    Just when you think you've got things straight,Ms.Taite throws you another curveball in this her newest and 3rd installment of the Law series.She builds layers of intrigue,like a chef crafting a multilayer cake,with each layer providing tantalizing clue or red herring to keep readers engage/guessing.But no matter how diligently readers strive to peace everything together,it's doubtful anyone will see or find out the final twist before its reveal maybe in the next series...the storyline is also f Just when you think you've got things straight,Ms.Taite throws you another curveball in this her newest and 3rd installment of the Law series.She builds layers of intrigue,like a chef crafting a multilayer cake,with each layer providing tantalizing clue or red herring to keep readers engage/guessing.But no matter how diligently readers strive to peace everything together,it's doubtful anyone will see or find out the final twist before its reveal maybe in the next series...the storyline is also filled with romance,mystery,murder and has the same cast of characters interacting with a few new ones added...the writing is both satisfying and spare,dialogue is brisk and realistic..but as with any Taite book, not everything is as simple as it appears,the narrative takes on a decidedly slow build toward it's multiply twist ending..nicely done by the author!! highly recommend to all

    Enter into the wonderful fictional world where all law enforcement ladies are lesbians...sigh. Despite the strain it puts on my suspension of disbelief I do really like this series. (and with the numerous mentions of FBI agent Tanner Cohen being a lady who loves ladies I suspect book number 4 won't be long coming). So, Bianca and Jade, two minor characters from the previous book in the series are our new leading ladies and as usual with Carsen Taite they have masses of chemistry. For all the slightly stereotypical and repetitive elements, pretty much all the books could be subtitled "Conflict Of Interest" for example, they're still some of the best examples of the genre and are definitely worth a read.
