~4/5Is it just me, or do these books go by super fast? The page length is average, but these books take about half the time to read. I guess there’s less words and more action, but it seems ridiculous. It just makes me want more. The beginning of the volume featured Sharle, trying to save Kuklo. And then we get Kuklo, locked up and mistreated, and then being thrown beyond the wall. He makes a fast friendship with another inmate, Cardina. I like Kuklo, a lot, and I look forward to seeing what happens with him next. I hope we get to see him and Sharle together again, as it’s been a while, and I kind of love them. It was so sweet the way he worked hard to get back to her, and was relieved to hear that she was okay. My romance-loving heart just eats that stuff up.The previous volume left me feeling meh, but this one has me all excited again, and I love it. I can’t wait for the next one.[Read more at my blog, Geeky Reading!]

I love his sass and dismissal of what others think, and beat to his own drum. I like than him and Kuklo have partnered up because I think they are foils for one another, and I am enjoying that character development.I also love that we are getting hints of the present Survery Corp of Eren's period. I am also enjoying the hints towards the latest reveal in the Attack on Titan story line that unless you are caught up, you wouldn't even notice. They are establishing this series as it's own while cleverly and delicately tying it together with the orginal series.

I'm still not a huge fan of the art. At least the plot is picking up a bit. Kuklo finally makes a friend of a fellow prisoner. Along with other prisoners, they are exiled outside of the wall, which means certain death at the hands of Titans. Amazingly, Kuklo and his friend survive, and with the help of another, they escape within the wall again. Quick read.

A lot of filler in this one. It was a bit boring, but Cardina seems like a candid character :)I really enjoyed reading the extra, 'Sharle's Shiganshina Diary'- it was very amusing.

Attack on Titan: Before the Fall is the prequel of Attack on Titan. It’s set before wall Maria was breached and before they knew how to fight the titans. The story revolves around a boy that was born after his mother was regurgitated and the girl he befriended. The 4th installment has our Titan son taken by the military police and placed back in a cell just like he spent most of his life. He is put across the hall from a character who knows that they will be able to get out and has a plan to escape. Little did he know at the time it mean waiting till after they are sent outside of the wall for execution by Titan. Thankfully a friend on the inside gives him back his knife which will give them the chance to escape the ropes that bind the duo. Will they make it away before the Titans get them? Is there really a safe place on the outside of the wall? It’s been a while since I dove back into the world of the Titans but decided it was time to read about what happened before Attack on Titan. It’s interesting to see what happened 70 years in the past, and I’m curious to see how we will evolve to fight the titans. The art is entertaining it works well with the story. I really enjoy that each installment is a mix of story and action giving just enough to keep you wanting more. I’m already captivated by the two characters Sharle and Kuklo who escaped with their lives. I quickly fell in love with the prequel just like I did Attack on Titans. I can’t wait to see how it will progress and learn more about the characters in this series. The more I read the more I am enjoying this new spin.

Sukaaaaaaa~~~!!! Banyak Cardina-nya!!! Banjir Cardina!! Hati Gie berbahagiaaaaa~~~~!!! *salah fokus seperti biasanya*Duh, semenjak masih nomor-nomorin halamannya sambil baca sepintas-pintas, saya udah ngakak-ngakak mulu liat si Cardina. Kocak banget dia. Di versi LN udah dodol, di versi komik makin dodol lagi. Ahahahaha!!! Waktu pertama kali liat Cardina versi komik, komentar pertama yang saya lontarin adalah: "Kusakabe, is that you?" *terus aja salah fokus, Gie*

not all people in prison are criminals. Yes. Yes yes yes. This is honestly better then I thought it was going to be, and I think I like it more than I like the original AoT series (I'm sorry, I was never a hardcore fan, though the anime doesn't do the manga justice in the first place). Kuklo is wonderful. Carlo is wonderful. I even like Sharlie, except for the way she's drawn? For some reason it bothers me :P BUT YAY.

Holey Freaking Crow. I am just curious about whether or not this got the thumbs up from the original author. that would be cool, since it would make a bit of sense, but WOW. Brutal. the origins of 3D gear, FUUUUUN.
