Kim Reaper #2
Guiding souls to the afterlife doesn't always go smoothly, especially when SOMEONE (Becka!) interrupts the job. Now, Kim and Becka must contend with a very irate and very uncooperative customer. Unfortunately I didn't enjoy this second issue as much as I did the first one /: it felt a bit rushed and there were emotions the characters expressed that confused me.

Somewhere between 3 & 4 stars.Through no fault of Graley's, I don't think that comics are my thing. I read the first 3 volumes. I dig the art. The characters are quirky, flawed, alternative, & lovable. I didn't think as much of the villains. I know cats are a a big deal in certain scenes... but the big, macho, cat-obsessed, steroid-fueled baddie just didn't do it for me; I know it's supposed to be clever & upend the "cat lady" trope, which I suppose it was & did -- but I'm still Somewhere between 3 & 4 stars.Through no fault of Graley's, I don't think that comics are my thing. The premise (A college-aged female paying her way through school by reaping souls -- and, unintentionally, her classmate Becka's heart) is right up my alley. But all I kept thinking was, "I hate these tiny snippets. Is someone going to collect all of this & make a graphic novel or what?" For what it's worth, I hope someone does.

I forgot I had read the first issue of this, honestly. It got buried under a bunch of other unread stuff on Comixology, whoops. Anyway, this remains cute and interesting, and I'm quite intrigued about where it's going. Our girls have had a bit of a fight. Hopefully they make up soon.

Reaping and poking around on haunted ships is problematic for a first date. Will Kim ever reap that cat's soul?

More cats and reaping and some portal travel. The relationship between Kim and Becka is a bit clunky at times but this is overall really adorable

They like each other! They had their first argument! Ghouls! Yay!
