For Forester (For You, #2)
A Standalone New Adult Sports Romance in the For You series. Each book follows a new couple.TraceI'm Alabama's star wide receiver. I've got mad skills on and off the field, and it's no secret I'm heading into the draft after the upcoming season. But I'm home for the summer to make some cash before my senior year. Being back under my parents' roof isn't the ideal situation, but the moment I see Marin, the star of my adolescent fantasies, I know it's about to get interesting. She may not have noticed me back then, but I've got a feeling it's just a matter of time before she lets me turn those fantasies into reality.MarinThe last time I saw Trace Forester he was just a kid tearing up the neighborhood on his skateboard. That was when I was foolish enough to think I had the perfect husband and the perfect life. But now my life is in shambles and Trace is back, all grown up, hot as hell, and exuding major confidence. It would be so easy to fall for his good looks and undeniable charm. So easy to let him into my life. Too bad I learned the hard way that nothing worth having ever comes easy.

If you had a chance for your fantasies to become reality would you take it? Even if it was a challenge? If you have never read a book by J. Nathan you are missing out. This woman's words speak to me...I have been a fan of hers since she released her debut novel Until Alex back in 2014. I am just fascinated with her characters, the chemistry and banter of them just hooks you. Plus all her stories have depth and feel real! For Forester is another one to add to that list. Ummm the cover, I love it! If you had a chance for your fantasies to become reality would you take it? Even if it was a challenge? If you have never read a book by J. Nathan you are missing out. I am just fascinated with her characters, the chemistry and banter of them just hooks you. Plus all her stories have depth and feel real! For Forester is another one to add to that list. Ummm the cover, I love it! Marin has just witnessed some devastating events. The life she knew is not the life she's been living. With her life taking a new direction she needs to find her happiness again. When she spots Trace Forester, she can't believe he's the little neighborhood kid who rode around on his skateboard...he's not a little kid anymore, he's a hot blooded, drop dead gorgeous Man! Will he be the one to get her back to the fun Marin she use to be? Or will she decide to step away from his charm and keep her walls up? Trace Forester grew up. He's the starting wide receiver for Alabama and knows he's talented. Both on and off the field, he goes for what he wants. Confident, Charming, and not one to hold his words Trace sees what's in front of him...his future. When he unexpectedly bumps into Marin, he sets his sights on her. She's the girl of his dreams, the star of his fantasies growing up. Will she notice him now? Will he win her over with his charm and be the man that she needs?"I spent so many nights alone in my room thinking of you," he murmured against my skin. "What you'd feel like. What you'd taste like. What you'd sound like when I made you come." OMG I can't express how much I loved this story! Everything about it has me smiling and swooning. The chemistry between them is undeniable and so electric! HAWT!!! One thing that I really liked was the age difference, seriously a older woman, younger man...Finally! Ok, yes it's not that big of a age difference, but it was a nice change from other books. Another positive...CJ. This kid melted my heart right from the start. He loved his mom and was happy kid considering what was going on in his life. Trace and CJ together...love! Trace felt like an old soul at times and you could just feel the love he had for Marin and CJ. He wanted into their lives and wanted to take care of them. Marin was a character I could relate too. She went through some major changes and yet her character showed strength. She took the road that wasn't easy, but would do anything for those loved and cared about, even if her own happiness was pushed aside. Truthful words that J. Nathan shares about adult life, Love and Relationships are not easy. You have bumps in the road, but with determination you will achieve what you want. Happiness is what you make it to be..if you take that step. Trace is definitely a guy you will add to your book boyfriend list. If you don't read this book, you will be disappointed. J. Nathan is an easy 1-click author for me and I am eagerly awaiting for her next book! The only thing I want more is her books on audio!! 5 Bama Stars!! ARC received for honest review from Netgalley

