This was good! The ending is killer (hehe). Note that this is NOT a companion series - it's a continuous series so don't expect the ending to wrap up nicely (it doesn't)! There are two more books to follow! Moar Beckham and Reyna. ;)***Review to come***

Now it's time for book 2!

I feel like the Vampire world K.A. Linde creates is limitless. The thing I like most about Blood Type is the type of world the characters live in. The Vampires and Human live together in an almost dystopian society. The economy collapsed and there’s a huge divide in the upper and working class. The Vampires dominate the upper class and the humans are the working class, not all, but most. Reyna doesn’t want to be a burden for her brothers anymore and decides to do what she can only do to bring in money for the family. She decides to work for a corporation that matches humans to Vampires so the humans can provide blood 24/7. Also known as a blood escort. Don’t you love it? The premise of the book is the best and within the first few pages I was glued to the book and I couldn’t put it down. I read Blood Type within one sitting just wondering how everything will go down. Beckham is a wealthy and powerful Vampire. He works with the corporation that has hired Reyna and Reyna is also his blood escort. The only thing is, he doesn’t seem interested in drinking from Reyna.Beckham was very difficult in this book and frustrated me at times, but that is so typical K.A. Linde. She creates hateable, but loveable heroes. You want to slap and jump with them at the same time. Beckham has a hot and cold personality that was difficult to warm up to, but it kept you curious to why he acts the why he acts. Also, like typical K.A. Linde fashion the book has angst and the tension between Beckham and Reyna is high. You will be rooting for them to get their act together and just work it out. During all of the drama, you soon learn the world the characters live in is harsh. There’s a lot of poor and starving people and also dangerous people. I liked the political aspects of the book as well and it added a little something to the story other than the romance part. I was curious to where it would go and how everything would develop. Overall, I enjoyed Blood Type and if you are a fan of K.A. Linde, you will not be disappointed. Tie in a broody, asshole of a hero who has a big heart underneath? I'm sold. Told from our heroine Reyna's POV, we're thrust into a dystopian world in which people not only know about vampires, but with the economy being in such shambles, find their only way to make sufficient income is to work as blood donors for them. With two brothers working to keep a roof over their heads in the factories, she realizes that without the means to get a college education, she needs to contribute and help her family. She goes to work as a subject for the vampires, but is offered a permanent position for double the pay. Not one to turn down a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, despite still being afraid of what will happen to her, she accepts and is matched with Beckham. Beckham is a powerful (and rich) vampire. He gives her everything she could ever ask for, but after a week, he still hasn't fed from her. The other vampires he associates with, though, openly feed from their pets and Reyna realizes that Beckham might be the only sane one amid this league of professionals. He's tender when no one is looking, and protects her.Soon, the politics behind Beckham's company begin to take off and things are getting dangerous. Reyna makes some insane realizations, not only about the people around her, but also about her own feelings toward Beckham and his feelings toward her. This has suspense, angst and a world in which a human and vampire working together might be their city's only hope. This is book 1 of the Blood Type series, and I can't wait to continue. It's ends on a crazy cliffhanger and I'm going to be dying to figure out what happens next.'Til next time cuties ;)

3-3.5 stars! Blood Type has some great potential to become a GREAT series. It started off strong, but it did feel a little predictable and overdone towards the last half. But I am intrigued to learn more about this new world and the characters KA Linde has created.Review to come! Thanks to the publisher for generously providing me an ARC to review.

At the end of the book.. my questions have questions! .. how refreshing a sentence. This book is a telling of vampires rising to the top of humanity by using blood donors to supply them with blood. The new wave of this donor system is a live in blood supply like a pet. And I love the main characters and side characters. Everyone seems to really open up and develop as the story continues. Some develop into people you for sure hate and some you are unsure of their end character and end game. This is a real case of Who is Who, who can you trust.. and who dun it! Only her screams had jolted him back to reality…and even then the monster was still brimming under the surface I hear this is a 3 book series which makes me happy and sad since I need my conclusion now !!! but the series doesn’t end till August of 2018… booo!!!

