The Hand on the Wall (Truly Devious, #3)
New York Times bestselling author Maureen Johnson delivers the witty and pulse-pounding conclusion to the Truly Devious series as Stevie Bell solves the mystery that has haunted Ellingham Academy for over 75 years.Ellingham Academy must be cursed. Three people are now dead. One, a victim of either a prank gone wrong or a murder. Another, dead by misadventure. And now, an accident in Burlington has claimed another life. All three in the wrong place at the wrong time. All at the exact moment of Stevie’s greatest triumph . . .She knows who Truly Devious is. She’s solved it. The greatest case of the century. At least, she thinks she has. With this latest tragedy, it’s hard to concentrate on the past. Not only has someone died in town, but David disappeared of his own free will and is up to something. Stevie is sure that somehow—somehow—all these things connect. The three deaths in the present. The deaths in the past. The missing Alice Ellingham and the missing David Eastman. Somewhere in this place of riddles and puzzles there must be answers. Then another accident occurs as a massive storm heads toward Vermont. This is too much for the parents and administrators. Ellingham Academy is evacuated. Obviously, it’s time for Stevie to do something stupid. It’s time to stay on the mountain and face the storm—and a murderer. In the tantalizing finale to the Truly Devious trilogy, New York Times bestselling author Maureen Johnson expertly tangles her dual narrative threads and ignites an explosive end for all who’ve walked through Ellingham Academy.

At the end of The Vanishing Stair it says this book will apparently be called The Hand on the Wall??Whatever the name is, I'm bitter that I have to wait till next year to read it after yet another cliffhanger. The life of a reader is not a fair one.

This *BLEEPING* CLIFFHANGER! 2020 are you BLEEPING KIDDING ME?!!!! It’s so good it hurts. Literally stayed up to finish it and this is what I get? Instead of sleeping peacefully I’m going to go full on Stevie mode and try and solve it before the book comes out. Wish me luck that I somehow don’t die in the third book too. You know what I despise is that there is still so much that hasn’t been answered and I have to wait a YEAR! Hopefully I will survive year 3 of waiting for the book. Btw don’t recommend reading books that are new because they WILL break your heart and leave you stranded and you’ll have to patiently pick up the mess and distract yourself till the new book comes out. Still worth it.

How AM I supposed to WAIT for this book after that cliffhanger????This is NOT good for my mental well being, I do NOT trust the author with the characters that I love. I swear, Nate and David better be freaking spotless by the end of this.

Stop playing with our feelings 😭😭Cliffhangers and then to wait till 2020, this isn't fair. To all those who don't know much about this book, this is going to be 3rd book in "truly devious series" followed by the second book which was "the vanishing stair". I would definitely recommend it to crime thriller fans looking up for a mystery read. In terms of rating, 1) Truly devious 4.2/52)The vanishing stair 4.7/5Enjoy!!Stay happy ❤ Stop playing with our feelings 😭😭Cliffhangers and then to wait till 2020, this isn't fair.