Nathan had me turning page after page without being able to stop. Her writing flows smoothly with a fast pace feel but without it being rushed. For Forester has the perfect mix of sweet and sexy. Right on the heels of kicking her self-centered, cheating husband to the curve, Marin finds herself picking up the pieces of her broken life. Wanting to have a good male role model for her son, she asks her neighbor to spend some time playing catch with CJ and ends up swept off in Forester’s very grown up and too attractive for his own good confidence and charm. Age difference aside though, life is too complicated at the moment. Can there ever come a right time for them? Before finishing college and heading to the pro’s, Forester decides to spend the summer bartending in his hometown. Spending it at his parents’ place wasn’t his first choice but everything changes when he runs into the object of his teen-age dreams and she asks him to spend time with her son. He’d been too young and she was completely unavailable before, but there’s nothing stopping him now. “I’ve always seen you, Marin. All those years. And it’s just crazy to finally have you looking back and seeing me.” I’ve mentioned this before and I’ll say it again… diving into a book by one of your favorite authors without knowing much about it and trusting said author to give you a great story is an awesome experience and the trust paid off spectacularly. With excellent writing, character development and interesting plot, Marin and Forester’s story hit all the right spots for me. It made me smile, swoon, fan myself, bite my nails wondering what would happen and ultimately gave me a feel good with its absolutely sweet happy ending. There’s so much about Marin to like. She sacrificed so much to protect the people she loved most. She’s not only a great mom she’s a touch chick who is strong and brave enough to carry a whole lot of weight on her shoulders and still have the time and energy to continue with the career she had left on hold because of her douch canoe husband. Trace is sexy, thoughtful and absolutely swoon worthy. He is self-assured which made him seem older, his confidence was enticing. I really liked the time he and Marin spent together and the time Trace spent with CJ was melt your heart cute. I appreciated the fact that he knew what he wanted and didn’t easily give up. “I was nineteen. I was in my prime. I could have any girl I wanted. But the one I wanted was three houses away with a kid and a soon-to-be-ex-husband. Strange how things happened.” The age difference between them was irrelevant because the complemented each other perfectly and loved deeply. For Forester is book #2 in the For You series by J. Nathan. It is a standalone, contemporary sports romance. It’s action heartfelt and sexy and sweet. Told from two points of view. Reading For Finlay, I loved those characters so much and I definitely had a soft spot for Trace Forester so when I found out he was getting book, of course I jumped on it! As for the relationship aspect of this book, I sorry to be blunt but here it is: I feel like this is just a mask. A lot of pretty words, but no substance behind it. I don't understand how, why, or where this relationship even came from. Separated from her husband and son in tow, Marin meets Trace (again) and he pursues her. The only start to this relationship is how Trace goes on and on about how frowning up (she's ten years older than him), Marin used to be his fantasy. He's great with CJ, sure, and I won't say that she was in an emotional place and this is the only reason why, but it just felt like such an unlikely couple. I couldn't grasp what they could actually have in common or where it was all coming from. I felt zero chemistry or attraction from their 'budding' romance, just Marin's inner monologue about how they can't be together since he's a teenager and her friends telling her to go for it because he's hot. After finishing this book, that's honestly all I got from the beginning. I threw my hands up. “Oh, great. Now the neighbors are gonna see you sneaking out of my house.” “Nope. They’ll see me walking out the door in no particular rush. Because I know what I want. It’s you who needs to figure it out.” So sure it's cutesy and whatnot (though more cheesy as the story progresses), the first few weeks, but just as I didn't feel the beginning of the relationship, they were all of a sudden head over heels and I feel like I missed the entire thing. Then Trace goes back to college and (shocker), drama comes knocking from every corner. Overall it's a nice read for its escapism factor, but the originality and execution left room for improvement in my eyes. It just felt - my opinion - average, a been there, done that, sort of story. And trust me, I was more than a little upset by this considering how much I loved For Finlay. “I didn’t want you hurt.” “Do I look like I need protecting? Because from where I’m standing, all I need is you.” I will saw though that I liked the little twists and roadblocks that the author used to turn the plot around a bit. Show a different side of the characters, add some drama, ex husband stuff, etc. It was good, but so insanely frustrating at the same time. What happened to characters that speak to each other? An adult that can properly portray words to another adult? When did ignoring people become the new standard? This is the kind of stuff that aggravated me, ESPECIALLY with said drama going on. And no, I'm not talking whatsoever about the college student, I'm looking at the heroine. I don't even know how to really end this now. It was a fine read, but I think overall I'm just a bit disappointed. I had such a high bar after first book in this series, I expected that to continue but I guess from these last few paragraphs, you know how I actually feel about it. Always a sad day when this happens, but let's be honest, if the author decides to make another story in this series (Sabrina??) I'd still most definitely be wanting to read it. *An ARC was received in exchange for an honest review.

"How do you convey what it feels like to get something you've wanted for so long? This quote pretty much says enough about how this story goes. This is a story of a man's fantasy turned into a reality. But we all know, life never gives bliss without hardships. Or should I say hard kicks? This is a story of a man's fantasy turned into a reality. But we all know, life never gives bliss without hardships. Or should I say hard kicks? Trace Forester is a nineteen-year-old (nearly twenty) who knows he's got skills, not only as Alabama's star wide receiver. Even outside the field, he's got it. But when he came home for summer to make some cash before his senior year, it turned out, heading into the draft after the upcoming season isn't his only dream. He has another one that goes by the name Marin, the star of his adolescent fantasies. Seeing her again made him think about those fantasies again and turning them into reality. Because one thing about grown up Trace is, he's confident enough to chase for what he wants. And he wants Marin....But Marin comes with a lot of baggage. Her life is somehow going downhill, if not for her five-year-old adorable son, CJ who, by the way, stole my heart even before Trace and Marin did. Marin instantly acknowledge that Trace is a man now- a charming, confident (sometimes cocky), funny, hot-blooded, drop-dead gorgeous man. She just couldn't resist him and his fantasies. With Trace making his way into Marin's and CJ's lives, everything seems perfect, until it's not....And Marin is forced to make a selfless decision, even though it will hurt all the three of them. But as much as it hurt the characters, from there story just get better and better.I ended up liking this one, and mind you, this isn't actually the kind of genre I usually read. The age difference almost discouraged me, especially that the woman is the one who's older. After reading chapter one though, I know instantly, I wouldn't find any problem with the issue. In fact, this little issue is unbelievably what made the story, the romance, even more beautiful. Marin, even at her age, clearly needs Trace, in most ways. And Trace, being the younger one, never appeared as if he needs protecting. The love he'd shown to Marine and CJ was amazing. As a couple, Marin and Trace made it to my list of favorites. The attraction between them is undeniable and overwhelming in a good way. The exchange, banters and sexual interactions made me smile and sometimes laugh.…..or you could just do me and all would be right in the world. That's Trace talking to his fantasy. Overall, this is a very heartwarming story with a reminder. A story about going after one's fantasy and turning it into reality, despite the hardships along the way.“I’m thinking you can do whatever you set your mind to.”And this:“Thank you,” he said....."For making every one of my dreams come true.” “What about your fantasies?” I asked...... “Oh, babe,” he said before pressing his lips to mine. “The second you let me into your life, my fantasies came true.”I actually dived into this book knowing nothing which I seldom do. This is my fist read from J. Nathan, so I had no any expectation. Reading For Forester, in mere two hours, I can say, I wasn't disappointed. In fact, it left me satisfied which rarely happens when I read short novels as this. This one is highly recommended to everyone who's looking for a heartwarming, sexy, quick read. *I received an ARC of this book from the Author and Publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Obrigada

