult and suspenseful as we go. Hunter's story may seem to be going exactly the way it should be but watch out, one surprise begins to shake everything up leading to a domino effect throughout every piece of the story and culminating in an ending I never saw coming.Captivating, thrilling, and the perfect continuation of Hunter, Nika, and even Julian's story. Almost as exciting as the end of The Next Generation, I can't wait for more from these three.

Jules is loved up in his romance with Arianna and Nika's moping over Hunter. While they both experience the usual teen romantic dramas they do have the added complication of their vampire family and evil trackers/hunters.I have to admit I did find happy Julian a little confusing at first, but liked seeing another side of him. Plus I'm pretty sure there's lots more brooding on the way. I did like the twist with Raquel, whom I felt had only previously served to annoy Arianna. I wasn't expecting the way things went down with Arianna and still can't decide how I feel about her.Once I managed to move past Nika's age, I've been very much pro her relationship with Hunter. I liked seeing her trying to get through to him and show him how great things could be.I love it when the entire Adams clan band together to protect their life on the farm/ranch. I wasn't disappointed because there's lots of action in this book, oh and cows. The twintastic bond. I'm not sure I would personally want to be involved in all aspects of their bond, I do really enjoy all Nika's and Julian's sweet twin moments.Oh the cliffy ending! I can always tell if I enjoyed a story depending on how annoyed I am about a cliffhanger ending. I knew I was coming to the end of The Beast Within but kept hoping for a few more pages. Role on Family is Forever!!4 Stars in my Sky!

Her writing has been able to completely enthrall me since Thoughtless and I simply can’t wait to see where so goes from here not only within this series, because man do we end on a cliffhanger of cliffhangers, but where she can steer her writing too in any genre. In The Beast Within, we get an added POV from what we have come accustomed too. SC mixes in a little of Hunter’s POV. I simply adored it and wished there was more of it. I loved getting into his mind as well as further into the inner workings of Nika and Julian. I do love that we can truly see the turmoil that Hunter is going through as he fully converts to a vampire. His heart is truly broken having become one of the creatures he has hunted and desired to eliminate for years. He struggles with how to deal with this new life he has always loathed, and it really makes for an interesting twist you don’t always seen in a Vampire novel. When the person becoming one is so against it they are in such mayhem within. We do get a very wide array of other plot twists and very angsty moments through this book as well. There is still a story of the vampire hunters that add so much angst to the book. We get more from Nika and Julian as well. Their stories are very interesting in this installment of the series. The Adams are a unique bunch and this book just adds to the inner workings of it all. SC has packed so much action, suspense, romance and even a bit of heartbreaking moments into The Beast Within. I can’t wait to see what is next for these characters and where she will take them. *I received an ARC copy of this title at my request, and am providing this voluntary review*

The Conversion series has long been a favorite of mine, from way back in the beginning. I was thoroughly impressed with the book before this one when we were first introduced to Julian and Nika as teenagers, but this one, it’s outstanding. Still focusing on the twins, we’re brought deeper into their world and what has happened since the events of the previous book. The entire family is deeply involved and we get to spend SO MUCH time with all the characters that we know and love. This book packs a huge emotional punch. From first love, losing love, life and death, and survival there isn’t a moment of slowing down once you start. Getting to read from the points of view of Nika, Julian, and Hunter you see every angle of what is happening, and truly feel all that they are going through. I had so many “OMG DID THAT JUST HAPPEN!?” moments while reading this! I am dying for more!

First, let me say, this book really doesn’t stand alone. It would enrich the experience if you read the first 4 books in the series. So you will get more of their love story in this book. The vampire hunters are still in play and caused me some major angst! Hunter will help put an unexpected twist on how his new family deals with vampire hunters. I won’t say more because I don’t want to spoil it! S.C. I have the paperback of this book, wasn't given the option for that format.S.C. Stephens stories and characters always have that extra little mystery and excitement about them. I promise you that you will not be disappointed!

Great book, 4.75 stars! Is it possible the cursed can have luck on their side? Lucky in love and unlikely in life, or is it the other way around? Love and hate, these are 2 things these characters feel strongly about and know nothing is black and white. The old and new characters developed fantastically in this story. The emotional and physical war they go through had me flipping the pages as fast as I could. I never knew what to expect next. I liked being in each of their heads and hearts. It didn’t hinder the progression of the plot at all. My only problem was I didn’t feel as connected to one of them. I won’t say which character since it might have just been to many POV’s to feel as deeply for them all as I would have liked. Just like the book before this one, there is love, heartbreak, and death. I hope you don’t mind a few cliffhangers. I can’t wait for the 6th book!

Every Member of the Adam family has a place in my heart and you can't help but love each and every one of them. I can't wait to read the next book ❤️❤️❤️

I’m positive I’m not the only one hanging with bated breath for the next installment, where our questions will be answered. Well done, Ms. Stephens…well done indeed.Kristie K

I love this take on vampires. I have plowed through all of these books in a matter of a few weeks so that I could be prepared for this read. I started with the saga of Teren and Emma...so amazing and jumped to Nika and Julian. These kids...just wow. Such a unique take on vampires, family and love. Great action, marvelous adventure and the heart ache of doing what is best for all parties involved. This series has become a favorite of mine and I am loving the story changing focus to the twins. I loved the first book, but this book has appealed to me even more. There is so much suspense and drama and heart, I was hanging on every word. I could not put this book down and I am dying to read more in the series. S.C. Stephens has long been one of my favorite authors and this is exactly why.

I love this series. The storyline is creative and keeps me hooked. I normally don't care for paranormal genres but this is the exception. With the twin bond, sire bond, and romantic storylines, you won't want to put this down.

Keeping it in the family This book picks up where book 4 left off. Yes you should read them in order. Or you will not know wht is going on. It doesnt have a cliffhanger ending. But, there is room for more with the story.

With Hunter being newly turned into a vampire against his will, things certainly does not goes easy on him. He have to adapt a new diet, control his urge to overuse his supernatural strength power, and his attraction towards Nick.

A slow book. A lot happened, but a lot more doesn't. Most of the book is either Nika or Hunter whining each other or in Hunters case about his life. Everyone was really annoying with all the angst. I really love this series so I hope the next one isn't this bad.

BeastI love this series. Especially the twins. Love the connection they have and how well they get along. This one was just as great as the other. Lots of excitement. Drama and sweet moments. Glad everything if finally starting to fall into place. Can't wait for the next book.
