Rainey with a Chance of Hale (Rainey Bell, #6)
Rainey Bell, a former FBI Behavioral Analyst, has had a couple of quiet years since her last brush with death. Her old teammate with the BAU and her children's Godfather, Danny McNally, pays a visit to North Carolina from Quantico to escort Rainey into the Butner Federal Correctional Complex. Rainy made a promise almost twenty years ago to a distraught mother of a missing child. The opportunity to fulfill that pledge, one she should never have made, presents itself in the form of Chance Obadiah Hale. The teenager Rainey believed responsible for Alyson Grayson's disappearance was now a man in prison who wanted to talk, but only to Rainey. Can Rainey and Danny finally get to the truth about Alyson and Chance? Or, will Rainey's stubborn belief in his guilt put everyone she loves in mortal danger? Eeny, meeny, miny, moe. Who will be the first to go?

When Rainey is asked to talk to the man she thinks knows the answer she puts her FBI/BAU hat on once again to solve a ‘cold case’ from her past. The Rainey Bell series is one of the best out there, constantly new, fresh and imaginative, with shocking tales of human depravity set against the ongoing cuteness of Rainey and Katie’s growing family. After stopping her young daughter becoming a soccer thug Rainey goes to Butner Federal Correctional Complex with Danny to talk to a deranged inbred suspected serial killer, and Rainey knows which is harder – controlling her precocious 5 year old.Consistently well written RE Bradshaw’s books are always extremely well edited and produced, perfect examples of how good independent publishing can be when done properly. The stories are engrossing, drawing the reader into Rainey and Katies’ lives, and the twisted and brutal minds of the killers the BAU deal with. Like many avid fans this one got consumed in one sitting. RE Bradshaw pulls you right in and shuts the door behind you. While each book is very much part of the series they all stand alone, and this is certainly readable without the back history of the other books, but why would you deprive yourself of the pleasure? Unfailingly good stories, wonderful strong women, top notch crime thrillers and a backdrop of a charming ongoing romance. Simply the best in class.

A clever masterpiece!A fast paced clever thriller brimming with intrigue, insanity, danger, twists and shocking turns. It slowly builds up to an ingenious, nail biting, explosive climax. Some scenes were horrifying and make one’s blood run cold. I love how the book starts with telling about the murders etc. in chronological order and revealing backstories. A great starting point for this installment. The story has also a well-balanced cast of characters. Characters who are vividly and compelling A clever masterpiece!A fast paced clever thriller brimming with intrigue, insanity, danger, twists and shocking turns. Great readSo happy to have Rainy, Katie their family and friends back in another fantastic thriller. I love this series and the dynamics between Rainy and those around her especially her and Katie's triple threat kids. The story was well paced and the events quite interesting, the Hale family were a sick bunch of individuals, really sick. I look forward to more stories of Rainy and her family including Wendy and Danny.

Another Great Rainey Bell NovelI really love this series. This novel continued in the awesome vein that the rest of the series exhibits. I really enjoyed the fact Danny is looking to be a more permanent fixture in these stories, he is one of my favorite side characters. Cathleen is also looking like a great character that we will see more of (can't have too many kick ads women). Hope for many more in the Rainey series.

Excellent!I loved Rainey with a Chance of Hale. Exciting, intriguing, fast paced and action packed. The Hale family (the bad guys) is a very sick, slick bunch. Great seeing Rainey and Katie together with their kids.