Reyna will do anything to help take care of the only family she has left, even become a permanent blood bag for one of the wealthiest vamps in the city. But working with Visage and living with one of its senior members proves to be almost more than she can handle. As secrets slowly reveal themselves, she needs to make a choice between her new life and her old. But did she ever really have a choice to begin with?Becks. Rooftop. <- Unforgettable scene and one of my favorites! That one and the one in The Vault! Holy Hotness that man, er I mean vampire has been in every single one of my fantasies since I finished this book! I love Beckham and Reyna, their chemistry and irritating banter drove me crazy but also endeared them to me even more. This was a predictable paranormal romance with some unpredictable twists. Yep I'm very clear on what happens right?! Haha! Let's just say that I thought I had what was going on straight and I was part right and part very very wrong and I loved that! K.A. Linde was a brand new author for me but after reading this I am anxious to get my hands on more of her words, specifically Blood Match because anyone who knows me knows patience is not my strong suit!! 4.5 Stars. Omg what a cliffhanger! I knew that there had to be something special about Reyna’s blood type especially when several vampires had mentioned that her blood smelled sweet. The fact that Beck never mentioned it or never took her vein should have clued me in that Reyna’s blood type would be different. I am so shocked that she is Rh null and the perfect match for Mr Harrington. I don’t think I can wait until the summer to find out what is going to happen next and what is going to happen 4.5 Stars. Beckham sure knows how to make a girl feel special, “I won’t have anyone threatening you. You are very valuable.” Beckham's lady sure knows how to drive him bonkers, "his eyes crawled her body again, and she noticed a slight tremor in his hand. “I need a drink,” he said." I liked this book, a I'm eager for the next one in this series, a I'm dying to know what's going to happen.

The synopsis interested me when I was out on Netgalley, but I never in my dreams imagined the book I got!! I saw vampires and ever since the obsession a few years back it's hard to find a good vampire book now. This one is a blend of the paranormal vampire lore we all love and the sexy billionaire powerful man romance that we all covet. You could not have asked for better. The author creates a world where vampires seem to rule it, as they have all the power. Picture a post-1929 Stock Market crash world but in modern times. Their economy dropped and only humans with actual prestige and education seem to be making a life. A college education will get one noticed for a job in this world. But to get that degree one needs money, therefore a job... See the cycle? The unlucky humans (and there's a lot of them) are stuck in the slums. Those like Little One Reyna Carpenter turn to being a blood escort through the vampire company that is trying to create a balance between hungry vampires and poor humans, also ensuring no vamps turn into monsters, if they have a correct blood type to drink from. But she's of course a special blood type, a O negative, so she's placed into a program and given to a specific powerful vampire to be his forever.I liked Reyna but I didn't love her. I did love her motives for all this--she turned to this life to provide for her brothers in the harsh world so they don't have to work as much. She puts up with a lot through the book, with the life and with Beckham, and she's strong for it. The amount of angst and heartbreak she experiences with him is admirable. There were times her dialogue wasn't fully there, or was a little annoying that I did not like. I mean, I still rate the book 5 stars, so I guess it wasn't that bad. Definitely did not overshadow my feelings for the rest of the book. Although I flip flopped on my feelings about her, I was so frustrated at the end of the book when she and him finally have sex and he finally bites her. He took a sip and backed off knowing his own control. She is the one who insisted on continuing and then freaks out when he doesn't stop because he is "killing" her, and then runs away. Ugh! Just stop being like that. You agreed to this--be understanding of what is occurring. He lost control. If you don't want that, then I don't know...listen to him when he insists to stop drinking.Beckham on the other hand I loved. I didn't at first; he was a jerk, but it did fit his character: strong, resilient, powerful, etc. One of the thrills of the novel was being able to unwrap his character more and more. There's so much underneath him. So if you read this and are thinking that 's a boring, mundane, typical powerful male protagonist...think again. He's deeper than that. While he acted like he hated her at first and didn't want her there, I loved watching her break down his walls bit by bit to the point that he wanted to be protective of her, more than just because she cost him a lot; and wanted to care for her, despite all the warning signs. What I liked about their romance that it was nearly non-existent till the end. There were moments, and there was attraction for sure, but no feelings were spoken, no truths admitted, until the end. So in their situations, their feelings built bit by bit and it was wonderful to witness. I didn't like the barrier in their romance of course: Penelope. Omg I hated her so much. It was sad though, because there were times that Beckham really did care about her so I hated reading that. Or in the sex club when Reyna and Beckham had their moment, and the next second he is biting Penelope. Did he really have to be that heartless to Reyna? The synopsis leaves it at being a vampire romance but there is actually quite a lot of dystopia and politics here. I was surprised when I read the book, but happy about it too. Under the guise of vampire and human trying to make it work, we're introduced to the human and vampire underground systems, the corruption of the governments, and ELLE, the uprising against all of this. The ending took me by surprise twice. First with the truth about Beckham and Penelope and everything in Beckham's life. I was surprised by aspects for sure, but the main thing I guessed earlier on. It explains a lot of how he was acting in general and toward her. And then second when we learn about Emmett and Reyna...just after she was ready to forgive and go back to Beckham!! Again, I wish I saw this sooner but it makes so much sense and I am so thrilled with the author that she added the final twist. Her blood smelling extra amazing to Beckham and all the other vampires I was passing off as a Twilight cliche the author was using. I wasn't a fan of this aspect but that's what I assumed. So for this twist to be tossed in right at the end--both surprises actually--brought my review from a 4 to 5 star.I loved this book so much. I couldn't put it down. Cheering for Beckham and Reyna eclipsed my day, but then also feeling and worrying for her. I hope Netgalley carries the next two because I don't think I can wait all the way until release day for these books. I need to know what happens next!!!Thank you to Netgalley again and I can't wait to see where Reyna and Beckham take us next.

