While Saitama is barely seen in this volume, Suiryu takes the spotlight in some of the most one-sided (favoring the bad guys) volumes of One-Punch Man I have ever read. The Monster Association gets fleshed out more here and it is starting to become a formidable threat to the Hero Association (So please ONE, no more Garo!).

DUDE. This was perfect. I felt the overwhelming despair the first two chapters, and then Saitama finally comes in and just :’) he made me laugh and made me feel everything was gonna be okay. And just how Seiryu literally broke down after seeing him all confident earlier was just so dramatic and had the perfect affect for the story. Really well-done. Superheroes v.s supervillains! And a massive attack against all the superheroes, game on!The sense of humor is still great and I'm very curious to know how this huge crisis of supervillains turning heroes into monsters will end!

Yikes, despite putting up a good fight Suiryu got wrecked and humiliated. R.I.P. to the one million dollar smile and that cocky attitude.

I’m loving this arc. Still plenty of laughs, still plenty of great action, but a little more of that heart that’s been missing.

Entirely focused on the dichotomy of heroes and villains, this volume's saving grace is found in the ending. He actually loses face here and truly becomes non-charismatic. It was still nice to see him fight till the end, but hope was nowhere to be seen for him.The great thing about this volume is that the Monster Association got a lot of spotlight here and teases the arrival of the Monster King. I do wonder how Garou's story arc will be intertwined into all this.Yours truly,Lashaan | Blogger and Book ReviewerOfficial blog: http://bookidote.wordpress.com

Ini keren. Beneran keren.Seru. Lucu. Menegangkan. Semua campur jadi satu. Ah, ending-nya bikin senyum-senyum sendiri. Lagi-lagi ada tambahan pengagum (dan murid) Saitama. Sanagat menarik untuk dicari tahu.

This volume primarily deals withe Martial Arts competition aftermath and plans of the Monster Association while heroes are busy all over the various city districts trying to minimize the damage created by a unified monster assault. Still like the other volumes of this series it is a pretty book (especially compared to the original artwork of OPM) with interesting characters who could easily be one sided but still have room to grow as the world that has to erupted into chaos. Only time will tell if the heroes will ultimately win. With Saitama on the run from arena security after his disguise had been blown the arrival of impressive monster Goketsu spells doom for humanity and hope for martial artists that agree to its terms. Once a champion of the very competition it now invaded Goketsu offers the competitors a chance to throw away their humanity and become monsters by eating monster cells. With the alternative meaning death some jump at the chance and some watch in shock while others try to stand against the imposing figures now adding to the danger as monsterization begins in some of the competitors. Suiryu in particular (who fought Saitama in the final round of the completion before Saitama was disqualified for falsifying his appearance) is enjoying the thrill of a challenge against new, more powerful opponents but strength is limited and having already recently fought in the competition he has to endure until help can come. My fave part of the book would have to be Bakuzan (now a monster) recognizing Saitama who easily defeated him in the competition knocking hi around with powerful strikes while Saitama casually checks to see if the human competitors are alive and trying to remember Bakuzan to no avail. Sometimes it is hard to remember your opponent when they offer you no challenge. :)

4 out of 5 starsSuiryu may be strong, but he got wrecked by the end of this volume. Which just made Saitama's eventual reappearance, and destruction of the monsters that much better, and funnier. Soooooooo, Saitama's like, barely in this volume at all--only in the last ten pages or so. All the rest of it is just buildup to those parts. Which is...I dunno, okay-ish? The thing is, I just don't actually care at all about all the other characters (except for King, duh--although he's literally only in this for one page), so I felt like it was waaaaaaay too much time spent on random dudes fighting monsters who used to be other random dudes. One-Punch Man has always been, since the first released in 2015, entertaining when it comes to reading. Its over the top, funny and edgy in many ways. Still, in volume 14 its starting to show its age when it comes to plot and its getting too similar in each chapter itself. While I still love reading it, I don't know what to feel about it as I do have mix feelings now. Still, I really enjoy this volume, just wonder where its headed in the upcoming ones.

I wanted to like this volume and the end of it is actually pretty good...But the drawing is literally too dark for most of it for me to tell what's going on half the time until the end. They paired a dark skin character with an equally as dark background - maybe I got a bad volume and there should've been some more shading? I'm not sure, but the way it ended up it was impossible to read the first half of it.

The epic battles between heroes and monsters continue as the monster association recruits new members from the fighting tournament. I like this one because it shows a skeptic exactly why the world needs heroes, from the terror of imminent death and the despair when help isn't coming to the hope and relief when someone shows up to save the day. That ending though; Genos is going to have some competition.

Goketsu the monster warrior has broken into the martial arts tournament to offer heroes monster pills and a chance to join his ranks, and it may take more power than even Suiryu has to defeat him! ONE lets the action roll out in this entry to the "Onepunch Man" series. There may be a hero strong enough to win if he just gives up the disguise...

Things start to take off, a massive attack by the League of Monsters against the League of Superheroes. The ending of this book is potentially one of the most fitting and best i have seen so far in the entire series.

This is such a fun story overall. This particular volume shows a strong fighter coming to an epiphany about heroes. Want more Saitama, but this was good too.
