Puck Aholic (Bad Motherpuckers, #3)
I hate my new roommate. And I want to do dirty, delicious things to her in that swing she installed that we both know has nothing to do with aerial yoga. Neither of which is good, considering Diana Daniels is my NHL team captain’s little sister, and he will break my face if I’m not a perfect gentleman.I try to be. Really, I do. But when Diana runs screaming down the hall wearing nothing but a damp washcloth, all my gentlemanly intentions go out the window. She’s got all sorts of Jedi mind tricks to make a man obsessed with getting her into bed, and I’m not gonna lie—I fall for every single one of them. Especially the one where she warns me not to fall for her.***Everyone knows that banging your new roomie is a bad idea. And if it wasn’t for his sister’s stupid pet pig, Wanda, chasing me out of the bathroom mid-shower, Tanner Nowicki and I might still be able to pretend we hate each other. But that pig totally has it out for me, and before I can warn Tanner that I don’t do relationships—or hockey players or my brother’s friends, for that matter—he’s doing me. Against the wall. And in his bed. And in my bed. And on a pinball machine where we get an all time high score. And it’s so incredible that I start to forget that I’m the unluckiest woman alive when it comes to relationships. And pigs. And aerial yoga. And worst of all, love. But hey, it’s not like I didn’t warn him…

This whole series seriously just seems to get better and better.Well worth reading, just bring a fan to cool yourself down with.

I have to admit, there were a few times throughout the book that I wasn't so sure that I really liked Diana. I love her quirks, but just some of the ways that she treated Tanner were a little off-putting for me. She is definitely one of a kind, which I appreciate and I was really happy that she was able to help Nowicki with some of his issues. Now, I am really looking forward to Petrov and Mandy's story and the issues they will have to face, especially since he has had such a disastrous outcome in his last relationship. Ms. Valente writes such strong characters that you either love them or hate them or grow to love them and they feel like family. You definitely don't want to miss this one!Favorite quote:"Bad ideas that involve climbing Muscle Boy like a jungle gym and taking advantage of my new aerial-yoga-acquired flexibility to see how many ways we can get tangled up in each other before we collapse from exhaustion."**Honest review voluntarily provided from a Complimentary Copy**

➦Lili Valente has become one of my fave romcom authors and I can pretty much count on having a good laugh while reading her books. I have to say that I enjoyed it but I didn't really connect with the characters all the way, especially the hero. I really wanted him to be more developed. There wasn't much "justifiable" angst either and I kind of sort of got a little bit bored there by the end. Still liked it, though! But you know me,

A sweet and sexy 5 star read:)Another great story with lovable characters! It's getting harder and harder to write original reviews of Lili Valente's books without repeating how much I love her writing style and characters. But how is he supposed to resist her when he finds out she's his new roommate?Diana Daniels wants nothing to do with men. After the terrible luck she's had with men she's not interested in anything other than a quick fling. So what if her new roommate is a gorgeous, well-built, and incredibly sweet guy. No one can be as good as they seem, right? When Tanner starts to develop real feelings for Diana he knows it's time to talk to her big brother but what he doesn't expect is for Diana to run from the relationship that they've started to build.

Prepare to swoon. SWOON, in all capitals, because Tanner deserves his name written in the sky. Diana is hilarious, and one tough, yet vulnerable, cookie, but Tanner is the true hero of this story. Wanda could win a supporting Oscar, and Petrov...well, I can't wait for his book! Can you tell I loved this book? Good, go and read it!