So NOW, I am going to say to this friend...OMG, get to reading Blood Type by K.A. Linde because I am hooked.  I have been a K.A. I love K.A. Linde's books and always get lost in her books, but unfortunately I just had no feelings for this one. I loved the idea behind it, but I hated the main female character. There was no connection whatsoever and I found her to be a bit childish at times. It ruined the book for me to be honest. Makes me sad because I love Vampire novels and like I said, this one has a great plot, but I just could not find one thing to like about Reyna.

Paranormal reads are my favorite type of books so when I read the blurb to this book I knew I had to read it. I went into this story with an open mind and no expectations. I did not want to compare this book to other paranormal books and I'm glad I didn't because there is no other book quite like this one. I have to be honest though. This story started off slow, but I'm glad I stuck with it because it definitely picked up. The suspense within this story was EVERYTHING! This story started off slow, but I'm glad I stuck with it because it definitely picked up. The suspense within this story was EVERYTHING! I absolutely loved the back and forth banter between Reyna and Beckham. I had quite a few laughs at their antics and at the same time I wanted to slap some sense into both of them. This story had so many twists and turns and the end of it left me speechless. Characters I thought were trustworthy became enemies and enemies became friends. This story ended with a HUGE cliffhanger and I can't wait to read what happens next. I wasn't ready for it to end but I definitely look forward to reading the next book in this series. I recommend this book to all paranormal lovers, but just know that yes the story starts off slow but stick with it because it does get better and this is a story worth reading.

4.5 Gimmie the next book NOW Stars!!"All that was before her was Beckham. A predator luring his prey. And she was trapped. As thoroughly as a rabbit in a snare."OMG! Looks like I may have found my next paranormal fix! Blood Type was everything that I never knew I needed. It was sexy, seductive and completely alluring. Reyna and Beckham's story had me utterly captivated and furiously devouring the pages. I had so many questions and was desperate for all the answers.Full review to come!

This was well written, great concept with characters that I truly was interested in. It was an extremely even read that I wish was conveyed the dangers and sexual tension in an exciting way. This is a cliffhanger so maybe book 2 will convey things differently if not I will still read it since I really enjoyed the characters.I was given an arc for my honest opinion.

I received a copy of Blood Type by K.A. Linde from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.I was intrigued by the summary as I generally enjoy paranormal romances, and really wanted to like this novel, but the storyline could have been pulled together better and the characters better fleshed out (not so flat).