It was exactly what we needed and everything we love! Talk about swooooon! This book hit all the right spots and not one, but two sweet guys stole our hearts. One a sexy, sweet, confident wide receiver footy player, the other an adorably cute little 5 year old. Oh dear, the relationship between the big burly footballer and the funny, loving little CJ was the cherry on top of an already heart stealing, romantic read! This was our second read by J Nathan and again, she completely won us over with her wonderful engaging characters and beautifully sweet, funny, emotional and sexy story! For Forester, was a story about love, self-discovery, and most importantly about listening to your heart!‘I was nineteen. I was in my prime. I could have any girl I wanted. But the one I wanted was three houses away with a kid and a soon-to-be-ex-husband. Strange how things happened.'This book had so many elements we love in a story : single Mum, older woman/younger man, a heart melting child, a book boyfriend to die for, a genuine believable romance, a sports element where you really feel the sporting atmosphere, fun banter, searing chemistry and just enough drama to kick start your heart! Yep, For Forester was a winner on all counts; we can’t wipe this happy smile off our faces! We briefly met Trace Forester in For Finlay (For You #1 – a standalone) as he was Caden’s roommate and immediately after finishing that book we wanted Trace’s story! The cocky number #82 ‘Bama boy receiver really left his mark on us, so we’ve been counting the months to read this book! “I need you, Marin.”“I don’t want to need you.” Twenty nine year old Marin’s marriage has just fallen apart after finding out her dick of a husband has been cheating on her. Marin now has to face the prospect of starting again, being a single Mum to sweet little CJ, having given up her career to be the stay at home wife her husband wanted.Marin bumps into her neighbour Trace, who is home from college for the summer and who is no longer the teen she remembers causing havoc on his skateboard. Oh no, 19 year old Trace is very much a man…all rippling abs and biceps, but not only that, Trace has a sweet nature, together with a maturity that surpasses his age and the two fall into an easy friendship. “I’ve always seen you, Marin. All those years. And it’s just crazy to finally have you looking back and seeing me.” Wanting CJ to have a male influence in his life, and with Trace being a soon to be pro footballer, Marin asks Trace to spend time with CJ and impart his knowledge and be a male support for CJ. A job he’s more than happy to oblige with, because no one can resist that little 5 year old cherub, CJ. “I want to be the one who laughs when he tells a silly story about what happened at school. I want to be on the receiving end of his hugs because he gives the best hugs.” Well, as you can imagine, things progress between Marin and Trace. The banter between them was funny and sexy, the chemistry crackled! Little did Marin know that she had starred in many of Trace’s Trace’s teenage fantasies which were about to come true! “I spent so many nights alone in my room thinking of you,” he murmured against my skin. “What you’d feel like. What you’d taste like. What you’d sound like when I made you come.” J Nathan did a splendid job in making us believe, to feel the emotional, physical and mental compatibility between Trace and Marin with every beat of our hearts, and if you’re wanting a book to knock you off your feet with heat, sweetness, emotion, a book boyfriend to add to the shelf, and if you’re looking for some serious swooning… look no further, because this book is it! And it's just crazy to finally have you looking back and seeing me." I am literally HIGH on smiles right now. This was THE most perfect book to read in between heavier ones because there was zero angst, and smiles galore. OMG....I am officially in love with Trace Forester and have decided that maaaaaaybe I can handle this trope. HAHA! This was a little out of my comfort zone; but the way J Nathan told this story, and the emotions she brought forth, she made it easy to read this book and fall in love with Marin and Trace's love. What a fun, light but sexy, and altogether swoony love to read about too. Trace was a man wise beyond his years, but he had also met his one true love that brought him to his knees, and I love that he stayed true to himself. I smiled the ENTIRE time I was reading this book when these two were together. Whether it was laughing at Trace's so-very-NOT-shy and most definitely NOT humble comments, or when he was being extremely romantic and downright dirty with Marin; I was in love. No joke....I smiled the entire time.OMG....these two were so hot together. Their feelings were a force to be reckoned with, and I loved watching them fall for each other. Seriously.....ahhhh. I feel like I can exhale. Tee hee! I really loved this book. My smile is legit!! I am super sad that it read as fast as it did though. I could have kept reading their story!! sighWe had banter: checkWe had swoonage: checkWe had smiles: checkWe had laughs: checkWe had SEXy times: checkWe had sincerity: checkI seriously cannot be any happier right now....I am still smiling after reading this story. It really was just FUN and so good. Thinking about everything that was going on, one thing that stood out for me was that to some folks, this was so wrong, but to Trace and Marin, this was oh so right. And that dynamic, I found that I actually loved it. These two were so cognizant of what was going on and what others were thinking, but Trace didn't care AT ALL. I felt that Marin's feelings and insecurities were completely understandable and described really well, and that made her very relatable. I was frustrated a little with how manipulative one of the side characters was being because I hate seeing that happen. I have been in the position Marin was so deviously put in, so I could really empathize with her. I felt her pain and the false realization that her hands were tied. She was backed into a corner and she was made to feel that she had no way out, and that was hard to read. I felt terrible for her, but I will tell you what; the way all the characters came together in this story was incredible. It was a really good mix of characters with different dynamics, but that also made it a more well-rounded story for me; more believable. We all get a little help from our friends now and then, and that sense of community and friendship was well played throughout this book. I loved it!This is my second book by J Nathan, and if she keeps writing stories like this, I am going to have a very happy kindle. This is the SECOND book in this series, but can be read as a complete standalone -- absolutely no story crossover at all, besides the main characters in For Finlay. I can and will happily recommend this series, and now I need to catch up on her other series!! I am *SO* happy that I "found" J Nathan and read her. I cannot wait to read more. --> Oh, and if there were ever food related scenes that made me blush - woah, canned whip cream should make it on your grocery list because....holy hell, Trace is sexy AF!"I've had good sex. The attraction that sizzles between the two isn't just physical, it's a lot more than that.Marin is woman who is trying to get her life back on track after being betrayed by her husband. She's looking for a new start while raising her five-year- old son alone. She has an arrangement with Trace and his presence in her life causes conflicting feelings inside her. She feels an attraction toward Trace and it scares her as well as it heats up her skin. She can't help being drawn in by his good looks and great personality, but their age difference weighs on her most of all.Trace likes Marin and he wants to bring her out of her shell. He wants her to experience all that life have to offer, to let loose and live for herself. Trace wants Marin in so many ways. He loves being around her and CJ. He feels the natural chemistry between Marin and him. He loves making her laugh and their shared conversations.Trace always desired Marin for as long as he could remember. She was the woman that starred in all his boyhood fantasies. He never hoped he could have a shot with her. Marin is the only girl that he's ever wanted. He doesn't care about their age difference. He only wants her to take a chance on him, on them.I just loved the deep sensual love that Trace and Marin had for one another. I loved how much Marin loved Trace and her son, loved how much she sacrificed for them both, and how far she went to protect them. She was an incredible woman, mother, and lover. Trace was just as amazing in the same sense. He was dependable and honorable when it came to Marin and CJ, he loved them so much.J. Nathan does a wonderful job writing this book and readers you're going to love it as much as I have. It was really good and I couldn't put it down. I thought For Finlay was great, but For Forester is also an incredible read. I had to give it a five star rating ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐! I can't wait to read another one of J. Nathan's books. They are truly phenomenal.

