    [Read as single issues]On paper, Mark Waid and Mike Del Mundo with a mixture of legacy Avengers and newer characters sounds like a match made in Heaven, and yet, like Champions, it's missing something and I can't work out what.This first storyline should be even more epic, considering it's a Kang multi-time period crossover war type thing, and again it feels like it's missing the teeth that a book like Avengers should have.The dialogue's great. The character selection is great. And I don't understand why.Between this and Champions, Marvel's flagship books aren't anywhere near as good as they should be, despite all of the individual elements being in place to make them succeed.

    I'm a fan of both Kang issues and Mike Del Mundo - just a great fun read!!