It has so much heart, humor, great pets, and even better nicknames. One of Lili's finest which is saying alot!!!!!I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

I love all of her books, but this hockey series is top notch! We've met Tanner before. He has a hilarious phobia that I'm still laughing about. He's also sexy, gentle, kind, funny, romantic, muscle-y, dirty mouthed and swoonworthy. In a nutshell, he's my favorite character of 2017 who I wish were real. He's the perfect specimen. He's not a jerk. He's not a douche and he's not a player. He's perfection. He's paired with the hilarious, quirky, hot mess, Diana(Brendan's sister). She's new to town and she's had very bad luck with men. She's wildly attracted to her sexy, hockey playing roommate, but acting on it is a big mistake. But, the more she gets to know him and sees that he's really a genuinely nice guy, her defenses are blown. She needs to climb him like a tree. Be up against every surface in their house and be under him at every chance she can get. Can Diana get out of her own way and trust that Tanner is real? Will Tanner let the best thing that's ever happened to him get away? I loved this story! I laughed, teared up, got hot and bothered and laughed some more. I can't get enough of this series or these characters. Bring on Petrov!"So the pig is in love with you? Is that what you're saying?""The ladies love me, Diana. It's my cross to bear.""This is sex, Tanner. Magical unicorn-penis sex, and that's it." His dimples pop, and I laugh. I can't help it. "You look so proud of yourself.""Well, it's not every day a guy learns he's got a magical unicorn penis."I want her tight against me, her breath in my mouth, her heartbeat echoing in my chest, her skin hot against mine. I want her time and attention, her laughter and tears, her smartass jokes and thoughtful touches and way of saying my name like she's got a secret and can't wait to share it with me.

Puck Aholic is the third book in the Bad Motherpucker series by the very talented Lili Valente. Each book in the series can be read as standalone but there is a connection. A hockey team. He had a great year but he needs to keep his focus if he wants to stay on the team. And that means no Summer flings. No commitments. It's been months since he has had anyone in his bed so he can do this. No problem. He isn't a one-night stand kinda guy anyway. He is a relationship guy. Then she shows up. A Beach Pixie that turns his life upside down with a kiss. She saved his life on the beach that night and now she is his new roomie. She also happens to be his team Captain's sister. This has complicated all over it. He should have told her no but he couldn't. He thought he could do this. Stay away from her. She is off-limits. She drives him insane. She doesn't want more than a fuck. It should be easy to keep his distance, right? Wrong. So very wrong. She knew it. Diana knew it when she saw him again. He seemed nice enough on the beach. Hot enough for sure. But that was all it could ever be. She swore off relationships when one after the other turned disastrous. Her luck in love was a bust. She thought she found the one but he was gone. And she was starting over. And now she was living with the man that heated her up while pissing her off. A pig that was jealous of her. And no job. She can do this. She can totally stay away from her hot roommate. Especially when she finds out he is not a friends with benefits type of guy. Who doesn't do that anyway? A good guy that she can't risk having. Tanner and Diana's story is a roommates to lovers romance but it is different than others I have read. It's refreshing that Tanner is not a manwhore but a relationship guy. I do love a good manwhore, don't get me wrong. Ha. Anyway, the story is hilarious, sexy, and so much fun!! Tanner is swoon-worthy, dedicated, sweet, and one amazing dirty talker. Diana is all-round kick ass. She is independent, fun, and sexy. Together, they are crazy beautiful. Overall...if you want a fun and sexy read then this book is for you! I love this series and it was great catching up with the previous characters and to get to know the ones that will be in the next book! Quotes: “Consider me cake, and you’re on a diet.” “Cake,” I echo, scowling into her golden-brown eyes. “And I’ll consider you the same.”He’s a work of art, a thing of beauty I would feel compelled to photograph immediately if I weren’t so desperate to touch him, taste him, and feel his skin hot and hungry against mine.“I think we’re going to get a high score,” I gasp against Tanner’s lips.