“I need you, Marin.”“I don’t want to need you.” J Nathan did a splendid job in making us believe, to feel the emotional, physical and mental compatibility between Trace and Marin with every beat of our hearts, and if you’re wanting a book to knock you off your feet with heat, sweetness, emotion, a book boyfriend to add to the shelf, and if you’re looking for some serious swooning… look no further, because this book is it! From the very beginning I just hooked, maybe it was the way Ms. Nathan sets the story up, maybe it was that I loved the previous book and knew this one would be just as great, or maybe it was just that I had been craving a book just like this. I love sports romances that isn’t a secret, and behind hockey football is my favorite, add in a hot college football player and a heroine I immediately loved and I am one happy book whore. I got all of those things with For Forester.Trace is your typical college football player, or is he? He has fantasized about Marin since he was young. Trace is sexy, he is a bit cocky at times, he is funny, but most importantly of all he isn’t just there for Marin, but for her son as well. I loved the scenes with Trace and CJ, you could tell that both meant the world to each other and proves that DNA is not the only thing that can make you a father or father figure, just being a good man can and Trace was just that. Wish I could say the same for Trace’s mother, but well read it and you will understand why if the woman happened to step out in from of my moving car I wouldn’t be hitting my brakes, just saying.Marin was sweet; at times sassy, but most importantly she was not only a great mom to CJ but protected those she loved, even if it meant causing herself heartbreak. She really bloomed I guess you could say when she was with Trace, he brought out parts of her that she had forgotten about. She really balanced well with Trace, age difference aside which I must note I had no issues about, they made each other better. For Forester is a book I can easily say needs to be on the TBR lists of new adult romance fans, sports romance fan, or just anyone looking for a really good book because this is the book for you if you are. I loved For Forester and I can’t wait to see what J. Nathan has in store for us next.

They are new adult romances so there is some passion but it’s not all hot and naughty all the way through.Trace Forester is Alabama’s star receiver, he is loved where ever he goes, on and off the field the boy has talents. Women line up to become a notch on his bed post, and there has always been one that started It all, filling his teenage boy fantasy’s and when he comes home for the summer holidays to make some cash, his teen fantasy asks for his help with her boy he leaps at the chance to spend time with them, after all isn’t it every boys wet dream to bend his teen fantasy over the kitchen table, or anywhere in fact.Marin’s life has just imploded she has just found out that her perfect marriage was a sham, and now it’s time to put the life she had put on hold back to the fore front, starting over again and moving on, what she doesn’t expect is for the teenage boy she remembers to come back into her life as a full grown up hottie hunk, when her life seems to be falling apart and her son needs a male role model as her soon to be ex-husband isn’t up for the job, Trace seems like the perfect option. The problems arise when what starts as a simple flirtation turns into something more akin to a summer romance, but when a devilish divorce is brought into the situation as well as a significant age gap, that if reversed wouldn’t be a problem but if an older woman goes after a younger man, there is always gossip and when you are related to the towns biggest gossip it seems amiss that she wouldn’t want to be the centre of attention.

I really liked that he was the instigator, the driving force. Loved how he really put Marin and his feelings for her in the forefront—even as he was the star on the field. And Marin. Man, she really had to pull herself up by the bootstraps to get through that divorce. But I loved how she didn’t cower, didn’t back down when standing up for herself and her life. And I loved how she allowed herself to fall in love again. And I really loved Trace and Marin together. Super sweet. The how’s, why’s and what for’s. But get over it I did, because that damn Trace whittled his way under my skin just like he kinda forced himself into Marin’s life. ~ Missy, 4 stars

For Forester (For You Book 2) by J. Nathan is the second book in her For You series. When reading a book from a series, one of my favorite things is when you get to see what happens to the characters in previous books. This one is just one of those. I enjoy this author's way of creating a book that will pull you in from the first word and keep you engaged until the end. The characters in this book are just as sweet and enjoyable. They are true to life and pull you into their world. This story will make you realize that age doesn't always matter when it comes to love, its the hurdles that you jump through to be together that does. Find out what happens to these characters as they find something they just may not realize was missing from their lives. Trace is Alabama's star wide receiver who has moves on and off the field. He has come home for the summer to make some money before his senior year. Being back under his parents roof again isn't the best of situations but then when he sees her, he knows that something is about to change. She was his fantasy growing up and didn't see to know that he was there. Now when she sees him, he knows that she will know that he is there.Marin thought she had it all until she didn't. She remembers the boy riding on his skateboard around the neighborhood but that was when she had the perfect husband. Now that things have changed for her and he is back, all grown up, hot and sexy, she realizes that it would be easy for her to fall for him. It would be real easy to let him into her life but she has learned the hard way that nothing ever comes easy. Trace and Marin's relationship is one where she is hung up on her being older then he is. The one question that remains is, can she let go of the age issue to let herself be happy? He just wants to push forward with a relationship. Like so many relationships, they have struggles that need to be dealt with but are they tough enough to make it through them? He is charming, sweet, and sexy, he knows what he wants and how to get it. She isn't use to being first with anyone let alone a man. Will she let herself peruse a relationship with Trace? Is it possible that they could be happy? You will fall in love with these characters. They are sweet together and complement each other well. They are strong, independent and determined to be together but the questions still remains, will they get past their struggles in order to find their happiness? The secondary characters are just as great and a couple of them you meet in the first book. I can't wait to see if this author takes other characters and continues their journey as well. Find out what happens to Trace and Marin as they start a journey of love and just plain life together, will they ever find their HEA? You will have to read to find out but I know that I am pulling for them to be together. Will fate let them have a life together? This is my second book by J. Nathan and this is my favorite so far yet. I know what I am going to get from her and she doesn't let me down with the romance. J. lives on the east coast with her husband and their son. She is an avid reader of alpha males. The more unlikable they are in the beginning the better. She doesn't like the cliffhangers or someone dying at the end, she will mope around for days when this happens. Love triangles and negative people are the bane of her existence but her friends and family are the light. This is a fast paced story that will keep you engaged until the last page. You will lose track of time with this book. It will keep you wanting to turn page after page until the end and even after. I highly recommend this book as I know you will want to see what happens with these two. Will age keep them apart or will fate put other struggles in front of them that they just can't get past?

