More Lumberjanes fun. You have to see what the magic kittens can do. They stole the show. There are some super old Lumberjanes who run the camp that show up and kick butt. Barney appears in this one too. It is a lot of fun. Noelle Stevenson did not write this one and she was missed a little. The art work is slightly different as well. Este ya me ha gustado tanto como los del principio. Me encantan los gatetes mágicos que escupen fuego y levitan. Como siempre ha sido una maravilla, cuqui, y divertido. ♡

I still love the LumberJanes but this particular edition didn’t rock my boat as much as others. Not quite as funny but I did like that they let a boy join the group.

This again seemed a bit too easy and straightforward to me. I loved the kittens and all their powers, it just seemed like it was the set up for the next part of the adventure. I love the inclusion of Barney though. Basically more Barney, kittens, and plot and I would have been a very happy camper.

Story This was another fun volume. I especially loved the cats (and I'm more of a dog person), and the introduction of the Grand Lodge. I hope they do more with them in future volumes. There isn't much in terms of the ongoing story, but it does build the world of the Lumberjanes out a bit. I'm hoping they continue to explore that. Artwork All the artwork is good, but I like Carey Pietsch's (Chapter 25) work better than Ayme Sotuyo's work. It just feels more polished to me

Volume 7 of Lumberjanes features MAGICAL KITTIES! I'm always down for magical cats, and these ones do all sorts of fantastic things, including floating, telekinesis, and embiggening. The rest of the story is normal Lumberjanes: there's a giant bird that causes havoc and girls learning lessons about friendship. Not so sure I love the new art, but this series continues to be cute and quite good for the younger crowd.

3 1/2 stars - cute, fun, and entertaining, as Lumberjanes usually is! Not my favorite, as this one didn't really focus on any of the characters and was basically just centered around one wacky, somewhat forgettable adventure. Still an enjoyable graphic novel series I will continue to recommend!

Listen, I will probably always love Lumberjanes because it is so sweet and happy but I’m finding the plots in each volume getting a little bit weaker. I’m hoping in the next one the plot won’t be so isolated to the volume so I’m going to keep going because DAMN I WANT TO KEEP LOVING THIS ADORABLE SERIES.

A giant bird and magic kittens as well as some Camp elders are featured in this issue. I'm not a cat person but these magical kittens seemed pretty cool. And I continue to have more questions about this camp than any issue ever answers which is cool, I guess. I do wonder though if the creators have a red line they're following and a set end or if they're just making stuff up along the way. Also, how long does this camp last?

If at the end of a long read-a-thon a book can make me laugh it's really good. I so enjoyed this book. It was all the quirkiness, craziness of embracing of diversity that I love in Lumberjanes. A great entry in the series.