Guys, it took me WAY longer than I liked to open Puck Aholic (because life and adulting are the WORST), but once I started, I practically read it straight through. Without stopping. Because it was THAT good. With her signature style, Ms. Valente has crafted a book that is the best blend of humor, heat and heart, filled with swoony men and sassy girls, and topped off with a romance that makes you wanna fall in love all over again. It’s smart and feel good. It makes sense to your brain, sends your heart into overdrive and leaves your lips molded into a smile that won’t quit. Have I sold you on it yet? How about this—these characters are just so damn likable. All of them. I’ll admit that I worried at first I wouldn’t like Diana, but then… ah, I couldn’t NOT love her. She’s strong, but still vulnerable. She’s the dominant pig (and don’t even get me started on how much I love Wanda), and so hopelessly unsure about love I wanted to wrap her up in a hug—while knocking some sense into her. Because Tanner. TANNER. *Longing sigh* Have I mentioned that I love him? That I’m a basically a Tanner Aholic? Though, with how much I love the other men and women in this series, maybe I’m a simply Bad Motherpucker Aholic... and a Lili Valente Aholic, too. I don’t want her at arm’s length. The Heroine, Diana Daniels, starts out a little difficult for me to warm up to but she straightens up quickly. She has the worst dating track record with only one decent guy who loved her and she screwed it up. Diana believes her ex was her one true love and she's straight up out of luck now. But the longer she hangs around Tanner the more she sees that perhaps all men aren't jerks, douches, and losers. As usual Lili Valente does not disappoint and her Bad Motherpucker series is flawless. "Puck Aholic" gives the reader more ice time with the Badgers hockey team and more players. We meet a lovely Russian teammate, Petrov. He dispenses cynical love advice and serves as Tanner's best friend. Diana has a phone-phobic friend who is an out-of-towner but moves to town before the book ends. I can't forget to mention Wanda the pet pig. She actually belongs to Tanner's sister who's in the military and based overseas. Wanda has mood swings and can be rather ornery. Lili Valente utilizes an epistolary technique in "Puck Aholic" with Skype conversations, phone calls, and texting. This book is a whole lot of fun, extremely sexy, and moving as well. I CANNOT wait for Petrov's book coming up next. A night of no names and innocent hook-up leads to Tanner and Diana thinking about their nameless hook-up. So when Tanner opens the door to welcome his new roommate, to his surprise it's his no name hook-up from the night before. Since Diana is a BIG NO NO, Tanner tries everything in his power to keep it on a friend's level, but it is so hard. Diana doesn't like Tanner at first, thinks he has the worst attitude. But as time passes and they each help the other get over their fears, Diana and Tanner give into their desires and see each other for who they really are. What will happen when Diana's brother finds out about them?Lili Valente never disappoints and Puck Aholic was one off her top notches. Great read and I highly recommend it!

Puck Aholic is the third book in the Bad Motherpuckers series with each book reading as a standalone. The series is about a hockey team, meaning a lot of connections throughout the books (friends, family, etc.) This is Tanner (rookie) and Diana's (Brendan's sister/player) story. Tanner has just finished up his rookie year and decides he needs to keep his focus by having zero summer flings. He's not an one-night-stand kind of guy so he can totally do this. Then Diana comes strolling into the scene, saves his life on a beach and is his new roommate. As if that isn't complicated enough, she happens to be his team captain's sister! Complicated isn't even the word for it now. Diana has sworn off relationships since every one that she has been in has ended in disaster. She thinks it's going to be easy but then her roommate ends up being the guy who pisses her off and turns her off at the same time. She thinks maybe they can have a hook-up and things will be okay until she discovers that he isn't the friends-with-benefits type. I think the funniest part of the book to me is the fact that Tanner has a pig and said pig doesn't like Diana. I love that it was included in the story and it gave me plenty of giggles. This is a fantastic roommates to lover story that has a different feel to it with Tanner being a relationship guy and not a manwhore. Lili Valente doesn't disappoint! I honestly don't think she could no matter how hard she tries. Puck Aholic is another must read!