I absolutely loved this book and hope that she continues to write the stories of the minor characters in this universe. The plot of this book is such a refreshing one. Our main female character is not like most characters we get when reading New Adult novels. She is a newly single mother going through a really rough time. Trace enters the picture as a way to help Marin help her son adjust and get the male figure in his life that he needs. I loved the plot of how these two come together to help each other.Marin is such a strong woman. She goes through a huge life change, but holds it together for her son. I think she is one of the most admirable characters I have read in a long while. Even with the emotional scars she has, she is still willing to take a risk and open her heart to another. I think that is the true mark of strength. Not surviving through a hard time, but being willing to trust again after living through it. Trace is an amazing character on his own. Even though he is younger, he is much more mature than I expected. I loved his actions towards Marin and CJ. He is such a lovable character. While there are some very sweet moments in this book, the author also included some hot and sexy scenes. I didn’t expect such a tangible chemistry between these two characters. Even their minor flirting was so hot I expected it to combust at any moment. Once they finally take a step to the physical side of things, well let’s just say I think my phone melted! The writing style of this book is much like For Finlay. I actually really like the way the author writes. I feel she is able to transport readers into her world and make them feel things they didn’t realize they could feel from a book. This book is told from both characters point of view, which I love because I get to feel like I know more than the characters. It also upsets me at times because I find myself screaming (in my head of course) at the characters for not realizing how things really are. Even with that, I loved this book.Overall, this was one amazingly hot and sexy book. I cannot wait to read more from this author. I would recommend this book to others. I hope to see these two characters in other books she writes because I just have to know how they are doing in the future. Marian’s world as a 29 year old mom of 5 year old CJ, has been flipped upside down due to her cheating husband. Now, trying to settle her divorce, she is managing to put the pieces of her life back together, for the sake of her son. Trace Forester, has caught her eye, who’s back in town for the summer from college. Remembering when he was just a kid, has now grown up and is the wide receiver for the University of Alabama football team. She elects him to participate in CJ’s day to day events, playing sports, hanging out, etc. What she didn’t expect was the lingering feelings to creep up: when her heart beats wildly when he’s near, when she gazes onward to image Trace and CJ together as a family. But she can’t get over the fact that he’s only 19 years old, even though he’s at the tail end of his college career and looking at Pro. “I was starting to see what life with him could be like, and that scared the hell out of me.”Trace has always had his eyes set for Marian. His fantasies included her. Only her. His age however, seems to prove a problem, so how can he get passed her walls? When he does, what other obstacles will he have to hurdle through to prove he is the man for her as well as a role-model for CJ?! Sweet, All-American, brilliant sports romance that you won’t want to miss out on! My oh my, how my heart pitter-pattered for these two love birds and the obstacles they had to face! Between the douchebag of an ex and Forester’s mother, no end in sight, but love prevails and has no bounds. Forester is a new book boyfriend for me! Don’t let his age deter you, he is an old soul and wise beyond his years. Author did a superb job at Trace’s personality and having me/the reader fall in love with him. Poor Marian and her struggles. As a mother, I relate that she wants to do what is best for her son at all costs. But what will it cost her? Buy this book now!! For Forester is a standalone, but Finley and Caden, from For Finley (For You #1) makes many appearances throughout. There are not enough words to describe on how much I loved this book/ this series! I only hope J. Nathan continues with more of the Bama team! 6 Stars!

A sweet, sassy and humorous contemporary romance...I absolutely adore J. Nathan's writing. She has a way of putting life into perspective with her characters, who are anything but everyday sort of people. To this day I still cannot get Finlay and Caden out of my mind, For Finlay will forever remain in my heart and lucky me, my heart seems to be rather stretchy because For Forester has nestled itself right there alongside its predecessor. Just a little inkling as to how much I love the For You series... to this day I'm still listening to the For Finlay playlist and reminiscing on the story. This is feel good writing at its best. So, For Forester— I loved EVERYTHING about this story, but the older heroine/ MILF element was the icing AND cherry on the cake. It just had me smiling and weak at the knees all the way through. This book is definitely steamier than For Finlay, just a tad... little bit... their chemistry is just so freaking hot. HOT. H. A. F. Hawt. Trace and Marin's chemistry felt like it breathed life into me. I can't even begin to explain. However, what really got me was Trace and CJ's (Marin's son) bond. It was so endearing and it just took this story to a whole new level. Trace has a maturity that is way beyond his years and it really is highlighted by his love for this amazing kid. Marin is really easy to love, but lets face it— it's not just any guy that steps in and opens their heart to another man's child. But Trace, well, he doesn't just step in... he picks Marin and CJ up and carries them on his shoulders. Not that Marin is weak or struggling. No, she's a strong character in her own right. The dynamic of between the characters in this book is just so beautiful and natural and it just feels right. It feels easy, just like home. The plot of this book was so expertly developed, and although the circumstances and story surrounding some of the characters is uneasy and sad and just wrong, it was all so eloquently and skillfully written and developed that it made it easy to read. Too easy. I could've had more and not be satisfied. Seriously. Don't misunderstand me, this is a full length novel and the story is told to perfection, however,  I got so lost in it that when I got to the end I kept swiping at my screen hoping to have more.I have to give it to Ms. Nathan— she has knocked it right out of the park yet again with For Forester. Bravo. I cannot wait for more from the For You series. It is warm sunshine on a cloudy day. It has the ability to make it all ok.

