Another really solid adventure into this kind of disturbing demonic world. Tanjiro defeats the evil creatures from the previous volume but as he embarks on a new quest he meets another demon slayer. This one is scared of his own shadow but he follows Tanjiro anyway because a sister and brother are scared to enter a home that stole his brother. So Tanjiro enters but will he come out? Or will a new demon and a psycho demon slayer prevent him from saving those who need saving. One thing I love abou Another really solid adventure into this kind of disturbing demonic world. He's always hopeful but also a badass when need be. I really enjoy the fact it stays light hearted at moments but also has some gory scenes that might make your stomach turn. The fights are great and easy to follow as well. The new guy is funny at times but also being scared of everything can be annoying. Overall, solid stuff. I'm digging this series. Feels like a 90's manga but with a modern twist. A 4 out of 5.

During and after the battle, we get to know a lot about him, his powers, and the threat he presents, to both humans and demons alike. And moving onto the next mission, Tanjiro comes across one of his fellow inductees, a coward and extremely whiny character in the form of Zenitsu, who seems like he got forced into this business and has a lot of anxiety about it. Both of them then proceed to enter a house where demons have trapped humans, and this was another instance where we get to know a lot about demons and their blood magic. Additionally, it reinforces Tanjiro's kindness, who is sad to have to kill demons for the sake of protecting humans. And unknown to him, we also see the demon's backstory (all of them were created from humans after all) and how he got roped into being Kibutsuji's minion. Overall, it is an enlightening volume, filled with tense moments, and well-written characterization. Received an advance reader copy in exchange for a fair review from Viz Media, via Edelweiss.

This volume introduced us to Zenitsu and a person wearing a boar's head on his head, both of whom are demon slayers like Tanjiro. Zenitsu is hilarious, and I love how he plays off of Tanjiro's strong determination and fighting spirit with his over-the-top cowardice. The fact that he can only fight in his sleep, but is unbelievably strong in this state is hilarious and awesome. I hope we get to see more of this character in later volumes, I'd love to get his backstory and see him in action more. The volume opens up with finishing the fight between the two demons from the last volume, and the fight was amazing. I loved seeing Nezuko take on Kemari-it was like an intense Feudal-era soccer match. Tanjiro went all-out in his fight and watching him analyze his opponent and formulate a plan was entertaining. The artwork is as strong as ever, with the demons (especially the one with the tsuzumi drums in him) are so detailed yet simple, they are equal parts awe-inspiring and terrifying. I absolutely adore this series and cannot wait to read volume four. Side note-I read this in paperback, not kindle as the description says. I didn't realize this was for the kindle addition until after I finished typing, so there's that.

Now their next mission is at the maddening house, and Tanjiro saves the brother and kills the demon. As reading the series, I realized that all the demons who worked for Kibutsuji, they all wanted to live a better life. Their old life so bad that they chose to become a demon instead. I am loving this series so much, but it is not blowing my mind at all. I hope that at one point of the series I will get that feeling from the books.

Really close to giving this one 3 stars as Zenitsu was unbearably annoying at first (I am an adult), and the action got very muddled/hard to follow in the demon’s mansion territory. But Tanjiro’s growth was lovely and I enjoyed the cliffhanger end to this collected volume.

Me esta gustando mucho como se va desarrollando la historia y que vayamos metiendo más personajes a la trama y me va a gustar ver en el siguiente tomo que va a pasar con el personaje que tiene una cabeza de jabali