I freaking adored these two and this highly amusing book, it was laugh out loud funny. Diana aka sexy beach pixie and Tanner aka muscle boy were so much fun. She's a charmingly witty & quirky free spirit that just goes with it and pretty much says what comes to her mind. The next day her gets his new roommate, which happens to be his team captains little sister aka sexy beach pixie. You can imagine the sexual tension between these two as roommates....there's a shit ton of it *winks*. There are some practical joke antics and with all her books in this series, the text conversations and phone messages are freaking priceless....honestly, so damn funny. Think "magical unicorn penis"...,yes that phrase was used, so damn funny. This book was a safe read, which I appreciated. Very little om drama, which Diana nips in the bud. There was some pushing away, for maybe a couple of days, followed up by some great groveling by Diana. We get to their quickie wedding, their much later honeymoon, where they're trying to make babies....loved it all. My favorite book of the series.

Puck Aholic – Bad Motherpuckers # 3 by Lili Valente – 5 pucking good starsThis is the third book in the Bad Motherpuckers series and can be read as a stand-alone. She is a self-described “walking talking, disaster-inclined proof of Murphy’s law (who) learned to roll with the punches and get back on my feet without wasting time and feeling sorry for myself.” Diana and Tanner meet one night while she is trying to save him from killer mermaids. This story is my favorite so far. It’s full of humor, heart, sexy times and a pet pig named Wanda. “She isn’t a fan of other women. But once she understands that you and I are just friends, she should settle down… The ladies love me, Diana. It’s my cross to bear”.I highly recommend this entire series.

Wow! Just Wow! Just when I think Lili Valente can't possibly top her last hero, she does it! Not that I don't fall for all her swoony heroes, but Tanner is the sweetest, sexiest, most caring man and I just can't get enough of him. Even though he is young, he wants a relationship, not a hookup. He has the hots for his teammate's sister which of course is taboo but he is willing to take a chance. This is a super fun and sexy story that I for one could not put down, so i didn't and finished at like 2:30 a.m. I adore Tanner and Diana and they are just perfect together from the moment they meet on the beach where he deems her his Beach Pixie and she deems him her Muscle Boy! This book has everything; steamy sexy times that will make you swoon and fan yourself, funny moments that will make you laugh out loud and poignant moments that will make your heart happy. Throw in a pig called Wanda, some killer mermaids and a magical unicorn and you have yourself a heck of a sweet and fun story!!!5 plus Motherpuckin' stars!!!Lili you are the Goddess of the Rom Com!!

Honestly, I cannot believe I'm enjoying a series called "Bad Motherpuckers" as much as I am but apparently it's happening so I'll roll with it. And I really liked this one - writing (usually) flowed easily (except texting bits, like WHO TEXTS LIKE THIS, WHO WRITES FREAKING NOVELLAS IN THEIR TEXTS!), characters were likeable and more than that, they weren't the usual type you get in sport romance. Diana was just a (slightly crazy) delight and Tanner was a genuinely nice guy (although not perfect) Honestly, I cannot believe I'm enjoying a series called "Bad Motherpuckers" as much as I am but apparently it's happening so I'll roll with it. And I really liked that he wasn't the usual overly cocky alpha fucks-everything-in-his-vicinity male as it's usually the way athletes are written in sports romance. AAAND, he didn't wait forever with telling Brendan that he's in a relationship with his sister. As soon as he knew it was serious, he was upfront about it, acting like an *gasp!* adult. Not sure I'm going to pick the next one in this series, simply because pregnancy SL's are not my jam but I totally rec this series if you're looking for a nice relaxing read to put you in a good mood.

Diana is annoying😐I really liked book 1&2, this one was ok. Tanner was so sweet and nice, and Diana was straight up annoying! I didn't find myself laughing much at all. I was too busy wondering what the heck is wrong with this girl. So she's had loser boyfriends, all the more reason to see the unicorn in front of you. Her most annoying trait was lumping all men in one category and thinking love is just bad. I know this plot works in other books, but not this one. If you read book 2, then you know the back story of her brother and losing his wife and finding love again. Seeing what her brother went through should've taught her not to be so darn cynical, but the author wrote Diana's views to seem like she's never even seen real love work before...I almost didn't finish this book and found myself quickly reading the last 25% just to hurry and get it done. Tanner is the reason it gets 3 stars.