Now he is back and she can’t help but notice he is grown up and also the confident way he carries himself. Trace is living under his parent’s roof for the summer. He is looking forward to heading into the draft and is making some cash for the summer. Things seem to look up when he sees Marin, the woman that he has always had fantasies about. He wants Marin to let him turn those fantasies into reality. Marin is not as sure about how their relationship would work with their age difference. What does the future hold for these two? Will their relationship last or will outside forces crush any chance of their being together? This is an amazing story of two people who find each other and have to overcome hurdles if they want to remain together. This story and characters will touch your heart and I couldn’t help but root for them to get their happy ending. Marin seems to worry a lot about the age difference between them. Trace is more concerned with pushing forward with their relationship. I really liked Trace as he is a man that means what he says and backs up his words with actions. He thinks of Marin in the things that he does and she finds this amazing as she is not used to being put first. Marin starts to allow herself to believe that there is a chance for both of them together. Then outside forces gather and seek to pull this couple apart. Will they succeed? Can Marin and Trace find a way to go forward with the relationship and the life that they want together? This is the second book in the For You series and I loved it just as much as the first. Each book is written around a couple with characters overlapping in each book. The author’s writing style is amazing and I found myself not able to put the book down until I had finished. I just had to know how it ends. This is a wonderful book to get lost in for the afternoon. This story does have adult situations which include steamy love scenes. It would be recommended for those 18 years of age or older.

This story was totally a swoon worthy read that will have readers on the edge of their seats as they experience all of the emotions within this beautifully captivating story. You get a little bit of anger, heartbreak and a whole lot of love. The instant chemistry between Trace and Marin was undeniable, especially to the people around these two. While others might not have agreed them being right for one another I knew right from the beginning that this story was going to be hot, hot, HOT! These two may seem like an unlikely pair, but they are totally meant for one another (even if the age difference might have a few people questioning their relationship). Oh and have I mentioned that we get to see Finlay and Caden from For Finlay, the first book in this standalone series. When I found out that Trace was getting his own story I was thrilled because I really liked getting to know him in the first book. I cannot wait to see what the author comes up with next, but I must say I am really hoping Samantha (Finlay's friend and roommate) gets the next story and her HEA!

Marin trying to do the right thing by all and Trace hanging on when he may have no choice but to let go, makes for a stellar romance that will steal the hearts of many readers. Trace and Marin certainly won my heart, and the cherry on top was that it was written by J. Nathan.J. Nathan is rapidly becoming one of my favourite authors. I just adore the style of writing, the flawless delivery of perfectly imperfect characters, and the endless chemistry and charisma that flows off every page. Readers will fall in love with each unique character and story. J. Nathan’s work just keeps getting better. For Forester is a dirty delight which will satisfy even the fussiest of readers. 5 stars for this decadent walk on the wild side.

A chance meeting with former skateboarding wild child, Trace Forester might be the answer to her prayers. What she doesn’t know is that the 19-year old, Trace has other plans. For years he has had two dreams, to play football professionally and to wake up in his neighbor Marin’s arms after a hard night of loving. Now that he is an adult and her jerk of an ex is no longer in the picture, it's game on – and he believes in winning…at all cost. Although this is the second in the For You series, I didn’t feel like I was missing out on anything. Ms. Nathan delivers the man of every woman’s dreams. Trace is sweet, romantic, attentive and hotter than Hades between the sheets. I was tempted to go find my own young, hot, and deliciously cocky cub! OMG, I have never been experienced such a satisfying read! Once I opened the first page, I couldn’t put it down. Between the pages of For Forester Ms. Nathan delivers everything that readers could ask for. There are wonderfully imperfect, highly relatable, multidimensional characters. You will also find interesting, well written, secondary characters that seamlessly draw you into craving more, eager to dive into the next installment. I found myself, laughing, crying, and sighing right along with the characters. At the same time, I was on the edge of their seat wondering what is going to happen next. Don’t worry, there is an HEA for both Marin and Trace. Beware, inside you will find some graphic, screen melting sex. You might need a cool drink and a fan to finish. This is one of those books, that quickly become your guilty pleasure. You’ll find yourself reading it over and over again just so you can re-experience their story and sigh in pleasure when it’s over.

Ms. Nathan has once again made theses characters pop. I read this book in one sitting. I just couldn't wait to see what was coming next. Trace Forester is home from college to make some money before his senior year. Trace is the star wide receiver for Alabama and hopes to be drafted in the NFL. He thought his summer was going to be boring, until he sees Marin, who was the object of his high school fantasies. Then while planning a surprise birthday party for her husband, she find out her life isn't so perfect after all, as she sees her husband having an affair. Now se is a 29 year old single parent going through a divorce. Marin sees Trace one day playing basketball outside. The last time she saw him he was a long haired gangly kid riding a skateboard. Now he is a young man who has filled out and very nice to look at. Trace is home for the summer and Marin has asked him to hang out with CJ once in awhile so he has a male figure in his life. As their relationship progresses, Marin has issues with their age difference and she has trust issues because of her soon to be ex-husband. He wants more than that, but can she give it to him?Wow, I have no words; this book was just as good as the first one. I could not put it down; it was a page turner for sure. The push and pull in the romance is heart catching, the age difference makes for a very interesting story. This is a need to be read romance and I would recommend it to everyone!

