Rage (Stormheart, #2)
Princess or adventurer.Duty or freedom. Her Kingdom or the Stormhunter she loves. If Aurora knows anything, it's that choices have consequences. To set things right, she joins a growing revolution on the streets of Pavan. In disguise as the rebel Roar, she puts her knowledge of the palace to use to aid the rebellion. But the Rage season is at its peak and not a day passes without the skies raining down destruction. Yet these storms are different—they churn with darkness, and attack with a will that’s desperate and violent. This feels like more than rage. It feels like war.

I'm incredibly excited to announce that I have been chosen to participate on Cora Carmack's Street Team for Rage and I couldn't be any more happy to spread more love for Cora and her books. Roar was a whirlwind of magic and action. And of course, it doesn't hurt that there are several very hot love interests.I'll occasional be posting updates here for anything Rage Street Team related, but I highly encourage you to follow me on Instagram: www.instagram.com/bitchinreads :)

As usual, Cora Cormack does NOT disappoint. I have missed Roar, Locke and Cassius for so long and was so happy to see them again right where they were left off. Learning more about storms, their purposes and the spirits was an incredible ride and still not enough for me! I want MORE ROAR!!! I would recommend this series for any fans of Graceling, the Grishaverse, and Avatar the Last Airbender. The struggle with having a five star sequel you wanna gush about to the world but don’t wanna spoil book one (for any unsuspecting reader who doesn’t know there’s another book before this one) and don’t wanna spoil this book because it deserves a prestige no spoilers intake. There is a lot of character growth here, for Roar and her crew, with each other as a made family and as individuals. It was lovely to see.3. I understood Locke more here though he still isn’t bae4. Cassius is bae and damn if I don’t love him even more now?!5. I have SO many theories and new ships and still old ships and there was so much I didn’t see coming! I would wait another two years for book three if that’s what it took because it was that amazing. I love this world, I love these characters and I can’t wait to see what will happen next.

We learn more about Earth and Water magic. More about stormling magic, and of course more about Roar's mysterious magic. There wasn't much I didn't like, and I honestly cannot decide if j like Cassius of Kiran more. Definitely recommend this series

I received an e-ARC from Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review. Review can be found on *Milky Way of Books*This sweet book was one of my most anticipated. And while I didn't re-read the first book I didn't feel lost. I remembered quite a lot and additionally, Cora took pains in reminding me how all the characters came to be. New characters are also introduced along with old ones and the comedy relief in some parts of the story was refreshing. The ending was also a cliffhanger and I don't know if there'll be anything left of Pavan after the third book is published!

Thank you to the publisher and Edelwiess for providing me with a review copy!Another short and simple review until I write a more in-depth one closer to release! I really enjoyed this book, and thought it was a great sequel to the first one. The only reason I’m rating it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it was a little dull at times. What I did enjoy about this book is that we got to know the side characters more in this book, as it wasn’t soley focused around Aurora. It was great seeing the personalities of Nova, Jinx, and Duke and seeing what their lives were like before the events of Roar.I also really enjoyed seeing more of the magic in this book. This series has such a unique magical system that I haven’t found in any other books, which I found very clever and refreshing. The magic isn’t cookie cutter like other YA fantasy books tend to be, and seeing more about Aurora’s new found powers, and seeing her learn to control them, was very interesting and kept me intrigued.Overall, I thought this was great for a “second in series” book and it did keep me hooked most of the time! It was very detailed and the world building was a lot more intricate than Roar. The book ends on a very brutal cliff hanger and I’m really looking forward to seeing what happens next!Read this review on my blog: https://thefaeriereader.wordpress.com...

ARC provided by EdelweissI didn't love this one as much as the first one. It had moments that were slow and I wasn't excited to pick it back up and read. The last 25% though was great! I had no idea what was going to happen and am now dying for the third one. I hope we don't have to wait as long. I definitely see Aurora develop and grow in this book. I think her and Kiran's relationship is a lot better too. The over protectiveness drives me nuts at times, but he was a lot better in this one. Thank you Edelweiss+ for giving me an eArc of this book. I was so excited for this sequel because I loved the first book, Roar. There were times when I had to force myself to read it because some parts were slow and I lost interest. I feel like not a whole lot happened in this book, and a lot of the story was just fillers. I wanted more action! I was confused many times throughout this book, first the author used all of the main character’s names, Aurora, Rora, and Roar interchangeably making it hard to keep up- there were also a couple times when Kiran was called Locke, and the narrator viewpoints changed often leaving me confused. Don’t get me wrong the last 20% of the book was good and there were lots of storms, magic, and emotions that pulled me in, and it ends on a cliffhanger leaving me wanting to know more... of course! I am still excited for the next book and I am hoping for more action. I also like the character development of Aurora, and I’m hoping for more of that in the next book. I also enjoyed the spotlight on some smaller characters in this sequel and I am looking forward to more backstory and development on those characters.

I'm usually really picky when it comes to YA (young adult) novels because I find many of them too immature for me, so if you're in the same boat ... I can promise you that this book is satisfactorily mature enough what with the violence and the romance amidst the backdrop of a revolution. Advice: (1) Read the first book first. You'll be a little lost if you don't. (2) Try not to binge read it like I did. This book needs to be savored, otherwise you'll share my book hangover. Would I recommend this book? Heck yes!