Changing perspectives, changing values, changing lives and the enduring unchanging love between a man and a woman. This is a bright and sexy story about love, lust and doing the right thing. J. Nathan is an amazing author whose characters reflect a depth and passion that drew me in and made me genuinely care about them and their story. For Forester is a great tale about unconventional love and how far we are willing to go and what we are willing to give up to protect the ones we love. J. Nathan writes with passion and conviction. Trace Forester is written with an amazing amount of maturity for a old and two years ago, I would have said this was a terribly unrealistic viewpoint for a nineteen year old and I would never have been able to believe this aspect of the story had I not unexpectedly experienced it with my own son. One day they are boys, the next they are men. So, Trace’s outlook and intelligence, combined with a nineteen year old’s sex drive made for an irresistible combination. Marin was written with all the compassion a woman whose world has been blown apart by a man can express. Marin has made the mistake of marrying a man much older than herself, but much less mature. In an interesting twist, we find out that Charles, Marin’s ex-husband is about ten years older than Marin, while Marin is about ten years older than Trace. And yet, Trace shows so much more maturity than Charles. It is also an interesting study on society's values. While it is perfectly okay for Charles to marry Marin, Marin and Trace having a relationship is frowned on. This problem and its resolution gives this book bite and interest. I was rooting for Trace and Marin and their love all the way through this book. Again, Five fabulous stars for For Forester!

I was captivated from the start until the very end and it’s definitely been added to my list of favourites. For Forester follows Marin and Trace Forester. Marin has played in all of Trace’s fantasies for years, she’s quite a few years older then him and he’s always wondered what it would be like to be with her. So when he runs into her on summer break he lays his charm on thick. She has a proposition for him; she would like him to spend time with her son while they deal with big life changes. He quickly accepts, going above and beyond what she expected. Trace steals her son’s heart along with hers with every passing day. While Trace is ready to take their relationship to the next level Marin is not, she’s holding back. She’s scared of what everyone will think of her and her actions. Will Trace have what it takes to win her over or will the fear of being judged be too much to bear?I can’t even describe how much I loved this book; it was everything I expected and more! Seriously this book gave me all the feels. Trace Forester is amazing, he’s sweet, caring, funny, charming, laidback, and incredibly mature. He’s the total package, I loved reading this story and I would highly recommend it!

When she runs into Trace Forester, the boybshe remembers skateboarding past her house when he was younger, she makes a deal with him to come spend time with her son doing all the boy things his dad will never do. The attraction is instant but she says he's too young, at only 19, and her in late 20's, but once they cross that line, she knows he's what her and her son have been needing. As Trace gets back to school, her ex throws stipulations down that shatter her world. Can they make this work when it seems everyone is against them or will threats cause them to stay apart?Trace has imagined being with Marin since her and her husband moved in down the street. When opportunity knocks, he takes it but it comes with an ulterior motive for him. What he doesn't expect is for her son to win him over so fast, and be rooting for Trace and Marin to work it out. When Trace goes back to school, the distance is very hard on both of them, but when added pressure from his mom, and the extra gossip she shares with him, he gets the nerve up to move on. After a big game, he meets the most helpful person he could to help the situation with Marin, but is it enough to make her see they belong together?I loved this story because it wasn't what I expected, it was so much more. She did have one particular bright spot that made her sacrifices worth it even if things didn't turn out the way she had dreamed. “I was still young and I wouldn’t let a screw up dictate how I lived the rest of my life. Written in first person, we see things from both characters POV as chapters alternate between their viewpoints. I already liked this authors work, but now I can safely say I am in love! Trace Forester is Alabama’s star wide receiver. He’s reading for the draft at the end of the season, knowing he’s got the skills and the charm to get him there. Home for the summer to make some cash before senior year, he finds himself face-to-face with the woman of his adolescent fantasies: Marin. The last time she saw him he was a kid riding up and down the street on his skateboard. Back then, she foolishly thought she was in a happy marriage and living the perfect life. Now a single-mum, she finds Trace a grown, crazy sexy and irresistible man. She could easily fall for him, let him into her life. But she knows nothing every comes easy and letting Trace in could risk everything she loves in the world. I’m not sure I can put into words how much I loved this book. For Forester was exactly the read I was hoping for when I picked it up. In fact, it was better. Everything about it was what I love from a romance. Added to this was a real believability, with Marin being a single-mother and struggling with serious issues like divorce and custody issues. I definitely don’t read enough books where the leading lady has a child, and this book has really wet my appetite for more. On top of a strong woman and adorable child, we’re treated to an irresistible male lead in Trace. How can any woman resist him?! I love his determination, confidence and honesty and this is so much fun to read. Seeing Marin’s reactions to him was brilliant, as I think I would probably react in a similar way! He is exactly the sort of person she needs and this made me even more desperate for them to be together. And trust me, they will take you on a wild ride! This book also has some serious drama, so be prepared. There were moments that made me shout at the book in anger; you will become so invested in these characters and their lives. I cannot wait to throw myself into more of the author’s work and I really cannot recommend this book enough. Sending lots of thanks and love the author’s way!

This book is part of a series but can be read as a standalone. After reading this book I can’t wait to see what else J. Nathan will bring to this series and what other great stories she will bring us.This book was such a brilliant read that I couldn’t put down. I loved reading about the two characters in this book they are captivating to read and I liked everything about them. I loved every minute of this book, it had some twist that you didn’t expect, and situations that our characters were put in that got you real mad. This book had me entranced, swooning, and I loved every minute of it. I loved the connection that developed between Trace & Marin, it was slow yet heated and you could tell they had a connection yet Marin was trying her hardest to resist. But I also loved the developing connection Trace had with CJ, it just made Trace even more perfect. No questions asked he took CJ into his life like he was always there and made sure he gave him someone to look up to.I loved the chemistry that these two characters had. During this book, they face some bumps along the way and some resistance from Marin, but their relationship was real, their connection was real and I think that is what both of them needed at that point in their life. I’m not all that big of a fan for sports, but the relationships in this book powered over the football talk, and even the little bit that was a part of it I enjoyed, as it came with the man that Trace was and what CJ looked up to.This book had me smiling & laughing on numerous occasions throughout the book with seeing their connection blossom and change, the great lines that Trace would come out with and with the great response Marin would have back. These two are defiantly an incredible couple as they each balance each other out, heal each other and have an undeniable connection inside and out. This book also has some great secondary characters that got their story told in Book 1 For Finlay but I’d also like to see a story with Marin best friend Gayle and also Sabrina, she gets mentioned a couple of times in this book but she never got to connect with Trace like they both wanted, it would be good to see her have a story of her own to tell. This book was written in Dual POV’S, we did get more of Marin POV through this book but I’m still glad that we got to see some of the more important scenes going on between Marin & Trace come from Trace’s POV as well. We really got to see another side of Trace through this as we got to see how her really felt rather than the confident guy that he always is around people.Trace was an incredible guy. He was confident but not cocky. He was charming, caring & considerate. When he knows what he wants he will do anything to go after it. I like that he wants to protect her and CJ but also expected and didn’t act all alpha when she protected him. He stands up for the people he cares about even if its facing off against his mother. He takes CJ into his life as though he is his own and does things to make CJ want to look up to him. He makes good decisions and goes after what he wants in life. Marin is one of the strongest women I have read. Seeing the events that unfold in the epilogue somehow, she managed to stay strong, and through this book life continues to throw things at her but she is their ready to face whatever comes her way. She is beautiful, loving, caring, considerate and protects those she loves. I love that she realises how much her life changed and how much she changed and now she will do anything to get her back to the women she was before, getting a job, going back to college. She will do everything she can to be the best she can be, she also learns to except that her feelings are real and she shouldn’t hide away from them or Trace. This is a beautiful eye-opening read, to show age doesn’t matter and that love can be found when you least expect it with someone incredible.

This story is also about an older woman/younger man and we watch as this unlikely relationship that blossoms between Marin and Trace. The attraction between these two isn’t just sizzles and fireworks it's a lot more than that way more.MarinHer life is in shambles and she is trying to get her life v back on track after she foolishly trusted her perfect husband and the perfect life she thought she had. Now she is left alone to raise her little boy. The last time she saw Trace Forester he was just a kid tearing up the neighborhood on his skateboard and now and Trace is back, all grown up, and hot as hell, and exuding major confidence. It would be so easy to fall for his good looks and undeniable charm. So easy to let him into my life. Too bad I learned the hard way that nothing worth having ever comes easy.TraceHe is Alabama's star wide receiver and he got mad skills on and off the field, and it's no secret he’s heading into the draft after the upcoming season. But he is home for the summer to make some cash before his senior year. Being back under his parents' roof isn't the ideal situation, but the moment he sees Marin, the star of his adolescent fantasies, he knows it's about to get interesting. She may not have noticed him back then, but he’s got a feeling it's just a matter of time before she lets him turn those fantasies into reality.I really enjoyed this read and look forward to more of Ms. Nathan’s work… By Tracy

She was married, and had a 5 year old son she adored. While planning a surprise birthday for her husband, it ended up being her surprise when she witnessed something she wasn't supposed to see. Now 3 months later, she's 29, going through a divorce, jobless, and has no idea what she is going to do with the rest of her life. While on her way home one day she runs into the neighbor boy that used to ride around the neighborhood on his skateboard. He was home from college and was definitely not a boy anymore. He was now a man that had Marin thinking things that she shouldn't have been thinking.Trace, college senior and leading wide receiver for Alabama was home for the summer, to make some extra money. His future was obvious, he was headed to the draft and would be playing for the NFL. While throwing around the basketball he runs into Marin, the neighbor, the star of all his teenage fantasies. When she offers him a proposition to hang out when he could with her 5 year old son, CJ, because his dad wasn't much of a dad, he jumped all over it.As the summer progresses he spends as much time as he can with CJ, and also as much time as he can with Marin. Just as he is breaking down her walls and reservations about their age difference he has to head back to school. While he is completely unaware that her life is about to fall apart and she is forced to make decisions that will affect all their futures. This book is full of so many emotions, and i felt every one of them. The story flow was flawless and the way she pulled me in through this whole book was amazing. It's a must read, I absolutely loved it!!

Instead of attending the party, she packs his things and changes the locks on the door. The only problem is their little boy CJ, who desperately needs a man in his life. Determined to find a way, she runs into Trace Forester, the grown-up neighbor boy. At nineteen years old, he is no longer the boy who spent a lot of time riding his bike and skateboard around the neighborhood. Now, he is a college football star, Alabama’s wide receiver. He is also waiting to find out if he can go pro. Though CJ and Trace start hanging out over the summer, Marin soon becomes included as they find themselves spending quite a bit of time together. Marin can’t fight her attraction, no matter how hard she tries, while Trace is excited to see the girl of his dreams give him the attention that he has always wanted. Marin struggles with their age difference plus her soon-to-be-ex-husband is doing everything he can to keep the two of them apart. Then, Trace has to go back to school in a month. I couldn’t put Nathan’s book down. I really couldn’t wait to figure out if Marin was going to tell Trace about the trouble they have been having with her ex. I was really hoping that their new little family was going to work out. However, distance (and exes) often complicate a relationship really quick. Another great page turner from J. Nathan!

Marin is a newly single mom of five year old CJ, her life has been turned upside down. Her husband cheated on her and now she's trying to starting to get accustom to her new life as a single mom and newly divorced woman. She's trying really hard to put her life back together and Trace Forester comes back into town and she remembers him from when he was a kid, but he isn't a kid anymore. He's grown up, and grown up to be absolutely gorgeous. Trace starts to help out with CJ, taking him to different events, playing sports and some other things. She never thought she'd start to have feelings for him, she never excepted her heart to race around him especially knowing that he's so much younger than her, and he has so much going for him. He's almost done playing college football and he's looking at going pro. Can Marin tell Trace how she's feeling? Will she ever let Trace decide for himself what he wants? Trace Forester is HOT, he's the all american football college star, and he's home for the summer. When he sees Marin he remembers all about the dirty fantasies he use to have of her. He knows she has an issue with his age but to him it's only a number. Now she's got CJ and he's trying to show CJ what a good role model should do and be like, he's seeing more of Marin, and he loves it. Will he push Marin to see him and not just his age? This book was SO flipping good! Honestly I can't get enough of this series and these characters. I can't wait to see what happens next!

You’re single and he’s hot.’”Overall, I thought this book was so cute. I liked how it was about an older woman and a younger man because it is very rare to read about that. The reason for that is because it does not seem to be a socially acceptable thing. If it was the other way around things would have been different. I cannot wait to read another book!
